Great Whataburger! The cashier was just so sweet! Great service, clean restaurant as well!
I ordered on the app, went to pick it up, it started pouring rain. The guy was extremely nice even walking it out to me in a downpour. Updated 5 8 2024: The food just isn't that good anymore. I don't know what happened but that burger was just bad. My granddaughters chicken was mostly breading and it just wasn't good. I used to love this place, not anymore. Plus, it was expensive compared to much better restaurants. I'm just disappointed.
This location gets really really busy and it's on a consistent level, they may mess up from time to time on your order but give them grace because the drive through and inside gets busy. Food is got, always hot and fresh.
Can highly recommend this location as it looks really nice on the inside, staff were friendly enough and the food is good, definitely recommend.
Beto is an awesome manager. This young man is very professional and outstanding. What a way to run a business, definitely will be coming back to this location. The team there is also superb good job guys.There is a positive vibe and comfortable atmosphere at this place! Thank you again Beto!
Takes a while to get your order but yummy
Thanks for sitting on my burger before sending it out I like not being able to identify what I’m about to eat or would have eaten until I realized it wasn’t what I ordered. Also thanks for not including napkins or a straw I’m sure you knew I wouldn’t really want that Diet Coke since I ordered a regular coke but hey at least I got some burned fries for the 15 dollars.

Customer service was great and I heard the manager tell his employees SEVERAL times they were doing a great job. They were even singing in the background while they worked. A very happy, pleasant atmosphere and they were VERY busy. The food came out hot and fresh! Delicious!
As a connecticut native I wasn't sure if it was worth the hype texans give it; but i will say its pretty damn good. If you have a hangover in the lone star and you just need burger slop to numb the aching whataburger is your best friend

I don't do reviews often but felt this deserved one! It was a refreshing change from Sweetwater's Whataburger! Portions were well done, the burger wasn't drowned in ketchup, it was perfectly made! I ordered the frosted berry fresher and it was very well done! At my usual place they always add so much ice! This place did it with just the right amount! Atmosphere was very clean, calm and staff was polite and friendly! 5/5 ⭐ Great Job!

For the first time I had a Cob Salad and it was AMAZING. It had bacon, chicken, tomatoes, boiled egg slices, and combined I was very impressed.
The cashier was incredibly kind her name was Kirra, I believe. I was about a dollar short for a cup of sweet tea, and she generously covered it for me. Such wonderful service, I’ll definitely be coming back.
Let me tell you something about Whataburger. Not only do they have great food they have great people who work there I placed my order and I could immediately tell the guy had a smile on his face. I changed my order from a normal large Coke to a large chocolate shake. Not normally a big deal, I asked for extra chocolate because I am a chocolate fiend. He asked how chocolate I wanted it and I said very! I swear that has to be the best chocolate shake I've ever had! He did exactly that he made it so chocolatey that I thought I was going to have a chocolate coma!! Man I love me some Whataburger!!

The double lane in the drive-thru does not work. It's inefficient and slow.
We had a great experience. Our food came out quickly, correctly and hot. It was nice because we got there at a time I could have breakfast and my husband and daughter could order lunch. As for some of the other patrons, they either got the wrong food or never got their orders at all. I was disappointed with how they handled those situations but as for our order they did fine.

