Quick drive through with real cool selection of cold drinks, milkshakes are awesome and if the queue is too long go to a booth as it can work quicker at times, well worth checking out.

Just went thru the drive-through for a Coke. Once the 4th car ahead of me got their order from apparently ordering the whole menu, the line went quickly and the young lady at the window was charming and friendly. Here's a tip folks: It is, and always has been, very rude to place a big order thru the drive-through. Don't be a JERK! IF you have a large order, go to one of the stalls and leave the drive-through for folks with drink orders and other small orders. Thank you!

I eat here occasionally but it's all about the drinks. The drive thru is always busy so I recommend cutting your time in half by pulling into a car stall and ordering that way

Went through the drive through and was met with a coherent person on the other end. I didn't catch her name, but help me out fairly quickly and efficiently. She repeated my order before we moved from the speaker to verify what I ordered. The food was good and like at any franchise, if you like the food then you'll like it at any location.

In this heat.. I am all about Happy Hour from (I think) 2-4pm (don't quote me on that! Perfect crunchy ice... Route 44 Cherry, Vanilla Dr. Pepper. Or a slush with nerds. It's a great deal and a great way to beat the heat when you are driving around town working in the heat!

7/28/22 @ 5:30 pm had a great experience, food was good and the staff was very friendly. Received the Order in a timely manner. I do not live on this side of town but I would have no problem driving to this location for the customer service. I have been to several Sonic's and this one is by far the best one I have been to for a while. Thank you Staff and Management for the great customer service.

Me and my husband, honestly get sonic from here pretty much every day. Sometimes I order on the app sometimes I go to the drive-through. I usually get a Dr Pepper with sweet cream or a slushy and my husband gets a blast And I usually get a sundae for our son. I think a lot of these people in the reviews misunderstand when you order the app you’re supposed to go to the stalls not through the drive-through, but sometimes the workers will still accommodate you if you end up going through the drive-through. I think all of the workers do a great job of handling the rush this sonic gets super busy. Some days they perform better than others, but that’s anywhere you go. I am grateful that there even is the sonic so close to my house because I’m pregnant and It really helps to have a treat at the end of the day.

Still good after twenty years. It's been that long since we've had Sonic. I had a Garlic Bacon Burger but they didn't have bacon. My burger was still delicious and the Tater Tots were great, too. We also had the largest drinks ever which is one awesome thing that most fast food places don't have nowadays. Prices to portioning was still reasonable. Wish they had more Sonics in California! They're everywhere on the East Coast.

I really love sonic, the best one is on white lane close to Midas. I was bummed out today because they got my order wrong. They gave me the cheapest looking burger ever... Im never going in drive thru again

My kids love Sonic because the commercials look so enticing but once you go thru the drive thru and you see the kitchen and the location doesn't look like a five star location. The food is good and the usual wait time is not bad!

I love their sonic blast and I only get the minis. About 4 bucks. They also have happy hour for drinks which is a steal from 2-4 pm. They also are the only people that have fritz pie roll ups. Delicious. Another amazing item is theirs pretzels and cheese. Absolutely delicious.

The place is good. The pricing especially "happy hour" pricing seems intentionally confusing so it's easy to be disappointed paying 3 times more for not arriving during hours that are not posted. Shakes and drinks are fantastic, but the food is almost on par with a large menu fast food chain like Jack in the box or Burger King but the price is higher than both. As long as I just order a drink or shake I'm never disappointed.

The food is always fresh and taste's great, the staff has been the same for a good while so they know what they're doing. Always super nice and help if something is off, now the only draw back to this amazing food spot is ......... Sometimes is understaffed and has led to some longer wait times. On that note drive thru is always WAY faster so if in a hurry go that route

When I wnt into the drive through it was boring the lights weren't working. Although the food was pretty good I always get the blue razzberry and mozzarella sticks. The service was pretty good but when I got my drink there was a little bug in the lid. I was very disappointed and disgusted

Some of the reviews for this location are ridiculous. I ordered 2 drinks. Strawberry limeade and a coke. Nothing spectacular....just 2 drinks. Service was just fine. There were only 2 cars in front of me. Got my drinks in under 10 minutes. It's fast food not a dine in restaurant with a dress code. With that being said people should take it easy on places like this. You get what you pay for. The fact that some people who made a review identifying someone's race is outrageous. Says more about the person leaving a review then the Sonic employee.This is one of the better Sonics in Bakersfield in my opinion. Never had an issue with my orders from here.

