The #12 Burger is an honest and basic (in a good way) hamburger. It is a classic burger done well. Prices are very good when compared to other places in the city. The only recommendation I would make is to have cheddar cheese.

Stumbled into Va Bene and left very impressed. I had a classic burger with cheese, tomato, lettuce, onion, and mayo—nothing fancy, but it was just done perfect. Juicy, flavorful, and satisfying. The fries? Golden, delicious, and yes, a bit on the greasy side (heads-up if you’re counting calories), but honestly worth every bite. Service was fast, the vibe was casual and cool, and the prices? Lower than they should be for the quality you get. A hidden gem that lives up to its name—Va Bene, indeed.

Extremely delicious and cheap burgers! I paid 8€ for a cheeseburger with mayonnaise, onions, pickles and lettuce. The diner-like ambience is really nice as well.

Very tasty and affordable food. We tried their doble hamberguesa, and the chicken burger. The meat is juicy and perfectly cooked, but the choices are a bit limited and you need to add some ingredients to make the burger better. Everything was good except for the abusive quantity of mayonnaise in the burgers 😖, that I removed before eating. Service is at bar, waiters are friendly and the food arrived extremely fast. Would recommend 👍

I entered the restaurant with my brother (and cousin of course). Hungry, we were. Oh, you bet we were. Well my brother was the hungriest, sadly I came last. So we sat and ordered three different burgers. The fries were homemade but not the ketchup ;(. The onions were perfect though, probably picked at the right time and season. Good Spanish atmosphere and American decoration. Kid friendly. Will definitely come back with my wife and kids (when I get one) but not my geology teacher because she doesn’t like sesame seeds on her buns.

We got a take away from here. The service was outstanding English menus and the burger was superb. Really delicious highly recommended and would return. Thank you

Hamburguesas de precio/calidad buena, cocina abierta durante muchas horas. Las patatas van a parte si quieres, las cuales están ricas y en buena cantidad. Hacía muchísimo años que no venía por aquí y lo resucitó porque he estado muy agusto.

Un clásico de toda la vida, siempre bien para tomar una hamburguesa de carne rica sin pasar de 10€.

Son muy rápidos sirviendo y la comida es muy buena, el ambiente es tipo americano así que si te apetece una buena hamburguesa o un sandwich con patatas fritas caseras este es tu sitio!

Es un lugar precioso con dibujos y carteleras antiguas por todas partes con una estética de años atrás. La comida está deliciosa, pero lo típico de este lugar son las hamburguesas. El precio es un poco elevado pero al menos la calidad y el gran sabor de la hamburguesa lo compensa.

Es un buen sitio para tomarse una hamburguesa o similares de comida rápida. El servicio no era muy atento. Tenías que ir a buscar a la barra la comida. Tampoco había demasiada gente. Para mi gusto el local tenía aspecto mejorable.

Nos ha gustado. Muy rico las hamburguesas pero se nos ha quedado poco pequeñas. El trato de los camareros es bueno. Desde que hemos pedido hasta que nos lo han traído no ha pasado mucho tiempo. Se puede pedir para llevar en el mismo sitio y por teléfono. Hemos pedido CocaCola pero no sabíamos si era de lata, botellín pequeño o de cañero. Nos han dejado entrar con perro. Nos ha parecido muy higiénico que limpien rollo de cocina y no con trapo que puede arrastrar bacterias. Los baños limpios. Una lastima que haya clientes que después de comer mantengan su sobre mesa sin mascarilla. Colaboremos todos es cuestión de todos. Volveremos.👍🏻

Decided to have a late night take away burger and fries. Glad we came here. Excellent freshly cooked burger with cheese and fries to go. Very tasty. Recommended.

Food was quite delicious, as are 99% of restaurants in Donosti. The Americana themed posters from the 1940-1950s up on the wall were cute. VH1 was playing on the TV when we came in. I had the bacon, cheese, egg, and fried onions burger (the Ocho!) and the yolk burst immediately on the first bite. Which is fine; eggs in Spain are very high quality. I just wish they had given us more than one napkin each, or had a napkin dispenser near the seating area indoors. When I went to wash my egg-coated hand off, I discovered they had shut off the hot water in the bathroom, only cold was on. So yeah - great food, amusing ambiance, just a few annoying small touches lacking. It would be nice if they'd have a few more beers on tap - for a burger joint - but that's not a strike against them if that's not what Basque people generally want to drink.

Nice place with pleasant staff that were attentive and fast. The burger was tasty but I have never seen a burger with such rare meat especially on such a thin patty and it’s not what I prefer in a burger. I am sure you can ask to have it less rare though. Good fast food for the price so if you are in the mood for a burger in San Sebastián then go for this place.

