My favorite Mexican restaurant. The staff is awesome, the food is great! Update.. tried the Tres Leches....SOOOO GOOD. Also they have soo many options for liquor like a raspberry pina coloada that's incredible. Their Guac is delicious and the queso is great!!!

We have been going to Herreras for several years now and have never been disappointed or had a bad experience. Just good food and good people.

Herrerras is a great neighborhood restaurant! Close by, nice, friendly and clean environment. Always remember people and have a personal touch. Today I ordered online for delivery, through Toast. I called the restaurant and the woman who answered made a real effort to help me get what I wanted. The delivery was fine and everything was packed well and it was an excellent experience.

The staff was AMAZING. I was at Herrera's Mex. Rest. covering a work event in their party room, I was visiting from San Antonio. The staff here was great! Juan one of the waiters was attentive and very kind from the moment we walked in. Mr. Herrera the owner came out to introduce himself which made our visit at the restaurant extra special. I know where to grab a bite next time I am in the Woodlands. Thanks to all the staff there for everything. =)

Had solo quick lunch while waiting on my car repair. Food was amazing - portions were huge - everyone was so kind and it seems like they knew most of the patrons. Wish it was closer to my house - I’d be there all the time!

It was my birthday and they were the only place that had raw oysters for a reasonable price...love the happy inviting atmosphere, wait staff were efficient and very sweet… great experience for my birthday when they brought out the cheesecake with a sparkler in it And saying Happy Birthday!!! Looks like it'd be a great place to go back and dance the night away as they do have d j's and I don't think they may even have live music at times...

There was no wait and the staff were amazing. Super attentive. The food was some of the most authentic food I've had this side of town. Can't wait to go back.

The food was great and so were the drinks! Service was above and beyond and checked on me multiple times which was appreciated. Never ran out of chips or drink!

Man do you get a large portion here. The price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get. And the food is very tasty. Service was very good.

We have been coming to this place for about a month now and the food is awesome great prices drinks are good the staff is very attentive and they have karaoke on Sundays check them out you won't be disappointed

Chicken fajitas were very good. The charo beans were the best I've ever eaten.

We had lunch here when we visited The Woodlands and, even though we have several Mexican restaurants in our home area, this was by far the best we've ever had! Authentic Mexican flavor, first-rate service, and friendly, knowledgeable staff. We can't wait to get back to the area and visit Herrera's again!

Traveling from College Station to Montgomery/Conroe- quaint family owned restaurant worth the stop. Stand outs were crispy tacos, tamales, and the skinny margaritas.

Love this place. Our family probably averages 1 time per week at this location. The food is great, and very TexMex with some authentic Mexican dishes also. The drinks are great! The prices are fair, and sometimes much lower than expected. The service is excellent, and though I would say we are regulars, I can’t tell much of a difference from when we first visited because they treat all guests like family. Chips and salsa, and drinks never run out because the waiters are so attentive. There is plenty of room, and though it can get busy, I have never had to wait for a table. The way the place is set up, you can always speak casually with friends because it never gets too loud. They have an excellent mariachi group that visits from time to time and they really add to the experience. The parking lot is very large and it is always easy to find a place. The spots very close to the entrance fill up quickly, but the lot is large, and you never have to miss out for lack of parking. Excellent margaritas (my favorite is the chamorita), micheladas, and deserts. I recommend the flan and tres leches.

This place is our go-to when we crave great Tex-Mex. It’s always reliable and incredibly convenient. Also, almost to a fault, If we’re unsure about what to cook, we can easily order takeout, and it’s hot and ready so fast. My wife loves their margaritas, the kids are crazy about their cheese dip, enchiladas, and I appreciate the consistency.

I googled Mexican Restaurants and came across this place and everything looked so good and the reviews are great so I treated my Mom here today for her 63rd Birthday and y'all everything is so good. The food came out piping hot, very flavorful and very filling the portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable. My 11 year old Cousin said she wants to go back for her Birthday which is next month so we will definitely be back 🩷🩷🩷🩷 oh yeah the drinks are good too and I can't forget the customer service everyone did an amazing job. Thank you all for making us comfortable and singing Happy Birthday to my Mom🤗

I did a take out order and picked it up. The food was ready with in 15 minutes on a Saturday night. 👏👏 Everything was delicious and the order was correct. 🤩 We also got togo Margaritas 🍹 😋 they did not skimp on the tequila 😆. Highly recommend 👍👍

The food was delicious I had lots of food and it was so good. Service was very excellent especially Juan. My mom my fiance and I had a great time we will be back.

