Not your average American Chinese food. Dumplings are made with fresh pastry and filled with soup. Delicious!

Way superior to our normal Din Tai Fung fare. Tastier, better texture noodles and dumpling dough, less frenetic, very efficient, and relatively affordable. Loved it, will come back.

The texture of the noodles was wonderful. Better than any other Chinese noodles in Berkeley. The meat portions were also huge. The largest portions per price that ive eaten in Berkeley so far. very worth it to go!

Atmosphere gets 3 stars for the extremely loud beeping alarm that went off every 10 minutes.

Food is incredible. I got the nourishing lamb noodle soup. Definitely felt nourished after that. Excited to try the other dishes here.

We only had takeout from here so far, but it was so good!! I've been going to Lanzhou almost every year for a decade (for work), and it all tasted like I could be in Lanzhou eating noodles. I'm very excited to eat here again. We had the beef noodle soup, big plate chicken, and cold skin noodles.

This place will always have a line, but it was worth it. The soup dumplings are on par with Dumpling Home in SF. Their hand pulled noodles are top tier! The fried dumplings are packed with flavor. You will leave this place with a happy belly. Service was a little slow because I think they might be a bit understaffed, but that might get better over time since they only just opened. The food is worth the wait! Looking forward to going again!

Fresh hand made noodles but average soup. Usually with Lanzhou noodles the broth is quite light and the highlight is the sweetness of the clear broth. I found this broth to be quite heavy but not enough flavor. Maybe I’d come back to try their other noodle dishes.

Only authentic Chinese restraunt in Northside. The braised beef noodles were not bad.

Wish they had more veggie noodles. That said the one vegetarian noodle they have (the cold skin noodles) are amazing! Perfect texture.

Great noodles and generous portion sizes! The beef noodle soup was a little bit lacking in flavor, but still good.

I would like to see a vegetarian noodle soup.... the veggie sides are good and there is a veggie dry noodle option but no veg noodle soup choice. Noodle Dynasty has a fantastic veggie noodle soup option so I will be going there instead still, but the LanZhou noodles themselves have better texture so I would prefer to go to LanZhou if they had a veggie option! My friends who had the beef and fish noodle soups liked them a lot.

I got the pickled cabbage and fish soup. Taste was alright but the proportions were off. Hardly any pickled cabbage. Also so many noodles that they piled up well above the broth. I much prefer Noodle Dynasty for this dish.

The noodles were okay. However, the cleanliness of the water cups was a major issue. I noticed visible water stains along the inside walls of the cup, and even worse, there was a layer of red oil settled at the bottom of the water. It was pretty off-putting and made me question the overall hygiene standards of the restaurant. Definitely something they need to address urgently.

排骨面不要点、一股猪肉腥臊味，吃完要吐了🤮整个面汤，面条还有菜都浸入腥味了，把排骨全挑出去剩下勉强能吃几口。最近的一个戴眼镜的男服务员态度真的很奇怪，进门不打招呼不领位，全程吃饭没有问一下、结帐也不问打包盒，进门吃饭到走他一句话没说，结小费还盯着屏幕一直看…这将是最后一次来吃。差评

It’s not authentic at all. The soup of this Lanzhou beef noodles doesn’t taste like bone broth at all it tastes like plain boiled water with a bit of salt added.
