Great date spot! Live music, delicious food. Great experience from the moment u walk in. There was a line to order and a friendly staff came to orient us on how thing work. U claim a table and can order drinks from the outside bar (caterpillar) to enjoy while waiting in line. The line moves quick. They had a dinner for two option that was the bomb. We subbed one of the pastas for the carbonara, it was perfect. enjoyed the life music. Thx!

Fair price for a delicious meal. We got a dinner for two and a tiramisu for desert. And it was more than enough to satisfy our hunger. The place is nice, there are options to seat inside or outside. The only cons was the waiting time (about 50 minutes).

If you love garlic this is the place!!! ADA wheelchair accessible...outdoor...furry friends welcome...come for a show at the vortex or alone for the rainbow salad...delicious...might have a bit of a wait...get beet salad or meatballs..yum

<< SIMPLY AWESOME >> i applause their simple menu, specially as they manage to deliver great real italian pasta with high quality ingredients in the middle of such a fun place like the Vortex. We tried as many pastas as we could! And will definitely be back for more. I most say the long line put us off the first time we went there, and decided to go back the next day right at 5pm to beat the crowd. It was worth it. Pls dont miss the Marfa tomatos.

Their pasta was incredible. Their outdoor seating area, the bar, atmosphere was perfect for a night out. Very cozy and they had very friendly staff

A friend of mine introduced me to this place a few years ago. It's very easy to miss, considering that Patrizi's is a food truck located in the middle of the Vortex. While being located in a busy spot on Manor, it's amazing how Patrizi's feels like a hidden niche and a great way to spend a quiet afternoon. While you're waiting in line, the servers will give you recommendations from the menu based off what you personally like to eat. On Fridays where it's busy, expect a wait. They do offer small samples while you wait, and once you've finished ordering, the wait is indeed worth it. My personal favorite is the Carbonara Alexandra, though the photos below are their sample of the day: a Cilantro and Pecan Pesto with a house salad. I dont usually eat Pesto, but found the dish both delicious and a treat for my tastebuds. Overall, I always enjoy my experience here at Patrizi's. I don't know that many pasta restaurants here in Austin, but that's probably because I always find myself coming back here for the food, the service, and peaceful atmosphere

I took an Earth Rides to this great hand made Italian pasta joint. Be ready for a long wait but it is well worth it for hand made pasta. Came at 5 pm on a Sunday, stood in line for about 25 minutes and then it took another 20-30 so go on a nice day and enjoy the outside seating. The Pasta was really tender on each dish and the roasted beets were really good. Will def. come back.

I’ve been going to Patrizi’s for YEARS. Still my favorite place to get pasta in Austin and there’s always a different type of pasta for whatever mood you’re in. My two favorites are the carbonara and the diavolo (add honey to this one!!!). Garlic bread is also heavenly if you’re really into garlic. Literally you cannot go wrong with this place— best vibes, best food, best people.

S

I can’t get enough of this place. I’ve had the Diovolo (made dairy-free), garlic bread (made dairy free), and the vegan Rainbow Salad. Everything is fantastic. I imagine if they opened a brick and mortar in this area, they would do a great business. Just be warned that if you are planning to eat there, go early to avoid a 30-60 minute wait for food. Or order for pick-up.

A
Anika Asher

I come here so often because they have phenomenal food that's not too expensive. I've tried almost the whole menu, and I think my favorites are the pesto, the pomodoro, and the garlic bread. Their specials are always fantastic too! Try to get there before 5:30 pm because there is usually a line to order food.

Loved it! Came here with a friend and my tiny chihuahua. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. The food and wine was all delicious as well. The atmosphere was was fantastic. Will definitely come back! My only regret is not getting more pictures!

Every time I’ve come here for pasta it’s always incredible. The staff is so nice, attentive and updates y’all when your food will come out. For winter time, their outdoors area is cozy and the lights are adorable. Highly recommended!!!

Great atmosphere, live music, plenty of tables and chairs. Food was excellent, and came out timely. I got the half portion Diavolo with seasonal carrots. I appreciated that they had a water tank and sunscreen/bug spray - so thoughtful!

Patrizi’s permanent food truck location is a great spot with plenty of outdoor seating. The homemade pastas are incredible, straight out of Italy!! You need to go here! Stop reading and get in your car! My go-to pasta is the Carbonara Alexandra - house cured and smoked pancetta (bacon), coddled egg yolks (eggs), grana padano (cheese). Yum. Even writing this makes me want more. I tried the Great Leopold this time with the Marfa tomatoes and I’d still say the Carbonara is my favorite. The Marfa tomatoes (their take on a Caprese salad) was delicious and so fresh. I tried the Bread and Beef Fat - toasted day old ciabatta, beef fond, and grana as an appetizer this time and it was unique, with the soaked bread. Tons of flavor. Are you still reading? Go to Patrizi’s!!!

I recently ate at Patrizi’s and it absolutely delivered — their Carbonara Alexandra (house-pulled pasta with smoked pancetta and poached onion) had a lovely texture, and their Red Sauce Pasta with a hefty meatball was comforting and rich. The Garlic Bread — laden with roasted garlic and cheese — is a must-order starter. The ambiance is casual and inviting, tucked beside Butterfly Bar on Manor Road, and there’s a cool, small-town Italian charm to it. During peak times there’s a line, but the staff are friendly and patient.

This was our third year in a row coming to Patrizi's for Valentine’s Day. Every time we have eaten here the pasta has been incredible! They make traditional Italian house-made pasta. Very delicious pasta, with huge portions, and every bite is filled with tons of flavor. This is what we ordered - Red Sauce and added a meatball - Garlic bread - Lasagna (this was a special they were serving that night and one of the best lasagnas we have ever had. Hope they can add this permanently to the menu) Instagram: eatwithjarco

10/5, must-go. Service is excellent, pasta is perfectly cooked, tatarea are amazing, even for a restaurant, but especially a food truck! We had: Pecan Tarragon Fettuccine Karah’s Diavolo Meatballs with Patrizi’s Red Sauce And first Bruschetta, then last Tiramisu, both which we ate before getting a picture.

One of the best experience we had as a family in a restaurant! First of all, the food & hospitality here is immaculate. The best carbonara I tried in Austin, no cap. The margherita pizza is my husband’s new favorite in Austin (he is native here so that means he’s tried many and this is it!) Chef, you and your staff are the best at making your customers feel like they belong there. That they are meant to eat there. Thank you so much for welcoming us especially with the toddler. Y’alls bar selection is great! Definitely coming back here in the future.

BEST PASTA EVER!! We didn't know what to expect before coming here. We came on a Friday night, and it was pretty busy. It has such a great atmosphere - something typical for Austin. We waited about 20 minutes in line, and then about 30 minutes for our food to be brought out to us, but it was well worth it! Try to pick a table before hopping into the ordering line. Pictured is their garlic bread and the Cacio E Pepe dish. I seriously couldn't stop thinking about how good the pasta was for the next few days! It is fresh and homemade. Highly recommend!!!

N

Delicious and authentic pasta in a super cute setting! I'm mostly over the food truck scene after years of oversaturation in the market, but this is one of the few I'll still go to. Every pasta we tried was dreamy and delicious, and the pasta itself was perfectly al dente. You can't go wrong here! It's worth the wait even when there's a huge line - just bring a friend and hang out with some drinks from the Butterfly Bar and the time passes like that!

Came from Houston and this sums up Austin. The staff was extremely friendly. The location is spacious and has an interesting atmosphere. We started with a Garlic Bread which was very fresh it’s not your standard garlic bread and has a strong real garlic flavor. If you aren’t a garlic head I wouldn’t recommend it. The cheese was a good touch but I wish it was hotter when we got it. We ordered a Pomodoro and a Carbonara Alexandra with added mushrooms and hot peppers on the Pomodoro. The peppers were very flavorful and the mushrooms are definitely worth talking about. They had a lot of flavor and also had a nice earthy taste. The food is very fresh and clearly tastes of quality. You get the bite of the fresh noodles. The Pomodoro has a very good mix of tomato and basil flavors. The cheese also helps give the sauce a nice flavor boost. The Carbonara was good as well but was less flavorful than the Pomodoro. It had a more of a pork flavor. Overall I would recommend to anyone who visits.

I'm really feeling like a 4.5. I love the outdoor space here and the wait staff were extremely friendly and charming. I enjoyed my friend's carbonara and garlic bread a lot more than my Karah's diavolo. The proportions just seemed a little off- too sour, not enough salt. Overall, a very worthwhile experience and I'll get a different dish next time.

Food is too good!!We had garlic bread for appetizers. Pomodoro, Cacio E Pepe, Margarita pizza and Rainbow salad for main course, everything was perfect. Their in house made farm cheese is a must try!!

Patrizi’s lives up to the hype! The wait was quite long but I did go at 7pm. I was able to get the Carbonara and share a garlic bread. The pasta was so fresh and the flavors so robust. I highly recommend this dish and can not wait to come back and try new ones! 😋

Loooooove this spot for handmade pasta!! My go to is the carbonara and my favorite part of it is that runny yolk. Absolutely delicious. They also have the cutest covered patio for when it gets chilly with space heaters and it makes the perfect casual date out.

One of the best freshly made pasta with great flavors. My all time favorites are Bruschetta and Garlic bread. I tried Lemon flavored pasta (forgot the actual name) and it’s a plate with great flavor. I always ask for extra sauce in my pasta, even though they charge extra money, it’s elevate the flavor to next level. Not just food but overall the ambience and love for local food trucks never disappoints this place. They alternate the pasta types everyday so it’s never boring for a same flavor pasta 🍝

We have had Patrizi's on our dining list for awhile now and finally got around to going last night, and needless to say, we indulged and it was so so SO worth it. My husband and I shared the Cacio e Pepe, Carbonara Alexandra and the Patrizi’s Red Sauce with an added Meatball, and a side of the Garlic Bread. WOW - everything was absolutely delicious! Fresh ingredients, incredible flavor, well seasoned and pastas were cooked to perfection. The garlic bread was like crack, literally could eat that all day, everyday and it would be worth every calorie. All of the pastas were tasty, and although I went specifically for the cacio e pepe (and it was delicious), the carbonara was the real standout - the touch of honey with the savory sauce is pure genius - a must when you dine here. Service was great, everyone was super friendly, from the hostess to the wait staff and food runners. Wine & cocktails were provided by Butterfly Bar which you could order from your table directly and they would be brought right out.  Can't beat the outdoor seating either on a cool night, will definitely be back!

