Loved the food! Service was awesome...waiter very attentive. But your front entrance girl shouldn't be slouching and be more courteous. She never smiled once when we walked in nor when we left. Maybe she just doesn't want want to work.... Just a thought....

Wow, this place sure is high end! The building and atmosphere go hand in hand in terms of being spacey, relaxing, very clean, and overall enjoyable! The service as quick, knew what they were doing and tended to everything as asked by me. Food was also scrumptious, from the chips I got as a free starter to a great chicken soup and lastly to a lovely beef main course! All this amounted to an incredibly reasonable price to and honestly? IT's one of the better restaurants I've been to in a while! Very recommended, give it a go!

We gather for a family luncheon on our last trip to Laredo. My brother invited us to eat here for good Mexican food, steaks and seafood. We were not disappointed. The service was outstanding.

We recently had an event on Saturday in the big party room. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. Despite being a group of about 50 the food was out fast. Staff was very attentive from the start to the end of our event. The manager on duty was constantly checking in and making sure everything was well. Very well pleased and definitely will host other events there. Thank you!

I really do enjoy coming here,it's a usual spot of ours. The drinks are always good,as long as it doesn't get too busy,the drinks are made very well. The atmosphere is comfortable. We haven't had any issues so far with staff or food, the plates are big and always good. I'd like more events here tho, it used to be almost all fights were shown here or some type of event would be going on. I've seen mariachis here sometimes and those are always nice.

Service in the States is often very bad, with a few exceptions. Waiters don’t do their job as they should do it but the want to charge high tips. Restaurant is too dark, they are trying to have a kind of a Romantic Atmosphere but they create the opposite. Food is good though.

A must go restaurant if you're visiting Laredo. Food was spectacular and really authentic. Lots of flavor and big portions. The restaurant itself is beautiful and super clean, really looks upscale. Prices are in the higher end but it's definitely worth it. Our server was so nice and even tho he was busy he kept our drinks filled and asked every so often if we needed anything. Will come back when I'm in laredo again.

Ray was a friendly and helpful server. Service was super fast. The ribeye tacos were unbelievably good and the el Pastor tacos were excellent as well. My spouse and I are visiting from San Antonio....and we were so amazed at the extensive menu selections. If I'm correct, Taco Palenque in San Antonio menu defers quite a bit from this one. Nice staff, clean facility and nice ambient setting. I spoke to Mr. Victor P., one of the staff members and he was so pleasant, saying thank you for coming and glad you enjoyed your meal. Definitely recommend, two thumbs up 👍🏾 👍🏾

Great food and excellent service! Tried the pasta cuchi cuchi with chicken and it was delicious! Only thing for me is if you drink half and half (tea + lemonade) you have to specify otherwise they bring you unsweetened tea + sweet tea. But other than that everything is great, our waiter was outstanding.

I've been coming to Laredo every week for the last month. I've been trying to find a nice situation down restaurant instead of the usual fast food places. This gem of a spot hits the mark. First off, the plate of chips, beans and Chile they serve you before dinner... I can eat that by itself thank you very much! Delicious!! I ordered the Lengua ala Mexicana plate and WOW! The lengua was tender...the ranchero sauce was.... just wow. Wasn't a fan of the rice only because I was looking for spanish rice like I'm used to in San Antonio, and their beans are delicious. The corn tortillas I could eat with the beans and chile all day. My iced tea seemed a little watered down and not a fan of having to add sweetners at the table but oh well. If your in the mood for a good meal... Stop here and look no further.