Man I love Whataburger. I'm only leaving this review because some young dude I assume was a District Manager or some sort of traveling Management helped me a TON. So... There is a seasonal burger called the Sweet and Spicey Bacon Burger. This burger is of the heavens. They sadly have not had this burger in years and it made me stop going here for the most part. HOWEVER, I asked this young guy that was ordering food with a management shirt on what he gets. He told me in his town they have a burger called the Sweet and Spicey Bacon Burger and my eyes lit up. I explained how upset I was that it never seems to be available in Abilene and he put me on game. He explained how to customize a burger to effectively make my own version with the sweet and spicey wing sauce on the side and added to the burger. I don't know if he will ever see this review, but I salute you sir. You singlehandedly retained me as a customer! Even though the staff here is... well if you know you know, I will continue to eat here because of that young gentleman. I wish I had gotten his name.
Came here having one of the worst days all month, my day was instantly turned around by my new favorite Whataburger employee, Treasure. She made me and my friends laugh and have a great time. She also checked in on us regularly and seemed to be working hard. #whataburgerbestie! Not to mention the food was pretty good with me getting that classic patty melt with extra sauce to give it that pop. I love love love Whataburger and tonight made me love it even more.
I really like the burger, for it being a regular fast food burger, I think it's pretty awesome and very filling, especially if you go with double patty. The fries were nice and fresh and u can actually eat them alone. I like the service of them actually bringing it to you when you dine in as well as the simple stuff like someone bringing a tray of condiments for you to choose. I love the salsa Verde n the spicy ketchup it's a different feel from most burger joints. I, however, didn't like the chicken strips being passed off as wings lol I'm not a boneless wing guy a wing is a wing and should be a wing not a piece of breast meat being called a wing, the honey butter flavor was also lacking a solid negative for me. But overall, it is a delicious tasting burger with great service.
Their Barbecue chicken burger is so good! I love how the interior is old fashioned. Their service is a little slow but that's not bad.

Stopped in to get late lunch with the family since the remodel to check it out. I wish we didn't and won't be back. Yall had our name and we had our number on the table and yall still gave our food to another table. Then after our food got opened at the wrong table and brought to yalls attention yall just re wrapped it and brought it to us and didn't say a word. A number and a name for nothing.
Well, first thing there was a hair in my wife's salad, and I don't understand why the patties are getting thinner and the price's getting higher, not good for business but one thing that I've seen for a good burger and the size doesn't change is Five Guy's, you'll love if you have one in town.
Ai is taking over with the walls to hide employees? I ordered online, and it took longer . Then, when I received my food, the female employee taped the bag .... Then she proceeded t o tape my drink . I informed her that the order was mine and she taped the lid anyway. Do not tape over the straw hole . Training needs to be added here!!
I was glad to see it had reopened, but the interior was a step back from what it had been. I felt like in the way as I made my way to the register. What really threw me off was the question from the cashier as I had passed her while she was about to pull the bag of trash from the receptacle. "Do you know what you want to order?" Umm, maybe give me a moment to look at the menu. I told her to take her time, but she rushed in front of me between me and the counter. I had to take a step back to avoid being hit with the bag. I immediately left, and I doubt I'll be back.
We went through the drive through and had to wait over 20 minutes to get our food. I asked to please have the food hot, when the young man came to inform us our order got lost. He said sure, no problem. It was bearly "warm" and I was very disappointed. Husband did warm his in the microwave, I put my onion rings and burger in the Air Fryer, to taste better.😃 I Pray you all get more staff that Enjoy Cooking and serving others.🛐
Had the Monterey Melt. (My favorite) beef was a little dry and smashed down. Too much salt on the beef. Staff is friendly, and place seems clean. This was my first time back since it was rebuilt. I'll give it another try in the future.
Fries were cold, soda flat, burger was room temp. Guy at the drive in was nice. Good customer service. There was trash in the parking lot, and I couldn't have my meal brought out. I had to wait in line in the drive through even tho I had ordered online.
Whataburger use to be our favorite place to go. Anymore we stress because our order is always wrong or missing something or we get onion rings that are not the same color (will post a pic) I had a cook argue with me because I found something missing in my order when in the end she had to apologize because it was in fact missing. When you go to these places you are spending 40 to 50 dollars per family never less. We are the ones that pay there check and keep them with a job you would think they would take more time to make sure the customer is happy.

I came here earlier and a women in grey named Tyler or something was very rude and aggressive when taking my order!!! Food was awesome but I just can’t people the nerve of some people. She should be taught manners and I feel bad for any others who had to deal with her that day. Safe to say I’m NOT coming back for the service.
The atmosphere at this specific location is the worst of any burger restaurant. It appears it is because of the layout of the remodel. The kitchen area is secluded with no ambient sound to the dining area. The result is a quiet experience with the only sound being ice cubes falling from into the ice machine. It is funeral home quiet. The only suggestion I have to make it more appealing is to turn on some music.
This is a weird example of a re-model making it worse in my opinion. This used to be a unique location with a nice big front window section but the re-model took that out and make it smaller and boxy - totally ruined the atmosphere. The food is usually pretty good, however on my most recent visit I ordered my burger with grilled onions, but if they were, it was only for a few seconds, they were basically raw. Otherwise a decent burger.

