Very nice staff! Ordered a sausage kolache and was good! Loved the fluffy soft texture of the bread! Had a slight sweet type/buttery taste. When i see the sausage hanging out,I know its about to go down LOL🥴😅🙌🏾

Monster breakfast tacos and for three bucks! You can't beat that. So far everything I've had here has been great. Kolachies, donuts, fritters just great.

This has been out “go-to” location for kolaches! Their apple fritters are awesome as well!

I went there this morning and ordered a ranchero and a few donuts. The food is good, and the staff seem kind and friendly. I only wish the donuts had more sprinkles, but besides that, everything tasted amazing.

My kids and I love this place. The staff remember you and are extremely friendly. The doughnuts and breakfast sandwiches are very good. It’s the only kolache my daughter will eat. Small non-chain shops like this are so rare. I hope it stays open for a long time.

Their breakfast tacos are fresh and made on order. Love their salsa! Donuts are tasty and my youngest loves the ham and cheese kolaches.

Wonderful little breakfast place! Best breakfast tacos in the area. Made to order. Staff is friendly, service is fast! Been going there for at least 15 years!

UPDATE — Went by last Saturday morning and the lights were out. A sign read “CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.” Not sure if this local landmark is now closed. Very sad if it is. Prior —- You have to love this place. The old fashioned donuts are the best. Kolaches and extras, like the breakfast burritos and croissants are really good. The servers are always quick and friendly.

Been going here since my parents brought me over 30 years ago. Still just as good as back then. What’s the point in visiting the big chain donut shops when you have this local gem serving the best kolaches, donuts and breakfast tacos in Clear Lake. Pay these guys a visit, you won’t regret it.

We're very prompt and the donuts were good as were the pigs in a blanket

I don't mean for this review to be harmful in any way, just giving honest feedback. To start off the customer service was excellent, my favorite items purchased were the Sausage, egg and cheese Croissant and donut holes. My least favorite was the large sausage kolache, similar to another review I read the sausage has a strong and unpleasant taste to it, I am not sure what it is but I could not finish it.

I have been coming here since I was a child and have always loved and supported this business and their food, but I’m really disappointed in the quantity and price of their sauce now. I always ordered extra sauce with my breakfast tacos for $0.25 extra per sauce which I already thought was a lot but was able to justify. Today I ordered tacos for myself and my family and got 4 extra sauces for $0.70 each. They were barely half full. $2.80 for 2oz max of sauce. I could’ve bought 16oz of salsa at my local grocery store for the same price. If you are going to charge that much for a very thin watered down sauce, the containers should be filled at the very least or go back to charging $0.25.

I usually love the kolaches here. But I don't know if they changed the recipe or I just got a bad batch. I've never had bad kolaches here until today. Whatever they're doing they need to do some sort of quality check. I actually drove out of the way for their kolaches and was pretty disappointed that they weren't the same as they usually are

Usually LOVE everything about this place, would 1000/10 recommend their kolaches and tacos! The frosted donuts tasted like the purple polish remover from nail salons (best way to describe it). I sadly was unable to eat this donut after multiple tries.

I came here for the first time today based on the pictures and positive reviews and I was taken aback at what I saw. The Ashley’s Donuts photos shown on google reviews are 5 years old. I didn’t realize that. The Ashley’s donuts we got today is nowhere near what it used to be. The place has not been kept up and now it looks run down. But hey that doesn’t necessarily determine the taste or the quality of their donuts and kolaches. Well, we tasted the donuts and kolaches and it was not good. The breading for the kolaches had some weird taste. Not sure if this is due to maybe, poor quality ingredients? This applied to all the breading on the small and large kolaches as well as the breading used for the croissants. The donuts were slightly better but it was still unimpressive. I ended up just throwing my whole breakfast away, since I couldn’t eat it. I could’ve easily gone to Dunkin’ Donuts down the street, but I enjoy going to my local Mom and Pop donut shops, since my experience has been really good. Unfortunately, Ashley‘s donuts is not a good representation of that. It feels like they have given up on their business and given up on the quality of their food. To top it off, the staff seemed unamused and dining inside is a big NO. The interior looks bleak and dreary and just sad. Oh and the person in charge of commenting on the business’s google reviews cannot take criticism and are a bit hostile in fact. So be weary if you decide to leave an honest review.

Yall rationing out here? This look like a corner of a slice of American cheese, barely melted. Bread was hard. Donuts tasted like they touched every surface then grabbed the donut. Overpriced 👎🏽

On the morning of 04/05/2025, I stopped by and purchased a sausage croissant to go. Later, while eating it at home, I discovered a white/grey hair intertwined in the egg. I immediately went to the bathroom to throw up. Finding hair in my food, especially after already eating part of it, was extremely disgusting. I would appreciate a refund due to this unpleasant experience.

I was on a mission for a spicy boudain kolache this a.m. First place I stopped at was sold out (b/c boudain kolaches are popular in SE TX). This place was close, so I tried it. They had endless rows of dried-out looking sausage kolaches, but no boudain. Fine- that's obviously their choice. I saw "ranchero" kolaches and thought "hey, I bet those have a lot of flavor and spice", so I bought some. Couldn't finish one. They were completely bland. No spice and very little flavor- like they were made in Minnesota or something. The people working there were nice and they probably have good donuts, but their kolache game is weak.
