Awesome drive-in the food is amazing and the workers are sweet
Larry's Better Burger is a hidden gem… and by ‘hidden,’ I mean it’s tucked right next to a graveyard, so it has a killer ambiance. The burgers are juicy, flavorful, and suspiciously unforgettable. Rumor has it that they get the meat from very local sources, 😉if you catch my drift. But don’t let that spook you—each bite is so good, you won’t care where it came from! Just remember: if you taste a little extra soul in your meal, it’s probably all part of the secret recipe. And when you're done? Just give a nod to the graveyard, because who knows... you might be coming back for seconds one way or another!
Every Monday when we would take my dad to Abilene for his appointments we had to stop and get lunch at Larry's. He wanted the small burger and onion rings but the chef's kiss for him was the shakes. Thick wonderful shakes. Even though he is gone we still stop there when we are in town. I've never been disappointed.
So far, its the best burger and fries I've tried in this town, with amazing value for your money. Be warned, they are cash only and have limited hours, but so worth it

I've been going here since I was 14, I'm now 70. Larry's is family owned and operated. The food is good. Served fast. The people who work there are great. It's fast paced on the inside. Just stop by and see 😁. Also they don't take cards of any kind, cash talks here. It is what it is a drive in burger joint. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Today we got two large burgers,fries and onion rings for $14 and they were all delicious best burgers in Abilene.

Just q great down to earth burger joint. Definitely my go to. Ordering can take some time and pick up can be confusing but staff are great at helping. Love there burgers. Wish they had mushrooms and other toppings but still a hole in the wall ho yoo

Larry's burgers are always such good old fashioned cheeseburgers! I gave the atmosphere a 5 because we sat in the comfort of my car and listened to our favorite music...Just like the old days of drive up burger places! Just a friendly, reasonably priced old drive in!

Best burger place. The person at the cashier is super friendly and she's doing all the math on the fly. No cards just cash. Brilliant - authentic - super good. Closes at 4pm. Would come again any time.

Saw this old hamburger joint and was curious why there was so many people standing or waiting in their cars, but once I got the burger it made complete sense. Great price, and even better food.

We found this hole in the wall on Google and loved everything about it! The food is good, and very well priced! We got 2 burgers, fries, onion rings, and 2 drinks for $17! My personal favorite was seeing the owner working along side folks inside, and the 87 year old gentleman we got to visit with while waiting on our food. This place is nostalgic and brings to mind a simpler time of living!
Good old-fashioned burger joints are difficult to find these days but I was able to find one in Larry's Better Burger Drive-In. The staff was lovely, the food was hot, the order was correct, and my grumbly tummy was filled with tastiness. I particularly enjoyed their fries. Key things to keep in mind: They are a walk-up window burger joint and they only accept cash. I hope you enjoy this eatery as much as I did. ❤️
Best burger in Abilene and the price you can't beat it. Meat had nice flavor, cheese wad melted, veggies were crisp with a great crunch. The only thing I would recommend is adding a second patty for more optimal bun to meat ratio. The onion rings are practically an experience! The batter is crispy with great flavor the onion inside nice and tender. Try the chili cheese dog, yes the chili has beans in it but man oh man is it a great flavor. We received 2 burgers with cheese, a side of fries, a side of onion rings and a chili cheese hot dog. It was only just over 15 bucks! Can't beat that! The hours are slim only open M-F and closing at 4pm but if you can make the stop it is worth jt!
Really bad. French fries were cold, greasy and essentially raw. Burger was the worst I’ve had since moving to the Abilene area. It’s dirt cheap but the food is horrible.
Please update your operating hours I’m from out of town and drove an extra 30min I love Larry’s better burger was really sad to see them closed
It was closed at 5pm. It said they were open until 6. Disappointed as I have been wanting to eat here every time I come into town.