This is my favorite of the chain. Their bean dip and crispy tortillas are one of my favorite thing that they give you to much on while you wait for food. I'm sure it's very basic but gotta say that bean dip is different from most others because I've tried to recreate it but it just doesn't taste the same. No clue if they put in some lard or something else but it's freaking delicious. The food itself is wonderful of course, I really their milanesa which is hard to pull off here because the meat for it in the US is much more thicker than the one from Mexico but it really taste like it came from the mother land. 10/10 no better dish unless you order something from the grilled meat section that never gets beat

Palenque Grill has a really good atmosphere — nice place to relax and enjoy some food. I ordered the Volcanes, and they were honestly really good. For the price, they’re a great deal and definitely something you can share. I also got the Chipotle Chicken, which was delicious. You can tell they actually take their time preparing the food because the flavor and quality were there in every bite. The only thing I noticed was the service was a bit slow at first. There were a lot of people, and only a couple of waiters, so I got forgotten for a little bit. But to be fair, I was eating alone, and my waiter was handling a big table of about eight people, so I understand why it happened. Overall, the food was excellent, and I’m definitely coming back. I wasn’t even in the mood to try steak this time, but just based on the Volcanes and the chicken, I can tell the rest of the menu is probably just as good.

First time as a adult in Laredo and I was impressed with the atmosphere , design and food at this restaurant , my long island ice tea was on point also , service was pleasant , salsa was good and tortillas were home made.

The food is great. They also have interesting selection of drinks. Overall, highly recommended. Just expect that there will be many people. You have to wait a little bit to be seated.

Chain restaurant. Expensive co.pared to the better food in the area. Employees were on their phones. Once we paid, they ignored us. We would have opened another tab and bought more drinks had they come back and checked on us.

Overall it was an ok experience. Went for the very first time on Valentine's Day. The one thing I did not like right off the bar was they had a modified menu for that day, very restricted to their normal menu which I had seen online. Needless to say, what I wanted from their regular menu was not an option on their Valentine's menu. That made the experience subpar. Ended up ordering the Palenque salad with grilled chicken, which was different but good by the way. Just not what I had planned for the evening. It's supposed to be upscale compared to their other restaurants Taco Palenque but the food is basically the same just a lot pricier. Not worth the extra cost, plus you can't beat the salsa bar at Taco Palenque. Would not recommend this place over taco Palenque. Save some money and go their instead of Palenque grill. The staff was top notch though, extra points for that.

Is a good option in town because there aren’t many other places. More a place for celebrations and business dinners. If you are looking something for a romantic dinner this is not the place.

Personally ordered the $35 Mar y Tierra with includes FAJITA steak (picture included) & I was completely disappointed due to it was very greasy/chewy/gummy & strongly believe this should not be in your restaurant at all BECAUSE Your place is at a higher scale to serve this unpleasant fajita steak. It was replaced with the $50 Rib-Eye Steak tasting much better & this should probably be your entry level steak, yet I was still disappointed because BOTH STEAKS served above WERE ABOUT 1/2" thick INSTEAD OF A 1" THICK traditional restaurant cut. I am surprised how the mgr said he's been there 5 yrs & has not had such complaint. The frijoles charros were excellent, the rice ok, the guacamole ok, the shrimp ok - When my plate was replaced w/the Rib-Eye Steak, it came with FOUR VERY TASTY LANGOUSTINES (aka prawns) & THIS FLAVOR WAS SOMETHING TO BRAG ABOUT ( I did love these, Thank you) Your live music is a good touch, The uniforms on your staff give restaurant a good presentation, the inside is clean & very nice. Everything else in the ticket, carne asada, puntas de filete plates were good.

I am vegan. That being said, I asked if could be served some grilled vegetables and guacamole on the side. My vegetables were boiled, overcooked and without any seasonings. I understand this isn't a vegan restaurant, but there is nothing difficult in grilling vegetables and at least pour some salt ant pepper on them. The rest of the food was described as very tasty.

