Preguntas frecuentes sobre Limón
Opiniones de Limón Burlingame
It’s a good old school diner for American style breakfast. The restaurant is tucked away far from the busy Burlingame Ave. It looks small from the outside but is actually pretty spacious inside. The food was delicious. We went for the class Eggs Benedict and French toasts with 2 eggs 2 bacon strips. The service was very quick as soon as you ordered. Before that, the staff let you have your time deciding because their menu was quite extensive. The hospitality of the owner and staff were friendly and welcoming.
9/27/25 @ 10:35am. Seating available immediately. Street parking with meter parking or park a few blocks away for free timed street parking. Attentive service. Hard surfaces makes conversation noisy.
Simple setting with great food. The portions are as they should be the “American way”. The service is fast and friendly. The coffee is good. My veg omelette was nicely stuffed with veggies and cheese accompanied with a large amount of roasted potatoes and rye bread. We also ordered Christie’s Skillet which was really well presented and super tasty. Give this place a shot. It is right across the train station in Burlingame on California Dr.
We were in town for a wedding. Came in for breakfast with the family and enjoyed our whole experience. The food came very quickly, and it was delicious. The service was great, we got multiple refills of our drinks and the staff was very friendly
Delicious breakfast with a diner ambiance. You pay the bill at the counter. Like most places oh the weekend it was busy. I had their turkey Benedict and the turkey they used was Delicious. They have outside seating on the sidewalk
This place has been around for a long time, I remember going here once before, maybe like 15 years ago. I'm happy to see that it's still here and survived covid. I just learned this place has been around since the 80s. Way longer than I thought and way before I was born, lol. Walking in this place ll it definitely looks and feels like a homey old school diner. Tanya took my order, and she was super friendly and helpful. She made me feel like I've been going here for so long. She made me feel like family. I ordered: Meat Lover's Skillet (secret menu) - Bottom has hashbrown and then layered with meat and cheese. It looks good and was maybe a little more than I expected. It was cheesy and salty with all the meats. Chicken Fried Steak w/ over medium eggs and home potatoes (gravy on the side) - travels better so it's not soggy. This was super crispy still when I got home. It was delicious. Portions are ginormous and have great service. Can't really ask for more. I can't wait to come back soon and try their other items. Parking wasn't too bad, I like that it's a little bit away from the busy area. It's a little hidden gem.
Awesome breakfast find! Came here from a Google search. Wow! So glad we did. Cute diner ambience. Super friendly and attentive servers. Prompt coffee fill ups! Food was a 10! Huge portions. We enjoyed the American Scramble and Corned Beef Hash. Yum! Will come again.
Solid, very good food and generous portions! It was full of people of all generations when I went and it was loud with all of the people talking to each other. I can definitely see why it is as popular as it is! Menu prices were a good $2 higher menu pictures posted here! At least for the higher priced items. But I’m not complaining. The waitresses were all friendly and attentive. I sat at the counter and could see the chefs preparing food like a well oiled machine and when I got mine, I had to let it cool a little before starting! Fresh off the griddle and delish! I got their Joes Scramble ($16.95) and modified it with cheddar and avocado. The waitress and cooks were accepting of the mods and was attractively presented when it came out to me. I could tell that, even if it was a little chaotic, the waitresses and cooks worked very well with each other. I liked my experience there and plan to return again!
On a road trip stopped to have brunch this place is awesome. Great service and fast reasonable price and excellent food. Hostess and Server Kassie is very welcoming. Highly recommended and will be back. Best Chicken Fried Steak and Gravy.
Stopped by for breakfast. Looks kinda small from the street, but it's bigger than I thought when I went inside. Seated immediately. They menu had a lot to choose from. I decided on the meat lovers special of the day, and my friend decided to get the California omlet. Omg, huge portions at reasonable prices. Much better than Stacks. We both enjoyed our food and good service. We could have ordered one dish and split it.
To get me to come back a second time on vacation is insane. Amazing food, huge portions, good price, service is quick and polite, atmosphere feels homey. Get the home fries, you won't regret it.
Great service. Yummy food. Huge portions. Very consistent. Everything we have tried has been fabulous.
