Opiniones de Chipotle Castro Valley
Since the only Chipotle restaurants nearby are in San Leandro and Castro Valley, it's usually pretty busy. But it really doesn't bother me because I usually order it online and just pick it up. Avoiding that line is everything! The employees are super nice and I've only gotten the wrong order once. To me that's a good thing because other places mess your orders up every time. Regardless I love their food it's always fresh and delicious.
The food was great. The only delay was people in front of me that took their sweet time deciding what to get. Once I got up to the counter, they got me through the line very quickly. The meal was very tasty 😋.
Excellent, Fresh and quiet place to take your lunch, or dinner. Love the service ❤️
Chipotle Mexican Grill, in the year 2005 emerged in Castro Valley with an epic first impression, this lead to a tipping point in my hometown(I lived in Castro Valley for many years and my lineage is Aztec while my dad is German, Irish, Dutch and Danish I am well known by most people in the Castro Valley Community), with continued exponential growth. The brand Chipotle Mexican Grill is Iconic and I witnessed with my scholar friends first hand as we are loyal perpetual customers. Most of the community are like me loyal customers that are uberly eager to rush to Chipotle for lunch and dinner, the line would stretch around the block towards the BART station. People are so happy that they wait patiently until there turn to order. Everybody likes the food service model with the option to choose what condiments I want, furthermore Chipotle offers vegetarian burritos and bowls. Please, if you have a complaint about a rare flaw speak with the manager and do not post pictures of Chipotle bowls that you claim have a mistake. It is rude, attempt at defamtion, written slander, attempt to influence others to doubt compeletly lacks ethic or class.
Neat and Clean Dining and food prep areas. Easy to find and park. Hot, Fresh Food made to Order. Customer Service with a Smile 😊😁. Tastee Food. Helpful Staff.
Giant burrito, filled with flavor and the Service is always quick and professional.
I am one of the few, that up to very recently, had never tried Chipotle. I finally tried their steak bowl with brown rice and everything. It was delicious! Very generous portions! Very fresh! The service was great too! Very efficient and fast service. I asked the woman that first helped me if she could recommend what would be great. She advised the brown rice with the black beans were good. I did have mild salsa and it was still very tasty!
Clean place. Nicely managed and modern looking. Of course what matters most is the food. I really appreciate that when I asked for double protein the second portion was as generous as the first, unlike other places where the second portion is about half.
I have to say after many bad experiences at other chipotles this location hit it on point. Big portions and all cooked well. Maybe it’s just the night crew is more chill.
Good team work for the friendly staff. Excellent workers. Since the web order, there's always a long line in the restaurant. Should've a separate station to prepare web orders. One night, I had to wait 1/2 hour before my turn. Wasn't fun to stand there and waited so long. Prefer utensils that are individually wraps with plastic. It's more sanitary.
The Shift/ employees at night on March 14th were just amazing!! Especially a Guy who was working named Luis as I read on my receipt. Not sure if he is a manager, but he should be. He was Very fast, respectful, and listened attentively. The woman next to him was very fast and great as well, and the other woman at the cashier was amazing. Loved the food. Very happy. Thanks Chipotle!
Great experience at Chipotle Mexican Grill. The food was fresh, flavorful, and the portion sizes were generous. Everything tasted well-prepared, and the ingredients looked high quality. It’s always satisfying to leave full and happy. I’ll definitely be back.
Everything was yummy! Has a parking lot so it's pretty convenient. And nice to walk around after eating too.
It's a good and convenient place to get something quick. I come here sometimes when I want fast and healthy takeout. Or eat in is fine too.
Came here for lunch to try out the outdoor patio dining area (February 2021 pandemic). No indoor dining at this time. 6 ft social distancing. This is the place where you can customize your order - burrito, bowl, taco, or salad, meat or vegan. Carb or no carb. Food was fresh and tasty. Kid-Friendly - Menu and high chairs. Restroom access is one person at a time and with a 4 digit code given to you at the bottom of your recipe. Parking Lot is at the back.
