A wonderful experience, great customer service and delicious food! Will definitely be returning.
I have yet to step inside Varli but they were kind enough to sponsor food for our organization’s event. The biryani was delicious! Everyone was appreciative! Will definitely have a visit very soon. Thank you for your support!
Loved my experience at Varli! The staff was welcoming and the food was delicious from start to finish.
My family and our friends enjoy everything we ate, the restaurant is cute, service was excellent. A bit pricey but was worth it. In this economy the prices matches what was served. We will be back!!
Love everything about this small place. The decor is fantastic and the food was great. Super nice staff, as well. Best Indian choice in the area.
first time here today tried pani puri, butter chicken momos and mango lassi and wow was I impressed! Delicious food and service is great as well I will be back! Thank you!
"I'm obsessed with this small, cozy spot! It's got a lively vibe that makes you feel right at home. The service is top-notch - the staff treats you like family, making you feel like you're having a meal in your own kitchen. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I am here 2nd time in just 2 days. Highly recommend for a relaxed, comforting dining experience!"
Great food, fast service, and really good flavors. Everything tasted fresh and the portions were perfect. Definitely recommend for takeout!
The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great! The portions were good and the price felt reasonable.
Been there few times. Food quality is excellent. Traditional Indian cuisine
Food is delicious! Staff is friendly and fantastic. Best Indian food ever!
Food is absolutely spectacular and the vibes were immaculate, the interior of the restaurant is beautiful and the food just reminded me of home. It’s unmatched.
Excellent food. Reminds me of typical Indian street food, including the distinct flavors. Maybe its the authentic spices? Maybe its the oil used for cooking? Maybe its the chef? Liked by everyone at my home, young and old. The egg bhurji paratha was on point, chicken tikka pizza was awesome. Chole bhature were good too. The hakka noodles took me back to my childhood. The pizza took more than 30mins to make, wish we were informed about that prior to placing the order. Will definitely be coming back to try out other things on the menu.
The food was delicious, perfectly prepared," or "Went above and beyond, truly exceeded expectations, highly recommend!❤️
Excellent food! Great vibe inside. Dahi Puri and Mango Lassi was a big hit with my mom. Channa masala was delicious, hearty and gingery. We were given a complimentary ice cream since we ordered takeout dinner on a Monday! I'd like to come back and try breakfast. Best of luck to this small business in Williston Park!
If you're in the mood for flavorful Indian cuisine and exceptional service, this restaurant is a must-try. The staff truly elevates the experience—welcoming, attentive. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for both a casual meal or a special night out. Highly recommend for anyone craving top-notch Indian food with great hospitality to match!
Varli catered our meeting, and it was seriously the best Indian food we've ever had. It was so yummy and flavorful, and everyone loved it. We're totally hooked on that place and will be back for sure. Thank you so much, Varli Indian Kitchen!
Came here for brunch on a Sunday and the food was absolutely delicious. The ambience, service and the decor was on point. The best brunch item was Egg Kejriwal. Food was so good that we had to come again for lunch. The best part - it's halal!!
Really, appreciate for the food. I ordered noodles, Vadapav, mango lassi and garlic naan with Chana masala and daal makhni flavor and consistency of all food was delicious.
Had an awesome experience at Varli. Firstly the halwa puri chola and aloo were just spot on in terms of taste. It had the perfect blend of spice and taste. Served with achar and onions made it even more delicious. Secondly the kadak chai with Parle G was another banger! The chai was truly kadak and with biscuits is very thoughtful as any desi would love to have such a combo. Lastly we were served a paan bite and it was just too good. The food and its serving is curated to perfection. The quantity of food is great too. The ambiance and decor of the place gives you chill kinda vibes which is perfect for people for a weekend hangout craving desi food like halwa puri with some really nice Indian songs played in the background. Highly recommend this place for a perfect weekend breakfast or evening chill vibes. Well done Varli!
Excellent, freshly prepared Indian street food. Some items that you rarely see locally, and everything we had was stunning. The paratha was the best I have tasted, as was the lassi. Portions were generous, and prices reasonable. This is really worth a visit.