If you’re looking to rapidly increase your dopamine levels, I would highly recommend coming to The Vortex, ordering at Patrizi’s, then heading inside the bar to look for the resident cats and/or get yourself a drink while you wait for your food. I’ve adored every pasta I’ve tried from here, but my go-to is the Diavolo with a patrizi’s salad. Ordering either the garlic bread or the bruschetta to share should be mandatory, as is getting here by 8:30 at the latest as they start to run out of things around then. The atmosphere is as inviting and warm (they have heat lamps in the winter) as it gets. This place is the real deal!

L
Lupita Avellaneda

I want to start by saying that everyone there provided great customer service. One employee approached us briefly and explained their dishes since it was our first time there, which was very helpful. My boyfriend and I ordered the carbonara and pomodoro, and they were delicious and fresh. The only thing that wasn't my favorite was the garlic bread it was cold and quite hard to eat honestly. However I understand it was a busy day, but other than that everything was great.

outdoor seating is absolutely a must during the warm months!! the lighting and ambiance is perfect for an intimate group hangout or a date night!! their wine options inside the bar are great & the food is phenomenal HOT!! Highly suggest eating the food as soon as it comes to the table! We got the - meatball - the great Leopold (basil pesto dish) - rainbow salad - bruschetta (highly recommend this) - diavolo with mushroom + honey

Let me just say, this was our first time eating here and we weren’t disappointed. Everything was great. Matteo was awesome for advice on ordering and checking in with us regarding the food after delivered. Will definitely come back and bring more friends!

Excellent food. Patrizi’s is inside the Vortex (open area with food trucks, sitting area, shows, bar, etc). Excellent pasta - many varieties. Highly recommend the Karah’s Diavolo with Honey. It’s a must have - a very unique take on pasta / taste that you wouldn’t find elsewhere. Garlic bread here is intense - try at your own mercy. Ambience for dining in the area is nice - lots of lighting, heated seating available as well.

Best pasta in Austin! There's usually a long line but the wait is worth it! Great place and large outdoor seating to catch up with friends. Can't go wrong with any pasta, but I've tried carbonara, karah's diavolo, cacio e pepe and patrizis salad and they're all amazing.

D
Dharshini Vasudevan

I absolutely love coming here! The food is great, the vibe is amazing & the live music is lovely. The only con is the waiting time. There’s always a huge queue especially if you come here on the weekend. If it’s your first time here, I highly recommend you try the Garlic Bread. It’s literally one of the best ones I’ve ever had! Ask for extra confit if you’re a garlic lover. I also always get the great Leopold aka pesto pasta. So so good! Other things to try would be their bruschetta, salads, and meatballs. The pomodoro sauce is very good too! They have plenty of veggie friendly options which is really cool. There’s also a bar inside to grab some cocktails or beverages. Parking is a bit tricky especially on a Friday/Saturday night. Also I would say this place increased their prices for pasta. When I came here initially they were pretty affordable but now it’s $16 per pasta. For the quantity that they offer I would say it’s a bit overpriced. Other than that, everything is great here :) Overall a great spot for date nights, birthdays, or just hanging out with friends!

Patrizi’s is an Italian food truck and an Austin staple. Along with the Butterfly Bar, it’s part of the Vortex, a live theater venue with extensive outdoor seating. I tried their red sauce pasta, which is made with pork trimmings, herbs, and Grana Padano cheese. I added a meatball, which paired perfectly with the sauce. I also had their roasted beets with cheese, which tasted very fresh. I finished with a huge slice of perfectly creamy tiramisu. All of this was shared between two people, and we were both full by the end. The food is amazing, service is friendly, and the atmosphere is laid-back. If you’re thinking of trying it out, I have three recommendations. First, come early, around opening time. The free parking lot fills up fast, and the line to order can get long. Second, bring insect repellent so you don’t have to worry about mosquitoes. Finally, stop by the Butterfly Bar for drinks! I’m a big fan of their sangria.

First tried Patrizi’s like 5 years ago and loved it! Was excited to come back and enjoyed it again. Got orders to go. Loved that they had the half salad half pasta option - a perfect option. Loved the house salad, so good. Did the karah’s diavolo, it def had a good spice to it, very much enjoyed. Always a fun atmosphere there.

