Opiniones de Trattoria Amici Glendale
Outstanding food. James, the Chef and owner is amazing at his craft and you will be back. The friend chicken is one of the best I've ever had. And the meatloaf is better than my mom's. Shhh. And I went for brunch and the Eggs Benedict was outstanding, as expected. Go try it!
We’re regulars here. I’m going to be straightforward: service at this place is inconsistent at best. We’ve had experiences that would’ve made most people not come back. But we do. And it’s because of Gilberto. When he’s our server, everything runs the way it should. He’s present, polished, confident, and actually understands hospitality. He knows the menu, makes great recommendations, remembers us, and handles the table like someone who takes pride in his work. There’s a clear gap between his level of service and most of the staff. It’s noticeable. The food is good — that’s part of it. But Gilberto is the reason we return. If management is paying attention, he should be leading a team, not just serving tables.
We ate dinner tonight for the first time in a while and we are amazed at how great this restaurant is. The service was fantastic and the food was amazing. I loved the squash blossoms, they are a personal favorite of mine. The octopus salad is the best I've ever had, same with the ribeye steak. Even my daughter's spaghetti with meatballs was fantastic and made with fresh pasta. I highly recommend getting the pasta carbonara, my wife ordered it and LOVED it. She is a great chef and is very picky about her food, so that says a lot! We ordered a variety of deserts and they were all great. The service was excellent and the staff is super friendly. We ate on the patio and it was Christmas time at the Americana - the atmosphere was wonderful. I highly recommend eating here, you won't regret it!
Our server/Host/manager, ADRIAN was exceptional and took such good care of us last night. He was courteous, friendly, attentive and had always a smile on his face. Our food, especially my pasta on the cheese wheel was superb! We'll definitely be back and hope to have him as our server again!"
This places was amazing. Starting from the look all the way to the stellar service. From the welcome time all the way until you leave. Servers, Waitress, the welcome people all of them were amazing. Amazing atmosphere. I personally don’t like Italian food (my boyfriend does) and we went there. What I can tell you is that I am going back! Good was delicious 😋… You should try it
I visited Trattoria Amici at The Americana at Brand for a weekday lunch, and it was such a pleasant experience. Since the weather was beautiful, we chose to sit on the terrace, which turned out to be the perfect decision. The outdoor seating offers a wonderful view of the lively Americana promenade, creating a relaxed and stylish atmosphere where you can truly unwind. The space feels versatile, making it equally suitable for a family outing, a casual yet elegant date, a group gathering with friends, or even a business lunch. The menu features classic Italian cuisine prepared with a California twist, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. I was impressed to learn that the pasta is handmade daily, which I will definitely try on my next visit, but this time I was in the mood for pizza. We also ordered the calamari and the grilled salmon, both of which were delicious crispy and light calamari and perfectly cooked salmon with a flavorful balance. Their beverage menu is another highlight, offering a wide selection of wines and creative cocktails. Even the non-alcoholic berry based drink I tried was refreshing, vibrant, and full of natural flavor. Overall, this place combines quality food, attentive service, and a beautiful setting, making it a spot I look forward to returning to.
Great Italian dinner at Amici Trattoria in the Glendale Galleria! We started with some great cocktails, the Silk Road, Amelia, and cucumber gimlet. For food we enjoyed the lobster ravioli, salmone alla piastrone, la carbonara, and crostino al salmone. The tiramisu for dessert was delightful. The staff was excellent, accommodating, and quick. We sat on the dog friendly patio. Recommend!
That place was packed, but we still found a table. Everything was clean, and the server was really nice and helpful with the menus. The carbonara was spot on, very yummy! The Rigatoni Norcina, on the other hand, had too much truffle mushroom flavor. I’m not a mushroom person, so it wasn’t my first choice. The wine was cold and good too. We just sat down, and after about 10 minutes they served our pasta, it was really fast and delicious. 10/10, will definitely come back again!
