The cheeseburgers here are amazing! The milkshake was fantastic and they used real strawberrys. The fries are decent too. The prices are very affordable. Prompt and friendly service by the staff. Very good atmosphere, welcoming for all ages.
Though they were super busy the staff was smiling and helpful. The food came out hot and very timely. Very good great place to stop on During our trip.
Had a 1/4 lb burger combo on our way through. Our food was hot and tasty.
Just went through the drive thru and a young man named Brandon had great customer service. He should be commended.
The young man who served our ice cream was very patient with us as we figured out what we wanted to try (7 of us getting a cone each in a cup). The food was actually really good. I enjoyed my burger and I hate burgers. And this was the most affordable meal we have had out. I definitely recommend this place to families trying to get a quick affordable meal. The bag of burgers was perfect.
Service was fast food was magnificent and very scrumptious. Hot and savory, don't get me started in the velvety texture of the ice cream! Worth every penny.
How I wish we had a Braum's in the Kansas City area! So whenever I can I will stop here at the Brahms at Emporia. The employees are just absolutely wonderful and talk to you like you're an old friend. The service is excellent here. Also they have the small grocery store with fresh produce that I always take back with me on my way to Kansas City. Because this is the closest Braum's location to where I live in Olathe, this will always be my favorite one.
Conner provided outstanding customer service! He was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. It’s rare to come across someone so helpful and dedicated. Thank you, Conner! I think Sierra could take some pointers on how to treat guests from Conner.
Always tasty. They were getting slammed though and needed a dedicated lobby cleaner
Great value choice for breakfast that will not break the bank
There's no better Johnny's than the OG north of the river in Lawrence. One of my favorite places to enjoy a drink and a meal. Such a casual, inviting atmosphere with absolutely on-point entrees.
Food was very good. Fast friendly service. Mens restroom was clean but paper towels were not stocked. Clean facility. I upgraded my large soda to a large milkshake at no extra cost! What a steal. Wish we had one in Kansas City.
Great food service and ice-cream selection my family loves it
We stop at this Braum's every time we take kids to camp in Wichita, several times per year. Stopping at Braums is always looked forward to by the kids as well as adults. Brought 27 people in and the folks at the counter were so kind and patient as each individual kiddo ordered and paid with their envelope of money. Thank you for being a blessing to our church and our children!
Good sundaes and shakes. The burger tha I had was excellent.
We needed a pick me up while traveling, and this was the perfect stop. Employees were friendly, service quick and ice cream was excellent.
The food and ice cream always delicious. This is a regular stop when driving through the area. Braum’s, I-70 runs right through Blue Springs, MO and we need one here! 😉
It was so good. I had a jalapeño cheese burger and fries!!!
Great ice cream & burgers. Fries are mid. The chocolate sundae with marshmallow was amazing.
Great food, fast service, helpful staff. Usually my wife and I bond over some ice cream or a cherry limeade, but this time Braum's started a fight when my wife drank our cherry limeade all herself cause it was so good!
My favorite place for ice cream and burgers! I've been here several times as I travel down I-35 and each time is amazing. They are known for the ice cream, but I havent had a bad meal there, ever. Very reasonable on prices, and always quick service. $7 will get you a full combo meal and milkshake. Don't forget to upgrade your meal to a milkshake, for FREE! Can't wait to travel through there again...
We love Braum's! Good food, good prices!! And we love love the ice cream! Keep up the great work!!
I have a peanut allergy but I love their chocolate shakes, so I ask them to make sure the machine is clean before making my order. They are always awesome and I never have an issue. One time they were extra reassuring (I think it was the manager) and thanked me for trusting them.
I was out of town heading home and stopped for dinner. I saw their market and realized I could pick up a few items I needed for the week. All of their produce looked fresh end appetizing and there was plenty of selection of bread which was one of the main things I needed. For dinner I got two chicken strips and french fries in the restaurant and appreciated that they served the fries fresh. The strips were fine- nothing extraordinary but not bad at all.
Braum's is a new discovery for this family. The big ice cream cone sign drew us in. I really enjoyed the somewhat vintage interior and the unique layout with the grocery store. The burgers, fries, and ice cream were all good. I had one of the new specialty flavors which was great. I wish we had this in our area. I read further about their vertical integration online because I'm a big nerd, and about their community activism. Overall just really impressed and glad that we tried the place that was not the same chain restaurant that's in every town.