I've been to at least 100 different Whataburger restaurants in my life. The 4 that are in Abilene are by far the slowest I have ever been to. Came here thinking the new renovation might improve things, but no, it still took over half an hour to get my food in the drive-thru. By the way, stay in the inside lane unless you want to wait 3-1 on orders. Edit: took 45 minutrs and they also couldn't figure out how to scan my rewards.
I ordered an online pickup order since I was traveling through Abilene. As I checked in, I noticed that my order was transferred to a different location about 10 minutes away due to the restaurant turning off their online orders at the same time or right after I placed my order. I had to drive to pick up my food, and it wasn't made correctly due to them leaving my cheese off my burger. I was already delayed and had to reroute my trip to pick it up. I would not recommend this Whataburger or the other one I had to drive to.
I was laughing when they got the truck next to me order wrong. I was laughing when I watched the lady get upset when she was told it was wrong. I was laughing when she took the order back from out the truck ( after the occupants of said truck opened some of the food and said wrong ) and went straight to another vehicle and handed that same touched on, breathed on food. I was laughing saying she just messed that all up. I stopped laughing when 10 miles or more down the road I opened my bag and my onion rings were frickin fries . The only thing I really wanted were the onion rings . I'm so mad......
I am normally lenient on reviews where food is good and service is just ok. However, this particular Whataburger had the worst car queue system of any that I’ve been to which resulted in nearly a 30 minute wait. We picked the inside lane of the drive through and noticed that two outside lane cars were going through for every inside car which was pretty frustrating. Next time around, alternate the interior and exterior queues so people in the drive-through
The worst service I've ever received at a Whataburger. The lady taking the order must have been new but she should have had someone helping her. The rest of the staff that you could see were indifferent at best and rude at worst and it took forever to get our food. I used to eat at this location before the remodel and it was fine but now it's terrible
Do it yourself kiosk service and no paper receipts. They wanted to charge me for BBQ sauce but not for ketchup. Dumb!
4 cars in front of me when I ordered, plenty of time to cook fresh food. Unfortunately I drove 1/4 of a mile and the burger was simply warm maybe. The fries were not fresh either. Paid 13$ for a combo meal ticket # 549661. Just thought I'd have a decent meal, I do hold yall to a higher standard because your food is usually great and price is a little higher. My first and sadly last experience at this location.
Already gave a review with Whataburger but thought I should do it on here too. Food was terrible. Order on receipt was right but burger came out wrong and cold. Big thanks to Treasure and the other girl in the like green vest for amazing customer service and a great time.
So I understand miscommunication. I really do. So when we asked for a medium meal and a large fry. I understand why it would be confused with a medium meal WITH large fries. But when we got to the window and saw that there was a meal with large fries. We corrected. So we repeated the order and what we intended only to be met with "why are you complaining, that's what you ordered." Ok... no... we didn't. Thats what we tried to say.
What is the point of ordering ahead if you're still going to wait 20+ minutes for your order. The woman who was doing curbside was wonderful! I just wish I would have had to to actually eat it fresh since I had to start working again. There werent even cars in the drive though.
Ordered online and even though I waited until after the time frame that the app gave to being done, no other customer in sight and having to fill my own drinks I waited another 20 mins. Crazy work to put in double drive thru lanes to regularly have only one person take the orders. You can get thru Chick-fil-A 4 times before your card gets taken here. 2 star because staff was still polite, but jeez I went thru the empty drive thru and still almost ended up late for work.
I used to come to this location a lot and it’s near my home. As of the last 2 times I have came since they have been opened I have been disappointed the onion rings are never fresh and they look old even after I ask for fresh everytime ! Whataburger is expensive to eat kind of and I work hard for my money ! No one was in the drive thru line. It was 2pm. I ordered a kids combo grilled cheese. It took almost 10 minutes to get my order. What in the heck is going on with management at this location? Whataburger getting bought out really crushed the franchise. It wasn't like this 10 years ago.
The Hamburger with French Fries took a very long time, Service was extremely slow, drive thru the service was bad due to the worker is very slow and when food is done waiting in Lane A behind two vehicles instead of being in Lane B , while this so called fast food when it takes 25 minutes+ to get your food and drink. This place is very slow on handling orders takes extremely long time. By the time you get your food from the person it's cold and french fries is cold because it's just sitting on the lamp to keep it warm which it doesn't. Some workers are rude and slow and asked what is your order multiple times and still not get the other right. Many vehicles left the drive thru because they are slow.
Save your time. Worst run store ever. Sad they can’t get help. Save yourself the headache