Comfort food with great choices for drinks! The drink flavor combinations are limitless. Keep an eye out for specials, such as happy hour, where drinks are half price from 2pm-5pm. The Chili Coney dog is a classic and satisfying meal combo. Good food for the whole family.

The food is awesome but the Sonic drive-thur is awful. The wait is long to order and then even longer for your food. This visit tonight I had to go back after I relieved they didn’t give me my one drink but remember my two burgers, two grilled cheese sandwich and two tots. I hope they get better but the many years I’ve gone to this White Ln spot I don’t think they will.

It's Sonic's, what do you expect? where else can you go and order breakfast lunch and dinner at the same spot at the same time? We get the Boneless Wings in are always good. If so damn messy though. Come on sonic, throwing some wet wipes! You can't be the half price drinks at happy hour. We went late and a hand a half price shakes. it's always great to get a shake they have a great selection with tons of choices for everybody.

The fruity slushes are a pain due to clogging up your straw. The drinks themselves are delicious but with the strawberries and other misc fruit blocking the straw. This isn't a problem if you aren't driving. Still love the drinks however and the tater tot side make for a treat.

Just an FYI.....if you are going to start charging customers for extra sauces it needs to be posted so said customer can add it to their bill. And furthermore I have NEVER paid extra for sauces at Sonic so imagine my surprise that after paying for $20+ of food I then had to dig 25cents out of my purse for one stupid marinara sauce. Rude!

Can't say enough about the friendly staff, but unfortunately the service is slow...always. The last 3 times I've been, it's the same story, regardless of how busy they seem to be. Were it not for the convenience of the location, I would probably try another place. Great shakes, though!

We parked and waited for our food rather than doing drive-thru. They messed up two of our items, but everything still tasted good. Probably won't be going back to that location anytime soon for a while. They didn't look busy either. We were the only other car parked.

We ordered drinks and a snack, food and drinks were good as expected. The line was very long, so we figured the wait would be a while. Probably spent over 30 minutes behind 4 cars. 3 different people tried taking our drink order complaining they couldn't hear me. Guessing problems with the communications or kitchen.

I ordered a Sonic blast. I can't remember the flavor,however, it was awesome until I got to the bottom of my cup. It started tasting as though something was sour or soapy. I then became disappointed and threw the rest away.

Came to this location and ordered a footlong hotdog and asked for ketchup and relish. They want to charge for the relish, why? It should come with the hotdogs. Are they strapped for cash that they need to charge for relish. This is a joke and a scam. Disappointed with sonic.

Can't completely understand why they always take so long here. Even when its not busy ordering is a hassle and lengthy wait times. It's happened to me more than a few times when their ice cream machine was not working, made me feel like I was at McDonald's for a second 😂 Anywho, service is not worth it.

Drive Thru wasn't too bad, but the quality of our drinks and milkshakes was not good. My Oreo cheesecake shake was made with Oreo and chocolate ice cream (no clue why it was made with chocolate) and had no cheesecake in it whatsoever. Our cherry limeades had 99% sprite and literally only enough cherry to make it a light pink. All we could taste was sprite. I will not be visiting this location again anytime soon.

