If you’re ever in Gilroy and looking for the perfect breakfast spot, OD’s Kitchen is an absolute must-visit. This small, family-owned gem has been part of the community for decades, and it’s easy to see why locals and visitors alike keep coming back. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels like stepping into a friend’s kitchen. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, treating every guest like family. Even on busy weekends, they go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable and have everything you need. The food? Simply phenomenal. The portions are huge, and everything is cooked to perfection. Their omelettes are fluffy and packed with flavor, and the breakfast potatoes are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The biscuits and gravy are some of the best I’ve ever had—rich, hearty, and made from scratch. Some of my personal favorites: 🥚 The Santa Fe Omelette – perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. 🥞 The pancakes – light, fluffy, and big enough to share (but you’ll probably want to keep them all for yourself). 🍳 The Kitchen Sink Skillet – it’s got everything and is perfect if you’re extra hungry. The only thing I would say i wish they had air conditioning it was a little hot in there.

Down in Gilroy for a quick stop and then lunch, and everyone I spoke to about where to get the best salmon sandwich agreed that OD's Kitchen puts out the best sandwiches in town...Especially the salmon sandwich! So, that's exactly what I got, and it was Spectacular! 5 stars all day long☆☆☆☆☆

My dad’s absolute favorite breakfast spot! He was a massive fan of the kitchen sink, and we all delighted in sharing it—though we only tackled half! His mornings were a perfect blend of delicious breakfast and strong black coffee. This place will forever be etched in my memory, representing his love for family and those cherished breakfast moments spent together! I wonder if the staff even realize they’re a part of his happy place! Today, April 1st, 2025, we stopped by on the way to his viewing after he passed!

If you're having a rough morning treat yourself to a nice breakfast. I wouldn't normally get sweets this early but if you skip the syrup, this french toast has a lightly sweet flavor from the mix, and the berries were summer-fresh. Might as well make it a combo and have some protein l 😅 The staff was delightful and kept my coffee full the whole time.

Busy Saturday morning breakfast and the chef offered me samples of their salsas for my chilaquitas. Wife's Santa Fe omelet was perfect. Staff member made me an off menu mocha. We really enjoyed our visit.

I have been coming to OD's kitchen since 1995, The food has always been consistently good, and the service has always been great. I just went again since their big remodel opening, and it's great, the same cozy OD's feel and layout - just upgraded. The ambiance is like you're in a home kitchen having good food. Even the owner was serving food which shows how humble they are. Thank you OD's

Update February 2024: They have been closed for way too long. But, now that they're back we gave it a try. Everything was fantastic. Bacon was crispy and delicious eggs and Hash browns and toast were great. California Omelet delicious as well. Be sure you ask for some verde salsa, it's super tasty. To go country fried steak and eggs very awesome. Steak tender and flavorful. They are back indeed. Go give it a try you won't be disappointed. Service is great considering how busy they are. This was a weekend.

An amazing little place with some amazing food. It gets busy here so I recommend getting here when it opens. The extra effort is worth it for some of the best food around. Prices are great for the quality and quantity of the food and the staff is super attentive.

OD's is always delicious. This was my first time dining in with them. The chilaquiles were spicy and FANTASTIC. Great portions for great prices and the food came out hot & fast. Excellent service. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Gilroy. It's a hole in the wall for sure but it's a gem well worth your while.

Was on a road trip and searched for top restaurants in the area. Was very pleased with the selection and the prices. The food was served fast, service was amazing. We asked for suggestions and she asked if we were in a sweet or savory mood. She gave us great recommendations! Looking forward to stopping in on my next visit through the area.

Went for Saturday breakfast at 10am and got seated right away. Food was great and service was quick. We got the pork chop platter and the linguica omellette with side of pancake and French toast. We recommend this Gilroy gem and we will be back.

The food was good. The chicken fried steak breading was fantastic, the steak was tender but the coating did not stick. But the overall breakfast was delish.