This place has a nice Mumbai ambiance, we ordered chai, makki ki roti and sarson ka saag which was awesome, chicken keema was good , Momos was good . Best place for vegetarians and non vegetarians. Staff is friendly, they have less staff I felt so might experience a slight delay but still the wait is worth it
I’m glad I found this restaurant, i travel all the way from queens to get my Indian food from this spot. The best Indian food our family has tasted. Always delicious, fresh and amazing menu.
Excited to see a local restaurant with good Indian street food. This was our first time with kids, and we loved all the dishes. We mostly ordered all the small dishes, and they were spot on with spices, and quality ingredients. Varli has great decor, ambiance and polite service. Highly recommend.
Amazing food. My go tos are Hakka veg noodles, peri peri paneer sandwich with masala fries, and the masala Limca soda, but they have a lot of great choices.
The place was super cozy and today they opened for breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing. I had the Aloo Halwa puri and the egg bhujji was also amazing. Paratha was fresh and delicious. Will definitely come back. The owner Varli confirmed meat is halal. A great addition to the neighborhood. Oh and chai was awesome and was complimentary today!
Such a cute little spot! You can truly feel the love and effort that’s gone into creating this place. The ambiance has a warm, nostalgic charm, and the service is genuinely top-notch. The food absolutely hit the spot—fresh, flavorful, and comforting. The chai comes with Parle-G biscuits (such a lovely touch!) and the chole bhature is proper North Indian style—fluffy, crispy, and delicious. Surprisingly enough, they even have a paan corner! So fresh and authentic—it really adds to the whole experience. A must-try! I’ll definitely be going back.
Have nothing but great things to say about this charming Indian eatery. Been to Varli 3 times in the past week and each experience was delicious. All the dishes we ordered hit the mark. Highly recommended the Chicken Shami Kabab burger with Masala fries, chicken saag and Kadak Chai. From the breakfast menu do try the chicken keema with Paratha and the Puri Sabzi with Halwa. The staff is very attentive and Varli is a thorough professional and very friendly.
5/5 stars "Varli Indian Street Kitchen exceeded my expectations! The Veg Biryani was flavorful and authentic, with perfect balance of spices and fluffy rice. But the Butter Chicken Momos stole the show! Soft, juicy, and packed with rich, creamy flavor. Genius combination! Generous portions, reasonable prices, and authentic Indian food with a modern twist. Highly recommend! Must-try dishes!"
As a Pakistani, I was a bit skeptical about trying Indian food at Varli Indian Street Kitchen, located on Hillside, which opened its doors to the public on August 21st. But, thanks to my friend Adnan's insistence, I gave it a shot - and I'm so glad I did! Serving 100% Halaal meat, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors. Goan Grilled Pomfret: 4.5/5 Expertly cooked with a perfect balance of spices, the pomfret was a delight. The presentation was stunning - a treat for the eyes! Bhel Puri: 4.5/5 A flavorful and refreshing take on the classic street food, with a generous portion size. The colorful mix of ingredients made for a visually appealing dish. Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich: 4.8/5 A mouth-watering combination of juicy chicken, crispy exterior, and spicy kick. The sandwich was beautifully plated, making it almost too good to eat! Malai Chicken: 4.5/5 Rich, creamy sauce and tender chicken made for a satisfying dish. The garnishes added a pop of color, making the dish a feast for the eyes. Let's support this new restaurant and help them thrive! Varli Indian Street Kitchen exceeded my expectations, and I'm sure it will become a favorite for many. Don't miss out - visit them today and indulge in the delicious flavors of India! Rating: 4.6/5 Highly recommended for anyone seeking authentic Indian cuisine in the area. Let's show our support and make this restaurant a success!
We had a late lunch with a large party. The food was tasty and the lunch special rice bowl was an excellent value. The naan was large! I sometimes find Indian food too spicy but this wasn't!
Exceptional Indian Cuisine!!! Varli is a small local restaurant on Hillside Ave in Williston Park. They make you feel at home. The review of the food is exceptional. Whole spices used in the dishes. Indian Food flavors are always warm and inviting. Varli has captured what I remember Indian Food to be. I will be visiting again soon!!! I was impressed on how the condiments were served in traditional Indian Clay serving pieces. The decoration was simple with traditional Indian Cookware along the back wall. The employees are great. There are not enough words to tell you how much the food and experience at Varli is exceptional.
