Honestly -- this place is a second home. The best ColdBrew that will keep your conversations live and keep you workin. The food is delicious -- from my favorite Hummus & Avocado to the Taco Trio <3. Abe and his sisters - Patricia + MariCruz make this place feel like home -- like how your neighborhood cafe is suppose to feel like -- personal and welcoming :)

Don't let the no frills atmosphere fool you; Abe's is amazing. The coffee and service was fantastic. Also, do yourself a favor and get more than one empanada and enjoy the flavor and salsa. Prices were reasonable by Berkeley standards.

Truly excellent smoothies, you could really feel the fruit in your mouth! Just like in Mexico (and even better than that). Cool Spanish music

Healthy fresh food served efficiently. Convenient location near campus. All day breakfast. Has small, often crowded sidewalk seating in addition to a few indoor tables.

Grabbed a special croissant without the bacon before an exam. I couldn’t even finish it all before because it was so big. The flavors, ingredients, and portions were fantastic. The croissant was flaky and soft. Everything inside it was delicious. I’m not a fan of arugula so I always love when I’m able to eat and enjoy it in ways I’ve never tried :)

Best capese sandwich I’ve had in a while. The bread is delicious!!! Great service too. Will be back!

Got a chicken empanada and a pecan swirl. As Prue Leith from GBBO would say, “worth all the calories.” The empanada was properly seasoned, doesn’t feel heavy. Perfect for breakfast. The star of the show is the pecan swirl, however. The best flaky, buttery pastry I had so far. Perfect level of sweetness. I should’ve taken Abe’s suggestion to have some coffee or tea. Definitely trying, the next time. :) Going to Abe’s in the morning is definitely going to set your mood for the day.

Good people, good food. Had the daily special croissant sandwich. Incredibly fresh and packing with flavor. Eating here is a must and the cold brew was smooth and everything you’d want it to be.

My favorite place to eat near campus. Abe and his staff are incredibly friendly and make delicious food. Give the taco trio or the steak and cheese sandwich and you’ll see what I mean. Also, try their unique Mexican hot chocolate. This place definitely earns the essentially five star rating.

This should tell you all you need to know - yesterday at lunch Abe's was packed, even though it's summer at UC Berkeley. The other restaurants on Euclid looked somewhat empty. The food is great - fresh, flavorful and reasonable. The service is outstanding. My department also used Abe's for catering and we were very happy with the order and the excellent communication.

Fresh juices are delicious 😋 . Good cafe latte... did not eat but menu looked good and lot of folks were there for breakfast. Kind people. Good service. Free WIFI. And also quiet low key spot, off busy street on Euclid (by Hearst). Recommended

Good food, but better service! Abe owns and operates the place himself, and truly enjoys what he does. He knows many of his customers by name, always gives a couple juice drinks to the garbage men when they come by, and really does an A+ job of making people feel welcome.

Abe's cafe is my favorite cafe around campus. Abe and his sisters make for great conversation, and genuinely care for their customers. Their veggie burrito is to die for. Excellent is every regard, this place has my highest recommendation.

Food is beyond amazing. Prices are great and Abe is one of the kindest human beings you will encounter. He always ask how each of its customer is doing and genuinely cares about them. A must go if in Berkeley 10/10

Friendly neighborhood place, the Good Morning Yogurt bowl, with granola, banana and fresh berries is terrific. It was almost enough to get me to move to Berkeley!

Abe is I a great man and his cafe is up to his standard! Thanks to his sister Patricia and MariCruz (who work Mon non stop behind the scene) they have great food, good quantity and good quality. They also have the best espresso in town (I am from the south of italy) and all other Italians on campus they know and most of them come here. The service is great! Over three months I have had every lunch at abe's and he has sufficient variety in his menu to make you happy all the time. HE CARES and he has passion for what he does. HE puts effort and you are rewarded for that so that he can be rewarded in turn. Will miss this guy in few weeks when I'll leave Berkeley. Come here and bring your friends! Mitico! Salvatore

Just a nice place to grab a coffee, or sandwich, or even a plate of chile verde. Delicious, consistent, and friendly, Abe's is one of the best.

This place is incredible for many reasons: Abe and his staff are the friendliest people, there is always a nice cozy atmosphere, the food is great and so is the coffee. A coffee break at Abe’s is always a great time.

I work at Stanford and went to school at Berkeley. I can safely say that this is easily one of the best coffee places in the Bay Area. And the service is as good as it can be. One of my favorite places!

Not a lot of sitting space, but most things are okay to order to go. Some daily specials are especially worthy of consideration, like this green chili pork sandwich here.

This place is quite legit since menus here are quite tasty. I have not visited this place that much to be honest but I really enjoyed sandwiches I ordered and tried so far: Carnitas sandwich and steak cheese one. Just one thing to note is, I could feel a bit of smell of pork in the carnitas but I was totally fine with it. But it might bother some of you who are not familiar with that kind of smell so I would like to tell you to beware. Cheese steak was fine. I was worried at a glance when I was served this dish since the bread seemed very hard. It was much softer than I was worried though. Very enjoyable and I'm willing to visit here again. If you think the stuffed INN is a bit too light for your meal but you still wanna grab some sandwich then this is the right place you've gotta try. I would give them 4.3 stars.

A Bagel Letdown: Abe's Cafe 3 Star Disappointment This place had the potential for a breakfast win, but sadly, it fell flat in most areas. Let's get this out of the way first: the atmosphere is, well, lacking. It feels more like a forgotten corner than a vibrant breakfast spot. Service wasn't much better - think disinterested and impersonal. Now, onto the main event: the food. With high hopes, I dove into their bagel with eggs. Unfortunately, the bagel itself was a major disappointment. Small and underwhelming, it lacked the satisfying heft you crave in a good breakfast bagel. To make matters worse, it wasn't even toasted properly, leaving me with a mouthful of doughy disappointment. The price point for this underwhelming experience? Shockingly high. For what I got, I could have had a far superior breakfast elsewhere. Unless you're desperate and have low expectations, I'd recommend steering clear. There are much better bagel and egg options out there that won't leave you feeling ripped off.

Typical near campus cafe. Coffee was okay. Staff is a touch condescending. Lots of places to get coffee and a quick breakfast near campus. This is one of those places.

The staff is nice, but my drink had a dead fly in it. I had ordered a matcha to go and was halfway done drinking when I felt it and spat it out D:
