Yanni's Best

I was craving Yanni's for a hot minute. I finally decided to come through Fillmore on my way back from L.A. I had the beef/lamb gyro and fried mushrooms. I always mean to try other dishes but, oop, just got my go to! Their meat is so tender it almost melts in your mouth, I'm serious! Cooked perfectly, I've had other places that it gets burnt or its dry or chewy :( I wish there was a little more red onion and tomato but that's my personal qualm. The fried mushrooms are a random treat I fell in love with along with their ranch that it comes with! At first I was like, that's a little expensive for a side, but hey where else will you find fried mushrooms to munch on, and they give you a ton, like a whole regular sized styrofoam box of 'em! The service I experienced today was pleasant, I even dropped my card at the window and the dude just swooped it up for me from his window! So nice :) it's a little hard to get out of the driveway/parking lot when there's traffic, that's all!

I got the breakfast burrito with fries and it was so good I finished it before I thought to get a picture. Been here a few times and it's a pretty good local place and their menu is HUGE.

Your meal might be 20 bucks but it should last you 3 meals. Can be salty at times only if you’re on a low salt diet like myself. If you’re driving thru town try their drive-thru option.

We look forward to stopping at Yanni's when returning from a drive out the 126. They have a selection to satisfy many moods . We have never had a bad experience here.

I was just passing through and I loved the food and service. I recommend it to all travelers in the area

Too expensive. I like to support them but can’t be buying $40 soups salad meals very often. I literally bought two soups and two salads for $40.

You got to try their hamburger single or double Patty and then order the fries and soda you will be stuffed until tomorrow.

The food was so much better than we expected!!!!! Do not miss this hidden gem!

Mediterranean grilled cheese is delicious. Ranch chicken sandwich is yummy too. Fried mushrooms are so tasty. We enjoyed the meal very much.

Great little spot. Went for breakfast and was served right away. I got the biscuits and gravy with hash browns since I don't eat eggs! The coffee was great and food hit the spot. Totally beats the busy chain restaurants! I can't wait to go again and have a burger!

The food was amazing. I had the Philly cheese steak and fries the fries were cooked perfect.

We were on the way to the beach yesterday (10/18/25) and stopped in. While there weren't many other customers (8 besides the two of us) the staff were helpful, competent and warm toward us as we asked about the menu. The menu is having a bit of an identity crisis (is it Mediterranean, burger joint or Mexican food stand?) but we chose Mediterranean fare. We had avgolemono soup, gyro, baklava and a Greek salad. SO very flavorful! Delicious!!! Would recommend these dishes wholeheartedly. Eat them on the patio - the creeping vines and shade make it a wonderful spot to stop for food that blows a chain drive thru WAY out of the water.

I consider myself a pastrami aficionado, and Yanni’s pastrami sandwich was one of the best I’ve had. Tons of well seasoned pastrami, mustard, pickles, good bread, classic. Will come back again if I feel like another pastrami sandwich

I ate the food so quickly.I didn't even get a photo, didn't help?This place has the drive through.This is a definite must stop by if you're driving through the town of fillmore.

I ate here for the first time at the recommendation of my son who eats there frequently. I ordered the Greek grilled cheese sandwich. I’ve never seen that before and really enjoyed the meal along with some deep fried mushrooms. I’m sure I’ll be back as the menu is extensive, and my son will take me there again. Thank you for a great experience.

Decided to try Yanni's on my way thru Fillmore. Got the Pastrami Reuben sandwich which was absolutely amazing, a little small for the price, but was still delicious. My only complaint, for the love of God. DO NOT USE THEIR RESTROOM. The smell was almost unbearable. I don't know if someone used it before me, or if it was the 7 different flavored pee cakes in the urinal. Either way avoid at all costs. Would definitely go again. 😅

A really cozy little spot with great customer service and diner food. Good place to bring kids as it has an outdoor area for strollers. They also decorate for the holidays which is a nice touch.

At first glance, seems like just a burger hut. But let me tell you…. It’s more than that, I recommend the Mediterranean grilled cheese sandwich… I think it’s by far the best grilled sandwich I’ve ever had.

Delicious gyro sandwich. The homemade ranch is worth it for their perfectly seasoned fries. Cheeseburgers are all very good as well.

Pretty good burgers. Little pricey, though. Very expansive menu from burgers to gyros to breakfast. chili cheese fries, onion rings, falafel. Kind of a meditation / American mix.

Not bad. Greasy, Greasy, Greasy. - Burger left a pool of grease on the basket/paper. Overall flavor was pretty good, good char on the meat, chili was a bit underwhelming, veggies seemed to be a bit less than fresh, bun was good but slightly soft and became soggy. - 5.55 upcharge for meal is a bit much, and adding extras are charged full price. Soooo, ehhh? It's ok.

