This is our go to spot for easy going, delicious, feel good mexican food. Everything tastes fresh and delicious, I love the nachos with pork, the salsa verde, and the burritos. The stuffed yams are also a rather unique and popular, delicious offering. Great spot for kids out back on a sunny day!

Outdoor seating is great very relaxed atmosphere. Pricing is very reasonable and food is delicious!!

Hands down some of the most delicious food in Sebastopol. Unbeatable service, atmosphere, and family friendly, plus a beautiful backyard. Truly a gem. Chips and guacamole are delicious, as are their steak burritos, Quesadillas, and kid’s bowls.

This is a sweet place right on the Gravenstein Highway outside Sebastopol. I’ve driven past many times before and finally stopped in for a late lunch- suffice it to say, this should have been my 100th visit and not my first. I had the stuffed yam with chicken and a BBQ’d/Smoked pork taco- both out of this world. Others on my party had the tofu temptation burrito- fabulously fresh and tasty, the breakfast burrito- insanely comforting, and the salad- quality micro greens, amazingly tasty cherry tomatoes (for this time of year), and other quality salad fixings. Definitely worth a stop the next time you’re passing by.

Their burritos are delicious and pretty hefty, which I appreciate. We took the food away, but the restaurant is best described as a beach shack and I mean that in a good way. They have outdoor seating as well. They have a little salsa stand so you can take as much as you want.

The food here is always fresh. I love the stuffed yam! Try it with the tofu verde, so good. It beats a burrito any day. Also I love the way they've changed the exterior area for seeding there's a lot more shade available now

Great place for yummy Mexican food! We had a large party (5 adults and 5 little kids) with some unusual food allergies. The Chef and staff were very helpful and accommodating. Comfy seats with pillows and large tables worked great for our group. Nice outdoor patio too.

Papas and Pollo is a must-visit! The food is authentic and delicious, especially the mesquite chicken salad. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is lively. Highly recommend!

Great text to order concept. No cash, bring your card - fine by me. Cheerful service. Good food, kid friendly, and most importantly vegan options. Filling portions. Salsas could be spicier or salted more yet are fresh and have good depth anyhow. On a beautiful day, take your meal to Ives Park a few blocks away. Great experience.

Papas and Pollo burrito is huge and wonderful! I take people to hand line next-door. But this restaurant has authentic Mexican food with its own twist. I’ll take true authentic Mexican over California cuisine any day ..

Lovely family restaurant. Great food. Salsa bar is always amazing. I get the Funky Chicken with jalapenos. BF gets the Burt Lancaster. Never any left overs.

One of my favorite local restaurants to go for dinner or lunch, pick-up or takeout! Great casual, friendly environment with great quality food! I love getting the yam with house tofu or roasted vegis. And great horchata!

I love the chicken on a hot tin roof burrito. The chips taste great and the employees are super friendly. I usually do pick up on orders, the food is ready in 15mins and its a very quick pickup. This restaurant is located in Sebastopol. I don't know why people are complaining about how “expensive” the food is. The burritos are huge and totally worth the $10 (cheap). This place is very unique and shouldn't be compared to a taqueria where you have no idea what quality of meat they are using.

At least once a week I have dinner here. Its consistently delicious, I trust their quality ingredients, and the service is very friendly. I highly recommend the stuffed sweet potatoes! Fish or carnitas are my favorites here. Also they use rice bran oil to fry their chips, the best in town!

Food is delicious, we always order the chicken on a hot tin roof burrito and the Elvis burrito and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is relaxing, very laid back seating with lots of windows. They also make a house made habanero sauce that is to die for! We tend to go right when they open, so parking is not an issue when they aren't super busy.

I can't believe I only ate here after moving out of Sonoma County! Their food is dank and im sure that would have been a weekly lunch spot for me.

They serve the very best mexican food because they use high quality ingredients. You've got to try their tortilla chips made on site. Their Beer Garden is a great place to meet up. Then Eat there or take home.

We ate often at Papa's and Pollo. The Burritos were very delicious and not the normal Beans and Cheese Burritos served by many other Burittto Mill's. They had great Vegan and Vegetarian options Unfortunately lately the portions are getting smaller and smaller and they charge for pretty much everything extra now. Even for the salad dressing they charge 75 cents. This is like a burger place would charge for ketchup. Their chips are unbelievable 3$ which are included in all other Mexican restaurant. And of course if u want to replace one thing in ur burrito with another equally priced item they will charge for that as well and not reimburse u with the stuff left out. I think there is room for improvement but overall a good place

They lost a star makin me pay for chips. I'd rather see a 10% price markup on food rather than paying for chips. It makes me sad :/ This used to be my favorite spot! Not sure if it still will be for charging $3 for 15 chips..

Fresh ingredients and very accommodating to dietary needs. I had their stuffed yam after a co-worker recommended it. It was so good! One of my favorite meals in town. They charge extra for chips and salsa. Their salsa was not very tasty. Wish they had a salsa with a little more flavor and spice. The atmosphere is fun and casual. You can see their BBQ going every morning.