La encontramos por casualidad, el local estaba lleno pero no tuvimos problema para obtener mesa, las hamburguesas no son gourmets pero el precio tampoco lo es y estaba bastante buena la verdad. Les recomiendo cambiar de pan para la hamburguesa y ya lo bordan. La única pega es que el bacon no estaba en su punto. La decoración Vintage es alucinante

Después de hacer la reserva de hamburguesas por teléfono. Llegamos allí y tenemos que esperar más de 30 min. Me cobran todas las hamburguesas y cuando llego a casa me faltan hamburguesas, les llamo y les comento lo que a pasado y me dicen con todo su borro y de malas maneras que la próxima vez no me la obran. Son unos si vergüenza por qué no es la primera vez que pasa.

Ojalá tener una máquina del tiempo para poder evitarme el mal rato de cenar allí, productos de segunda calidad y mala ejecución de los procesos. El resultado la peor hamburguesa que he comido en años. Se salvan las patatas fritas, pero con un aprobado justito. El servicio, al nivel de sus burguers, primero ponen el refresco rompiendo la burbuja y luego el hielo, por si quedó alguna.

La experiencia en general nos dejó todo que desear. Fui con mi familia, por recomendación, ya que años antes habían venido y parece que la comida era buena. Pero justo entrando, un camarero nos cerró la puerta en la cara. Nos dijeron que teníamos que esperar entre 15-20min a que se calentara la freidora para poder tener la ración de patatas fritas que pedimos, y estuvimos esperando una hora, para al final tener que irnos sin comer porque no tenían ni una ni otra cosa. Y como guinda del pastel, en la mesa junto a la nuestra una familia cambiaba el pañal de su bebé, cosa que llenó el local de un olor especialmente fetido, y los camareros ni caso. No está demás destacar que esto no solo hace la experiencia bastante desagradable, sino que supone una amenaza a la salubridad del local que, insisto, parece que a los camareros les importa poco. En fin, no volveríamos, servicio 0, ambiente 0, y la comida… ni llego

I cannot give more than one atar to this restaurant. Honestly: service is crap; the waiter is unfriendly; does not even look into peoples faces, gave a french menue without even asking (who said we speak french? ...) and careless ( he put the beer in front of the children and sort of just slamed the waterbottles onto the tables). The burger were ok but nothing extraordinary. Way too much mayo on it. The fries were tiny . When i read the other reviews i can't help but think that foreign looking people are not welcome.

I ordered a cheeseburger and French fries. The fries I was served were nothing but tiny scraps, most of them not even 2 cm long, as if they had just been scooped up from the bottom of the fryer. It was honestly the worst French fries I’ve ever had in my life — even fast food or frozen fries would have been much better. What made it worse was that the couple sitting behind us received a large portion of proper fries that looked fresh and delicious. I couldn’t help but feel discriminated against as a foreigner. As for the cheeseburger, it had none of the lettuce or tomato shown in the photos. It was literally just cheese and meat, looking more like a child’s burger than what I ordered. The service was unmotivated and careless as well. Going there on my first day was a huge mistake — never again.

Reddish and undercooked meat, although we asked for it to be cooked more thoroughly 3 times. The potato fries were terrible, so GREASY! Basically no vegetarian options. The only good thing was the coca cola! In the end, never ever again.

We were served the worst cheeseburgers ever. The meat was still raw and the burger only consisted of the bread, cheese and meat. I expect more when I order a cheeseburger. We then tried to tell the restaurant that we didnt't like the burger and that we'd like a refund but instead they threatened us with the police if we did 't pay. I don't recommend this place!! PS: The fries were very small and also not the best.

Went today, march 7th 2023 at 3pm for a burger. For context I should say I lived in San Sebastián for 15 years and know va bene well. The treatment was absolutely terrible. No one sat us, no one asked if the food was ok, no one smiled. The scruffy looking man and young woman “working” completely ignored us. Honestly I’m surprised they have any clients. Oh, and the fries were completely cold. Never again

as I asked a local & I got this place suggested, so was very enthusiastic to try the food. Got here and everything was very strange since ordering. They didn't let me sit on a table and asked to eat in terrace & i did so. Same person brought me 2 cola and I was like mate, I am only one person so!! :)) then when I asked if i could sit inside as some people left he denied again. After minutes came to just ask them kindly to let me know when a table gets free, realised he let others to sit in same table. i asked why and he turned to Spanish, then started acting not politely so i asked an older person why he is so rude and speaks loud! so to my eyes act of racisim. They even didn't bring cutlery for me. therefore they deserve not any star!