This place is my personal “comfort zone” 🥰—the spot I run to whenever the urge for genuine Italian coziness strikes. The menu isn’t sprawling, but every dish that does make the cut is dialed-in perfection. Pro tip: ask your server about off-menu specials—there’s often a hidden treasure or two waiting in the wings. Why I keep coming back • Service that sparkles: prompt, friendly, and genuinely happy to see you. That energy makes every bite taste better. 🙏 • Desserts worth a detour: the molten lava cake and tangy-sweet lemon sorbet are otherworldly—my non-negotiable finales. 😍💛 • Standout plates: – Pastas: silky, saucy, unforgettable. – Risotto: pure velvet—chef’s-kiss divine. 😲 – Amici salad: crisp, colorful, perfect. – Caprese & Caesar: textbook classics done right. – Pizzas: wood-fired bliss. – Lamb chops & other meats: reliably satisfying. – Mashed potatoes: cloud-soft comfort. – Steak & fish: solid supporting players. • Wine list: thoughtfully curated with something for every mood. Whether you’re after a cozy family gathering, a relaxed catch-up with friends, or a quietly romantic evening 💍, this hidden 💎 delivers every time.
Went there with family on a bright Spring day, celebrating Easter. We walked in and grabbed an outdoor table. I guess with the beautiful weather and cool breeze, the food just tasted even better! Dishes ordered were fried calamari and different pasta. Seafood were fresh, and the pasta were extra delicious. Pasta was made "in house" were fresh and just the right chewiness. I was pleasantly surprised to receive 1/2 of a lobster to my pasta. All the sauces were delicious. Don't skip their desserts! We tasted their tiramisu and custard; both were unique and not too sweet.
Amici at the Americana is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were treated to an incredible dining experience. The food was simply amazing! It was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish exceeded expectations. In fact the carpaccio was better than my favorite restaurant in Miami and that is hard to beat. What truly set this experience apart was the outstanding service. The manager, Luis, went above and beyond, checking in with us multiple times to ensure everything was perfect. His warmth and attentiveness made us feel truly valued as guests. A huge pleasure dining here, and I can't wait to come back. Highly recommend!
Had the best Sunday brunch at Trattoria Amici at The Americana! We got lucky snagging an outdoor table around 11:30 AM without a reservation, but by noon, the place was packed—so if you’re coming on a weekend, I’d definitely recommend booking ahead. The ambiance was perfect for a relaxed brunch, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. One thing I love about this place is that it’s dog-friendly—we brought our pup, Cooper, along, and the staff was so welcoming. They even brought out a water bowl for him, which was such a nice touch! Now, onto the food. We started with the Caesar Salad and the Melanzane Alla Parmigiana. The salad was fresh, crisp, and perfectly dressed. The eggplant parm was different from what I expected, but it was super flavorful and really delicious. For our mains, we shared the Lemon Ricotta Pasta and the Salame Pizza. The pasta was good—nice balance of creamy and citrusy—but probably not something I’d order again. The pizza, though? Perfectly thin-crusted and absolutely delicious. You can never go wrong with their pizza! Overall, Trattoria Amici gets a solid 5/5 from me. The food was great, the service was even better, and the whole experience was just easy and enjoyable. Whether you’re coming for a casual brunch, date night, or bringing your pup along for a meal, this place is always a win. Just make sure to grab a reservation if you’re coming during peak hours!
Just dined at Trattoria Amici, and overall, everything was good. The place is nice, and the staff are professional. However we waited almost 35 minutes for the food but I considered it as a weekend traffic. The food was great, especially the Lasagna Verde made with spinach lasagna highly recommended! The Carbonara pasta was also well-made and sort of traditional, and the Pizza Margherita was good, although I expected a bit more for an Italian place. The Lemon Sorbet dessert was smooth and cool.