One of my all time favorite fast food places. I think Braum's rivals In-N-Out! Fresh, delicious, & more choices! Plus they have the ice cream & market! Breakfast is good, but lunch / dinner menu is where it's at! Don't have Braum's where I live, so when I travel I make the trip revolve around hitting up Braum's!
Plenty of free parking. No military discount. Food was really tasty. Fresh and hot. Would be 5 stars, but Abony - the manager was a tad rude to the employees and this customer. Could be her time but, it was upsetting. Except for her attitude everything else was petfect.
Good ice cream, and good prices. I had the sopapilla cheesecake and chongos zamoranos flavors in a cup and it was very good. The person who took our order and handed the ice cream was efficient and cool. Slight problem with the staff and cleanliness, though. I watched the dude in charge of making milkshakes go over to the trash, push the trash in the very full trash can down with his bare hands, and go right back to making milkshakes without washing his hands. He later used a towel to wipe the counter and then wiped his hands with the same towel before going back to the milkshake machine. The area where the mix-ins for the mixes (kind of like a DQ blizzard for those following) looked like raccoons had gotten into it--just m&ms, peanuts, and sprinkles smeared across the counter with blobs of congealing ice cream and caramel sauce. Would be super cool if someone could train the staff on food service/health regulations and stuff.
Nice place for a pit stop. Food was good, and there is an opportunity to stock up on groceries. I would have loved to see hairnets to protect the food from contamination. Also, the lines were long and slow going.
Always a delight to visit Braum's. Have to travel a bit to get there, but hit the store both ways to Wichita and back. Only fault was when asked about toppings, they forgot to put them on. Otherwise Braum's is the best. Want one that's been promised in Lawrence but still waiting.
The food was excellent. The service was a little lacking when we first got there but one employee made up for it when my son ordered a double dip and then dropped it. The young man was quick to tell him that he would replace it and clean it up. My husband and I cleaned up the best we could but the young man kept his word and made my son another sundae, which we very much appreciated!
Stopped in to get breakfast sandwich. Started out in drive-through was to hard to see the board. So went inside. ▪︎The gentleman at the counter was very nice & helpful. We ordered egg, cheese, sausage on bagel. It was very yummy.
Good place to eat good burgers with ice cream.
It was good. This is about the 4th or 5th time here. Usually, it is an awesome experience. This time the majority of the staff was great except the lady doing the drive-thru. Granted the place was swamped due to the high school football championship being played at the university. So they were out of at least carbonation, milk to make milkshakes, and ketchup. I know things were not going as planned but that is when you stop being a supervisor(?) and become a leader. The food was great and the ice cream that was substituted was great. A little longer wait time, but again a lot more people than usual. We will try it again the next time we are traveling through the area.
Great place to stop and get a burger and ice cream. We always stop here on our way to wichita from KC. The prices are great and the food is good.
Sooooo yummy!!! My husband and I got a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and brownie sundae. Everything was absolutely fantastic!! The bun was so soft, and there was so much bacon! The brownie in the sundae was so delicious as well as the actual ice cream and fudge. I wish we had an ice cream spot like this closer to our home. I did take a star off for kind of rude customer service. Everyone was just so unfriendly and not very happy.
Food was good, vanilla shake was good. The chocolate ones tasted premade. The fries were fantastic!
Typical Brauns experience. Good fast food. Cooked fresh. Drive thru service at this Braum's exceeded my expectations when compared to other Braum's.
I enjoyed going to the ice cream part of this restaurant store. It's holiday time, so they were out of the major flavors. That was disappointing, but I was still able to get a flavor I enjoyed. The service was great. The line moved smoothly. I will visit this spot again.
I travel to Wichita from Kansas City twice a month and will often stop at this Braumd to get dinner on the way home. The environment is always very good and even today the employees were laughing and clearly having a good time at work which is great to see. But I was disappointed with part of my order. Unless I'm just very confused what a "double" would mean here I assumed two patties. But only got one. Again generally great experience here and across the Braums franchise generally. Just a bit disappointed this go around.
I love Braums and I only get to have it when I’m in Emporia for work. They were super busy and I was one of the last during the rush. Employees were super nice and they were working really hard! Ice Cream was amazing but the food tasted okay. My cheeseburger that I had had maybe 15 little pieces ( and I mean little man) of lettuce and ALL of my pickles were on one spot on the burger. Not only that, the burger was like hard and it was in the bag for literally 5 minutes.