On Friday, May 10th I placed a mobile order simply for mozzarella sticks, nothing else, this was placed at 8:10 PM. When I went to the stall number 4 to check in, the staff told me that it would be out shortly as they just dropped them. Considering that they might be busy I waited patiently, but at 8:24 PM I checked in again just to remind. Once it was 8:32 PM I just decided to leave since it was clear it wasn't coming anytime soon. I understand how busy it could possibly be but there occasionally no one in the drive thru and hardly anyone around me. On top of that, I tried to call to let them know that I wanted to cancel/refund the order but the number listed in both google and the app is no longer in service. I very much appreciate this location as I come every once in a while and don't usually have any problems but over 20 minutes for one item that was checked on twice ridiculous.

Ordered online went to pick it up. Was told we had to check in on the screen could not check in we tried communicating the issue with the staff they didnt explain how just kept repeating that we had to check in finally we were told it was okay they'll bring it out to us. It took 30 minutes to get melted drinks. After back and forth disagreements with the manager we got fresh drinks. Not the best experience 😕

Got the order wrong, no straws, & before going to drive thru sat at the order stall for 15 min with no answer. This was Tuesday night about 9:30 pm. This particular crew was a a mess all the way around. Won’t be back.

I ordered a pretzel dog and they came out saying they didnt have pretzel buns so i got a normal bun, not the problem, but when it came out it was DISGUSTING. It had nacho cheese, a truck of onions, and bacon. Idk, some people may like it, i just cant stand it even with the onions off.

The girl working the drive through was rude & I waited at the window for 10 minutes waiting on a BLT sandwich. When I asked what was talking so long, she said they were really busy (there was no line & only 1 car was behind me). The only thing she was busy doing was talking to her coworkers (which I heard cause the window was open & I heard the story she was sharing). So I ended up late back to work cause talking to her coworkers was more important than taking care of the customers.

So first I ordered 2 rte 44 with extra ice. He came out with 1. Went back to get another one and put the xtra ice in the one. Came out with 2. No extra ice and 1 cup was dripping wet. Over the last six months service and availability has been subpar during the daytime. Was told I had to limit what I wanted to order because they were too busy to take my full order, numerous times they have been out of tea, out of lemonade, and out of other products. Have to yell into intercom because they cannot hear me.

Service was poor, order was placed at patio ordering area, order taker was rude and I was told to take my business somewhere else when I told her that I am the customer and will not be talked to this way. We ended up going down the street to another restaurant where the service and food were great. Not sure how a place can stay in business when its employees don't care about the customers.

And then she proceeded to complain about another employee to a shift manager I believe.. with the drive through window not fully shut.

I used to have a 5 star post but overnight this Sonic has gone down hill. Very sad because it used to be the Best in town. I miss my Girls & great Service, I sat in line with nobody at the windows & 3 cars in front of me for 15 minutes on 6/30/21 & finally left, 3rd time I've said never again. I go to the Sonic on the east side and the food is wonderful. I went to the Sonic on White Lane today and the food was absolutely horrible the fries tasted like they had been sitting there the entire day. The soda was watered down and the chili cheese Coney I had hardly no chili or cheese on it. I'll never go to that Sonic again

We went late, around 9:30 or so in hopes of scoring some of those 1/2 price after 9 shakes. The half price shakes were over, so we ordered slushies. We ordered regular famous slushies, were charged for cream slushies and brought cream slushies. When we asked the car hop after a good 15 minutes to bring us the right slushies, she gave major attitude and stated that she already charged us for the cream slushies and went back in.....20 minutes later she came back out I told her that I didn't care about the money......that I would like my kids to have the slushies they ordered, she took my card refunded the charge overage then disappeared again, we never received the slushies my kids ordered. After sitting in the parking lot for another 15 min or so she came back out (without the slushes) and told us that the slushies were on her when asked about them then disappeared again.....needless to say by this time it was getting close to 10:30....we were hot and tired as it was a good 100 degrees. We left without our slushies......super annoyed at the level of customer service. We visit sonic often......however we won't be going back to this one.

My wife had surgery, so I sent my teenager (17) with my debit card and pin to grab dinner for the family. They wouldn't allow him to use the card so he paid with $100 bill. They wouldn't accept any form of payment and the food went to waste. Had to eat somewhere else. Shameful to waste so much for no reason. 30 people in line and they had no change for $100.

