Service was so quick and efficient to take our orders and prepare the food. The restaurant was clean and very roomy (it would be a great option for a special event). The food presentation was remarkable, and the flavors were absolutely delicious. The prices are very fair, even so I appreciated the generous portions of food. I would highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner. 💯 😁
Food was great, as always. We're served pretty quick after ordering. The only minus is that you have to go up to the counter to place your order; no menus.
Very good food. We came in just before closing and still everything seemed fresh & delicious. You order from the front counter & the girls bring the food to your table. Very friendly and fast service. The chips & Salsa bar was excellent!! Especially the avocado salsa & the white one.
I ordered a pozole and 3 mares caldo. Around 7:30pm, it was delicious and fresh!!! Definitely gonna be one of my new favorites! Can't wait to try some other plates. Only thing was the corn tortillas were microwaved/heated together for to long so 4 tortillas turned into 2 all stuck together. They still got ate though!
Best chorizo breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. Friendly, attentive staff. We will be back!
I love this place! I enjoy the hospitality. The cashier and all the girls that are there helping are always so sweet and attentive. This is my cozy come too when I’m craving some bomb 3 mares soup. They have the best seafood here! I fully recommend ♥️
Tasty food. Great, fast service. Plenty of seating.
Our favorite taqueria in Elk Grove. The people are friendly, the food is flavorful and fast to come out. The chips and salsa bar is self service all you can eat with take home bags. Great place for a great meal and not too expensive. Highly recommended.
My friend brought me here for my birthday and I gotta tell you, the steak fajitas are off the hook. So good I wanted to eat more even though I couldn't fit anymore food. I absolutely annoyed the Chips with Pico de gallo salsa blended fine. I had a great experience here and will return when I'm in the area passing by. This establishment requires you to order from the counter menu and pay for food before you site down.
The food and service are all really good. They have been open for several years, and we've always enjoyed the food. The menudo is good with homemade tortillas
1st time at this location & the food was really good! We ordered Chile Verde Plate, Tacos Birria Plate & Childs Taco Plate. Customer service was great & the food was served within 2 minutes of sitting down. Their salsa & chips bar was also nice.
Best costumer service very friendly. Food was so good I got a beef taco and a chicken and cheese tamale. Price was good! It was my first time going will be going again 😋
Salsa bar! Food came out piping hot and had great flavor. Service was great and everyone was nice. ---------- Quesabirria Tacos Grade: A+ Super flavorful and full of cheese. Comes with a cup of consume and sauteed onions and peppers. Peppers were surprisingly not as spicy as I thought California Burrito (with tripa) Grade: B+ Tripa had amazing flavor and burrito was piping hot and super full. Wish it was fries over potatoes but still good Horchata Grade: A Extra rice-y and cinnamon-y compared to other places. Also not as sweet. Some people may not like but I love it like that Orange juice Grade: A Really sweet and fresh with pulp
The food is amazing. The selection is overwhelmingly huge. The help yourself salsa and chip bar is very nice and speeds up the process. Prices were quite reasonable. $15 for a burrito the size of a weight lifter's bicep. $5 for a fish taco feels a big high but it was fresh red-snapper not frozen cod. I went for enchiladas and each flavor was fantastic. Carnitas 5 ⭐. Lengua 5 ⭐. Salsa Verde 5 ⭐. The football ⚽ game was a little loud, but the place is clean. Kinda amazing that a local spot this good exists despite being literally surrounded by boring chain restaurants on all sides. Would come back.
Staff are always friendly, and the food is great. Recommend eating there to enjoy your food fresh from the kitchen. This is our go-to spot now after 3 other places in Elk Grove eliminated many of their meat options to just the basic mainstream meats.
The staff was really friendly! The shop was clean and entertaining! First time trying a Mixta Tostada...didn't know what it was, but it was awesome! (It's octopus and shrimp) I forgot the name of the other dish I got, but it was really good. (I'll edit it in with some menu pics if I remember) The chips and salsa bar was a great one! Plus, they are at the end of a shopping center, so you can easily get a big rig in and out if you loop around the back.
Lovely place. You can sit well with friends and quench your thirst with a delicious drink. Good environment and coziness. Food was not ordered. So I don't know how to cook. I hope it's delicious. I think I'll come here again.
Fantastic tacos de asada and al pastor. Great options of salsas. Definitely looking forward to having food from here again.
Best I. The west Dish tacos are really fish no just breaded But fresh and flavors And the rest of the food was great . If you see my previous review for another fish taco place don’t go there come here
Wow I’m beyond words the menudo is so good and the wet burrito was delicious as well street tacos were very good as well the michadas were great as well . For my first time coming from the Bay Area I was not sure about Mexican food unless it’s the usual ones I go to lol but this one was a great place i will definitely come here again!!
Damn good nachos! Loaded with real, shredded cheese - just how I like them. They also have a full salsa bar and chips, if you want to add more to your meal.
This place is always clean and fast. The employees are friendly and professional. The food is fantastic! Open salsa and chip bar with soda fountain. There's plenty of room in this Taqueria and 4 TVs. The menu here is EXTENSIVE with plenty of choices from traditional to carne asada fries. Their happy hours are also fantastic with cheap beers and tacos. Love visiting this place when I get the chance!

