From the moment we sat down, she treated us like royalty. Not once did we feel like an inconvenience. Her energy was warm, welcoming, and attentive, even at the end of a long shift. The food? Incredible, as always. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. But honestly, it was Nat who made the experience unforgettable. She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and never made us feel rushed. That kind of service is rare. Sushi Masa has always been a favorite—but Nat made this visit something special. We’ll definitely be back (and hoping she’s our server again!).

Spacious restaurant with a very large menu and several lunch specials. They have sushi, sashimi, hibachi, and noodle dishes with a large vegetarian selection. Our server Tommy/Thomas was the best. He was quick, kept our drinks full and helped with the menu. Tommy was super sweet. I'll be sure to ask for him next time I come.

I enjoyed my first visit to Sushi Masa. The daytime lunch menu, which ends at 2:30 PM, is reasonably priced for what you receive. I typically only do some-you-can-eat menus because I get full too fast, and it's not worth the money. This pricing is a perfect ballpark for me. You can see in the pictures what I ordered, and each entrée was delicious. My server, Dylan, answered my questions about the all-you-can-eat section of the menu. There are also some rules printed on the menu about this section. Follow the rules, or your pricing will increase. He suggested some entrées that were his favorites, so I tried one. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and a very open feeling. They have done an excellent job with the decor. While the dinner pricing at Sushi Masa goes up a few bucks, it's worth noting that the menu also expands with extra offerings not available during lunch. This variety adds value to the dining experience, making it a great option for those looking for a more extensive meal. I am looking forward to revisiting them!

If you’re a sushi lover and want to try new rolls, this is the place! We recommend Sushi Masa in Beaumont, TX! The entire place is so aesthetically pleasing with beautiful decor and light music, perfect for a lunch date, family dinner, and even special occasions like prom! The staff is so welcoming and kind they really take pride in their restaurant. The service is top-notch, drinks are kept full, if you all order the All-you-can-eat option you are able to share rolls and appetizers. And they keep them comin’! Some of our favorites are the spicy kani salad, gyoza, rainbow rolls, miso soup, crunch rolls, salmon sushi, teriyaki chicken and fried rice, and green tea ice cream. But take your time and read through the menu and find the right rolls for you! There are plenty of options. Ten out of ten, highly recommend!

Incredible time with my sister! We were served by Aaron, and he has the patience of a Saint, with the knowledge of Dumbledore. Always smiling, always checking in on us, interactions but didn't let my talkative sister keep him from doing his job by assisting others. 10/10 will ask for Aaron every time. Oh! Also. Sushi Masa upped it's sushi game from the last time we visited. The food tasted better and we rolled out of there very happily stuffed. No complaints!

The service here was absolutely excellent and our waitress Catherine was super friendly, punctual, and was sure to help us with any request we needed. We had the Masa roll, and the double spicy roll and both were excellent! We also ordered the chicken and shrimp teriyaki, and the hibachi chicken and scallops which were equally as excellent and received a lot of food for the price. Would recommend this place for sure!

Me and my husband went for our anniversary and yes we had a 15 minute wait but that's because it was new years. But we ordered our food (which was entirely fresh!!) and within 5 minutes of ordering we had our at our table. Our server mia was absolutely wonderful!! Loved her and her attitude. I had the takoyaki (fried octopus balls), eel roll and salmon roll. My husband had the steak and shrimp teriyaki. It was an absolutely wonderful first experience here at sushi masa. Will definitely try our best to come back.

I have visited 3 times now in 2 weeks. I am a huge fan! Atmosphere, music, service, food is all perfect! My daughter and hubs are fans too! So glad they came to Beaumont! The All you can eat Lunch is an amazing deal if you are a fan of trying a bunch of different things. My ONLY suggestion is that I think they should offer half rolls for the lunch menu. Otherwise, I have zero complaints!!!

