Great freshly made to order Latin food. Fast and efficient service!! ambiance is clean, but not many seats available.
Good food but the inside was dirty! Not a single table was cleaned. And there was no ice. So it was room temperature sodas tbh. We sat outside because the weather was nice so it wasn’t so bad seating wise that day. But the no ice was sad.
The place is absolutely disgusting food all over the counters, smelled like raw meat all over the counter like where you order:( the chips were not even edible probably was sitting out for days. Food is as good as any other of it's franchised locations. Set up is pretty much the same. They have some outdoor seating. Establishment is located in an outdoor mall. Very nice area. Good people. Nice staff. I've always felt prices are a bit high but the food is good. Only suggestion I have is keep tables and trash cleaned more frequently. That should be 1 person's sole responsibility. Other than that this place serves its purpose.
Seems this location has gotten worse every time I’ve come in the last few months. The place is always unkept and dirty (food prep space and dining space). Team members are unfriendly and seem not to care about getting orders right. I ordered a kids steak quesadilla and got a half filled bowl of rice and dry steak. No tortilla, no cheese LOL.. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Chipotle. Within hours, I became extremely sick, and looking back, I should have trusted my instincts when I saw the poor quality of the food and how the restaurant was being run. The food handling was alarming. It looked like meat and ingredients had been sitting out far too long, and nothing appeared fresh. The serving line was dirty, with food scattered all over the counter and containers that clearly hadn’t been cleaned. Despite this, employees were just standing around instead of addressing the mess or maintaining basic sanitation. What made this even worse was the complete lack of professionalism and respect for customers’ food. Several employees had their hair fully down, no hair restraints, and no masks or precautions while serving food. This is basic food safety, and it was completely ignored. There was a very long line, yet only one employee was actually working the line while others did nothing. Customers were visibly frustrated, and many people left without ordering because of the wait and the conditions. I have genuinely never seen a Chipotle run this poorly. This location is dirty, disorganized, and careless when it comes to food safety and customer health. Until there is serious management intervention and accountability, I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant. No one should risk getting sick because employees don’t respect cleanliness or the food they’re serving.
Very disappointing experience at this Chipotle. The portions were extremely small. I paid extra for double chicken, and even after double-checking, the amount wasn’t even close to a normal single serving. They use a very flat, spatula-like scoop instead of a proper scoop, which makes it easy to serve much less chicken. The atmosphere was just as bad. Tables were dirty, the area around the utensils was messy, and there was food everywhere. It felt unhygienic and poorly maintained. On top of that, the food tasted bad overall, which is very different from what I’m used to. This location is nothing like New York City Chipotle locations, where portions, cleanliness, and food quality are consistently better. Overall, this was a frustrating experience and not worth the money.
Excellent venue very disorganized,always an issue if not to pay or broken soda/drink machine, but no Chipotle sauce? At a place literally named Chipotle? Real? That location needs to be revised by corporate. Just feel sorry for the employees.
I had a very bad experience at this Chipotle (Cross County Mall, 8/31/2025 around 7:15 PM). The counters and glass were dirty, and the staff member serving me had a rude, dismissive attitude. She scooped greasy scraps of braised beef from the bottom of the pan onto my plate without asking, instead of getting fresh food. The beef was extremely greasy and tasted old. That night I became violently ill (vomiting, diarrhea, body aches, dehydration), and my husband also woke up with stomach pains. This location urgently needs better food safety and customer service.
Extremely Unprofessional Experience – July 24, 2025 I’m writing to share a deeply disappointing experience my girlfriend and I had at your Chipotle location on the morning of July 24, 2025. As someone who has worked in retail since 2015, I’ve never encountered such a lack of professionalism, urgency, or basic customer service as I did during this visit. My girlfriend and I placed a mobile order via the Chipotle app at 10:25 AM after our gym session, knowing the store opens at 10:45 AM. We planned accordingly, arriving at the front door just before opening time. However, when 10:45 arrived, the doors remained locked. One employee was visible inside, casually using her phone with no urgency or acknowledgment of waiting customers. Other guests were also standing outside, confused, especially seeing people already inside via what appeared to be a back entrance. After several knocks, someone finally unlocked the door. Upon entering at 11:04am, we found a line of customers waiting with no clear indication of service beginning soon. We overheard a staff member telling a guest, “We are not taking cash right now.” The guest asked if card was accepted, only to be ignored. Multiple employees stood around silently, making no effort to communicate with waiting customers. Frustrations escalated as it became clear no one was in control or informed. Eventually, the same employee who said they couldn’t take cash pulled out a cash drawer after further complaints, contradicting her earlier claim and showing no coordination with the rest of the staff. Notably, we observed the POS system was working fine from where we were standing. When a guest requested a manager, he arrived and displayed zero urgency or concern, despite rising tension and customer dissatisfaction. Adding to the unprofessionalism, he had someone visibly waiting for a job interview—an odd and concerning display given the chaos unfolding. By approximately 11:15 AM, our order was finally marked ready. When we approached the counter, the cashier asked my girlfriend if she had a pickup order. She confirmed, providing her name, but the employee ignored her. The order was clearly visible in the back, and another team member could have handed it over—but again, poor communication delayed the process another five minutes. When we finally received our food, parts of our order were incorrect. To the store owner or whoever is responsible for staffing this location: this team reflects incredibly poorly on your brand. There was no communication, no leadership, and no sense of urgency from any employee present. If you want this store to operate efficiently and retain customers, a serious reevaluation of the staff and management is necessary.