I drove a long way for my Braum's fix and was disappointed. The wait for service was probably longer than it should have been and for a mere portion of their famous fries, which were not as good as I remember them to be.
I've noticed going through drive thru isn't always the best idea. Most always the fries have a few hot fresh fries on top of older warm fries not always hot fresh fries. Not just here that seems to do this just my main place I go these days is Braums. Not just once this has happened or I wouldn't be giving this kind of review.
Great employees, however, the place smelled like burnt grease. Very strong oder. This is the second time I've been here that smelled like that. I think I may have been the fry oil as the fries tasted and smelled that way. Other than that nice place.
Braums is always good food. This location is severely mismanaged. I've been here several times and there is no sense of urgency or organization of the crew. Today's example is a line out the door and 1 register open, followed by the person taking orders taking trays to tables.
Not impressed. Ice cream was not great - could find better in the grocery store. We both had sundaes and they were meh. I thought the vanilla was basic while the chocolate chips in that ice cream were microscopic. The hot fudge was sparing and they forgot the nuts. The lines were long and service was slow. This was 6:30 Saturday so not unexpected but there was one person taking orders and she was new. Lots of activity but several workers disappeared during the rush. The counter workspace was filthy. Could not see the all the labels on the ice cream displays so hard to tell what flavors they were. Just does not seem sanitary but we did not get ill thankfully. Regrettably there's not a lot of full serve ice cream shops around so this was disappointing. Not sure if we'd return.
Interacted with 4 employees on a drive thru order. 3 out of 4 employees were extremely nice and great. One employee was randomly and extremely rude for no reason. Again everyone else was great, but one person.
The young man who waited on us and took our order was very pleasant. Apparently, he forgot to hit to go on our order. When the middle aged dark haired lady brought our food on a tray.My son said oh i'm sorry, it was to go. She rolled her eyes, grabbed our tray walked around the corner and dumped it into a bag. Brought it back and we looked inside our fries, and sandwiches were tossed all over. It looked like we were missing 2 fries. So I said something to her. She stood there with her elbow on the counter and her chin on her fist , staring at us And rudely said they're in there. I said to her, "If you hadn't tossed our stuff in this bag, we might be able to tell that, but you are rude and tossed it in there because you're mad. She said nothing. We left and will not be going back. She expressed her anger at the wrong people. Which were the customers and she should have addressed her issue with the coworker. Completely rude service. 👎
My least favorite of all the Braums (I love the franchise). It is always packed, and the dining room is always filthy, yet I find myself returning time after time, simply because this is the closest location to Kansas City. Please clean the dining room on occasion!
Food is fine. Every time I come here they’re painfully slow (regardless of busyness). Their service and process need to be updated.
Worst wait ive ever seen at a braums with a not particularly long line. Took well over 15 minutes with maybe 4 families in front of me, and just to get my order taken before even getting my food.
I’m traveling through town on a Friday afternoon and stopped. The men’s bathroom was pretty dirty. I ordered some fries to go and a drink. Drink was good but the fries were a little on the cool side. I will say that I stop here every time I come through and this has been only time that I can complain. Maybe just chalk it up to timing or a bad shift manager.
Ice cream was premium, creamy, delicious. Ordered a burger combo. They have authentic limeades, always delicious. I thought they served fresh patties for the burgers. Nonetheless, they were still tasty pre-made patties, fries could have been cooked a little bit longer to get a crispy texture. But were still edible. Dining room needed attention, self-service for your drinks, spills that needed wiped up. Got on my shirt. Both ketchup dispensers needed refilling or replaced. Each time it was pushed down to pump out ketchup, very little to none came out, brought it to a workers attention, and my suggestion was ignored.
Passing through to get to Wichita and decided to get lunch. We like Braums and have visited many. We came at one, not sure if it was after their lunch rush but the seating area was a bit messy and the staff seemed tired. Not the friendly greeting we usually get. The food was alright. Not to impressed with this location. One of the staff was cleaning up the dining area finally but only the floor didn’t seem to care about tables.
I has to re edit for this visit. I asked for a sandwich made fresh, they said they're would be 8 min wait, I said no problem. My sandwich came out in 2 min, so I already knew. I took a bite and it was cold and nasty. I had to drive around get out, come in and get a new sandwich. Listen to what people ask for! Customer service is a real thing!!