Lady taking our order was rude, we ordered our for dine in and they brought it out in a bag with the fries turned over not in the carton. Food was cold and terrible! The Danville location is the worse I have ever been to. Need to fire everyone there and get new people that have a little bit of customer service. There is NO pride or customer service at this location, maybe need a new manager that can get their employee to work right and act right. I will never go to that one again.

My husband and I waited almost 40 mins for my food in the drive thru line. I’d understand maybe 10-15 because it’s midnight. We did a drive thru order and by the time I got my food it was cold and stale. The worker rolled her eyes at my husband too when he told her we had a drive thru order when we finally reached the window. My fries are cold and soggy and my burger is still sorta warm. Don’t recommend.
What they NEEDED to do: Retrain their staff, re-organizes their processes, and re-learn basic customer service and time management skills so that the restaurant RAN. So that we didn't wait an hour on cold food. What they DID INSTEAD: Tore the building down and built a new one (that none of their target demographic likes) to have the exact same problems in What it cost them vs what it might have if they just fixed the real problems: Who knows. But I bet it's a big discrepancy.
One of the worst drive-thru experiences ever, the staff have to walk out to your vehicle to take a payment they don't know what order goes to which vehicle. People behind you in the Drive-Thru Lane get their food before you do. The employees also get into arguments with each other at the drive-thru window. All in all it's a very uncomfortable experience.
Late night snack time and it's going to be an hour plus wait for the food. Then when I tried to get out of line they wouldn't let me so I sat trapped in the Whataburgers drive thru line for 30 minutes
This was the worst ever! I waited 30 minutes for a curbside order. When I went inside, I saw a lot of uniforms but no one was working. Those that were working were moving slower than molasses! I stood for 10 minutes before I was acknowledged at all. There were a lot of people waiting. When I finally received my food, my fries looked old and cold, so I asked for fresh ones. The guy just took my bag to the back and let it sit because the fries that I got back were the same ones!! The drink machine didn't work. Our drinks were carbonated water. The guy who was working in the kitchen was very dismissive toward other customers. You all have a remodeled building, but the staff need to be remodeled.
Wow. I'm so shocked on how cold the fries were, the large fries were only half full, and my son's grilled cheese was so cold. Very very bad experience this time. I don't know how that quality even got through the line.
This Whataburger is an embarrassment to Whataburger's everywhere and this place is disgusting! Every employee and Manager should be fired and they need to restart it from scratch. I ordered from this location and the burger didn't fit the bun, barely had mustard on it, 1 tomato, barely any onions on it and the patties was dry. I heard it was supposed to be good and it wasn't. Went to a different one in a different town and it wasn't good, either. Went to this one on Danville again just to get a malt. After waiting in the drive thru for over 10 minutes, they they took the order from the other line when that car pulled up 5 minutes after I did.

