Must go!!! 100 stars!!!! Pizza Neapolitan just like in Italy, we visited recently!!! Just LOVE it and pleasantly surprised Fresno has this hidden gem😊 so excited!!!

We stopped here to get some beer and food before a flight out of Fresno. We really enjoyed all the beers we tried and the pizza was outstanding. The crust was perfect. The bartenders were all very friendly as well. I would be back all the time if I lived in the area.

Neat a place , I'm nIt from fresno but it's in the " mural district" ? Anyway they fixed it up nices good food especially the pizza , beers are select and also good also dog freindly

Walked in and was greeted and served right away. Good beer and pizza and location was mellow. I now have come back a few times and have loved it every time

Seriously delicious pizza and tasty selection of draughts. We went for dinner this past Black Friday and business was a bit slow but that just made the service quicker and when you have a toddler with you that can make all the difference in an outing. Bartenders were friendly and also on it with bringing us all we needed to enjoy our grub.

I had the “Hero of the day”, “Hitch a ride” & “Punk rock red” for drinks. Beers were cold and flavorful. The pizza was also fantastic. We had the Bacon Jalepeño.

Our favorite neighborhood brewery! We have been coming to South of Shaw since their opening, and have enjoyed each and every visit. They have a good selection of different styles of beer on rotation, so it's easy to find a beer for everyone in your group. Also, there are a few guest taps that usually feature a cider, as well as wine if you're not feeling beer that day. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming, and a big part of the reason we have made it our go-to spot. Their pizzas are delicious...we have yet to try a pizza we haven't thoroughly enjoyed. If pizza isn't your thing...the pretzels are amazing as well. It's a family-friendly spot, with some games and a beautiful Sisyphus table that you can easily get lost staring at for way longer than you realize. We love South of Shaw and highly recommend it to everyone for great drinks and a great atmosphere!

This is easily one of the best places around, not just in town. Their beer is top notch and their pizza happens to be one of the best out there. Their hospitality is consistent and more exceptional with each visit. They keep raising the bar on themselves and for the neighborhood around them. I’m glad there’s another true homegrown establishment in Fresno. I’m eager to get back there! Do yourself a favor and try any of their pizzas, their beer, their wine selection, and join the community they welcome daily.

Being from the Chicago area it’s often hard to find pizza that is comparable in quality to what we get at home, this is one of the few places we’ve found that does this. We had the pepperoni and the Fig Jam & Prosciutto and both were excellent! Beer was good as well

My family ALWAYS has the best experience here! The pizzas are the best in the Valley- the dill pickle one is my personal favorite. Lots of great brew options with unique flavors. Love the large cans of beer to go- they fill and seam in real time so beer is as fresh as poured from the tap. A gem in Fresno, we highly recommend you try! Can’t wait to make it to one of their trivia nights or fun events!

Surprised I hadn’t reviewed yet, since we visit South of Shaw nearly every Tuesday (for Trivia night! So much fun!) and sometimes again on the weekends. Ben says “this is the best pizza in Fresno” I agree it is co-best pizza in California (along with my beloved Me n Ed’s). Every pizza we’ve tried has been amazing. We also recently tried their pretzel and caprese salad-both great! Love all the beers we’ve tried as well. I’m so glad we have another awesome brewery downtown and I hope they continue to do great business on Broadway. Cheers!

This is such a great spot. Beer is always excellent and they are always rolling out new options, as well as guest taps. Creative and delicious pizzas. Great decor and music, perfect for chatting with friends and making new ones. The pub has a real neighborhood vibe.

Great brew pub! This place has a killer atmosphere and most importantly GREAT BEER! I have not tried a SoS beer I have not enjoyed! Check these guys out! Local boys, making awesome beer in a great little pub!! Oh, and the pizza is amazing too!!

Wonderful little brewery/ taproom serving delicious pizza! I was pleasantly surprised as I had never tasted their beers before and I feel local breweries can be hit or miss. This one is a home run! I had The Juice a nice hazy IPA and the hubbie had a pale ale with a hint of banana notes (as described by the server). We then shared a Berliner weisse with added blood orange puree, amazing! And I usually shy away from fruity beers. The pizza was great too, and I'm kinda particular about my pizza. The crust was delicious with the perfect amount of charred bits around the outside, I would have liked a little more crispiness on the bottom. We had the Rustico, Jalapeno & Bacon, and Pickle pizzas. The toppings were simple and not overwhelming which I like. They were a little heavy on the cheese for my liking. But the biggest surprise was the pickle pizza! It had a garlicky white sauce, white and yellow cheddar cheese and big slices of pickles like pepperoni. And it just worked! The space was smaller than I expected but the tall ceiling in the rustic building make it feel open. We easily found a table on a Friday night, but I wonder if that will change as people hear about this great spot! It has a relaxed feel, you order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. But a little step up in niceness, from the standard brewery feel.