We had Kayla for our waitress, and wow- she was delightful! We came in late after a road trip, and despite us being closer to closing than we would have liked, she rallied. Gave us great energy, great menu recommendations, and was the perfect energy to end the night with. Yummy cocktails, too!!!

Tommy served my partner, friends and I today. He was incredibly friendly and outgoing; cracking jokes, using informal and friendly language and having a laugh with us while still getting his job done not only by getting our food out quickly but answering any questions, refilling drinks before we even realised they were empty, taking all bits of trash the moment we used things and plates away as well as being quick to take our orders after each roll (we got all you can eat). He was well groomed and had a lot of originality.

We had a great experience at Sushi Masa, and a big part of that was the outstanding service from Kayla. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu. The only place that I go to eat sushi is Sushi Masa. Everything is spot on. Very fresh and well-made. The variety is incredible even during the all-you-can-eat lunch. The cost of $20.98 for the all-you-can-eat lunch is a bargain. That includes not only all the sushi you can eat but also your drink and dessert. Today, our server was Lynn. She did a fantastic job taking care of us. She was very attentive on top of everything. Our drinks never went empty; she made sure we were well supplied with sushi, and on top of that, Lynn was pleasant and treated us very politely. She mentioned, as we were leaving, that she was pretty new to the job. The way she waited on us today, she seemed like she had worked there a long time. In all the times I've eaten there, I have never been disappointed.

My husband and I have already visited this location 10+ times between the two of us, together and separately. We first learned of Sushi masa from their spring location and when Beaumonts location opened we were so excited! I can say with certainty that Birdie and Kaylee are two A+ servers. Drue is also a really good server and any of these three employees will take care of you during your visit. My last visit, I had Lauren and she initially grunted and rolled her eyes when told that she would be taking my daughter & I in her section. She was forgetful but I chose not to care that much because after our initial encounter she was sweet. To end things she made me extremely uncomfortable as she stood and watched me count my money out to pay my bill. I even looked at her and she said “what?” Then I said “nothing, I’m just counting my money” and then she walked off. Definitely don’t want her again. Overall we love this location. Bryant was the best person to send to train everyone. He did an exceptional job and we will have to come visit him again at his Spring location.

Great portions and all you can eat sushi is available. Ordered a medium rare steak and chicken. Both were cooked perfectly. No complaints and will be back. Also they have fried oreos. Won't regret it except for maybe eating too much.

We love sushi, and I had 5 different rolls they was all great I didn't have any issues. As far as style and decor its excellent:) its a great change from the past, the layout change is great as well, it was clean, the food came out quick, and service was adequate, we will defiantly be back.

Birdie is an amazing waiter. He takes the time to talk and discuss the food and options and is always so pleasant. I would also like to think the 1 food run who actually cleared empty plates as well. I didn't catch his name, but he was the 6' 5" gentleman. The food is great and comes out quickly. The only negative we had was that the chicken of the hibachi menu was dry and had the texture of precooked food.

Having bad social anxiety really sucks. I asked our server if it was possible to move away from the party tables cause they were too loud and he ignored me and my fiance most of the visit. I do understand that our server had party tables but my food didn’t get put in until after my fiancé’s came out. Our drinks sat empty for over 10-15 minutes. Try not to overload your servers. There was others standing around trying to help him out. If something like this happens it’s just best to past the next table on not give it to an overwhelmed server. We won’t be back to this location. Also having kids run up to our table and try to steal our food.. people need to have better eyes in this restaurant. He already had one plate of the ayce sushi. Parking was horrible, had to drive around the building 4 times just to find a spot and almost got hit when parking and also walking into the restaurant.

Just to remind you, I am Japanese who were born and raised in Japan, so I’m picky about Japanese food. The inside of restaurant looked amazing! Very clean, luxurious open space with welcoming staff. Our waitress was super friendly and nice. My mom ordered chirashi sushi, which came in a totally different look… Sashimi was way too tick cut, and sushi rice was also off. My shrimp and vegetable tempura was okay, but the way they buttered the shrimp was not the way we do tempura. Hibachi meal are hibachi meal, not many place can mess that up. Although service was awesome, food was not what we expected. I just hope that people don’t think this is an authentic Japanese food.