The 1st time I ate here the food was so fresh and tasted great. The 2nd and 3rd time I ate here I got food poisoning and was sick the whole night. The food wasn't fresh and didn't taste good. When I entered the door there were bags of rice and food items stacked on the floor where they didn't belong. The Veggie Bowl I ordered was from the day before, you could tell because the bottom of the cardboard dish was soggy.
As much as I love the food I remember why I don’t come here as much. Having 8 people behind the counter 7:30 on a Monday night with no line/wait and not one person can wipe off the tables, fill the napkins or even address the over pouring ice machine (with tiles I might add). It’s wild. I had to take pics because it’s beyond belief. When I asked if someone could come and do something they were silent and handed me napkins. I watched three staffers come and get drinks for themselves but not deal with the nastiness. Do better, please. I dog
Food is good, people working here are slammed and trying their best but this place is a dump. My kids wanted delivery but the fees are so high I said I’d pick up. This place is really dirty. Trash and food everywhere on the floor. I’ve been to a few chipotles- NJ mostly where my son plays sooner. They are so clean usually. I don’t get why this place is so awful. I blame the customers of course but there doesn’t seem to be anyone cleaning. They have security on staff but no one to clean. There are no security guards in the NJ Chipotle’s I’ve been to. UPDATE: someone from chipotle leaves the message below - saying please contact us for further help. They just say thanks for letting us know, sorry it’s so dirty. And I had no idea the reviews for cleanliness have been going on for a while so obviously it’s an ongoing long term issue that won’t really get resolved I less stores stop using delivery services, that is what I think is the main reason for the lack of cleaning. Not enough staff for the amount of delivery orders so cleaning is the last priority it seems.
Only ordered two kids meal. Rice, beans, tomatoes and cheese tortilla. Nothing complicated. No tomatoes, no quesadillas and the rice and beans was ridiculous not to mention looked like someone ate before sending. Tried to have money back.. said will give some back for one meal only. Ridiculous.
This location is consistently dirty, making it uncomfortable to eat inside. Having worked in a fast-food restaurant myself, I know it’s standard practice to check and clean the lobby every 10 minutes. But the employees here never seem to clean the lobby, tables, or bathroom. I hope the management reads this review and takes action, as it’s disappointing to see the same issues every time I visit.
The pictures say it all!! Who’s managing this establishment?! It’s the worst I’ve ever seen in any food establishment in Cross County Mall. I observed at least 6 - 8 employees behind the counter with only one employee on the serve line. The other employees including security seemed very consumed and flooded with online orders and pick ups. I guess that’s what takes precedence over maintaining cleanliness at this location. That look is definitely a reflection of management. I’m done Chipotle!
I like to think of myself as one of chipotle biggest customers and I have never experience anything like what I experienced last night. I order from this location and the food was absolutely disgusting, couldn’t eat my bowl. I am so disappointed because how did y’all even make that happen? To top it all off I had a piece of meat sitting at the bottom of my damn queso dip… That was definitely the icing on the cake
This is easily one of the worst chipotles in existence. The place is usually full of trash. Litter all over the floor, trash cans full and tables are a mess. The food is usually below average chipotle standards and they frequently short you on protein. Often out of options at the time of order. Staff is rude. I have written to chipotle corporate numerous times regarding this location and no changes have been made. I will not be returning. Update just another day of overflowing trash here at the worst chipotle in the city. Update broken glass all over the ground
What is this?????? I took ONE bite and the chicken and already knew something was off. I spat out the chicken and checked the other pieces and it was raw! The flesh was still pink and there was blood in BOTH BOWLS! I know it was an hour before closing but how about cooking everything throughly before letting people eat it. DISGUSTING. I should’ve known something was off because the chicken is usually dry as hell.