Honestly one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. Their salsa is top tier (ask for the spicy one). Their chunky guacamole is superb. I find their food authentic and delicious. If you live near by you have to give this place a shot

I recently visited with family and we found the place to be a hidden gem. The staff are friendly, and attentive. We ordered lunch on a Sunday, and it was moderately busy. I ordered the Camarones Especiales, and highly recommend it!!

Try this place you won’t be disappointed. The food was good the service was good nothing bad to say really enjoyed our meal at Herreras.

The food was very good we love the fajitas and the carnitas and my kids enjoyed your queso dip muy excelente. The two shots of jimador tequila washed down with a dos Equis was a perfect drink while we waited to pick up our food muchos gracias bartender.

Herrera's was a nice restaurant to visit and be with friends. The service is good, the dining area is enjoyable, but my glaring issue is the EXCESSIVE amount of bland queso processed cheese that they put on everything, which actually ruins the plate of food. But perhaps if you're someone that loves TexMex and can never get enough of the melted processed cheese, then this is your Nirvana. First time visiting here with friends, and it was great to see how busy it was! Almost the entire restaurant was full which is always great sign in any business. We were greeted and seated rather quickly. Our staff service was very pleasant and brought us out tortilla chips and salsa and drinks as well rather quickly! I thought I would order the California Burrito because it seemed to have a good variety of everything, and the menu does say con queso sauce which I assume would just be drizzled upon the top of it. I'm sure the fajita meat, the rice and the other goods inside the burrito were delicious but unfortunately... they were all completely drowned out by what seemed to be a quart of queso processed melted cheese which took away the flavor from everything else in the burrito. The dining area was well maintained and a nice arrangement of seating and booths everywhere without feeling overcrowded. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the dining area was kept very clean. Overall, I only gave this 4 out of 5 stars because of the excessive drowning of the queso sauce, which didn't even really have a Mexican flavor to it it was more just like bland liquid processed cheese gravy. The queso sauce lacked flavor and the amount of queso sauce on the food you couldn't taste the actual plate of food. I would recommend coming here however I would highly recommend that you ask them to put the queso on the side so that you can control the amount on your plate and that they won't have to empty another tanker truck out back with queso sauce. I will be coming back again, and I will try this again and still would recommend Herreras.

Pretty quiet and low key… which is good sometimes ☺️ Overall food and drinks were food. Service was good. I was most impressed with their Tres Leches cheesecake! Yum!! Definitely recommend that!

I guess I’m Mexican and expect a lot. Food was good and everything was good just needed more authentic flavor.

I really like this place - it’s close to home and is a great neighborhood spot. My only complaint is, I placed an order for pickup. Their online menu prices did not reflect what I was charged. I asked about it and the only answer I got was “sorry it hasn’t updated yet”

Great chips and salsa, and really great service. The food wasn't anything to write home about though.

Food was delicious! The service was terrible. It took over 15 minutes to get service to begin with, then once we finally placed our order and the food came, the server never came by again. I had to go up to him at another table to ask him for the check. Also, they had a very, very loud mariachi band playing that was unable to play with inside volume. I wear hearing aids and took them out during dinner. My family was upset they could not even hear each other over the music because it was so loud. The music is good, but the volume is way too loud. Please turn down the volume.

It was ok. The ranchero sauce didn’t really have flavor and the steak was a lil burnt and didn’t have flavor either. For $17, I wouldn’t say it was worth the price.

I live close to here so I’ve been here a handful of times. I’m always disappointed. The food is not good simple as that. I could get over that if the margaritas were spectacular but they’re worse. They taste like cheap tequila and the balance of sweet to sour to liquor is never harmonious. I’ll drive 15 minutes down the road to go to Julio’s instead. The pros to Herreras are the staff. They are great and attentive. The outside patio is nice.

I shared fajitas for two. It wasn't the best price for comparable dishes around. But that is ok if it were prepared well. The taste was lacking and the meat was don't overcooked I couldn't finish it, and I am not one to waste it send things back.

The service is excellent, the restaurant is clean. The food was not good. The refried beans had a weird taste and they were gummy. The crispy beef taco was very bland. The rice was really bland. The chicken flauta was decent and the chips and salsa were good. I do not recommend the queso, it tastes cheap/fake. I would go back for just the flautas and chips and salsa.

I've never been to a restaurant where if there was nothing on the menu that I wanted that a waiter or waitress was not able to recommend something that I might enjoy. This specific waitress, very unrememberable, because I don't even remember her name, never even attempted to refer or recommend anything when I said I wanted a shredded steak taco, and she offered me a chicken taco. I wasn't impressed I won't go back