Good comfort food, generous portions. Fast, very attentive service, without hovering. Very busy area, so parking was difficult to find, but well worth it. If in this area again, will definitely revisit!
Huge shout out to Christie’s. This place has that true family owned, tight knit restaurant vibe that’s getting harder and harder to find. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the care and pride behind everything they do. The freshly squeezed orange juice is unreal bright, fresh, and exactly how it should be. And the chicken fried steak… wow. Perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and smothered just right it’s straight fire. This is comfort food done right, the kind that hits every note and leaves you already planning your next visit. The portions are generous, the flavors are spot on, and the quality is consistent. They’re also dog friendly, which makes it an even better neighborhood spot for locals. What really sets Christie’s apart though is the people friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to serve their community. It feels like a place where regulars are family and new faces are treated the same way. If you’re looking for great food, honest flavors, and that classic neighborhood restaurant energy, Christie’s is a gem in Burlingame that absolutely deserves the love.
Had the chicken a la brasa with some yuca! With a pisco sour. Yum! Out of this world! So tender and juicy! The empanadas we also very good.
Food was great, atmosphere was great, service was great. It was a great evening. It was my last night in the San Francisco area and did not expect to have such an outing. Definitely try the arroz con camarones, the pico on it might have a little kick, but well worth it. Make sure to also reserve a table ahead of time. It starts slow but picks up speed throughout the evening. Regardless, great experience and would definitely make time to make a stop when I fly out west again
One of my favorite restaurants. Their food is very good. Amazing. Normally, I order either a whole or half a chicken, a steak, paella, or pork belly chaufa. My favorite drink by far is their pisco sour, but I have also tried lychee sour, passion fruit sour, la clasica margarita, lychee melon and their sangria but my favorite is just the pisco sour. Another good dinner tonight by far what I would consider one of my favorite restaurants. Update: 06/10/2025 Went to my favorite restaurant for dinner tonight. omg. They were so busy today on a weeknight. It shows I wasn’t wrong. Their service, food and drinks is very good. We ordered: Parilla platter, paella and pork belly chaufa. Omg . So good. For drinks we ordered the regular pisco sour. Today on my pisco sour I had a happy face on my pisco sour for happy hour from the bartender. :) Updated: 07/29/2025 Wanted to eat at one of my favorite locations: as usual, the location was busy but we were always well taken care of, by entire Limon staff as usual. We ordered: Parilla platter, Entire fried Fish with sauce on the side, Pork Belly Chaufa and Jalea. For drinks: Pisco Sour. Omg. By far, one of the best pisco sour in the entire Bay Area. My personal opinion of course. I will be back soon. :)
The food was like "bouquets" of seafood, the way they plattered it. I've had amazing seafood, but the seafood dishes we had at Limón were extraordinary! The color pops in the food presentation were just as vibrant as the Peruvian culture itself. Some of those dishes were enough for two. The combo appetizer alone could've been a meal. Plus their cocktails - whoa! Can I call them healthy? Ahaaaha, well their mocktails certainly were. We had wonderful service by informative waiters. The feel is what I'd call elegant casual. All the decor on their walls and tiling around their bar area are beautiful! Limón in Burlingame is well-located in a corner with entrances on both facing streets. It's right behind a parking lot and directly across additional parking closer to the water. A good amount of indoor and outdoor seating is accessible. This area is hoppin'! Surrounded by local specialty shops, more restaurants, and bakeries - anyone living in the neighboring residential streets are mighty lucky! I am giddy over this dining experience!
Pretty much everything on the menu is quality food. I ended up getting the ribeye with jumbo garlic shrimp, and the shrimp ceviche. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and the shrimp came off the tails easily. The ceviche was delicious, they use whole shrimp, not diced like other places normally do as well as fresh fish. All in all I would rate the food a solid 9.3 out of 10 I only took away points based on the appetizers(fries were ehh, and yuca came plain) one other small detail is that the chips do come separate so order that on the side for the ceviche if you want them with chips. The ribeye does come with potatoes which were also very delicious.
Great customer service, explain us the menu give us options, since I have allergies is very important to me when they ask me and tell me if we can cross contamination they took care Of me, delicious food well serve and well presented, also order a rotisserie chicken but forgot to take a picture.