Food was really really good!! They deserve more customers. Everything was delicious, staff super kind :)
Just returned from India a couple of weeks ago. Tonight, I visited and enjoyed Varli Indian Street Kitchen on Hillside Avenue in Williston Park. The decor is amazing Almost every table was taken. The gentlemen servers were so kind and friendly. The food was truly amazing. Cant wait to return. Everything about tonight was just perfect.
Varli is an absolute hidden gem! They specialize in Desi snacks and curries. Everything we tried was full of rich, authentic flavor. The mango lassi was perfectly balanced-not too sweet and not too thick. It was truly on point. The chai, though, was the star of the night. It was the perfect warm, aromatic finish after a delicious dinner. The staff deserves a special shout out as well. They were incredibly attentive, friendly, and provided fast service from start to finish. Overall, Varli offers amazing food with hospitality that makes you want to come back again and again. Highly recommended!
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and served hot. The staff were friendly and checked on us often to make sure we had everything we needed. I also liked the clean and comfortable atmosphere—it made the meal even more enjoyable. The service was fast, and the prices were fair for the quality of food. I will definitely come back again and recommend this place to my friends!
Varlikitchen is incredible! Every dish was full of authentic flavor and beautifully presented. The Chicken Manchurian was perfectly saucy and spicy, the Varli Lamb Burger was juicy with fresh slaw and soft buns, and the Chole Bhature was pure comfort with fluffy bhature and rich chickpeas. The Chole Kulcha was another standout—soft, buttery kulcha with perfectly seasoned chole and classic sides. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. Easily one of the best spots for Indian street food with a modern touch—highly recommend!
First of all, as you enter the restaurant, it gives you a very authentic vibes and days back in India.... As we walk in and saw how it is, we were very excited to try the food. Their way of presenting the food was amazing. It is a good place to visit with you family and friends... Would love to visit again!!
"Authentic, flavorful, and welcoming!" Varli Indian Street Food delivered exactly what I was hoping for—fresh, authentic flavors with that true street food vibe. Every dish was seasoned perfectly, served hot, and felt like it was made with care. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure everything came out right and on time. The atmosphere is casual but vibrant, a perfect spot for grabbing a quick bite or sitting down with friends. Portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very fair for the quality.
A delightful and transportive experience! It had the atmosphere reminiscent of my earlier street-food days in India with a menu to match! This is not your “run-of-the-mill-regular-Indian-food-in-America” restaurant. I ordered the well-presented Amritsari Fish that was tasteful, which I made into my own kathi roll up, along with the aam panna drink that felt refreshing; I only wish there was more of it. This was my first visit to Varli, but certainly not going to be my last, as I want to try everything on the menu! I plan to go for the breakfast this weekend. Shout out to Vinod for great service!
Updated to 5* as went again and had their Lohri feast( no fee ) and had few more items. This place made my weekend vibrant! My kinda of food taste , ambience and the service . Went for breakfast and just fell for it. I would recommend to all to visit . The owner Ms Varli was very courteous and professional. The interior decor is on pork to match the Desi vibe. Definitely my go to place for breakfast or evening snack.i loved the presentation( especially the coffee tray)😊 Just kept 1 star less so that i visit again and hope to see they are consistent . Otherwise it is 5/5 for every service .
Really good food, I would have given 5 stars if it was served quicker. Food takes about 45 mins to arrive from the kitchen.
Going to lunch here made my day. It's so rare these days to eat out and feel like you're actually having a special experience. The food was yummy, the presentation was fun, and the service was super friendly. You can tell, in the decor and the flavors, that they really pay attention to detail and that they really care about the quality of the product they serve you. It was also really special to have the experience of the goli soda, which I have heard stories about from my parent's generation since I was a kid. It was always this urban legend to me, but today I got to have it! Just lovely. I hope they keep the vibe going in the coming months and years.
The food was delicious and interesting. My kids are picky eaters but we found something everyone liked. The okra fries are so good. Keema fries were really good too. Chicken tikka masala was pretty standard. Maggi was good but probably something that can be made at home. Pani puri was not worth it. Priced way too high for the quantity and they were a bit stale. Everything was good but I’m on the fence if it is worth a second visit.