After driving 10 hrs. We were not helped. Our speaker did not work, no one bothered to assist us, they saw mr struggle to try to get assistance to place an order. Out of my vehicle. They did not care about customer service. Never will I stop at that store again. 😒

Disappointed in this visit. Went for milkshakes. Prices nearly doubled since last summer and they got rid of about 2/3's of their flavors. Pineapple was my favorite there, but sadly, they got rid of it.😭

This visit was awful. I understand they were busy and short handed. But 35 minutes for 5 shakes, all the same flavor! We ordered at 10pm in the drive thru, we were told to park and they would bring them out. 10 minutes later we get the wrong order brought out to us. Sent them back. Watched as food, drinks and SHAKES were handed out the window. Then they come to our car with shakes and apologize for the wait. When asked who those shakes belonged to she pointed to a car that parked at a speaker after we ordered. So another 15 to 20 minutes passed and our shakes were brought out. With an apology again and we were told they did the best they could. The best would have been to stop make the shakes that were ordered first walk them out and apologize. Once home they weren't the right flavor. Again i understand things happen, i did spend 15 years working in fast food 7 of those years as a manager. I would have stopped and made them myself when i realized there was a customer waiting so long.

Don't know what happened to the place, waited 10min at the speaker for someone to take our order, pulled up to the window to see/hear workers messing around and smacking each other with a towel. Paid and was asked to pull over to a parking spot to wait for our food, waited an additional 15 minutes for our food to be brought to us. This Sonic used to be pretty good, dunno what happened to it.

Went to this location for breakfast while getting my car worked on. It was in walking distance, so that was great. However, it is the dirtiest place, to eat, that I have even seen. Trash cans over flowing, shoes left on the benches and don't get me started on the bathroom. I'm sure it's a health violation. Someone should call the health department. I would be embarrassed to work there! Shame on you Sonic for allowing your name on this building!!!

The lady in the drive-thru immediately had an attitude. She kept saying she couldn’t hear us and when we spoke even louder, her attitude got worse!! We didn’t even order, we just left. I’ll never go back to this location.

The outside of this place is filthy. The dive thru area including the wall under the window does wonders for your appetite. The concrete is nasty the trash was all over including around the trash can. This all should have been cleaned up ahead of opening. They obviously have not heard of a broom or a pressure washer and definitely not a paint brush. I can't imagine how the inside looks if the outside is that bad. I ordered a route 44 easy ice and when I get it 90% full of ice.

Had bad service and waited about 30 min for cold food, the lady didn't give me a receipt and only 5 ketchup packets for 3 orders of fries and 1 order of tots, I also asked for sauces for the chicken and cheese sticks and when she brought the wrong ones she seemed bothered I told her it's not what I asked for, I didn't get a receipt and one of the burgers was made any wrong, I'd give no stars if I could, especially after bad experience on a almost $70 order

Pretty much the worst ever. Manager took 15 minutes to ever take our card. Then another 10 to get us our order. We only had two shakes....and the one of the shakes was 50 percent whipped cream. Even though this place is like 1 minute from our house, we wont be coming back.

This sonic is HORRIBLE ! Yesterday my husband went through the drive through ordered a route 44 just ice with “packed ice “ and a medium lemonade he gave them 20 dollars the price was 5.82 which I think was calculated wrong ! The cashier gave him 2 dollars back ! Out of 20 🤦🏾‍♀️

My first time being here at sonic and I was waiting there for someone to take my order after pushing the red button. 10 min and nothing. I seen cars passing by and I’m wondering why my order is still not taken. I go around and see the drive thru area and I’m like these workers seen me there waiting & waiting! Didn’t even bother to let me know they weren’t doing car orders! Smh! And they still messed up on my order and didn’t give me my kids juice. Horrible!