Ate dinner there last night. They were very busy and there always short staffed. The bacon cheese burger I ordered with the bacon extra crispy never made it to my burger or I would have given them 4 stars. It's usually a very good place to eat. Their prices are reasonable and all their products are of good quality.
Stop by on the way back to Kansas City. They were super busy. The kitchen area was a mess... We've popped in there before, I just think they were understaffed that night... Forgot part of our order but by the time we realized it we weren't going back.
5 years ago we gave this place 5 stars. Today they have clearly changed. My fries were cold and I was charged $0.75 for a pup-cup. I have gone to countless places getting a pup cup for my dog and have NEVER been charged for it. I probably wouldn’t have been so upset about it if we were given a fair amount but we received the smallest pup-cup I’ve ever received. This would be a one star review, but that chicken sandwich was good!
The drive up is something less to talk about just getting to place an order took several minutes then paying of course took no time, getting food and drinks again slow.. On the other hand food was good. Maybe I'd give them 4 stars if they could work on the other parts get the kinks out!
I normally try not to leave bad reviews, but our experience here was just horrible. We had to wait around 25 minutes for three meals because they kept giving us other people's food . By the time we got enough food, we said screw it and ate what we had, which was cold. I'm not sure if they are always like this, but that was our experience, and all the customers that were there at that time experienced the same.
Worst braums I've ever been to. Packed at 3pm staff unorganized and frantic. Table cleaner was literally shooting trash can hoops with the table trash and no tables had been wiped down. Had to repeat my order several times so bc the employee kept immediately forgetting. Never ever been had a bad experience at a braums b4.
Trash was overflowing tables weren't clean, knats everywhere. It has been like that the last couple of times we've gone in. We are from out of town and wanted to try one more time. We will not be back to this location.
The ice cream was good however the place needs seriously cleaned. Behind the counter where they scoop ice cream was covered in candy and melted ice cream. Only some of the kids had on gloves. They messed up our order twice. One of our Sundaes was completely wrong. They definitely need some more training behind the counter.
Let me start out by stating that the food was GOOD. It was the employees that had me asking for a refund. Upon entry there's a small market. I went looking for pineapple juice (which they did not carry) I proceeded to look at what other products they sold. The cashier then comes and asks if I needed help. I politely told her no and explained I was looking for pineapple juice and they did not carry it. She walks over to the juice section to double check as if I may have overlooked it and that was fine but then she seemed to kind of hover around me in a "hurry up and buy" type vibe until she finally got a customer. Went to the restaurant side to place my order and the cashier did not ask if it was to go or dine in so I requested to go. He gets this weird look on his face and turns to another employee and starts to whisper and looks at me out the corner of his eye... WTH is that about?? While I waited, I watched the young lady on fries fill trays for other orders with FULL containers. Why when I retrieved my bag it was half empty? That was when I was through with the establishment and asked for a refund. I refuse to patron where I don't feel welcome. I often take tour groups to these locations. I will now suggest other establishments.
The cleanliness of this store was disgusting. All the trash cans in the lobby and the ones I could see behind the counter were overflowing. There was no flavors of ice cream posted up where you could read them, they are only on the actual lid of the ice cream, so you had to wait until the people in front of you to move so you could see them. Some of them had missing name labels or there was spilled ice cream obscuring the name and if you were too short you could not read them at all. All the surfaces behind the counter looked they needed a good cleaning. The girl that made our ice cream never said “May I help you” she just looked at us, there was no “Thank you” either. When we paid we couldn’t even put our cones down on the cone holder to get our money out, it was too filthy. The restroom was dirty also.
My spicy chicken sandwich was cold. The cheese wasn't even kind of melted and there was literally a 5 of the tiniest pieces of lettuce and no tomato. Whatever the was in place of the bacon was the saddest excuse for bacon ever. The beverage stand was trashed along with the bathrooms. The employees looked like they wanted to throw themselves off a bridge. There were literally green fries in my container.
We walked in with a few in the drive through and 2 in line indoors . Waited 20 min and watched near 5 to 8 ice cream cones and meals go out to the drive through and one meal indoor . We ended up walking out due to no service . I was hoping to get a good malt .
