It’s like a diner style restaurant just 2 row of seats. And parking is a little crazy but the food was amazing. The service is quick and fast. From ordering and actually getting the food was so fast.

This place is the Mexican Benihana—but way better and way cheaper. You sit down, face the grill, and boom: tacos and gorditas cooked right in front of you while you sip on fresh aguas like royalty. If they don’t have your drink, just stroll to the grocery side, grab one, and come right back. Been around forever, and for good reason. It’s fast, it’s fire, and it’s a Houston legend .!

let’s first start with the staff very sweet and welcoming. the restrooms were also very clean. the food was amazing. i will be making the drive again. i order the torta de fajita and a gordita de pastor and a agua fresca de limón. it’s amazing that they already bring you limes without you have to ask for them. now the salsas i wish i could drink them i love that they had a kick to them

If you're looking for a delicious traditional Mexican torta, THIS is a great place to find it. The torta that I had was flavorful and made perfectly. The bread is soft, there's plenty of meat and veggies, and the salsa... wow! They have a few meat options, and they also have great tacos. There's tight seating against the wall, very busy, but well worth it. Highly recommend!!

Taqueria Aguacalientes offers authentic, tasty Mexican food for a great deal We queued in a line to sit down along the countertop. The menu is along the back wall with different proteins and types (tortas, gordita, tacos, quesadilla, etc.). A nice lady took our orders and gave a number with our food arrived promptly. The carne asada torta was only $6.50 for a giant sandwich with plenty of protein, avocado, a toasted sandwich, and tomatoes and lettuce - so a great deal! The countertop sit down is packed and slightly cramped. If you’re a bigger person , you might get in the way of folks walking through the aisle but you get a great view of the giant plancha grill they cook everything on.

If you're looking for a place to eat and craving some delicious Mexican street food. The best gorditas in Houston and the tacos are off the chain. They're always busy, so plan on getting in and out quickly. The only downside is the seating. The best thing to do is take out. 🥡 The service makes you want to stay because of so many smiling faces.

Have not been in years and they completely changed the inside. It looks very nice, they have plenty tables to sit at and the hostess was very fast in taking our orders. The menu has a good amount of things to pick from. The food is delicious, has a lot of flavor and the white rice is AMAZING! Definitely recommend this.

This hidden gem in a Carniceria was a pleasant surprise. As you walk in to the seating area, it felt more like a diner, will ALL the seats taken. Not a big deal - people came and went fairly quickly. I was craving a Torta and some tacos. They were fresh off the grill and tasted great! I wasn't a fan of them charging for jalapenos, but certainly not an issue. Sitting so close to people fostered a good environment for conversation. Overall, I would definately go back to try other items off their menu!

The food is awesome. The men and I had great lunch today. We had a bit of everything. I wish it was a bigger place to sat down. That was the only drawback.

Went in and picked up some chicken and beef fajitas for a cookout and the marinade on both of them were delicious. While I was there I picked up a chicken Torta and it was the bomb. Paid about 7 dollars dollars for the torta, and the fajitas were running around 11 dollars a pound. Don't expect a lot of room to eat if you dine in. Orders came out very quick! Parking is very tight!

Taqueria Aguascalientes feels overrated; the gordita was good, but the tacos disappointed me badly.

Ok the gorditas use to be so soft full off cheese and beef was not so chopped up. They're hard,barely any cheese,beans and meat is just horrible. The only good thing was the agua. Paid about $8+ for 1 gorditas and a small agua. Which btw took forever to get. Sad it's gone done.