Great place. They were able to accomodate a large group of us no problem. Pizza was amazing! I think they make their ranch in house and it is one of the best I have ever had. The pickle pizza sounded odd but was delish!! Service was quick. Only reccommendation would be to get fountain sodas instead of canned, but that is my personal preference.

Was passing through Fresno and stopped here for a quick bite to eat. Didnt have any beers, this review is just the pizza. The pizza was so freaking good! Bursting with flavor and the perfect size. Just thinking about it makes me drool. Definitely one of the best pizzas I've ever had. If I am passing through Fresno again, I would stop by again for their pizza.

Good atmosphere, ambiance, and good pizza. Although it's more of a bar than restaurant but Iovely spot downtown. Pizza (or prices) won't blow you away but fun little spot to hang out.

Good atmosphere and service. Felt the pizza was kinda pricey. My husband and I got a veggie and margherita pizza. The crust was good and chewy. The other toppings and sauce were good as well.

This was my first visit to SOS and being a Friday night it was quite busy. We ordered four pizzas the honey chicken, pepperoni, vegetarian and for curiosity's sake the pickle pizza. I liked the Pepperoni the best and the pickle one the least. I hate to say that because I love pickles! I always order extra pickles on my sandwiches, burgers etc...Music was playing and the vibe was upbeat. Only wish there were some greens available to go with the yummy pizza.

Their pizza is 🔥! I love the fresh ingredients, the homemade ranch and the crust is amazing.. The only complaint I have is the beers, ive tried just about all of them. They all seem to taste like I.P.A's And i'm not a fan.

Really good pizza, but strange that they WILL NOT let you add or take off any items. They will actually let you leave vs remove a topping. My friend has a tomato allergy… had to find another place to eat.

Nice bar. Staff was very friendly. Pretzels were decent. Pizzas were very good. Vendor was selling vinyl records to the public and playing throughout the night. Music selection was very good. I never felt cramped. I would return.

Great atmosphere, good beer, and pizza as close as you can get to italian. Had the special Fiori with prosciutto and mushroom and Belgian Tripel beer. The beer was 9% alcohol but was smooth and flavorful.

Awesome brewery , great staff , just not my kind of pizza . Great setting in Downtown Fresno. Ordered the Cheesy Garlic Focaccia and pub pretzel as an appetizer and the Classic Margherita, Pepperoni, and Pepperoni & Olive pizza The apps were middle of the road , pretzel had a good taste . I came for the pizza and overall gave a 5.4 for all three pies. The chassis was very doughy and had massive Fresno Flop . Taste was pretty good, but definitely not what I was hoping for. Again, great staff and looked like a good place to have a frosty beer, just not a great pie..

It was odd to be standing at the counter like I was invisible for a good 5-7 minutes before my order was taken. The pizzas were delicious but took about 30-35 min to come out. There was not enough indoor seating for me and my three guests.This was around 7pm on a weekday.

I came to this new and “hip” spot to try their pizzas and brew.. upon entry not a single seat was found nor was I greeted. Once I was able to grab the bartenders attention I was finally able to buy two beers and a pizza.. it arrived promptly and hot. That should have been my first sign. Unbeknownst to them, I’ve worked in five star Italian and pizza. The timing didn’t match up even for a blast oven. Looking at the pizza it’s was obviously undercooked, still pale in complexion. When pulling a pizza away the entire slice fell apart and dough could be seems dragging on the pan. I asked the “older” gentleman behind the bar if they could blast it for another minute. Simply replied that’s how it comes, we won’t put it back in and I’ll bring you a knife and fork. I attempted to eat this thing and literally the last 1/3 inch of crust was edible. I was obviously upset and asked for a box immediately so I could leave.. they did absolutely nothing to correct the concern or keep me as a patron. Good luck with all of that and then some, you ruined my one night out and my one attempt to try something new.

Tried this place out with the intention of trying to support local businesses, particularly a pizzeria. The dough was not baked enough. Disappointing.

Great pizza, and beer. I’ve been here several times and always forget how bad the experience gets when they’re busy. The lack of customer service is what will keep me from coming back. When it’s crowded, you have to line up for a beer — even if you’re sitting at the bar. I’ve never been to a bar where you have to stand in line while already seated at the bar. That makes no sense. If you’re at a table with an open tab, no one checks on you. Need another drink? Get up and wait in line. Want to close your tab? Get up and wait in line again. It’s frustrating and honestly feels disorganized. Because of that, I didn’t leave a tip. The service wasn’t pleasant, and after essentially getting my own drinks and managing my own table, being met with dirty looks made it worse. Tipping is for service — and there really wasn’t any. Customer service is everything to me, so i have to leave zero stars