Walked into Patrizi’s hoping for a comforting Italian meal and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Red Sauce fettuccine with a side House Salad (the creamy Italian dressing, giardiniera and garlic confit really stood out), and the pasta was perfectly al dente and flavorful. The ambiance is relaxed and warm, and the staff were genuinely helpful — they checked in just the right amount and made good dessert suggestions. I’ll definitely be back — next time I’m eyeing the Carbonara Alexandra or maybe one of their specialty pizzas.

I have been craving pasta lately and finding Patrizi’s was the perfect spot! I got lucky and had the special— Leovolo, it’s a combo sauce of their pesto and diavolo sauce. Amaaazing it was so great! My sister got the Carbonara and our friend ordered the Diavolo! All sooo good but mine was the best! We also got an order of their bruschetta and we were so impressed!

P
Polina Golikova

After saving Patrizi’s years ago on my list, I finally decided to try it out for a date night. We were immediately assisted with their ordering processes and explained specials. We ordered their eggplant pasta, diavolo, garlic bread and tiramisu. Food came out in waves and everything was so so delicious. The garlic bread toast was to die for and portions were heaping. The pasta had a delicious bite and flavor, packed with sauce and toppings. Everything tasted so good and unique. The tiramisu was delicious as well. The Vortex itself is a really cute area with lots of parking, covered seating, and entertainment. It was storming so we didn’t get to enjoy the live music and drinks, but I would definitely come back to try more food and drinks.

J

The best Italian food in all of Austin. Everything is spectacular. A long line forms so get there early. Drinks provided by Vortex the theatre. They do hand out tiny bites to sample while you wait, which is appreciated.

P
Paul Halfman

Can be a little tricky to find so just follow your navigation. Small parking lot with street parking available. There is a process to ordering that you might not be used to and there's plenty of staff to help you through it. Pick out a table first, figure out what you want to order, get in line (there's usually a line that moves quickly) and someone will come by to talk to you about the menu, place your order at the food truck and have a seat. Someone will bring the food to you. If your table doesn't have a number, don't worry, they'll find you right away. There's an outdoor stage with live music and a separate theater (The Vortex). All seating is outdoors and the atmosphere is backyard party. The food is outstanding, traditional Italian cuisine. While it may be served on a paper plate, the presentation is outstanding. Patrizi's goes above and beyond with their sauces. Check out the garlic bread with whole roasted cloves served on top.

P
Peyun K

My favorite restaurant in Austin - they put so much detail and care in the presentation and quality of the food with things like fresh herbs, pickles and unique flavor combinations. We were there a couple weeks ago and I tried their seasonal creamy pea, leek + mint pasta and absolutely loved it. The carrot side dish shown in the photo is also seasonal and was amazing too (even my husband really liked it and he usually has little interest in vegetables).

M

We visited this “food truck” because my son loves pasta and we were not disappointed. He rated almost everything a 10. He even mentioned his lemonade was top shelf. We had the pesto and it was amazing and had a nice kick to it. The bruschetta was a mix three different types and they were all delicious all vegetarian of course. We also had a couple of drinks that were also very good

This was nothing but an exhilarating, lively, and fun atmosphere. Co-worker outing and from the fans with mist to the vegan friendly pasta option and fantastic meatball and sauce, it was stellar. The garlic bread was what really sold me. A co-worker said it was by far and away worth getting and through my uncertainty, I got it and loved it all! 11/10 recommend. Great for a group and amazing food. Parking was a little hard but parking few blocks away wasn’t terrible.

Came here for dinner with my 3 year old and the atmosphere is definitely geared towards college kids with a trendy bar. The venue has a theatre and shows but we just went there for the food. If you don’t get there before opening, you’re stuck standing in a long line. That said, the food was delicious! Definitely hand made pasta, a little al dente, but super tasty. The meatball was my husband’s favorite with an amazing red sauce and heavily seasoned meat. Garlic bread had real roasted cloves loaded on top that were phenomenal. Would go back!

Q
Queeny Qiu

5/5 experience! Delicious pastas and amazing ambiance! This place was highly recommended to us and it did not disappoint. There’s lots of seating available so don’t be intimated by the long wait to put in your order. The portions were generous and the menu was reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

C
Cade Smith

Wow! Wow! Wow! Regardless of the long wait due to the high volume of people on a Sunday it was well worth the wait. The food is incredibly well seasoned and fresh, the pasta had the perfect bite to it, and the appetizers were just incredible you need to get the bruschetta trio. The venue at The Vortex is so gorgeous with all of the open sitting outside with the lights and beautiful plants. Worst part about this location is how tricky the parking can be if you're coming later in the day and or not lucky with finding a spot. Just get here. You need to try this ASAP!

M
Mitko Davidkov

One of the coolest places i’ve been since moving to Austin. The food is made in a food truck but has great taste and texture to all their dishes. The ambience of their sitting area really matches the energy of the city. My girlfriend loved this place rating it a 9.5/10 and she never gives above an 8/10 usually.