There was a sign in the restaurant to ask on me of the employees for the WiFi password. Usually I’m shy about doing this, but I mustered up the courage to ask the lady at the cash register for the password. Her tone was pretty harsh as she told me the password. Apparently, you didn’t need a password, so I’m not sure why they still have the sign up. I got the special of the day (French bread with ajus dipping sauce). Sadly, I didn’t like it. I was expecting more sauce to be in it or some flavor in the meat. I would recommend getting a burger and the zucchini fries if you order something. I would have loved to get a gyro, but just like most Mediterranean food these days, the pice for that dish super expensive. One of the youngest workers there, I believe his name was Joe, was very nice and hardworking. He was bussing tables, on the register, filling up the front fridge, pretty much doing everything besides cooking.

They do pretty good with lunch and dinner items. Especially the pastrami reuben. Breakfast not so much. Worst chicken fried steak I've ever had.

Id rate this place a 5 if the prices on their burgers made sense. Charging 24 dollars for a drive thru burger combo is highway robbery. Good burger, but what is given is not worth 24 dollars. Go across the street to Daniels Gourmet for a great burger with fries and save your money.

We've been coming here for almost 10 years and have never been disappointed - before now. It's always been a stop on our frequent trips between Bakersfield and the coast. I've recommended them to many friends and left 5 star reviews many times. The food is still delicious. The prices are very reasonable. I especially like the California Chicken sandwich, which is available "off-menu". Their burgers and fries are also great, as are their chicken kabobs. So, what's the problem? They charge you 3% to use a credit card. It's on the big menu board, so you should know it's coming, but it's irritating to me and other customers. My visits have decreased from every few weeks to every few months.

The food is good, but most of the time the prices keep me from ordering any actual meals here. OVER 10$ FOR FRIES AND A DRINK AND RANCH CUP. The meals also do not come with a drink so it makes your 15$ "combo" into more like 20$ if you want a drink and any dipping sauce. Very aggravating considering it's like the only place to eat in Fillmore that isnt generic or a chain. For the price I often just get fries to make me less hungry until I get home.

This is not fast food…. Even if it’s advertised as such, pretty tasty, but pricey food. Gyro and fries over $20. Looking at about $20 a person. Pricey, for what it is. But it was tasty.

This place used to be better... especially the fries. The burgers are great. Im not sure what happened to the quality of food here? In all fairness, we have noticed a downward trend of food quality at most restaurants lately. Even Wood Ranch has fallen hard in food quality and taste.

I drove passed this place several times on my way home. Finally had a chance to try this place out, mainly for chili cheese fries and burger. After eating here, I wish I kept going. Not worth the stop, food sucks actually. The burger is small, the chilli for the chili fries is mixed old with new, not tasty at all. I would not recommend this place. Boo you

I rate this place low for 1 reason. I have gone to Yanni's thrice with Boy Scouts. The first time, I ordered a single 8oz smoothie and it toke them forty three minutes to make it. All my friends had finished eating their cheeseburgers and fries and such before I had been served, plus half of it was just ice. The second time, and the only reason this has more than a 1 star on food, is because the next time I came I learned my lesson and ordered a cheeseburger and fries, while being starving beforehand, I couldn't finish the last few fries because I was so full. One of the few places where I can willingly eat a burger with everything on it instead of just ketchup. The third time, I ordered just a chocolate and vanilla milkshake, and I will be doing this again as it rivaled (but quite caught) In-N-Out's shake and was fairly large. Other than my first impression with what I assume was an accidental mistake, 4.5 stars, would recommend (just don't get smoothies.)

I thought I’d try this place out I just moved around here a few months ago and I saw the reviews online. The place smells horrible I ordered a chili cheeseburger and asked for the chili on the side. When I got home (5 minutes away) the burger (if you can call it that) was soggy and disgusting. Service sucks too!! Next time I’m going next door to Carl’s at least they know how to make a burger. Oh and asked for another side of crappy oily chili on my way out (before I tasted it, yuck) and got charged an extra $1.61, I understand times are tough but that’s not how you grow your business.

Walked in here this Sunday, it was surprisingly empty which seemed convenient because due to mothers day everywhere else was packed. Well let me tell you, it was empty for a reason. Our experience here was a bad one, food quality left a lot to be desired. The soup tasted like it of a can, the burger beef patties were bland with no taste, fries were plain, kebab was undercooked. It was bad we took 2 bites and went to Carls Jr instead.

Don't waste your money and time. Food is over priced and sucks. I got diarrhea the moment I pulled out the driveway.

