I know Applebees can be hit and miss and I know in these post covid days there are still challenges. However we had a great visit. it was not crowded, but were greeted and seated quickly. Our server seemed to taking care of half the restaurant but did an amazing job. The food while average was very well prepared, great flavor. Loved the blackened salmon. I went here to have a few drinks with friends. The drinks were good and reasonably priced. They have tvs in the bar area and variety of music playing, the server was really nice and we didn’t have to wait long for our order. My friend had the won ton tacos and he enjoyed them.

Cool and laid back atmosphere. Clean. Great host and servers. Restrooms are also very clean. A place I’d recommend to others, and one I will frequent as much as possible.

This particular location is pretty laid back. The employees I've met are pretty cool and will take care of you at the bar. I ordered the dessert after I ordered a burger and some fries.

I can't give it 5 stars because of other times I've come, where it was ok service and ok food. However, this visit was excellent! I went in to eat and get some work done. The service was really above and beyond. The person sitting next to me suggested the Blackened Salmon with blackened shrimp in buttery garlic, which is really a combination of two different meals. It was a great combination! I had it with garlic mashed potatoes and garlicky green beans. I was stuffed!!

Service was very good but we asked for extra napkins and they brought us cocktail napkins which was odd. Food was good but fries were overcooked. The portions were huge. The $1 dessert was moist, delicious and decadent. Overall we enjoyed.

A decent place overall! Their drinks are tasty, and fairly cheap (I enjoyed a Long Island for $2 and margaritas for $.50). Our server was very attentive on a busy night, and did not rush our ordering process while we were indecisive. The food was up to par and freshness was a 10/10. Would definitely recommend.

the wait staff was friendly and I think did a good job for having only two people. it was very slow when we went however, the food could have been better. i got the chicken tenders and the only thing that tasted good was the fries. the chicken tenders looked and tasted like frozen off brand tenders you would get at Walmart. I remember this place having decent food and now it's just sad.

There is a reason I have not been to Applebee's in a number of years. I decided to check it out today since they remodeled. The inside is much nicer but that is about it. The service is slow and the food is just as bad as I remember. We tried the spicy honey mustard chicken sandwich and there was nothing spicy about it. It was just plain honey mustard. We got it with the Mac and cheese side which was nothing but some overcooked penne pasta mixed with Alfredo sauce and topped with a piece of bacon and some shredded cheddar. The only good thing we had were the chicken wonton tacos. I am not sure how Applebee's stays in business. It must be the bar traffic.

Service is good, friendly, and reasonably quick. However, there is mold growing in the ceiling tiles and the musty smell is a bit overwhelming. Adds a undesired “flavor” to the food. I’d find another Applebee’s until this mold issue is resolved.

Used to be pretty decent as far as Applebee's goes, and maybe we caught them on an off night, but I doubt that as it's Saturday and there were literally three couples in the entire bar area and maybe three more tables in the rest of the place. Ordered drinks, which took longer than it should have considering the very low occupancy, and they came in poorly cleaned glasses that still tasted of soap and had visible remnants of the previous guests. Most of the patrons were the fruit flies that were hanging out around the mixers. We ended up leaving rather than ordering food, especially after the $10 Long Island. I think Applebee's in general has declined in quality all around, but this one more so than some others. The one in Cedar Hill was always pretty good and I used to frequent the place, but sadly it has closed as I found out when we decided to go there instead. Arrived to find a completely dark and empty building, even the signage gone. Kinda sad.

Nothing stood out about this place. Environment was dead, service took 15mins for the first round of beers to come and longer for the second round. We came in before lunch so it was basically empty. 1st and last time we go there.

This used to be my favorite restaurant, I ate here almost every day with my daughters, but for a while now the service has become terrible. Today, after months, I came back and what a bummer. The same lady with glasses who barely wants to walk ignored our arrival. I waited a while and she never greeted me or gave me a table, which she expected me to stay at. Well, as usual, I left and here I am enjoying good service and delicious food at Chili's. I had to change it. Never again. Bad treatment for terrible service, I will not return

Very bad experience.. I wasn’t greeted nor seated .. after waiting 5 minutes I seated myself .. I had to ask for a menu … it took well over 30 minutes to receive my food.. it was only 1 young lady working the entire restaurant by herself.. I spoke with the manager Amber about it .. I expressed to her that if your restaurant is shorthanded, then your face need to be at every table as a manager… I didn’t find it fair at all that only 1 person and her name is Alayna .. she was doing everything by herself while the other workers walking around with their phones out in and out the kitchen .. Alaynas drive and work ethic was so uplifting and energetic.. she just smiled thoroughly it .. I even told Amber the manger she deserves a raise .. really doing 3-4 jobs at once … Amber was not managing at all.. I was there over 2 hours and Amber never acknowledged the customers … I will not be returning no hospitality at all .. food was hot .. not as tasty but hot ..