They were rude and took over 5 minutes before they came to the screen to take our order. When I started to order they didn't know what stall I was in and stated they couldn't hear me. In the end, we didn't get our food, we left and we believe the people in the next stall got our food. We will never go to this sonic again. Just plain horrible.

Avoid this Sonic. Other locations are 100% better!! Rude service, slow service, went in last night for dessert with my kids. From start to finish was there for nearly 40 minutes and left with a canceled order and no dessert. These employees definitely need a lesson in customer service, cleanliness, and work ethic! Very disappointed! If their were a zero star button that it what I would be choosing.

This specific Sonic has lost our business as of today! I've gone there on many occasions, mostly to get their drinks. Out of 10 times that I've ordered the cherry limeade with EXTRA cherries I've received the extra cherries once! I never mind paying extra to get what I order, but I never receive it. Other locations I've gone to always put the extra in when I ask for it. It's not a specific employee at the 6701 White Lane location, it's all of them. I don't understand why they won't do it, but I'm not worried about it anymore. Another location just a bit further up the same road. Unfortunate.

What ever you do don't come to this Sonics we waited 10 mins in the line at the speaker no one helped us. We then drove up to the kiosk we then ordered 2 drinks and 1 popcorn chicken which to an additional 30 min finally we had to get off and beg for our order!

Was excited to try this place for the first time while visiting Bakersfield and service and food were horrible. I contemplated leaving after I drove up to order due to the appearance of the restaurant. I regret wasting my money, which was overly price for terrible frozen food.

Please BEWARE of this location. I ordered a chicken sandwich and as I was in the middle of eating it, I realized the chicken was still raw. Make sure to always check that the food you eat is fully cooked. I took it back and they didn’t even apologize for the undercooked meat they had served me. They took the sandwich away and disposed of it and gave me a refund. Really disappointed with Sonic. I will not be returning.

The guy told us it would be right out...we wIted over 15 minutes for a shake and mozzarella fries.when went in to complain the young girl laughed at us. The manager argued with me rarionalizing with me why it was ok. Did not try to make it right when i asked if my parents who have been waiting could get a soda please...but the older lady in the back with the lighter hair that told the younger girl who laughed at us to stop...she was cool bcz it seemed like she actually cared. Thank you to her she gets 5 stars..the manager did come out to apologized ...but the young girl was very disrespectful. I worked fast food where the customer was always right and if they had to to wait a long time they were given something to make it right. Especially if two elder people had to wait a long time for an order and they had to wait tired and thirsty...that is WRONG. I WILL NOT BE COMING HERE AGAIN EVER...

I ordered an m&m ice cream and they gave me a peanut butter ice cream. They never repeated my order back to me or gave me a receipt. I told them the order was wrong and all they said was i can't change my mind but can charge me for another ice cream.

I ordered two large strawberry shakes on the app. Pulled up the the Drive thru around 950 pm. The guy tells me pull up to the stalls and check in with the app. I go to check in.... What do you know your app is not working... I go back to drive thru the team member now ignores me. I can't even cancel my order. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. I PAID FOR SOMETHING YOUR LOCATION WOULDNT EVEN FULFILL. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE.

My boyfriend and I placed a pick up order on the app on Thanksgiving 2025 the app didn’t mention anything about the restaurant being closed, I even tried calling the restaurant which doesn’t seem to have a working phone number, so we went to go pick up our orders and it was completely closed. I just don’t understand how the app let us place orders for pick up without informing us that the restaurant was closed. Really really really inconvenient, a waste of gas, time and money, we still haven’t received our refunds.

Went to this location like I ALWAYS do, for a drink. One drink, yes again one drink. It was not raining at the time anymore, I have video to prove in case they tell their manager it was. I drive up to the order taker, checked in, my drink never came, until I pressed the button they told me to come to the window and pick it up. So I did, asked what size that was since I thought it was the wrong size, the black man who was at the window said “it’s what you ordered” I asked again, he replied the same am closed the window, lie I’m the one who did something wrong here. My drink had been sitting there getting watered down and that’s exactly what it tasted like. I will not be back to this location, you lost a loyal customer as I live closer to this location than any other one. Disgusting people and service. Do better, and if that was some kind of supervisor, good luck with that. If the issue was it was raining, it wasn’t, they are just lazy.