First time eating at this place was the atmosphere, which was ok, nice staff, servers are attentive, be sure to come early and reserve your table. We came at 11am and it's getting crowded around 12:15 to 12:30. The bathroom was clean, not smelly. The food was tasty and delicious. I ordered the pork belly and looks like chow fun fried rice I was curious about this food it was really good, but if I will make it I rather have Filipino adobo pork belly, which is soft and tender instead of fried pork. The pork was cut thinly. I rather have 1 inch thick fried pork not thinly slices, sorry. The beef empanada is good. Potato fries dip in a sauce it was ok. Chicken is soft and tender.
One of the best restaurants i have been to. The food is so well prepared and the waiter was super professional and friendly. I have to recommend the beef tongue which was heaven! Other dishes were all great too, delicious and good looking. The platter is quite expensive. I would skip that next time

This is a good restaurant serving Central American cuisine that's a bit heavy on the seafood. That's ok for most people but I have a seafood allergy. Nevertheless, I took my niece there (this was…
Cutie little dinner, the service was really amazing! I had chicken and waffle it was really delicious unfortunately the batter is a little sweet which I’m not a fan of. The country steak was yummy 😋 hot chocolate was perfect! I can say that I would come back to try other things in the menu!
Breakfast was pretty good, coffee was great and service from our waitress (nice blonde lady, the other lady, brunette, wasn't quite as warm and friendly.) I should have gotten the chicken fried steak, which is what brought me to Christie's in the first place, but failed. I got the new York steak, and it was a pretty low grade and was over cooked for medium, but still tasted okay, was edible for sure.
I've been going to this diner for quite a while and I always enjoy the friendliness, atmosphere, and the service. It's sort of tradional for me and my wife to return off and on! But lately I've noticed thier prices keep climbing higher and higher!! We came by Mon morning and ordered two breakfast! The quantity is less, and $60.00 ( plus 15%) tip is very expensive! They have not updated thier menu prices on the net, and each dish was $20.00 plus!! I can remember when it was more reasonable at around $ 14.00 or something of this nature. The next time we think of going here, I'm going to think twice. Getting two costly for eggs, toast, and cheese on a plate!
Been to a couple locations of Limon now and their all decent. Ordered takeout this time and requested for no added salt. Order was ready in 20 mins Lomo saltado $34 was ok, one of the most popular Peruvian dishes, but I find it basic. Like a stir fry dish. Steak is good quality, but portion was a bit small Arroz con mariscos $34 is good, but a bit salty. Quality seafood and a generous portion. Similar to a paella Half chicken $24 was decent and great value for the amount of food. Comes with a choice of 2 sides. We chose a salad and fries. Breast meat was dry, but all the other pieces were good. Great flavor and seasoning. Salad and fries were basic Empanada sampler $24 was good. I believe it's the fried kind. Medium sized and their all loaded with fillings. All flavors were good, but chicken was my least favorite Very popular place with indoor and outdoor seating. Best to make a reservation if dining in
I went on a Saturday and this place was packed so it was a bit loud for casual chatting. . I found the menu to be very interesting with the emphasis on local Peruvian dishes. No complaints about the service. Dishes were a little on the small side but good for a tapas kind of sharing. Food quality was fine. It’s Bay Area so not inexpensive. Worth a try for a more adventurous appetite.
Total Score: 7.85 Bathroom: 4.25/5 Very nice theme for the bathroom, love the black theme. There were also like like four single use stalls. They should invest in carpets for their bathrooms though cuz water was everywhere cuz the sinks were so small 😭 Customer Service: 4.5/5 Very friendly and checked up on us and refilled waters Ambiance: 4/5 Lovely decor, nice wood vibes. Though slightly cramped Food: 4.5/5 Food was super yummy!! All the seafood was cooked well, and the flavors blend together well. Steak was juicy and fries and beans were yum too. Only complaints are that everything was like a touch more salt than needed and rice was too watery Wow: 0/1 Normal Peruvian restaurant Total Score = BR + CS + 2*AM + 5*FOOD + WOW
One of the good Peruvian restaurants in the bay area. I like the location and ample indoor-outdoor seating area. The service was okay and drinks were average. The food was yum. The empanadas sampler, pork belly fried rice, Chicken quarters were amazing. The fries and salad were not fresh.