Went in at 1 a.m. and no one showed up at the front desk for 2 minutes, so we grabbed a menu and sat ourselves down. The place looked alright and eventually someone came to take our order which we ended up going with a burger combo ($10.00 ~) and some boneless wings($13.00~) which I think was around 10+ pieces? It just came with 3 celery sticks and a small container of ranch and had to buy a drink separately which was another $3+ and with taxes it all came out at $30. For the price of the burger I feel that it was fair but once I took a bite I noticed straight away that it was just way too greasy and had to take off the lettuce from how soggy with grease it was. Would not recommend unless you like stuff greasy.. oh and the fries were decent at best. For the boneless buffalo wings we could just tell from first glance that they were going to be no better than the ones you can buy from walmarts frozen section and we were completely right. For almost $14 just for the wings, we felt robbed. No sauce. Dry. Small. Just a very underwhelming experience all around. For that price they are by far the worst I've had. Will not be coming back to this place 3/10

Came in 6/26 at 11:30 immediately ordered 1 salad 1 entire 1 dessert took 1hr 30 min for the all you can eat entire & couldn’t even get all i could eat lost my appetite waiting. Had to wait 45min for a refill. Did get everything until 1:30.. i visited 2 times 2 weeks before this same problem

I was the first customer of the day nobody at the door and waited for five minutes to be seated. I order a few drinks which came out pretty fast. The host sat two more parties down after me and the server didnt even take my order til after the two parties ordered their food. I order an appetizer and an entree. After waiting over 25 minutes food finally came out and it was just the entree totally forgot my appetizer . Server didn’t even refilled my cup even after a spill that occurred because they put the plate too close too my cup. The server was plenty attentive to all other tables but mine. Maybe it was a racial thing bc I was the only colored person dinning in or they thought I wouldn’t tip much or something but I do tip a lot for good service. As he approached us again, he asked us what we wanted & I requested a menu, he rudely walked off to get the menus but it took him a couple minutes to bring them to us due to assisting someone else. apparently they didn’t clean the menus either b/c ketchup came out of the menu don’t know if it was intentional, but that was the last straw, I didn’t even get my complimentary water NOTHING b/c the customer service was so awful. I’ll go back to eat again but I will not go to the bar as long that bartender is serving. By the time we got up to leave the parking lot smelled like weed & the people that were occupying the seats were walking back into the establishment smelling just like it.

Absolutely disappointing. Got the irresista bowl. My rice was so under cooked it was crunchy, the lettuce was wilted, and the tortilla strips were stale.. asked to speak to the manager she offered me a different dinner. I took chicken strips because, how can you mess that up right? Wrong. My food was made "fresh" yet the fries were cold and my chicken strips weren't even drained from the grease. They didn't care. At all. Plus the ceiling kept dripping water inches from our table.

After being directed to the very back of the building I was ignored for a to go pick up order for 10 mins that stated it was ready. A waitress finally stopped talking to security long enough to ask if I had been helped. Only to have to wait for another girl to tell me my food isn’t ready. 15 mins later I still do not have my food. Terrible service. I’m disappointed for a first impression.

My experience at this location was extremely horrible! We eat at Applebees in Louisiana all the time. Unfortunately,when this plate was served I questioned the portion. Our waitress was extremely nice and apologetic. In my asking, to speak to the manager whom acted as if I wanted something or that I was being a bother to her was not so nice. Her customer service skills stunk and made the experience worse....had she handled the sight of that plate better....which was supposed to be a sirlion steak not a meat pattie, I may have felt better. I explained we order the same in Louisiana and it looks nothing like that. I assume this location has so much flow that serving smaller portions is the way to go. The managers attitude let me know Applebees has plenty money,could care less and doesn't need mine. I will definitely be back to the grand prairie area....but not this particular Applebees! Manger was horrible....food was so-so....our waitress was excellent! Customer service beats it all!!!!

Food was super bland. We ordered the 2 for $34 i had the fiesta lime chicken, and my husband had the Chicken Alfredo with broccoli. The Alfredo barely had any flavor and the rice that came with the chicken barely tasted like anything. The waitress was also taking care of the bar so she barely checked up on us. The atmosphere was nice and they had music playing. But never again will I ever come here. To any Applebees for that matter.