Ordered 2 drinks and a sandwich near 11:30 pm, waited 20 minutes for 2 drinks to be poured, okay its not like it was busy but I didnt mind waiting. An African American guy comes to deliver the drinks he seemed nice (at least we thought). we got our drinks, cool but its obvious my blueberry lavender lemonade was just lemonade, so we ring the buzzer "hey one of our drinks were wrong" he replies "what drink" we reply "the blueberry lavender lemonade" he says "thats what you got" and hung up? Ummm idk if its because ur pushing 40 and ur eyesight might be off but no it isnt what we got. So we buzz again and this time he ignores us. Its 11:50 im pretty sure you guys are supposed to work till close and even then it isnt our fault you took 20 minutes to make 2 easy drinks and heat a sandwich... so step outside to let them know our drink was wrong, it isnt even about the drink being wrong atp its just the sheer disrespect after we politely let them know that one of our drinks were wrong and we just wanted it remade, not so hard of an ask. Anyways idk if it was the manager but she was pretty large like very and wore a collared red shirt and through the glass said "were closed" ??? Yea you oversized cranberry you close in 10 minutes what is wrong with yall it wasn't even busy to be acting like this how are yall mad for doing a sub par job at ur sonic position?? What a professional crew you hired sonic working at this location, I'd hope you take action and do something to these terrible workers that was disgraceful

Terrible customer service. Didn't mind the 15 minute wait and sat patiently until it was our turn. Once we drove up to order we ordered one of our drinks and were told our total and to pull forward. We mentioned that we did have another item to order and were ignored and avoided. Disappointed and will not be coming back to this location again. Cant even review the drinks when we couldn’t do the first step which is ordering it ..

I ordered on Sonic mobil app. I show up to Sonic pull up to drive thru and waited for 15 minutes just to get to speaker. They tell me my order is ready pull out of drive thru and pull up on stall and we will take your order out to you right now. I do that another 15 minutes pass so I pull back up to the drive thru window. They completely forgot about me so I just canceled my order never go back there again. People working drive was worthless

I went to order at stall number 3 today and a lady took my order and then 15 mins later a car that was next to me came and left by then. And so I go back to the speaker and wait for them to come to it and they said they never got my order. The other car that was next to me never got her order either she was mad about it. Then they continue to ask if I wanted to order again why so I could wait even longer.

It took 3 people at the window, me telling each of them my mobile order via name, a total dollar amount to the penny of the order total, an explanation of what the items purchased were just to pick up my order (after the 3rd employee). And they did not like the fact that I seemed to be inconveniencing them somehow because I didn't have the app to show reciept....I gave a name and a total dollar amount, along with a description of the items, can't you put 2 and 2 together? And then of course there weren't any drink carriers available. Very, very bizarre encounter and I've always been weary of the night crew, this seals the deal I'd rather go to the location on rosedale if I really want Sonic.

We came down here for a family visit and decided to stop here for some some delicious drinks before heading back home. But even though we ordered through the app they made us get out of the line and get it through the stalls with literally being only two drinks. After getting the order this turned out to be the “strawberry” drink. I rather continue going to the one back home in Palmdale. The service, the food, everything down there is way better and way worth it than this place!

Today's visit was the worst ever! I usually love their milkshakes, but the people working today acted like neither of them had ever made one before (we had a different person make them the 2nd time). The 1st shakes were watery and NO flavor, plus didnt give me a receipt. The 2nd time they were barely thicker and had just a little flavor. She said the ice cream was runny, but wouldn't give me my money back because they never gave me a receipt in the first place. GEEZ! Even after I got home, I put my shake in the freezer. 3 1/2 hrs later I expected it to be frozen. Nope! Not funny anymore, but still very very soft.