We sat at the bar and Sam waited on us. Greeting was good and then it went down hill. He spent all his time checking out the dishes in the dishwasher and if the glasses were clean. Salad and entree arrived at exactly the same time, which was very disappointing. That have contributed to the fact that the pasta was pretty dry and stuck together by the time I finushed my salad. Sam never acknowledged that our dinner or our salad had arrived. He never asked if we needed anything else or if we needed another drink. In fact, he never spoke to us again until our dinners were cleared. We had to ask for another glass of wine and we had to ask for dessert. We often give the bartender a pass because they get so busy serving all the drinks for the restaurant. But Sam was not busy, Sam ignored the only two people he had to wait on. I had the vegetarian pasta, which was just okay. My husband had the lobster ravioli and said it was very good. Caesar salad was good, but generally they are anyway. We had tiramisu for dessert and it was delicious. The atmosphere is delightful, and it's too bad that you have someone like Sam truly ruining the experience. If he is the valued employee, he just needs to be in a different position!! We are out of from out of town so won't be back anyway. My advice to those who do go would be to tell them not to bring everything at once. Sit at a table and take in the ambiance. It looked to me like the waiters understood their job far better than this bartender!
The patio is great and obviously a good spot for people watching. Amaro Negroni was pretty good, unfortunately it took a while and arrived after my food despite being ordered at the same time. The pizza Prosciutto Di Parma was average. It was a very American take on it with too much shredded cheese, partly my fault for assuming they would use fresh mozzarella.
I frequently visit this restaurant with my sister because it is conveniently located near my home and we have a beloved mushroom pasta dish, which we order without sausage. Typically, I have a satisfactory experience and enjoy the food. However, my most recent visit was beyond disappointing due to poor service, which left a lasting negative impression. Though I am not usually one to complain or call out individuals, I feel it is important to highlight that those in the hospitality industry should maintain a friendly demeanor, as nothing taints a dining experience more than unpleasant service. Upon arrival, the hostess, who rudely, instructed me to wait for my party in a manner that lacked professionalism, literally had me standing at the door till my party arrived. This encounter was so unsettling that I had to step outside to regain my composure. Once seated, our server, a tall gentleman, displayed a level of indifference that was quite shocking. The food was served cold, the beet salad was devoid of beets, and the lettuce was wilted, prompting me to send it back. Unfortunately, this experience has led me to reconsider returning to one of my favorite spots. My intention in sharing this review is to emphasize the importance of hospitality workers finding alternate careers if they lack the enthusiasm for their current roles since they work directly with people and food where a positive atmosphere is crucial.
We ordered the seafood pasta and carbonara. The clams were not properly purged, so I ended up biting into sand. Our water was never refilled, and when our friends ordered beers, they never received them and had to ask more than three times—only to be served the wrong beers in the end. The best thing we had was the fried calamari. The restaurant seems popular mainly because of its location. The food was very mediocre, the service was below average, but the atmosphere was great. I would not come back.
I generally try to see the good in restaurants and service establishments and avoid leaving negative reviews. Unfortunately, this experience was an exception. On December 23, 2025, between approximately 4:00 and 5:30 p.m., the hostess at Amici provided very poor service. She was condescending and unwelcoming from the start. Despite numerous open tables visible on the patio, we were told there would be a one-hour wait for our party of three adults, one six-year-old, and one one-year-old. Her tone made it clear she did not want to accommodate us. We were surprised by the stated wait time, especially after asking a waiter if the restaurant was busy. He responded that it was not and that it was actually a good time to be seated. Given that it was the holiday season, we decided to wait anyway. While waiting, I observed multiple parties being seated immediately on the patio with no wait time and no text notification. I confirmed this by speaking directly with those guests. Still, I gave the benefit of the doubt. We received a text in less than an hour stating our table was ready. At that time, my family was only a few steps away, watching the fountains, clearly visible from the patio area and approaching the entrance. Despite this, the hostess refused to seat me, insisting that the entire party had to be physically present. I calmly explained that they were walking toward the table and were no more than 15 steps away. She abruptly refused again and defensively stated, “I am not being difficult,” which felt dismissive and unnecessary. From the initial interaction to the final refusal, the experience felt judgmental and deliberately unaccommodating. This was a very unpleasant experience, and I hope future guests are not treated the same way.