We had a party of 6 and had to wait almost an hour to be seated, then we had to wait even longer for our food. The grease used to cook the food was old because the All-you-can-eat shrimp and fish and chips ordered we almost black. We didn't complain because they were very short-staffed and the manager was in the kitchen cooking. Our waiter Wes was very attentive even in being very busy. This is the 2nd time in a week that we’ve have a bad experience here. Both times I used curbside to-go. The first time our order was more than 30 minutes late when I decided to go in. At that time I was told that my order was being made. Tired of waiting, I canceled that order. I returned yesterday as my little one wanted macaroni and cheese with cheese sticks. I called in 3 minutes after my order was due to be ready and was advised that they had no curbside runners only to go in and 1) see a bunch of servers standing around and 2) to find that my order was not ready. When we returned home with his food we noticed the food was thrown into a single container. The macaroni softened the cheese sticks and it was disgusting. Each time we’ve ordered this the macaroni has always been placed in a to-go container with a lid. Definitely will not return. I’ll drive the extra mile for better service.

Update my review I made it take out order yesterday bring it to work and all the food was very cold. My ribs, hamburger and wings. Didn't know a ribeye could be bad. Ribeye is like ice cream. some are better than others. Hard to be bad but it was. Not to mention the mash potatoes had a couple long hairs in them. Terrible .

Upon our arrival, we were greated by a locked front door. It was 2pm on a Sunday. No closed sign. People were inside eating, as well. We waited for over 5 minutes outside, before someone came and unlocked it and let us in. She apologized for the door, but didn't say why it was locked. While we were there, we saw many other visitors approach the door and also discovered it to be locked. A few decided not to wait and left. We almost left ourselves. We we told it was going to be a little bit of a wait, even though they were not that busy. It did take forever to get things. They even forgot the ranch for my burger and fries, so I had to wait quite a while to bring some...food growing cold. Then I hear a waitress deliver it to another table and the ladies there didn't know why they got extra ranch, but took it for the kids. Never got asked to refill drinks. This was the worst service I've had at this location in over 4 years. This is where I also always go for Veterans Day. Not anymore. No tip left either. Would you tip that?

At first the server was nice, but after delivering the drinks and my brownie bite, she was never came back to our table. I saw her talking to other customers at other tables, but she never checked on us at all. We only got one round of drinks and decided to ask someone else for the check since we obviously weren’t being helped. When she finally did bring the check over, she was very short with us and walked away. The bathroom was disgusting. One stall couldn’t lock, one stall was unusable, and the last stall didn’t have toilet paper. Really the only positive thing I can say was the brownie bite was delicious and the host was very kind to us.

I had a horrible experience at this location from the moment I walked in. Despite there being no one in front of me, I had to wait a significant amount of time just to be seated. ​The service didn't improve once I was at the table. I waited an incredibly long time just for the spinach artichoke dip, and it was infuriating to watch a table that arrived and ordered after me receive their full entrees before my appetizer even hit the table. When my main course arrived—the O-M-CHEESE Burger—it was so salty it was almost inedible. ​To make matters worse, the environment was a mess: ​Cleanliness: The restaurant was filthy. The table next to me stayed covered in dirty dishes for the entire 1.5 hours I was there, and the floors clearly hadn't been swept. ​Atmosphere: It was 30 degrees outside, and the security guard kept going in and out every 5 minutes. This kept the restaurant freezing and made the meal even more uncomfortable. ​Management: The manager seemed completely overwhelmed and unable to address the slow service or the state of the dining room. ​I won't be returning. There are plenty of other places to eat where the staff actually cares about the customer experience and basic hygiene. The best part of my visit was my server Bridgette. She was friendly and a decent server. Kinda absent when I needed her but she did good for her second day.

I havent been to Applebee's in years, but my husband and I decided to go try the new om burger or something like that because we saw it on tiktok and it looked amazing, well the cheese at the bottom was not even hot, I asked for a place and never got it. The food was honestly mediocre fries were not even good either Will never try Applebee's again.

Extremely disappointed with the service at this Applebee’s. We were ignored when waiting to be seated, our refill requests were never fulfilled, and the only concern by the waitress Lawson seemed to be whether we were tipping. Definitely not coming back.

Let me start by saying this: nothing will probably be done, which is unfortunate, because the atmosphere is good but the staff is lacking. The bartender—I believe his name is Marcus—is very unprofessional. He is often gone from behind the bar. One day I was eating in the bar area when a new customer sat down and waited over 10 minutes to be helped. Marcus usually steps away from customers and goes outside. He hardly keep the bar area clean. It seems like his regular customers are used to his behavior, but this is still a business. I’ve visited on different days, and there was a female bartender—an African American woman with locs—who was very nice and attentive. You could tell she was about her money; she was nonstop and stayed behind the bar doing her job. The difference in service was very noticeable. I also overheard regular customers talking about how the place used to be fun when a bartender named Alexis worked there. I wasn’t around during that time, but based on what I heard, it sounds like the energy was much better. One night I came in and the atmosphere was actually refreshing. The music was mostly R&B, people were laughing and singing along, and it genuinely felt like a neighborhood-friendly Applebee’s. Unfortunately, that experience doesn’t seem consistent. I’ve noticed the manager has hired a lot of very young employees. Many of them leave their posts, customers are left standing around waiting to be seated, and employees are often on their phones. This Applebee’s is in a great location, but I can see why people are starting to choose Buffalo Wild Wings instead. Manager Ashley is usually in the office or standing with the bartender Marcus. There is another manager with curly hair whom I’ve seen helping out a few times. Overall, this place needs stronger management—managers who are willing to hold employees accountable. This location could be making a lot more money, but it feels like management is too friendly with employees, which makes it hard to be strict. Lastly, I do appreciate that there is security, which is important in today’s world. It’s just disappointing because this place truly could be thriving—especially here in Texas, Cowboys Nation. Ps save the auto response because we all know nothing will be change