Our server was very sweet but the sushi is very mid. We ordered 4 different rolls, they all taste like mayo and artificial crab. No fresh vegetables, no pickle ginger, no green onion, nothing to give it any freshness and wasabi not included(had to pay a dollar extra for a serving). Just not up to par with other sushi spots in Houston.

This used to be our favorite restaurant, which makes this especially disappointing to write. This past Sunday we decided to take our daughter there for her 19th birthday. She had never been before, and we were really looking forward to her having a great birthday lunch. Unfortunately, that quickly changed. The service has been subpar the last few visits, and this time was no different. We had to constantly remind our server about items he forgot, and our food took about 45 minutes to come out for a simple noodle dish. The restaurant was not busy at all, so the wait was confusing and frustrating. Our server also came across as if he didn’t want to be there, which made the experience feel even more uncomfortable. On top of that, it was freezing inside. It’s always cold in there, even when it’s already cold outside, but this time it was to the point that people were taking off their jackets to give to elderly guests and babies. It just made the whole experience unpleasant. We truly used to love coming here, which is why this is so disappointing. We hope things improve, but this visit definitely did not meet our expectations especially for a special birthday lunch.

My recent visit to Sushi Masa was deeply disappointing. While the price point of $32 for All-You-Can-Eat seems fair on the surface, the actual experience was a complete waste of money due to a massive lack of menu knowledge and assistance from the staff. I have a strong aversion to mayonnaise, and I quickly discovered that roughly 80% of the menu is smothered in it. From the specialty rolls down to the ginger salad dressing, mayo is the primary ingredient. When I asked for help navigating the menu, the breakdown in service was clear: Inept Service: Our server was as nice as could be, but they were completely uninformed about the ingredients. They were unable to point out which items were safe to eat or suggest modifications. Dismissive Management: Before writing this, I reached out to the manager to discuss the issue. Instead of offering solutions or showing interest in guest satisfaction, she simply said, "Oh yeah, a lot of our stuff has mayonnaise." There was zero effort to assist me in finding a single dish I could enjoy. Because no one could—or would—help me navigate the menu, I ended up paying $32 to eat basic tempura appetizers. It is frustrating to visit a restaurant where the staff is "nice" but lacks the basic professional knowledge to help a guest eat a meal. This was our second time here, and after being treated like an afterthought by management, it will certainly be our last. If you have any specific dietary needs or dislikes, stay away—the staff is not equipped to help you.

Today (7/14/25) the Beaumont Public Heath Score is 81/B. I really hope they can bring their score back up to at least 95. Until then, I can’t support. First time. Well pleased. Our server, Keston, was professional and courteous. It's worth another visit.

TWICE we have arrived before four o'clock and five o'clock to eat on two different occasions, on a Saturday, only to be told it would be a twenty-to-thirty-minute wait. LOTS of empty tables and booths. Last time I did not ask why, we just left. Went to Riverside Grill where we never have any issues. This time Saturday, January 17, 2026, I called. States online, you could make reservation by calling or online. Would not let me make reservation online, so I called. During phone conversation, I am told, cannot take a reservation for two, has to be a larger party! Asked if they were busy and told no. SO we left UPS store on Dowlen and arrived in seven minutes. Walked in the door @4PM. Told it would be a twenty-to-thirty-minute wait! AGAIN, plenty of tables and booths empty. I asked why the long wait. Young guy stated shift change. Three people @ desk but not enough servers on the floor on a wknd/Saturday? Do not have these issues when we eat @ Houston/Spring or College Station locations. This place WAS great place for a wknd meal with great customer service, fast seating and great food when it opened. It seems it has started on the decline in these categories. Employees can make or break a restaurant. My own personal experience. Management needs to be on top of this situation and also the online statement about reservations needs to be clarified. Need to do better! Please!
