Da Carozzi Pasturo Reviews
One of my favourite places in the entire world. SO GOOD
As we are avid wine & cheese enthusiast, I booked the Gourmet Experience + Dairy Visit (cheese factory tour) as a surprise for my wife. Our time at Da Carozzi far exceeded any expectations I had. The saying, first impressions are lasting ones definitely fits Da Carozzi Formaggeria. Starting from the surrounding area, to the drive across the quaint bridge onto their property, we felt whisked away. Even though we were about 15 minutes late for our tour, due to a late flight arrival into Milan + drive to the formaggeria, we were greeted with smiles and welcomes. Youness, our tour guide was super courteous throughout our time spent at Da Carozzi. He had tons of interesting information regarding the cheese manufacturing processes, and delivered the tour with genuine enthusiasm. After the tour, our Gourmet Experience included tastings of 8 cheeses, a bottle of wine, & 2 bowls of pizzoccheri (buckwheat pasta w/cheese) every bite & sip of those items was amazing. We COULD NOT have started our Italian vacation off in a better, more enjoyable way. Youness, our host/guide and Alessandro, his boss treated us tremendously well. For anyone who enjoys great cheese, and great wine, and a great atmosphere a visit to and tour at Da Carozzi Formaggeria and Cucina is a must!!!
We booked a tour and cheese tasting and we really liked it. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. We felt welcomed from the first moment on and enjoyed the tour, as well as the tasting, a lot. The cheese they produce is really tasty and they even gave us wine, water and bread to make the tasting even more enjoyable. If one loves cheese we really recommend coming here. On top, the mountains around invite for a walk (even if it is raining ;)).
We stopped to stock up some fabulous goats cheese, and some milk to make gelato. Sit in the restaurant and order the menu or you get take away from the deli is great!
Very nice shop wit great choice of italian chees
Great place that serves typical mountain food - try the "piatto unico " - polenta & mushrooms + pizzocheri ! Shop next door has a wide range of cheeses and salami. Staff efficient & friendly. Booking recommended. Free parking available
Great food, great drinks and quick service! Good job guys!
Nice place for resting and have a nice frozen yogurt. To be noted that at thsi place you can rent a standard bicycle (non electric) for 10e/2h and have an amazing bicycle ride.
Just popped for an Aperol and ended up having their taster menu and buying 3 cheeses! First class service, delicious home/farm produce, stunning views. Would very highly recommend. Enjoy!
We loved this cheese shop! We were looking for gifts for our friends back in Germany, and made gift cheese boxes with three different varieties of cheese. The young Italian man helping us was awesome! So friendly and patient and we were able to taste everything. Great recommendations, great variety, great experience. We picked up some cheeses for us— including two different types of beautiful talleggio, cenerino di Capra charcoal goat cheese, a not to be missed truffle cremino, as well as some bread for the drive back. We will definitely visit again if we’re back in the area. Thank you for the beautiful, high quality products at reasonable prices.
Very well organized modern structure to accomodate hikers, bikers and other visitors by car. Long tradition of cheese making, now proposed as share plates outdoor (in summer). Very good quality and great service. A must!
Very nice traditional cheese makers that sells directly to the public. A restaurant is also managed by them with very good choices of local and traditional dishes.
Great shop with fantastic selection of cheese. You can also have a snack (or a full meal) with local ham, cheese and wine or beer in a nice outdoor setting.
Great place to taste superb Cheese products produced directly from Carozzi. You are able to enjoy a very nice environment in the middle of the nature at the foot of the mountains of the Valley Valsassina. You can have then a walk on the cycle road along the river side.
Great place, drove one hour to get some fresh cheese but it was closed! quite disappointing. The open hours need to be updated.
