Sushi Noguchi Yorba Linda Reviews
The food is fantastic. Sushi selection was top notch, omakase was affordable, and chicken teriyaki was flavorful. Perfect for everyone from sushi experts to novice and texture specific.
best omakase for my wife and i. Great memories made for our birthday celebration. Thank you to the dinner service team on 2/21/26. Shout out to our servers Kevin and Tu.
very fresh sushi, scottish salmon, omakase options. as others have mentioned the stand out feature is the quality of the ingredients - if you want a fried rocket drenched in spicy mayo you won’t enjoy this place although they do have fried options - this is more authentic and for those with some sushi experience. food is clean and fresh and tasty. i never had crispy tuna rice where i could see the fresh tuna chunks very cool!
Hiro’s Omakase (order this!) does not miss. I’ve gone here a couple of times and the chefs are doing God’s work. 10/10 would recommend this local and somewhat hidden gem!
It's been a minute since my last visit, but I dined here recently and had a wonderful experience. We made reservations for dinner, and everything was set up when we arrived. We looked through the menu and decided on some nigiri, hand rolls, tempura, starters, and a couple of beers. The sushi tasted fresh and well prepared, and the nigiri were decently sized. I enjoyed the Baked Blue Crab Handroll and the Agedashi Tofu. Overall, everything was delicious. We had one child with us; his order was the karaage (fried chicken) plate for kids. The staff was excellent, and the owner greeted us and ensured everything was going well. This is a solid sushi restaurant. with a relaxed atmosphere, and I hope to return to try the omakase and other offerings.
Noguchi is simply the best sushi spot in Yorba Linda and we are so lucky to have it. There are quite a few options around here and some are quite a bit cheaper but none have the quality that Noguchi has. Their fish is not only impeccably sourced but masterfully cut and presented. You can tell that the all the chefs are quite passionate about their trade and it really elevates the experience. Their dining room is quite casual and I feel comfortable coming dressed up for dinner or right off the tennis courts for lunch.
It was amazing, tried both Jun's and Hiro's omakases and they were both amazing, definitely the best fish I've ever eaten, and I've eaten plenty of sushi in Japan. Also tried their Miyazaki beef and it was also delicious, as good as the A5 steaks I've had in Japan, definitely would recommend. Came during covid and they were very professional and clean. The number of people inside was very limited, all the staff was wearing masks, and we sat at the bar, where each space was separated by a divider, definitely felt safe.
Sushi chef is very skillful. Sweet shrimps are not as tasty as the deep dried head, it tastes like soft shell crab. Sashimi are fresh and well prepared.
It’s a very traditional sushi spot, the staff are very respectful and the food they bring out is high quality. A must have for people who like a more traditional authentic experience with Japanese food. Omakase available as well.
Best sushi in town and nearby areas. Thanks Noguchi!

Very , very delicious and good food!
Great value for the lunch set on weekdays. Both Chirashi bowl and sashimi plate are on point.
This place is amazing. Everything is so fresh and tastes divine. Very authentic. I highly recommend it.
delicious! can’t wait to come back :))
I absolutely adore this particular restaurant - it's one of my all-time favorite places to eat sushi at! What really sets it apart is the impeccable service from the waitstaff, who are always charming, friendly, and go above and beyond to make your dining experience top-notch. And the food? Oh my goodness, it's simply phenomenal. Every dish is bursting with fresh and delicious flavors that leave you wanting more. I can't recommend this restaurant enough!
Great value for the quality. Friendly staff. Always a good experience! Also the sea bass dinner comes with an appetizer and a salad to start which was a nice surprise but also a lot of food so plan accordingly! We got nigiri and that and (happily) ate way too much!
Hands down the beat Omakase and sushi restaurant in north OC. I have been coming here for over a decade and not once was I ever disappointed with the food or service. Nigiri Omakase is nicepy priced at $70 for dinner, but you can also try the chef special should you want to splurge a little. As a person who grew up eating sushi all my life and as a person with Japanese heritage, I truly highly recommend this place!!
Wow! The quality definitely justifies the price. Easily the best sushi I have had in a while. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend the Hiro’s and Jun’s Omakase.

Sushi noguchi is hands down my favorite sushi place now. Never would have heard about it until my boss and coworkers took me one day. Their omakase is some of the best fish I've ever eaten. The chef Jason always serves the best fish and is always extremely kind and personable. I love the place and always look forward to going back on Tuesdays, highly recommend going.
Good spot, good food. Highly recommend. Very fresh.
Omakasi is definitely the way to go if you're a true sushi person!

Spent $150 on a few pieces of sushi and 2 ($14 5 oz) glasses of wine and 2 beers. Left to have a full meal elsewhere. This place is fine if you like simple rolls and no drinks or have an unlimited budget.
Update: I visited again yesterday after more than half a year and I must say quality has really gone down. Sushi pieces are not consistent in sizes, does not taste fresh. Older Korean chef forgot about our Spicy Tuna roll order and when asked upon after 15 minutes, chef gave us an incredible sloppy-made and not-tasty roll. Now I’m absolutely certain I won’t be coming back to this establishment. I recommend going to Sushi Imari down the street instead. —————— My wife and I discovered Sushi Noguchi a few months ago and quickly became regulars. We’ve brought several guests here and enjoyed four consistently outstanding meals—until our most recent visit, which left us deeply disappointed and sick. On this occasion, we ordered two servings of the sweet shrimp, a dish we typically love. But when the shrimp arrived, they looked noticeably different—a red flag I regret ignoring. The taste was overwhelmingly fishy, unlike anything we’d had before. When I mentioned this to our server, she explained that due to seasonal availability, the restaurant was using frozen shrimp instead of the usual live ones. She acknowledged that the chef should have informed us of the substitution, but no one did. Both the server and the chef were apologetic, and we were offered a 50% discount on the dish, which we appreciated—but that didn’t address the larger issue. Around 2 a.m., I woke up with intense nausea, chills, vomiting, and diarrhea that lasted into the next day. This was clearly food-related, and the sweet shrimp was the only new variable. It’s incredibly disappointing, not just because we’ve been loyal customers, but because the signs were there: unusual appearance, strong odor, and a known substitution. The shrimp should never have been served. Unfortunately, we’re now hesitant to return, and that’s a real shame.

Food was ok. Service was terrible. Took 45 min to get 2 simple rolls. Never coming back!

I can’t say I enjoyed my $160 dinner tonight. My experience was mainly due to the owner? who I think was working tonight. She would go around screaming at people, “DOING OKAY SO FAR???” in such a loud voice. It was very weird. Then there must’ve been a mistake order made by a sushi chef and she yelled the same question multiple times at the poor chef who seemed stunned that she was yelling. Good wise, this place is incredibly expensive for the quality. Salomon sashimi was frozen. Spicy garlic edamame was maybe a total had a cup of edamame with their shells on. I was shocked when it came out on a flat plate instead of a bowl
New owner is rude and they convince you to order the most expensive set menu. We decided to order the mid price $70 per person. We get the bill they claim we ordered the $160 per person. They’re thieves and the sushi were warm and too cheap to turn on the AC. We had to ask them turn on the AC because I hate eating raw fish in the heat. This place is overpriced and not worth it! Go somewhere else!