I have been living in Austin for 2.5 years and have been a patron of Patrizi’s for just as long. It’s a wonderful outdoor atmosphere to gather with friends (certainly more enjoyable in cooler weather but they have umbrellas and sun shades!) and Butterfly Bar right next door is always a hit. It can get pretty busy and there can be a long standing wait to order + a long wait for the food to get to your table, but the dishes are so fresh and flavorful that I don’t mind. Try their seasonal specials! And they always have an array of events, live music, trivia, and more. This is a spot I will always recommend to visitors and veterans of Austin alike. I do feel like in the last 2.5 years the servers have gotten less talkative and outgoing, though :/ I knew so many servers by name but it’s not really like that anymore.

F

Patrizi's is amazing. I've been to both their Manor and Cuernavaca locations and have always been impressed. Fresh pasta, complex flavors, and just a great atmosphere have made this a place a go-to for me for a long time. I highly recommend the garlic bread, it's a super delicious mix of ciabatta with garlic confit and some other cheeses added on top. But warning, everything here is VERY garlicky so be cautious of that if it's not your thing. And of course, the fresh pasta is an absolute necessity. I don't believe there are many places in Austin that make fresh pasta and even then Patrizi's flavor combinations and overall quality of ingredients is likely to outdo anyone else. The service was great and the ambiance at both locations makes the place really cool to take your friends to. The only thing is to be prepared to pay a lot of money—but I can't say any other place in Austin reaches the same bar in this category. So take that how you will!

I had an exceptional dining experience at Patrizi's! The ambiance was inviting, with beautiful outdoor seating. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, recommending the perfect dishes. The five different types of pasta we tried were all cooked to perfection, each with its own unique flavor profile. The house salad was fresh and crisp, and the roasted beets were a delightful side. The garlic bread was to die for – crispy on the outside, soft and buttery on the inside. Everything reminded me of the best pasta I had in Rome. I highly recommend Patrizi's for a truly authentic Italian dining experience

Okay. Wow 🤯 Why did it take us so long to hit this up. The Dinner for Two is hands down the most delicious value offering in the Austin Italian scene. All around 🤌 Highlights for me were the Cacio e Pepe and Garlic bread. Thank you. Will be singing praises.

Amazing. Get the garlic bread, and the tiramisu. The pasta was also amazing - I got the vodka sauce pasta with honey chicken. It was delicious. I would definitely go again. The vibes are also really nice :) outdoor seating only but it’s very cute.

Their Carbonara Alexandra and Lemon Thyme were delicious. Meatball at the size "tennis ball" were true to size. Friendly and helpful ordering made it a breeze. Once your order is ready, their staff will bring out the food by locating you. You can dine outdoors, or indoors at the courtesy of the Butterfly bar within the same courtyard. Just let the Patrizi's staff know of your seating location for a smooth experience.

Quintessential Austin eatery — a food truck with meals that rock your world and an eclectic outdoor seating area. This is coming from someone who grew up with a Sicilian grandma: the food is terrific and REAL. I love it. The only drawback is that you have to go into a bar if you want to get a drink of any kind.

I’m not exaggerating when I say this but this was the best pasta I’ve ever had. Amazinggggg I got the cacio e Pepe and added pancetta and it was so good. My boyfriend got the red sauce with a meatball (yes it’s only one but it’s huge) and he loved it as well. The garlic bread is a MUST! The service was great, that was our first time and a lovely gentleman took the time to explain how it worked and gave us recommendations. The wait can be long but we happened to go on a slower night. Also the weather was very nice so I can’t really speak on what it would be like pn a hut summer day. Overall, amazing experience and will definitely be back.

I incredible food as always, but the line is always insanely long and they only ever have one employee working. They’d benefit from a new ordering structure potentially? By the time our pasta came around it was cold. But, I’m a longtime fan and will always enjoy it

Cozy atmosphere with artsy bar, food truck, nice patio! Friendly and informative staff. We picked the Abbiocco Combo for two and enjoyed it. Was impressed with the cacio & pepe and carbonara versions they did! Laena was awesome!

I visited Patrizi in Austin for the first time with my sister around 6 p.m., and it completely exceeded my expectations. We ordered the pomodoro pasta with chicken, and wow I was honestly amazed. The flavors were incredible, the portion was generous, and at around $15, it felt like a great value. It was one of those meals where you can’t leave a single bite behind. The atmosphere was great, too. It was a bit cold outside, but the staff immediately set up a propane heater for us, which made it really comfortable. We genuinely appreciated the extra attention. My sister and I had an awesome time. There’s also a bar right in front of the restaurant that had really good Monday promotions, which was a fun bonus to the night. Overall, this place is amazing, delicious food, great service, great atmosphere. I can’t stop saying how good it was. Definitely a five-star experience and absolutely worth a visit!

My girl sent me a tik Tok video about this place so I wanted to check it out with her. I definitely was not surprised how good it was It was really good and it has a nice setup and everyone working there was so freaking friendly. So we got a combination pasta plate which was like $55 plus tax got us a couple different options I can't remember what we got but it was really good I have some photos I'm going to upload those too. Restrooms were in the bar which is nice cuz the bar was a nice little bar It was a cool little venue too cuz it had a outside seating but it had a eating area and another eating area on the other side but the other eating area had like trivia going on but also could have shows going on as well just depends on what day you go parking was not that bad I was very surprised overall definitely would love to come back.