food is average. Service was not great- most of the waiters were watching the soccer game. One of the bartenders has a personality issue.

The pisco sour was the best I have ever had outside of Peru. I thought the food was just ok though. The leche de Tigre on the ceviche was a little spicier than I am used to but the fish was super fresh. Yuca fries were delicious though. The rotisserie chicken was very tasty but a tiny bit dry. The lomo saltado was just ok. Service was super friendly but it was very loud inside the resto.
Service was pretty good overall, we sat at the bar. The bartender was engaging and attentive. Ceviche Mixto was delicious. Ordered with a side of taro chips which was pretty small. Fine though. Chicken was on point as usual, but guests should be able to sub sides with no upcharges. Seems like a recent change. The side salad was pretty underwhelming, very lightly dressed and could be improved to complement the chicken. Seems like an afterthought. Asked for extra dipping sauce, was charged $2 and it was presented in a plastic to-go container with a lid rather than a proper ramekin. Not a great look. Flatiron Steak needs work. Looked more like boiled meat, had a rubbery texture and lacked seasoning, which is surprising at a Peruvian place. Very bland. I'd skip it. We've been several times and will return again, just need to polish up some service points and rework the steak. Always good energy there .
The portion of the food was big, they gave you lots of beef for one dish. I liked my lomo saltado, good flavor with nice rice. I am not a big fan of soaked in sauce fries, it will be better if the rice was at the bottom of my dish. The garlic bean was so delicious! Service was great! Drinks are creatively good.
Empanadas we’re wonderful. Yucca was disappointing in flavor. Staff exceptional in care. Wonderful ambiance. parking in the area wasn’t difficult and not overly expensive

The main waitress (petite brunette lady) was very rude. We stayed just about an hour including the wait. We were pestered and harassed to leave. I have not seen such rude behavior in this community. The food was decent but given the prices and tips, I believe the customers expect at least decent service. The point of coming to a restaurant is to spend some time catching up with friends and family. My humble request to the owner is to let the customers know that there are time limitations. Needless to say, I won't be going back
My friend & I ordered Poke with cauliflower. Both our cauliflowers tasted mildewy. We complained to the waiter who apologized & picked up our dishes & suggested to replace the cauliflower with rice…
We were in this restaurant last Tuesday. The servers were very friendly all of a sudden the kitchen staff started to yell at one of servers. We could tell that the server was humiliated. She approached the table and apologized. I am hoping that the management can address this as this ruins the atmosphere of the place. No one deserves to be treated like that it was obviously a harassment.
I come to Christi‘s quite often and so do all of my buddies because we live in Burlington. We are musicians. I’m upset at the fact that I love Christi’s hashbrowns potatoes for breakfast And the last two times I’ve eaten there. They have burnt my hashbrowns and gave me the roasted crispy parts that I don’t like and I’m not happy going there anymore.
Based on my star ratings, definitely not the best place for lunch. I came across this restaurant while looking for somewhere new to eat here in the Burlingame area. Walking into the restaurant there was plenty of seating, great lighting with all the windows and plenty of staff moving about the restaurant helping customers. When I sat down and had the chance to review the menu, I found it very confusing, so much so that I thought maybe I should just leave and find somewhere else to eat. When the server came to my table, we had a lengthy back-and-forth conversation just trying to find something off the menu that I understood and was something that actually interested me. Trust me when I say I wasn’t looking for anything difficult just something along the lines of chicken or fish. I finally decided on something familiar and ordered a steak but unfortunately, that would turn out to be a mistake. You see, although the photo of my food looked incredibly delicious. There was absolutely zero flavor to my steak not even the taste of salt and pepper. It was bad I mean so much so that I was in disbelief on how they managed to miss any type of seasoning. I would have said something, but after my food was delivered no one else came to my table to follow up on my dining experience. Remember, there were plenty of people working rushing around doing things, but sitting two tables away from the entrance and exit to the kitchen area no one seemed to care. There are so many choices so many restaurants up and down this street and I happen to pick the one that fell short of any expectations of having an exciting, fresh, and delicious lunch. Definitely not a restaurant that I’ll ever go back to again.