This location often runs out of certain meat options, but the staff does a great job continuing to process orders when it gets backed up. I’m sometimes disappointed not to get my first choice but it’s always good
Food is usually pretty good. Great ingredients. But any time you order online, never right. Rarely anything you ask for ends up in the order. Not to mention. You are going to be waiting a long time. Might as well just walk in and order at the counter
This one is right on the strip. This place is kept clean and well maintained. Customer service was good and they seem to enjoy themselves. Everytime I order my steak burrito and sit down to eat I can't help but notice how huge it is. I can tell that the ingredients are fresh and full of flavor. I always enjoy coming here for lunch.
Decided to stop by before heading home to The Valley. We came in around 5:45 and to say this place was packed was an understatement. The line wrapped around into the dinning area. Service was a bit slow, they could need another couple hands on deck to make the line go thru a bit quicker. Staff was friendly and they did try moving thru it as quickly as possible. Food is okay as usual. Let's be honest we're not getting 5 star "Mexican food " here it is what it is. I much rather prefer grabbing this than some McDonald's. The red salsa was extra spicy today that kinda made my burrito hard to eat because of the spice. The chips were tasty but I did have multiple chunks of clumped together tortillas chips like if they weren't unstuck before throwing in the fryer. Will we be back, probably not to this location. There a bit too busy for my liking
The burritos we ordered fall apart the moment we took them out of the foil. There's nothing more frustrating than having a messy burrito. By the end of the meal, I ate the tortilla separately because all of the contents had fallen out.
I ordered a chicken burrito tonight, 7/1, with brown rice, black beans, lettuce, and pico de gallo. My usual Chipotle order. The food here was lukewarm, especially the chicken, and very bland. I asked the server for the spicy salsa on the side, and she didn’t put it in the bag. I wish I would have had it to potentially add SOME flavor to the food. I managed to eat half the burrito because I was hungry. And thankfully, I had a Nantucket’s apple juice to was it down.
I have been here the past few Fridays because I teach a local dance class and get out at 9:30 pm and amazing vegan and starving. Everytime I go to this location the employees seem uninterested in helping me, they are out of everything and the dinning area looks a mess. This location closes at 11pm so it just seems that at 9:30ish things should still be in decent order. Or at least not be having conversations in the back kitchen area and making customers wait to be helped. I may just need to come here mid day and see if the environment and service and all is the same or different but for now my evening experience is not the best.
I usually order online and pick up. I usually order vegetarian food but but I've had issues with chunks a beef found in my food. My food is usually ready on time and if there's ever an issue they always take care of me. The food there is just OK But usually a safe bet. Wish it was a little more Flavorful.
This place is getting worst every time I go to it. I might have to go to a different one or not at all if it keeps up. I ordered from the app. First time, they forgot the guac. Second time, they mixed the cover of what was inside, and when I found out and wanted to trade with the other person, the other person already ate half of it so I can't trade. This time it's the amount of food they gave us. Used to be when I stand in line and they make it in front of me, they have a hard time closing the bowl cause there's a lot of food. From take out this time, there's big space in the bowl where more food suppose to be. Pictures provided, though it is worst in person than in picture.
Really disappointed with this Chipotle location and will never go back. I came into this store on a Sunday evening to discover 8 younger people being served that didn't have masks on. That's despite the sign on the door that says masks are required and despite the current mask mandate in the state of California. I could tell the young lady preparing their food felt helpless about the situation and decided to accommodate them just to move them along but still very concerning. Fast forward to the following Saturday. The door sign says the store opens at 10:45am. There's a line of now six people waiting outside after the open time and people have knocked on the door. All we see is staff walking around getting spoons or standing around doing nothing. One man was so upset that he left because his lunch break was about to be over. They didn't open the doors until 10:57. When I got in, I asked if their hours if operation had changed and was told no, they should have opened at 10:45. No apologies or even an explanation as to why. I asked who the manager was of the store and was advised Rebecca was there on site. I then asked who the regional manager was and no one seemed to know. Food is consistent with every other Chipotle store but the staff is not very good.
The person who helped me was horrible. She acted like she didn't want to be there and asked me my order five times. I only had 3 different items. My quesadilla was stone cold before she had finished making my taco.