Use to love this place but they double their prices. I got a hamburger with fried mushrooms $22. I could almost get 2 meals for the same price somewhere else. Ridiculous. Tp say the least I won't be going there anymore.sorr6 but not worth $22 they dont put as much pastrami as they use to either

This review is only for the milkshake I tried. It was so bad I decided to leave a review. Basically it taste like strawberry syrup & sour cream mixed together. I should have known the taste would be off when I saw the bright pink color inside the cup 😐

If I can rate this place 0 stars I ABSOLUTELY WOULD!!!! Make sure you double check your order because it’s going to be incorrectly if you order no cheese!! For someone that is lactose in tolerant this is absolutely the worst! They only care about the money. Management team please do better they are terrible. Definitely never recommend this place to anyone. What a waste of money. REFER TO THE PICTURE ATTACHED FOR CHEESE.

We did not have a good experience here. My friend did not get avocado on his bacon avocado sandwich and the batter on his fried zucchini was awful. I ordered the savory crepes with ham. It was supposed to come with hollandaise sauce but when I questioned the server, he said that the cook told him he didn't have any more hollandaise sauce. What?!? Could I get a heads up about that??? They were dry and nasty. Never again.

Just had their burger, fries and drink special. I am not exaggerating when I say this was the worst burger I have ever eaten. The bun was literally gooey it was so soggy. The hamburger was flavorless and the fries were limp. Never again.

I was driving by this place on my way home. I stopped with me family to eat. I ordered pastrami with no pickles and they gave to me with pickles. I sent it back theu sent me the same sandwich they thought they removed all the pickles but they did the cook the proceeded to yell that there is no pickle as the server and my self are looking at the pickles. In she she proceeded to tell the other cooks that there is no pickles so responded to her that there is and can she remake it. Reluctantly she did. The worse part is the owner is sitting down watching everything happen and offers no resolution. I also ordered a burrito witch was atrocious in flavor. Also told them no pico because my son is allergic to onion. The got mad and said I didn't order ot with no pico as the cashier told her I did. Honestly to spend 100 dollars on food and have it taste bad with bad service. Makes this place a no go.

Do not come to this place. I get people from outside the city to visit and they all have had bad experience at Yanni's. The 4.5 starts on google are misleading. Back in the day maybe was good, but now, this place is low quality.

Disappointing first experience after reading positive reviews on this place. Our pickup order was incomplete and food was substandard. Onion rings were missing, French fries were undercooked and I found a hair in my burger! Needless to say we lost appetite after that.

I’ve heard this place is good. The down fall is in drive through takes soo long. Takes 5mints for the second drink. Then when the lady gives the bag of food without another bag. The bottom bag burn my hands just by holding it. Too expensive

!!Overpriced. Horrible service!! The young lady at the register is very unprofessional, bad attitude and rude. Even after her horrible attitude we remained polite. My table requested service and called her ma'am and in return she snapped at us saying "Don't call me Ma'am! Shortly. We were not finished dining when suddenly she came back to snatch our plates off the table. Rushing us to get out. Even to the point of flashing the lights to force us to leave. I don't understand how this establishment allows employees so disrespectful to remain employed. This place has an issue and it's at the register taking people's orders. If you want to be disrespected and treated like a nuisance look no further this is the place for you. Horrible experience. Just don't. Go elsewhere.

I went in today and got a double cheese burger with zucchini fries. The burger was flavorless and the zucchini fries were extremely crunchy, while the batter they were dipped in was still doughy and chewy. This was the first time that I was extremely disappointed with my food at Yannis, along with my family my father ordered the 2 x 2 x2 special and his pancakes were dry and tough, bending and breaking with cracking along the whole bottom to where as a pancake should not be crumbling if a tear was made. These pancakes seemed to be frozen and then defrosted and microwaved and served to the general public. This is not meant to be a mean spirited review, just wanting this to be seen and the correct action take place to make some much needed changes to happen. I love Yannis, but the quality of food has decreased.

We always stop at Yanni's when we drive through Fillmore and I always get the same breakfast. This last time we stopped i got the same breakfast I was so disappointed. The pancakes felt like they were in the fridge and microwaved. They were NOT made fresh also the same with the hash browns. I'll never have breakfast there again.

I cant rate the place. We stopped to get some lunch before attending a wedding in town that evening and we walked right out because It smelled like sewer, I hope they get that fixed so we can try the food.

I tried to give this place another chance, but again it disappointed. The hamburger bun was literally flattened. The lettuce wasn’t dried enough so the hamburger was slippery and dripping water. This same exact thing happened the last time a few years ago. The fries were ok, but that’s about it. Way over priced. I paid 20 dollars for a cheeseburger combo. I don’t understand how you can get a hamburger so terribly wrong especially when you market that you have the best charbroiled burgers in town. I also think the menu is so confusing, so many options from Mexican food to Mediterranean food. I think focusing on a quality burger would be enough.