45 minutes waiting for a pick up order? I got a regular whataburger, medium fries, medium tea, and a side of ranch. Why would that take over 30 minutes? Server was all smiles when he came out with the other persons order, but the opposite when he came out with mine. Ridiculous. *EDIT* I had manager Freddie give me a call and speak about what happened, he was very understanding and polite, I’ve changed my service rating as he has also told me I can go in to get some complementary items upon my next order.
Very negative experience. Chose to dine in and the lobby was nasty. The floor was sticky and there was trash everywhere. Ordered our food at 9:49 and it took 30 minutes to come out. Thumbs down.
I ordered a kids meal with chicken tenders. When I got home, I opened my bag and saw things that looked like popcorn chicken? They were so small, and not to mention very dry. I waited an hour for chicken bites, by the time I got my food, the ice in my drink was all melted down. A car behind us got a big bag of food and we still hadn’t received our food. Overall, I will not be returning to this location until there is new team leads or managers.
worst service out of any whataburger I've been to ever. the last 2 times I been to this particular store they lost my order once and the last time I went myself and 3 other people were waiting to order but nobody wanted to work the counter there was a gentleman in front of us who was waiting for one cup of sweet tea. a lady behind me went around the counter to tell them they had people waiting that didn't seem to phase them they were only waiting on the drive through not lobby customers. people behind me said to hell with it because we all waited patiently for longer than we should have for a Sunday morning at 6:00 they left andi waited another minute and I turned and left. went to Rosa's Cafe down the road and had no problem with recieving service. this location needs better management and not a bunch of kids running the place
Ordered dine in at 10pm, not expecting any sort of fast delivery because whataburger never has your food made fast. Sat down and waited about 25 minutes and walked up to the counter to ask where our food was. I was informed by Alan that he’d check on it and he disappeared. He then came back and said they made the order but didn’t know what happened to it and said his boss was making it. That seemed assuring so we waited a little longer another 25 minutes goes by. Walked back up to the counter and Dakota says they’re making it now, 15 minutes later it comes out and the food seemed like they rushed to make the order with half the fries uncooked. Will not be coming back to this whataburger. Probably waited longer than most ppl but we were just hungry at that point. Alan, get back there and make the food rather than talking to meta
They almost never get my specific made to order right, so I ordered something off the menu without alterations. I ordered the fish sandwich and I was still so disappointed. It was fried so hard it was next to burnt, or fried in bad oil. It was just awful. I ended up taking all of the breading off just to make it slightly edible so I didn't feel like I wasted my money. 🤢
First impression scary. The place is disgusting. The floor had grime, dark spillage that I can only assume was soda? The floor had dried dark spots everywhere. Just gross. Not at first impression a place you would want to eat at. The restroom equally as disgusting. I went in right after an employee came out so I know they were aware of the condition. I decided not to eat here and to get a soda. The person for the register came quickly to take my order while the other two stood talking. I got my soda that was mainly carbonated water with no flavoring. All in all a big disappointment. I am old enough to remember when you could always count on what a burger being a clean establishment with clean restaurants, good food and drinks. Sad to see it go down hill.
We walked in close to 7pm on a Tuesday evening, there were 3 people inside eating, and 2 waiting to order. This is by far the dirtiest one I have ever been in!! There was fruit punch in puddles on the floor, and the rest of the dining area looked like it hadn't been mopped in weeks. It's actually pretty gross to think they're making my food in that place. To top that off, I asked for mayo in place of mustard but got mustard.... they should really study chic fil a and take lessons in cleanliness from them. The other 3 whataburgers in the area do not have this problem, perhaps this is a management issue.
This location should not have two drive thru lanes. They can't handle the traffic plus they don't tend to each line evenly. Had 4 cars in the outside line helped before I just gave up and left.
Ever since the remodel they quality of food and the quality of customer service has gone down the toilet. The place smells if the toilet. I placed a 45$ online order to be picked up at a certain time. They then tell me they were out of Dr Pepper. Waited another 20min after I arrived just get my order. Then I get to the business I'm taking the food to all the gravy was missing in the 3 chicken strip baskets. No damn ketchup eventhough I requested it. Had to go back to get it and they don't even offer any compensation for screwing up my order. All I got was " Im sorry". This place is an absolute joke.
Normally I don’t leave reviews, but in this instance I believe it is warranted. I literally sat outside in the drive thru line outer lane for close to 15 minutes (after a truck in front of me went after their order was taken), and had no one from the Whataburger team speak to me. 6 cars came and went on the inside lane before I finally called the location, spoke to the manager, and got someone to finally take my order. I’m appreciative of that but I shouldn’t have to be the one to engage. If it wasn’t for this time and every time (at all times of the day) that this location has slow service, I’d not care, but it’s always slow. A building remodel a year or so ago has done nothing to improve wait times whatsoever. Very disappointed with the overall service here, even though the people and food are usually good.