Lately they have been super skimpy on serving sizes, especially for mobile orders. I paid for double meat and still got a pretty disappointing burrito. If I’m paying extra for the meat there’s no excuse. It’s a shell of what chipotle used to be
In my experience, the service here is good overall at an individual worker level, however they seem to struggle in this area as an organization. For instance, they continually run out of items here when ordering your food. You have about a 50/50 chance of getting grilled veggies in your meal and the last time we were there, they ran out of forks too. How does a place that serves lettuce in their bowls even allow for this to happen. They tell the customers to use spoons instead. Since the general service seems good, I can only assume their inability to address these issues is related to bad management/ownership. Because of this, they might be the worst version of this restaurant I've been to so far.
Nearly broke our teeth on hard rice grains. They replaced the meal but the second meal was no different. Four in our party had the same issue. Problems with quality control. Either uncooked raw rice or so overcooked it was hard. Not returning.
This place consistently lets me down. On this particular day, they were out almost everything. Veggies, guac, corn, steak, etc. Basically, everything i came for. The manager was loudly complaining about his staff and how prep wasn't done. I mean, I get it. But to hear him complain about it the whole time I was waiting for him to finish the corn salsa was supremely annoying and very telling of why prep wasn't done in the first place. The people on the line and in the back were cringing really hard and my heart goes out to them. I hope they've all found better places to work. Back to the food. The chips were all the way different (read: not delicious) and the queso I'd been craving for so long (and the main reason i went) tasted gross. Lastly, the nerve of charging so much to give such little food! Their scoops are already really light, but it seems they were really conserving food that day. Anyhoo. No thanks. Not coming here anytime soon.
The food is great, but the restaurant is dirty. If you come on a Friday night, expect very slow service and a long wait.
I’ve been a long-time and loyal customer of Chipotle, but I recently had an alarming experience that’s made me question whether I’ll continue dining at their restaurants. I found a large chunk of undercooked, nearly raw chicken in my bowl. This isn’t just an inconvenience, it’s a serious food safety concern. In all my years of eating at Chipotle, I’ve never encountered an issue even remotely close to this. While I’ve always enjoyed their food, this incident has made me hesitant to return, especially to this location. I hope Chipotle takes these matters seriously and have plans to address this at this location.
Nothing about my burrito bowl was positive. See attached photos for the disgusting amount of grease in my food. My rice was literally swimming in the grease. Next I open the container. I see quite a few larger pieces of carnitas. It was literally just fat. I got maybe two good bites of meat the rest was just fat. The one thing I forgot to take a photo of but it looked like chewed up food anyway. The ratio of the portions are so wack lol. Waaaay too much cheese and salsa. Not enough lettuce and nearly no meat. Needless to say I didn’t eat a whole lot as everything was just too engulfed in grease.
When you order online here you’ll get about 1/4 the amount of food you would usually get if you waited in line. Ask for corn? You’ll get about 10 pieces. Look at the photo for how it came out. Not only that but you’ll have to wait 30 mins to get your online order since only 1 person is working the mobile order station. NEVER ORDER FROM HERE. What a sad example of a Chipotle.
Messed up my order. I asked what the price was for extra steak and they said it was $4.00 I declined… They still added it on and charged me for it . 1 bowl for $21 is a joke . They decide to throw my plate away and remake my food which is fine but having to wait was very annoying being that it wasn’t my mistake . Also fix that damn front door .
There were two young girls (one lightskin and one Latina I suppose) who just talk and don’t work. I was in a line of 7 people including me and it took 25 minutes. Twenty five minutes of telling personal stories, showing pictures of boys and laughing while people are listening to them standing and waiting. Also, who taught the black girl how to make a sandwich? She handed me an open burrito I swear to god, that never happened anywhere. Take a look for yourself. I counted 16 people coming in, waiting a bit and leaving the line in those 25 minutes. Why doesn’t the manager fire these two? They are bad for business in this location. Other than these two, I like the rest of the staff they seem like good sweet people.
Placed an online order for 6:45pm and it wasn't ready when I arrived at 6:53pm (didn't get my food until 7). It would have been faster if I waited in the 10 person line already there. Even still, my rice was cold and sticky, toppings were missing, and the staff was rude. First and last time.
so tired with this branch, how many times they cook raw rice. Missing Guac or Sour cream. Damn doordash can't pick another location. I also ordered double meat but looks like half&half. missing salsa too, not even extra rice.