Great burritos, got the paps y Apollo burrito, really good. Jalapeños at salsa bar were actually really spicy which I loved. Most Mexican restaurants provide chips for free but this place charges over $4 for them. Will pass on those next time.

We love this place and the food is great! Staff is super friendly and helpful, it's a very comfy place to eat. My only complaint is their salad dressings lack excitement but I enjoy the salad itself. Their use of sweet potatoes in a bunch of dishes is awesome too. Great place to check out!

This place is s real hidden gem. The outdoor seating on a nice day is difficult to beat. The food is no joke, great surf Mex... Burritos and tacos but well made with obvious attention to detail.

I got the pork burrito and unfortunately it was lacking in flavor. Rice is bland. Beans were good though! Overall it was ok if you’re hungry but I’m not sure I would order this one again. Fast friendly service! No chips included. Prices are a bit high.

This spot is super cute and the staff was really nice. I was, however, pretty disappointed with the food. I got the Elvis special (a burrito). Contrary to it's description, it was super light on cheese and came with a lettuce stuffed in the middle, which made for a lackluster meal. However, based on the other upsides, I would give this place another try in the future.

Open salsa bar, grilled salted Serrano peppers, and the best gourmet burrito here. Dairy free burritos here are worth the extra trip to get to this place. The lower stars is related to the wait time for an order, random hours and they are often closed on the weekend. I work near by but can't order anything because they will take more than a half hr to make one burrito and they treat me like they don't like me. I suppose they hate all nurses then, and deserve a lower review for the wait times and overpriced food.

I used to love this place! The cabbage and jalapeno salsa was divine! It has been a year or so since I've been back, but I have to say it's gone down hill fast! Their salsa had absolutely no taste or spice, and the papas and pollos burrito I just took a bite out of was definitely bad bad bad! There was for sure something expired or worse. I used to eat the heck out the "chicken on a hot tin roof" but this time I actually had to get my money back for the burrito. The chips however are amazing!!!! Beer is cold and yummy, staff was friendly and helpful. I hate leaving less j awesome reviews but the way I felt after leaving here was so gross that I had to warn peeps.

I typically pick up my food here as I live in the neighborhood.Recently,I ordered something other than a menu item: a super burrito with shrimp and a sm.bag of chips. At the register,my bill was a few pennies less than $26 ! I was dumbstruck. Although it was very good and a generous portion I can't justify spending that much on a single item. It is sad because it is obvious to me that not as many eat here as in the past. I mean,I can have a sit down meal at Martha's Old Mexico w/tip across town( and my son and I did recently). We both brought food home and he has a big appetite. Bottom line: If you want some business,roll back your prices or just sell to people who are willing to pay ridiculously for what you offer. My quarrel is with the prices and not the product

Restaurant has a nice outdoor seating area and a good sized indoor area. You order at the bar just inside the door, take a number and then food is delivered to your table. Staff were friendly and patient while we decided on our orders and food came out quickly. I ordered the Texas Bighorn burrito as i was very hungry and sure enough it was large enough. However it was almost all very bland rice, with some beans and virtually no meat whatsoever. It was also very dry and tasteless. The salsas from the little salsa bar tried their hardest but were overmatched. The Surf and Turf burrito suffered the same fate of virtually no meat or seafood. Friends tried the pork dishes and reported that they were better so I would stick with those. Burritos ran 13.95 so the food isn't cheap so I cannot in all honesty recommend the place.

This is a great eatery. I love this place for it’s seating. I appreciate everything they do regarding livable wages and safety precautions. They also serve a great salad. Their tofu is a great option as well. The food itself isn’t out of this world. A bit dry (black beans) so make sure to ask for extra salsa. There are taquerias nearby so if I’m doing takeout I’d rather just do those. If it’s dining in I’d come here for the service and scenery and variety of choices for every friend’s diet. I’m giving a low rating on the fact that the takeout here isn’t great, and my latest experience wasn’t great. I didn’t even get a lime slice with my taco! Limes with tacos are pretty necessary. The lack of some lime is basically a dealbreaker for me despite all of the positives of this restaurant. If I had known I would have gotten take out tacos at a place that does provide some lime. Recommendations: Not a fan of the potatoes here. I’d get the yams, avocado, the meats, and seafood. I think their pork is my favorite and quite special. The rice is good. I’ve had their burritos, tacos, nachos, salads. This place is pricey but that is because this is very much a dine-in restaurant; their menu just isn’t tailored well for take out.

The slowest service ever. Waited for over 40 mins to get a quesadilla, even though it wasn’t that crowded. Had to ask the kitchen 3 times and it still did not speeded things up.

I live in the East Bay, & whenever I drive through Sebastopol I stop here for a tofu burrito. Waited about 25 minutes for my order, got home 2 hours later to find a pork burrito instead. Super disappointing, as a lifelong vegetarian there was nowhere to go from there. Should also add that my $5 4 oz. guacamole container was brown around all edges. Update: March 2025: same exact thing happened again.