What a cool place. Totally in the spirit of Austin, this place has so much character and individuality. The food is absolutely to die for. The scenery is great - go at sunset for perfect lighting. You can tell everyone here is having a great time. There are lots of people who bring their dogs, which is awesome :) I haven't investigated it yet but I guess there is a theater too, on certain nights. Very cool, had a great time.

My first experience at Patrizi’s was easygoing, fresh and perfectly portioned for a hot mid-summer early dinner. I made it out to Patrizi’s happy hour special, it’s a small window (5pm-6pm M-Th) so I arrived on Tuesday at the start and I’m glad I did cuz by mid hour there was definitely a tail lined up. I believe it’s a limited summer time HH menu but it consists of $5 specials each of half pasta plates, side salad, garlic bread and the $5 sangria at Butterfly Bar (which shares the space) paired well with the delightful pasta meal that hot early evening. The atmosphere was classic laid back Austin hipster vibes with that “lived-in” outdoor seating and fan misters but there was some decent shade at the hour too. Because they are operating out of a food truck you will order and pay at their counter. The staff were efficient and friendly. Food was hella fresh, flavorful and perfectly portioned especially eating carbs in Texas summer heat. The garlic bread was airy too so I didn’t feel heavy before the pasta arrived. I shared with my husband- 2 half portion pasta, one side salad and garlic bread (3 slices) and we each both had 2 sangrias. We felt v satisfied without the post pasta heaviness. Catch this HH special while it’s here!

Super fun, inclusive atmosphere with a great staff. They were super helpful to new people and gave a great description of the menu. 1/12/2024 Patrizi's 2307 Manor Rd Austin, TX 78722 I tagged along during a visit to Austin, hosted by a local restaurateur friend of my nephew on a cold January night about 8:30. We were told that there can be long lines and waits, but not on this frigid evening. The kitchen is a food truck with the modest menu on a billboard, with specials on a baby sister board. You order and pay at the window, given your paper plates and plastic utensils, tell them the location in the large outdoor eating area of your selected table and wait for your order to be delivered. Fortunately there were several propane heating towers and we were able to sit under one so we were comfortable. You can get alcohol at the adjacent entertainment bar. Overall, everything was very good and health oriented, mostly some form of fettuccine with fresh vegetables and salads. Flavors were very light and refreshing although a little on the salty side. This is not a place for heavy protein dishes like meatballs, sausage and seafood; definitely no Cioppino. A nice place for a healthier Italian food change of pace. But since I prefer the heavy protein, probably no repeat for me.

I love the fresh food and offerings here. I grew up in NW Pennsylvania where there were a plethora of local mom and pop Italian restaurants. In short I was spoiled. There aren't a ton here and even less who execute it well. Patrizi's is able to deliver flavorful food in a casual, unpretentious setting. The staff is amazing. They will walk the line and describe how the menu and suggest dishes for first timers. They are friendly and will answer any questions. The biggest caveat is the wait. When we didn't have a kid it wasn't an issue...now a 1.5 year old doesn't have the same patience. There are good drinks from Butterfly Bar to pass the time. Parking is scarce so arrive early. If you get there close to opening it's a good spot. I would have trouble waiting the 1.5 hour plus if you get there after 6 but again we have a kid so it's a whole different animal. We split garlic bread that had a good buttery taste and crunch. My husband got the red sauce with a meatball. Our son really seemed to enjoy the meatball over his buttered noodles. I went with Karah's Diovolo and opted for the 1/2 serving of pasta with house salad. I think I enjoyed the salad the most. I like that you have this option so I don't overstuff myself on pasta. I think next time we might opt for trying small plates for something different. I'm glad to have a place in the neighborhood that has a real dedication to fresh Italian food.

I recently tried the pasta Pomodoro with an addition of chicken arrosto at Patrizi's food truck, and I must say, it was a good experience. I would give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars. Firstly, the atmosphere was really pretty, and there was good seating available outside. However, the service was a bit slow during dinner time, and I had to wait for an hour to get my food. But once it arrived, it was worth the wait. The food was definitely homemade, and I could tell that the pasta was also made in-house, which I loved. Although the food was good, it was not the best pasta I have ever had. The pricing was also a bit overpriced in my opinion, especially since most meats are add-ons. However, overall, it was a good experience with good food. If you're in the mood for homemade pasta and don't mind waiting a bit, I would definitely recommend giving Patrizi's food truck a try. *Side note: parking is very limited so be prepared to street park on the surrounding areas.

Get here early or order online because they will sell out and there will be a line as soon as they open. This food truck outside The Butterfly Bar | Vortex Theater serves up old school Italian food. We went specifically for the meatballs but enjoyed everything we ate!