I like it. I had the Chile Verde plate for the second time and I hope to make it a third time soon. We think the food it good and worth returning for biweekly. The seating area in the Taqueria feels clean but the bathrooms could be cleaner. Also the hallway feels like a storage place and doesn't seem clean enough. The food is good enough to come back for but it would be nice to maintain a clean appearance in places the clients use too. I love the handmade tortillas! Next time I go I will try their canned Los Compadres cervezas.

Food was very good and it was brought to our table timely. A large menu selection that made it difficult to choose from (not that that's necessarily a bad thing). Service was ok. The girl at the counter did not really know the menu too well and was unable to explain what was in the dishes and how they were cooked. She was considerate and proper but needs a bit more knowledge about the food. Restaurant was clean and the salsa selection was very good. Overall, a good place to eat if you are craving delicious, authentic Mexican food. Would recommend this place and will be back for more.
No frills, excellent Mexican food, good quality and value.
Very delicious. I ordered a regular carnitas wet 🌯 and a large horcharta. The chips and condiments are self-serve all you can eat. The venue is open with two big screen TV's to watch your favorite novela or futball game. The staff didn't really check on me as much as they did the others, however. This may have been due to a misperceived language barrier on their part because I know some Español! Overall good food! 👍
I love their chips and salsa bar. So many different types of salsas. So fresh too. The food is good. I just wish they have more meat on the tacos and less lettuce. This place is a bit pricey.

Solid and tasty Mexican food. Portions are generous. You order and pay at the counter, the food is brought to your table in less than 15 minutes.
Ordered 1 taco. Almost $7.00 ala carte. Kind of pricey, but good.
We have been to this location a few times. Before Covid and after. I would say “before “ was a lot better. The food had a little more flavor before and of course there were a lot more people in and out which gave it a better vibe. It’s not a great thing when the salsa bar was the best food on the table. The tamales were wet masa like it didn’t steam long enough. The shredded chicken inside had zero flavor and was mushy. The rest of the food pictured had an all around lack of flavor. It’s tough because I want to come back here but unfortunately I don’t think we will be making it back. Ohhh and the price of the food 😣. Almost $70 for this. Stop the madness please. Inflation is normal but this sh&! Here was madness’s. The service was decent though.

Ordered 1 taco. Almost $7.00 ala carte. Kind of pricey, but good.
Ordered 4 tacos ( 2 cabeza, 2 lengua) and menudo. Meat was flavorless and really over powered by the lime in the green sauce spread on top of the tacos. Menudo did not have flavor, tasted just like red water.
The enchiladas were disgusting. It made my husband and I sick. I will never eat here again.
Ordered a californa burrito and was very disappointed. No fries but potato cubes instead. Very very disappointed last time I will ever eat here.
I took my elderly father here last week and we were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was so we decided to go again tonight. It was about 7:15pm - I think a reasonable dinner hour. As soon as we sat down and received our food, an employee propped open one of 2 entrance/exit doors and started to mop. It is currently 43 degrees (feels like 38). My father who is 81 started to shiver. I asked nicely if we could shut the door and the employee said they were mopping and needed to dry the floors. So we rushed through our food, which certainly lost its appeal through our chattering teeth. When we were trying to leave, they had blocked the door we had entered through with slippery-when-wet signs. I asked if we could get through and they replied we could go out the back door. My father is very clearly disabled and walks extremely slowly with a walker and the extra steps they were telling him to navigate felt unnecessarily cruel. I doubt they were trying to be mean, but at the very least it was obtuse not to notice how challenging it was for my father to get around. I have worked in restaurants before. I understand trying to get a jump on closing duties, but not at the price of the current diners - especially when the restaurant doesn’t close til 9pm. We rushed to get out of there by 7:30-7:35. We spent around $60 for 2 meals and 2 beers. No matter how good the food is, it’s not worth being treated so poorly. No bueno.
First time here, and the service was horrible. It was a full house and only 2 girls on the floor. One spent her time slowly wiping down here and there instead of helping the other girl out who seemed to be overwhelmed as she was the only one bringing the food out. She would be delivering the wrong food (we overheard) to the table next to us. We had to continue to ask for all the food we ordered as she would only bring out one thing at a time and seemed to forget each time of all that was ordered for our table. The menudo (stomach) seemed like it wasn't properly washed before being cooked (it had that weird smell/taste) and could've used some more seasoning. I ordered huevos rancheros with the sauce on the side but it took forever to get the sauce so by the time I got it, I only had one bite left but they were still good without the sauce. Their freshly made corn tortillas were also great. The price of the food was not worth it, especially with the not so great service it comes with. If it wasn't for the bad service, we would try to give it another chance but highly unlikely. 😔
I have been going to this place for over 2 years now. I love their food, but they never run their a/c during summertime. We are at 107 degrees right now it's just unbearable to be inside a hot restaurant. Not comfortable at all!!
Came in for a Molcajete and a Jamaica and the Jamaica was watered down and gross. The tortillas came out corn when I ordered flour. Then the Molcajete came out looking like a poor quality over filled mess. The shrimp weren’t even shelled or deveined, the chicken was poor quality dark meat and the asada was thin like paper. The whole thing was dry lacking flavor. I drowned it in salsa to add a little flavor and ate a little just because I was starving. Needless to say, for a $40 dinner for 1 person I was not impressed. I will never return and would not recommend.
The menudo was DISGUSTING. Tasted watered down no hominy in it. They didn’t even ask if I wanted any. They gave me a refund but not my tip. Had to go back in once I realized they kept it.