This was our first time here. We ordered chicken keema with Rumali Roti, chicken tikka masala bowl with lacha paratha and butter chicken momos. Rumali roti and lacha paratha were the best I have had in NY. Very authentic and flaky. All other dishes were delicious too. They also gave us complimentary papad with a side of tamarind and mint chutney. Special mention for the decor. Loved the little details, paintings, swings everything took us back to India.
Came here in September of last year, ordered butter chicken momos for takeout. The food was fairly good, ambience was nice with setup of a dhaba. Food is mostly like Indian street food. Good for a quick bite.
Nice vibes. Excellent decor. Friendly staff. Good food but perhaps not quite on par with some other Indian eateries in nearby NHP/Floral Park & Hicksville. Beetroot tiki chaat - interesting, but the fried crust a bit too thick. Nice seasoning chicken keema with roomali roti - good but lacking flavor depth saag paneer - solid. Other places make it creamy. This version is not. mango lassi - good. thick with a nice touch of saffron
This restaurant serves a variety of dishes. In terms of Indian Food I believe this is an entry level option. Nothing really blew me away however the service was excellent. I felt much welcomed. Ambiance was there but a little underwhelming. I thinks it’s great to take people that are unsure if they love Indian Food. And when it comes to it, there’s no comparison in the area so I hope they hold it down. :)
Food was okay, we ordered keema fries, beetroot tiki chat was just beetroot tiki and missing everything else, and bel puri from the starters. Nothing in the starters was outstanding. We also got amritsari fish which was good and so was chicken korma. The ban chicken shami kabab was super dry, and the shami kabab was half the size of the bun. Overall we won't be coming back.
We ordered a lamb curry to go and there was literally 8 small dry pieces! The sauce and flavors were “no better than the frozen Trader Joe’s Indian meals” (my husband’s words). Okra and onions were also fine but nothing to write home about. Naan was a good size but damn, rest of the meal felt like an inflation meal. Super disappointing with all the great reviews so we’re genuinely puzzled. Maybe eat here, don’t get takeout?
I really don't understand how this restaurant has this many positive reviews. As people who know authentic Indian food, we did not enjoy any of the food we ordered. Nothing tasted fresh. Samosas (very tiny) in the chat and momos seemed like the frozen ones from Apna Bazar. The "butter chicken" sauce on the momos literally tasted like Campbell's Tomato soup poured on top. Pav bread for the keema pav was stale or felt to have been refrigerated for a long period. Dahi was sweet. Everything was overpriced for the poor quality. Oddly enough, some guy was shouting, "you guys should be closed down" on the sidewalk while we were eating. Would not recommend this restaurant.
So we went to this restaurant because of its name thinking it will have Mumbai style food. They are serving frozen food.. Especially ecially, not for Punjabis. People who are used to freshly cooked food. They have no clay oven so they take frozen food from the packets and heat it up on grill and give it to you. Do yourself a favor, my frozen food of your choice food from any Indian supermarket and eat it peacefully in your own house 😯
Dont go! Way expensive , bad food , A dahi poori and lassi costed $20! What on earth the prices are??? They didn’t even give me the actual bill. Posting the pics for reference as well. Overpriced, inexperienced people working, food is not good. DO NOT GO Dahi poori was made without any sauce, 5 pooris costed $13 ! Ridiculous! A premade sour lassi is $6 !
Ordered from uber eats , the food wasnt tasty at all. The food was totally bland . I ordered butter chicken momos, vada pav, daal maakni , and chili chicken. Everythign was sub par . Portions are kind of small which i wouldnt have minded if the food was good tasting but this absolutely wasnt.
I ordered over phone just 8 samosas without chat/choley. When I went in to pick they charged me $40. I was so mad, got ripped off -- so I double asked them 8 SAMOSAS COST 40$ !!! They should have charged not more than $16 and their samosas were medium size too. As a courtesy they should have told me with or without chat/choley price would be same. I was in a rush on rainy day so paid the price of getting robbed by Varli restsurant.