I tried to give this place multiple chances because I had no problem with the food, but the service is some of the worst I have ever gotten. It is like every server, bartender and manager is allergic to making money here. No one checks to see if you want/need anything else, it feels like the vibe is that the customer's are a nuisance to the staff and they just simply can't be bothered to serve you. I love Applebee's as a brand but the Front of House in this location is clearly managed poorly and staffed with people that do not know or care about what they are doing. Would definitely not recommend coming here unless you are ordering your food To-Go.

The food is good here but oh my God the service is actually really bad. I literally asked for a refill when we received our appetizers and have not gotten any service since. It's been about 20 minutes since we got our refills. The place is not even close to being busy either. I definitely will not be coming back to this location. You can tell it's either understaffed or some tables are prioritized more than others. And just realized our waitress is also having to bus her own table. Applebee's get it together.

So when we got there server brought salads with no fork and we had to get the sitter to bring us forks and we asked her for crackers as well amd she brought us plastic forks and told us she would.let our server know about crackers 20 mins went by our server asked if we needed the crackers still like why do we need them now if we are almost done with our salads. Then when our food was brought out incorrectly as well two our parties steaks were raw then we called the manager and she did discount 2 free meals and his customer attentive ness really sucked. We love apple bees but wr e won't be going back there again we come from 3 hours also my daughter went 30 mins with no refill just horrible

The manager (Mickey) was very rude and disrespectful, as a manager her attitude and customer service etiquette is not acceptable! She is very highly disrespectful . I was simply and respectfully asking a question… if you was mad and had an attitude you should have called off love . Simple . 0/10 … as for the staff, Joshua was very nice and helpful throughout our trip … this was my first time since 2011 coming to Applebees and I was disappointed… new management needed

So I just had the worst experience I've ever had at Applebee's one of my favorite iconic American restaurants did I've been eating that forever so I go in for the half price appetizers and the waitress knows that we're there for the half price advertisers yet let us order appetizers that aren't on the special and charges us double the fact that she absolutely knew that we were expecting to have price and went ahead and put the orders in and wait till we ate them to inform us that they weren't? that is shady sheisty chicanery. An absolutely would not correct the situation, thanks a lot Linda I definitely will not be back.

Absolutely awful. We had the waitress Dominique, she assumed the worst of us and lectured us about smoking in the store, we had just emptied out our pockets and put everything on the table and were in the middle of having a deep conversation when she rudely interrupted us. We explained we weren’t even hitting them (we are both trying to quit) and then she proceeds to be an absolute stickler for the rules, which i COMPLETELY get but it’s the fact she was picking and choosing which customers had to follow them… the man in the booth a few tables away had two drinks at a time and she forced us to finish ours quickly if we wanted to order more. She was extremely inattentive to us and let our drinks sit at the bar melting for more than several minutes. The crazy thing is, she became more passive aggressive until the check came… THEN she wanted a tip… I don’t know about you but if she’s gonna be so stuck up about the rules then why didn’t we get any water when all we were doing is drinking alcohol? If she’s tried to add herself a tip when I made sure she knew why she didn’t deserve one on the receipt and CLEARLY WRITING $0 tip, I will be contacting the manager :) We had this happen at another location and I’m just waiting for her to try it too!

As a server myself, I try to be understanding and I am very patient when I go out to eat. However, as a customer, I had a terrible experience at this Applebee's location. The mozzarella sticks and boneless wings we ordered were both cold when they finally arrived. To make matters worse, they had a giant sign advertising half-price appetizers after 9 PM, but we were charged full price for them. I spent $100 for three people and got nothing but cold food. We waited 40 minutes before we even got drinks, and it wasn’t even our server who brought them—it was the host. Our actual server only came to our table once and, after that, the only refill we got was when we were about to leave. The restaurant wasn’t even busy since it was around midnight. I would have spoke to the manager, if he didn’t look just as clueless. I won’t be coming back to this location. Terrible service, cold food, and a huge waste of money.