I heard good things about this spot. Sadly, it didn’t meet my expectations. I’m from Italy, and more precisely, from the birthplace of pasta, Bologna. The pasta is good, but not great. It doesn’t feel super fresh for some reason, and this also resonates with the other ingredients. I ordered the carbonara, classic Roman dish, under the suggestion of the server. Yet, it tasted far off from a real carbonara. I appreciate the crispy pancetta, but I couldn’t taste the pecorino romano at all. Besides, the not so fresh chives and parsley were way off. I have never seen chives on a pasta dish, and it totally didn’t work. Plus, parsley is mostly used for seafood dishes, like risotto. These two ingredients pretty much covered the flavour of the whole dish and it was not the best combination. Despite this, I like the casual and chill ambience. The pasta itself is definitely probably the best Austin has to offer, so I probably would have given a better opinion if I tried simpler dishes with just tomato sauce.

The atmosphere is really fun, all of the workers were super friendly and helpful. The wait is a bit long, but we were expecting that. We got the dinner for two. The food was mostly very good, but the acino de pepe was too peppery and not creamy at all. The pesto pasta was our favorite, and my fiance loved the garlic bread.

It's outdoors. There are like trivia nights and there are more quiet section where you can sit. The red pasta didn't really have flavor but carbonara and great Leopold was good. Bruschetta and Patrizi's Salad were really good! Dog friendly. Looks pretty at night with the lights

My family loves this restaurant. The pasts is good quality and you can tell good products go into making your food. The downside is the one person taking orders and waiting in line. Im a disabled individual and standing for long periods of time can be brutal. Its worth a visit if you love pasta. I recommend the meatballs, cacio pepe with garlic confit.

The place has an energetic vibe and relaxing atmosphere the same time. There is live music on stage (the Vortex) and tables in front of it, as well as private tables too. The food was great all in all, except the garlic bread was too buttery/oily for my taste. However, the taste of roasted garlic was good and the bread was nicely baked. Also the Great Leopold (pesto fettuccine) was amazing. There will be waiting even on a weekday to put in order so be prepared.

R

Loved the Pomodoro sauce. I would come back just for this sauce. Meatball was a little overhyped. I saw too many TikTok’s and reviews on how this was the best meatball ever. Maybe not ever. But it’s good. Haha :D Salad was also excellent. Staff is friendly and helpful. Luckily I arrive right at 5pm. And service was quick. Line really picks up after 6pm so try to arrive early for quick service.

Vibes are great though the misters were more like super soakers in some area. The mosquitos are aggressive (not Patrizi’s fault but that’s something to keep in mind if you’re eating here for dinner in the hot weather months). The plants are lovely and I love the little cats that roam the area (only one came to greet us though). Pasta was pretty good! Portions are quite hefty. Maybe I could’ve finished it if I didn’t have some garlic bread, but it reheated well for my breakfast the day after. I appreciate that Patrizi’s doesn’t throw out food at the end of the night, and they’ll give the leftovers out to whoever’s available. Please get someone to fix the awful pothole where the one way exit from the parking lot is. I took emotional, physical and psychic damage driving over that. I’d definitely come back, but perhaps not during event so that I don’t have to fight for my life for parking.

Good food, great local Austin atmosphere, not many places like this left. I'd only say 4 stars on did because I ordered the exact same dish that was on food networks "the best thing I ever ate" and it's not the best pasta in Austin by a long shot. It's still very good and for the price it's near the top, but not the top.

N
Nandini

The garlic bread here is simply out of this world. It’s definitely the most delicious garlic bread I’ve ever had. The bruschetta is similarly delightful. The pastas here taste fresh, but are somewhat lacking in flavor/spice. Also, they typically arrive slightly room temperature, not particularly hot. However, I would say the garlic bread is worth the frequently 45+ minute wait.

We ordered food for pick up and when we went to pick it up they said order was already picked up even though we didn't. After some confusion and looking around they were finally able to give us our order. We got pomodoro and cacio e pepe pasta with chicken along with garlic bread. The garlic was absolutely delicious with big chunks of garlic. It was our favorite and we all felt we should have ordered more of it. Coming to pasta, the pasta texture was excellent and we all enjoyed the pomodoro. The fresh basil and cheese that comes with was great The cacio e pepe was nice but it had very little sauce, that it almost felt like we were eating plain pasta. The chicken we ordered with both the pasta could use some more flavor but tasted fine when eaten with pasta

I was looking for great Italian in Austin and this food truck came up and it did not disappoint! It's definitely worth a visit, and if you want to make a night of it there is a pretty cheesy magic show next door😉 I got the carbonara Alexandra, the smoky flavor and sauce was great but the pancetta was not great quality and needed more crisping but I was pleased with the portion size for $17. The panzanella salad was also very tasty and fresh. They have containers of water sitting outside but they're not iced so I had to go into the bar to get a large glass of ice which I think is silly in Austin but I get it, it's a food truck, there are limitations. They also use disposable which I'm not a fan of if there's another option, but sometimes it's not. So here's a thought Patrizi's .....have your plates work with a to-go top so that's all they have to ask for when they leave, instead of using two separate containers, that should save you some money. Overall, the ambiance is great and they do what they can for the heat with the fans and the misters. The plants are gorgeous and everywhere and fun to explore if that's your jam. Pet friendly!

