Opiniones de The Sandwich Spot Burlingame
Absolutely worth the hype. These sandwiches are massive and delicious. Their garlic sauce is an absolute must. Get a sandwich before a long flight!
Best sandwiches I've had in recent memories. need to come back to try the rest of the menu. Fire Roasted Steak Caesar on Dutch crunch was great.
I heard about Little Lucca for a long time and finally I got a chance to try! The price point is a bit high if you look at the menu, but once you get to see the sandwich, you understand why. They just slapped in meat and cheese up into the big bun. The result? It is so big that you can share as a meal with another person. We got Santa Fe and it is delicious! If you are in a mood for a good, mouthful sandwich, this place can't go wrong.
I've never heard of this place until some of my co-workers were talking about it and I got to say probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. We got the Luca special combo with turkey, ham and bacon and that sauce. Oh my God that pesto and garlic is delicious. Can't wait to go back and try some more
Only Giving 5 Stars due to the Portion. It's 2 proper meals. Got the BLT+A on Dutch Crunch with a Bag of chips for over $22. Steep! Quality sandwich, it was served cold, the cheese clean extra $1.75.. it's a nice sandwich and extremely filling. However not worth a line or worth going out of your way for. I With the portion size it's a decent value I suppose.
Literally the best sandwich shop in the Bay Area, maybe even the world. I have overheard multiple other customers say “this is the best sandwich I’ve ever had”, and many people I brought here have said the same. Everything is great here. Gets busy at lunch time and by 3:30 they will be running out of sandwich ingredients. Great for take out, but not a lot of tables to sit at. The doughnuts next door are fantastic as well.
Update 8/15/25: I had a good experience with the doordash this time! We are back on track. BTW I recommend getting cream cheese only your sandwich. The best one for my is the Lucca's Ultimate, but everything specialty sandwich I have tried so far has been excellent. Edit 7/18/25: Little Lucca's is still one of my favorite places, but I am changing my review to 1 star because of a very disappointing experience toda. In my sandwich from this location were two strips of plastic! Or possibly wax paper, but I think it is plastic. I have pictures of the sandwich and the plastic pieces attached. I will still go back as I've always loved Little Lucca's but please maintain the quality you guys are famous for!
Charming little sandwich shop located in the Burlingame Shopping Plaza. They offer a wide variety of hot and cold gourmet sandwiches, with lots of condiments, sauces, and dressings to choose from. The sandwich portions are quite generous, and the staff is fast and efficient. There is usually a line, so the wait time can be 15-30 minutes. Call ahead to order is probably the best way. Large free parking lot.
My cousin recommended we visit here on our way to San Fran and I'm so glad we did. The staff was very attentive and made everything you order with care. I love the personal touches they put into the making of every sandwich. The prices I thought were very reasonable for the amount of meat and toppings in each sandwich, it's like paying Subway Sandwich prices but getting all the premium ingredients. They have like 50 different sandwiches and so many different breads to create a vast variety of options. We ordered 6 different sandwiches not realizing how big they turned out to be. I eat a lot and I could not finish one whole thing. These are definitely made to be shared and should be eaten as soon as possible before the sauces make them soggy. I forgot to take pictures of the actual sandwiches before we ate them. There's usually a long line and this is because they take such good care of every customer that comes in and makes everything fresh. I highly recommend this place.
Little Lucca in Burlingame is truly a sandwich lover's paradise. Having frequented this spot for over a decade, their foot-long pastrami sandwich continues to be my undeniable favorite. The consistency in flavor, quality, and generous fillings make it a treat every single time. While you can almost always expect a line, it's a testament to their unparalleled offerings. The wait, without a doubt, is always worth it. The staff is friendly, the ambiance nostalgic, and every bite takes you on a delectable journey. If you're in Burlingame and haven't experienced Little Lucca, you're truly missing out. Highly recommended!
There is a big parking for at least 20 cars. In the building there is just a line and some menus on the T.V's. You wait you turn and get served slowly but professionaly. They ask some specific questions about your sandwich because you can litteraly order bread and ham on top. Without any toppings or any thing on top. There are outside seating but not a lot. Tip : come early at 11:30 because after at 12:30 there is a long line
The sandwiches are huge! Be ready to share with 1-2 people. I split mine into lunch and dinner. We ordered the double meat with corned beef and pastrami and the prime rib sandwiches. The garlic spread really enhanced the flavor and my sandwich had a little kick to it. I went when it opened and there was no line. It's just a takeout place so don't expect to eat there because there are no seating. Lots of parking though.
Huge fan (and sandwiches!). In a field with so many competitors (e.g. M Stop, Two Son's, Molinari, AK Subs ... and the list goes on), you'd think that anything that could make your sandwich stand out would be gone. That green pesto (?) sauce though was damn good. It's so simple, but paired with the garlic, it truly completes their sandwich with a unique touch. Was also glad to not have to pay the bay area tax. That $15 was well spent for two whole meals. This is practically a BOGO compared to the spots in SF. Line can get a bit long, but they have several workers parallelizing the sandwich making, so the wait is fairly short. Sandwiches are to-go only! What a treasure around the area, highly recommend!
Customer service needs a major improvement as well as attention to detail. The gentleman working the register has an attitude problem. When taking an order little Lucas used to be really good back in the day. They must be under new ownership because things are not the same.
Soooo, I have heard the hype of the legendary little lucca in SSF. I have been meaning to try it for a very long time yet never did because there’s always a long line outside the building. Was excited to find this place. 1. Not so crowded, have no seating area (maybe outdoor, limited space). Service is very slow because they took order and made it. Guess they think having a line is one of their appeal or something. 2. Price: very pricey for a sandwich. Why, you may ask? i have no clue. Maybe because of the size. 3. Sandwich size: ginormous. Those things are huge and heavy too. I was having hard time carrying 2 of those without plastic bags. 4. Flavor: meh. It was good and juicy, but the meat is very less for it’s size. The ratio between meat and bread is not balanced. That’s the thing disappointed me the most. For around $20 per sandwich, those things better be loaded with meat… yet what I got is just loaded with sauce and lettuces. Lol. Disappointing.
Customer service needs major improvement. The staff laughed at my partner for asking whether there was cheese on the bread due to dietary restrictions, then responded by asking if the sandwich was for a child—which was irrelevant. The sandwiches were good, but we will not be returning because of the experience.
Really rude women making our sandwiches. We ordered two different sandwiches and she assumed we wanted the same toppings. When I told her I wanted mine differently she gave me an attitude and said they were really busy and make the sandwiches at the same time. I asked for a hot pastrami with mayo, mustard, lettuce, peppers and pickles. I noticed she shook a white bottle with a white water liquid and put that on my sandwich. I don’t know if that was the mayo, but it made my sandwich extremely soggy. She also did not add any pickle or peppers.