Portion of food is really small. The price continue goes up and you cut down the size of the food? That is how you do business now?
Today I picked up my order to go. I ordered the barbacoa burrito bowl with everything. The meat was so so salty, I basically had to eat around it. Had I worked closer and had time to run back, I would have went back. There's nothing worst than over salted food.
I ordered a salad (wholesome bowl) for takeout. When I got home, I discovered my salad had no lettuce. This isn’t the first time these guys have messed up my order. Quality control for takeout at this location is the worst of any restaurant I’ve ordered from. RESPONSE TO THE BUSINESS’ RESPONSE: Yup. I reached out as you recommended, and the “help” you promised basically had the same result. “Thanks for sharing your feedback.” At this point, my payback to your pointless eking out of my labor by getting me to post here and there regarding YOUR error is to: pan your business from here on out, spread negative stories about Chipotle, and to discourage everyone I know to avoid Chipotle restaurants. After reading other recent reviews, I can see that I’m not alone in observing the decline of your product.
If you’re going to prioritize online orders, you should close the dining area. Literally 35 mins to order because they’re focusing on the online orders instead of the long lines of customers right in front of them 🤦🏾♂️
I am at the emergency room with my son because he has a huge piece of steak meat stuck in his throat. This place doesn’t know how to cut their steak meat. They cut the steak meat in giant cubes that are more suitable for horses than humans. The quality of the meat is horrible, it’s always too tough and dry. Don’t they know they have to chop the steak in thin strips or thin layers? Now here we are at the ER waiting for the doctors to do a procedure to remove this giant piece of meat. Terrible food. Chipotle should pay for this medical bill!
Yesterday I asked for chicken in my kids quesadilla meal. She put it in my bowl, the regular portion size and got ready for the next side. Then, she looked at my bowl and SCOOPED half of my chicken out out of the bowl and PUT IT BACK in the the chicken serving bowl they use for costumers????? She claimed it was “too much” and took it from my bowl and put it back. What a lack of etiquette!!! I mean everyone around me was shocked they did that. I’ve had so many bad experiences here with the employees. Don’t go here expecting a good experience. They also charged me $1.50 for a side of lettuce??????? What is the logic behind that.
Won't be returning again. Last couple times I've came the portions were very small and food was cold. The steak they use is crap. Ended up spitting half of the steak into garbage bc couldn't even chew it. This last visit was last straw. Food was room temp, asked for extra rice, beans, and steak only for it to look like what it should regularly. The fact that it cost me $43 for just 2 bowls is a joke.
I ordered a burrito and every time, without fail, it’s too watery and falls apart. It’s simply not a burrito then if the only recourse offered is that they can put it in a bowl. I’ll never go back. $14 for a terrible food item. And nothing is weighed. They skimp on items. Horrible. Oh and they never give me a receipt so I can rate my experience. They lost my business, forever.
I asked for fajita veggies and guacamole and didn’t get any. I gave them a second try because they offered a free order of extra meat and instead they gave me a half portion. This place was great when they first opened and the line was always out the door. Now they just are not up to the usual standard. The San Leandro location is far better.
Food is excellent usually but there is no point in coming to this location if you want a veggie bowl. They never have guacamole, they don’t tell you there is no guacamole until you go through the long line and get to the end of finishing your order. They are always out of water cups so they try to upsell you on their large cups (how is it your problem). This is the last time I’ll be coming to this chipotle. Btw Their online orders seems to have a supply of guacamole this time but I have had bowls without guacamole that I also ordered at this same location. Just avoid it if you can.
I stood in line for a couple minutes, and I watched him make the bowls and burritos before me. Their bowls literally had half as much food as the average bowl. I’ve never seen such a skimp chipotle ever in my life if you wanna pay full price for half the food that’s definitely the place to go. I didn’t even order any food after I watched them make the people food ahead of me I left it’s not worth it.
The staff in there are so rude. They all have the worst attitudes. If you make a special request or change to your meal that YOU are paying for they won’t do it. Especially the old lady with the silver teeth. This was the worst experience I have ever had at chipotle.