4.2 stars First of all, be prepared to have patience as this place had a huge line on a Sunday night. The guy that was running the orders was super nice. He gave good recs and even gave us free beets (bc we are indecisive and were between tomatoes and beets for the $55 abbi dish). The food took around 9 minutes to come out for the salads, tomatoes, beets, and garlic bread. The salad was pretty good (italian salad) but was quite strange how there were just chunks of garlic tossed in there (like whole cloves). The beets were decent, but the tomatoes are much much better tbh. The garlic bread honestly needed a bit more love; it is quite overhyped. If only it were hotter when it came out, had butter, and cheese (then it would be perfect!). The stars of the show came out after: pomodoro pasta (very good!), cacio e pepe (mid!), and the pesto pasta (so so fire!). The chicken in tomato sauce was actually insane (get it!!). It comes with two pieces for the duo plate thing. My friend ordered a carbonara and hated it. It was not good tbh; it had a weird cheese mixed in with it. Otherwise, my final plea to the creative staff: bring fettuccine alfredo in place of the cacio e pepe PLEASE! Also a bolognese pasta!! Love the people that work here and the ambience! Will come back.

This place is an A+ for sure. The atmosphere is worth the experience. They have poetry nights in one seating section and a bar in another. Along with their own personal dining area. If you don't want to experience the bar scene plus poetry night. The food was exquisite. However, I had to give the food rating four out of five stars. Just for the simple fact of there not being much protein in any of their pasta entrees. They cook each order to order, so expect a longer wait time for your food. IT'S WORTH THE WAIT! They also have a couple of cats that roam around the seating area, but not invasive by any means. I'd recommend this spot to couples looking to explore & have a little outdoor date night!

The pasta was really good but it cost basically $20 per plate after taxes and tips. The portion size was alright but not for $20, and my carbonara came with a measly 4-5 pieces of pancetta. As a broke college student, it broke my heart to open my order to find that they even left out the whole egg yolk from my carbonara which was advertised in the photos and the whole reason I ordered the carbonara. The pasta is really high quality but I just wish I got my egg yolk :(

There is onsite parking but it’s competitive. Have to park in the near by neighborhood. Outdoor only seating since it’s a food truck. I fail to understand the hype about this place. For the steep prices, I would at least hope for well-executed dishes. The cacio e pepe was bland at best, lacking the creamy richness you’d expect, and the bruschetta was overly sour without the fresh juiciness of tomatoes. Something about the flavors just didn’t hit the mark for me. I’ve visited twice now, and both times I felt like there was a lot to be desired, despite the lovely ambiance.

B
Bhargavi Kunapareddy

We saw great reviews of Patrizi’s online and decided to check it out. The place has a nice vibe, but the food honestly didn’t live up to the hype. We ordered the garlic bread, the Pomodoro pasta, and The Great Leopold with chicken. The garlic bread was decent, but both pastas were disappointing—the pasta itself felt quite firm/hard and there wasn’t enough sauce. Also, they don’t serve water with your order, which was surprising. Overall, not a place we’d go back to.

Aman Goklani

I was so excited to try this place but it was so disappointing. It’s one of the worst pasta’s I’ve had in Austin. The pasta was so stale and didn’t even taste as good. It was so dry and lacked sauce. Even the bruschetta was not that good. The trivia was the only fun part of our evening!

Amber Lee
Amber Lee

We heard a lot of good things about Patrizi’s and had a craving for some good pasta, so we figured we’d drop by. The parking situation isn’t too bad as there’s a lot of spaces to choose from. You enter a big courtyard that looks pretty nice and there’s a ton of seating inside. There’s an attached bar as well, so they recommend grabbing a drink while you wait for your food to come out. They have two different areas to sit at, all with misters if you’re hot, and one side includes a stage for what is live music or shows at some point. As for the food, we won’t sugarcoat it, Patrizi’s is not that good. We ordered their pomodoro with a meatball and cacio e pepe with chicken. The pomodoro was not special at all, pretty standard for a pomodoro anywhere, except for the fact this sauce was just missing something and it was pretty thin. The meatball was also strange, not very firm and fell apart way too easily, plus the mix itself tasted a bit odd as there were onions in it. As for the cacio e pepe, it was alright. The pasta was relatively firm and there should have been more cream and cheese in it. The chicken was easily the best part of both dishes as it was moist and seasoned well. Look, the pasta isn’t bad, but when you’re paying around $20 a plate and the portions are small and they come out on paper plates with plastic utensils, you have a right to critique it. This is one of the rare times in Austin we’ve gone heavily against the grain and would not recommend you stop by Patrizi’s. There’s definitely potential but just be wary.

As an Italian, this restaurant was extremely disappointing. The pasta was undercooked and tasted horrible. I couldn’t eat more than one bite of it. The music was loud EDM which I would never expect in an Italian restaurant. Complete waste of money - I’m not sure how this restaurant is so highly rated but the employees were nice.