I will preface this by saying that I am a HUGE Braum's gal. I grew up in Oklahoma and have always loved them with my whole heart. That being said, this location is the absolute WORST Braum's I have ever experienced. I have lived here for 5.5 years, and have eaten here more often that I should have for the experiences I had, but I wanted them to try a corner so badly. My last experience will be my LAST trip. I took my daughter for dinner, through the drive-thru, and the kid taking my order was so rude, I wasn't sure what to even say. He cut me off EVERY. SINGLE. WORD. I said. It finally got so bad that I told him to just cancel my order and I went on. I called for the manager (which is not something I have ever done, but this was a necessary moment) and even the manager was rude. (And mind you, I am polite, regardless the situation. So there was absolutely no need to be as hateful). While I am a strong believer in second chances (and third, Fourth, etc) this will be my last time with this Braum's. The food orders are ALWAYS wrong in one way or another. (Literally every single time) And is just not good overall. I am extremely disappointed that this is the Braum's that travelers experience, and frankly a little embarrassed that it is the first Braum's for many on i35.
I have never really had a problem with any Braum's I have been to, but this Braum's was the most unorganized and chaotic. There were 6 employees behind the counter and everyone was running around hollering at one another but nothing was actually getting done. We were standing there to order the food for about 4 minutes and one employee yelled that someone get the front register. They took our order and got it fairly quickly minus waiting for the drinks. Chicken strips were okay. Went to get a shake for the road and stood there for 10 min, The employee asked me if I had been helped and I said no. She said I will help you in just a second. I thought she was just gonna go put the broom up and help. Nope, waited there another 7 minutes or so and then just left with no shake.
Absolutely disgusting. Not one employee was wearing gloves. The young man making shakes had ice cream all over his hand and kept wiping the cup and his apron. The cases were difficult to read as the windows were not clean. The hard serve ice cream was soft, too soft to enjoy in a cone. We will not be back nor will we recommend.
People at the drive thru were VERY rude, food was just ok. Very disappointing! Would not recommend anyone to stop at this location!
We've been stopping here for years as a midpoint between KC and Wichita...but we will not be coming back. Spent nearly 30 minutes in line inside the restaurant and ended up walking out. There was a long line of customers at the register and multiple employees wandering around doing nothing. The employee at the register would take one order and then disappear. When someone finally asked what was going on we were informed that the employees were told to stop taking orders. An additional employee arrived and instead of helping behind the counter she just stood there talking. We left at that point.
This was my first, and likely LAST Braums experience, after hearing such good things. Ordered a crispy chicken sandwich at the recommendation of the nice man working the register. Got half way through and the texture seemed off, so I look at what I was eating and it was entirely uncooked. Red, soft and cold. The assistant manager started questioning me what I wanted her to do. I said I had lost my appetite and would just take my money back. I mentioned she should probably make sure the cooks are making sure chicken is cooked thoroughly and she replied “yeah, maybe, I don’t know” 🤨. I finally got my money back for that sandwich after she questioned me what I really ordered and told me she couldn’t help me until I remembered exactly what till I had paid on. Even though she had my receipt in her hand. Awful experience with even worse customer service from the assistant manager.
45 min wait for a milkshake! Don't waste your time. Last time I come to this location.
This is the absolute SLOWEST Braums ever!!!!!! Maybe it's under staffed? I don't know but it ALWAYS takes FOREVER to place an order! I waited 15 plus minutes in the drive thru for 2 chocolate shakes! Only two car ahead of me! Happens EVERY time I go there! I'm about to be done with them! Fix this please! I like the food and ice-cream but wait is ridiculous. And over shadows the taste!
Was in line waiting to order with a colleague. Lady behind the counter took his order of a chocolate shake, then proceeded to ask me to wait while she made his shake. Needless to say. 10 or so minutes later, I'm done waiting. Not one other person asked of I needed assistance. Sorry! I'm out. Terrible service as usual. Do better.
Store was not that busy, but straws and lids and other things needed to be restocked. Counters were full of drips and spills. My BF told the Asst Manager that the men's room was out of towels. She made a face and rolled her eyes, then gave a huff. Real great customer service.
Save yourself a lot of trouble and DO NOT stop here. We waited almost thirty minutes and finally asked for our money back. We saw ONE burger go out in that time. The place was packed with people waiting for food and most employees doing a lot of nothing. Zero urgency or care from anyone. This is not the first time we've stopped here and had this problem. It will be the last time though. Truly awful customer experience.
This place is disgusting. It is so dirty and not worth a penney. They were out of everything (chicken strips, choc yogurt, 1/3 patties). The manager kept yelling at heady at the counter. He was disrespectful and unprofessional. I felt so bad for her. The trash cans were overflowing and it was just a terrible experience!