First & foremost I would like to state that this location is fantastic all in general. We’ve had large parties there and love the bar atmosphere as well. But today was not so good since we got there at 11:35 we were seated as requested at the bar area and was told that the kitchen closed at 12:00 am. We didn’t think much of it since our plan was to listen to music & have a few drinks. 40 minutes into the night lights go on music stops & waiter says she needs to close our tab since there closing early, considering the fact that it states on your website & the door hours till 2:00 am. I am appalled at the fact that this goes on behind Mr Ochoas back since his number one priority is good service. My personal opinion is that the acting manager at this location acts like if he were the owner limiting this location to make money and have customers enjoy there night. We were practically ran out of the establishment since light were on and music stopped. Took ourselves to Cosmos where the party stops at 2:00 am 🤷🏼‍♀️

The food (Garritas de Leon tacos) were so DELICIOUS! The atmosphere and initial service were great. BUT at the end, the waiter and his supervisor took close to 30 minutes to bring the check. I was overcharged, but it was corrected. I guess it got busy or I was forgotten because I was in the bar room. Either way, one shouldn't have to wait so long to pay. Totally blew it at the end and I was beyond ready to leave.

But that is sort of where my delight ends. would I go back for the service.. absolutely, but the lack of an actual drink menu and a couple of traditional Mexican items would stop me. the enchilada options has no variety and you can't mix or match ( ie.. 1 each steak and shrimp etc) . there are no burritos on the menu at all and I couldn't make out if just a plain steak is an option. But the drink menu baffles me, they have a fantastic lounge and fully stocked bar, so unless you've been here a million times , or know exactly what you want... you're not going to experiment much ( hence lower sales for the restaurant FYI) . Hope this helps you before going here so you're more prepared than I.

The booth I was in was so tight we could fit only in an uncomfortable manner. I ordered chicken mole enchiladas and the mole tasted identical to a store brand AND was cold. I would have sent it back if we ever saw our waitress again.

Visiting Laredo and my colleagues and I went to Palenque Grill for dinner. I ordered the chicken fajitas. Food came to the table lukewarm at best. The chicken was tough and overcooked. Rice and beans were tasteless. Very disappointed. During the meal we all observed fruit flies at our table. Service and ambiance were ok, nothing to highlight. Prices were high relative to the low-quality meals received. Definitely disappointed in the food and service. Do not recommend it.

Party of 10. Sorry, not impressed at all. Even though we had a reservation 1 week in advance, we got seated in a 2 table set up where one table was smaller than the other. Price too high for the quality and quantity of food. Waiter was not friendly.. We won't be coming back to this restaurant..

Not dining in here anytime soon, and this review goes to the location in Bob Bullock( not sure why it didn’t let me add a review at the other location. 6/18/25. Many issues with our experience. First things first, went for dinner last night and noticed there was no live music as well as the atmosphere sucked. Secondly, Most of the light there weren’t working. Then we ordered an appetizer and got it super fast, not even 2 minutes they had already brought our meals already! Portions have gotten smaller and beef in the tacos was overcooked! You thought that was bad, service was not good as it used to be before as the server never bothered to check on us and was rushed to get our food and brining is the check. Staff was already cleaning up seeming as they wanted to kick us out. Tip of the iceberg was the portions of the tortillas have gotten smaller and $8 for a lemonade with no refills ??! Won’t be coming back!

Fiend and I got here @12am for some food and last minute drinks. It seemed a little lonely, but we walked in and were waiting to be seated. The server finally got to us & let us know that they're actually closed even though there was still a few people inside. Closing time online says 2am, on their door it says 1am -- is closing actually @12am? Which is it??

Our server sucked unfortunately. She came by maybe twice through the entire time we were them. When we sat down, she took about 20 mins just to let us know she was our server. Our water took like an entire 15 mins after we asked twice when our meal came, no refills were offered because she was no where to be found. The other location is Laredo is way better, definitely recommend the other one.

Don't order the Chicken Mole. I asked if it was shredded and the waiter said yes. I expected shredded chicken breast. The plate had lots of chicken skin and it had some pieces of cartilage. It was really disgusting. Why would they include the chicken skin??? I will never order the Chicken Mole again. 🤢

Stop using fabulouso. Not everyone is okay with that stinch I'm allergic to that smell. It has no place in a restaurant. Restaurant need to smell like great food not chemicals. What are you hiding? FABULOUS O will kill the vibe for sure.

I can't believe what happened with my recent order. I specifically ordered a chicken soup, the only soup on the menu that includes chicken, and instead, I received a tortilla soup. It's infuriating that I was charged for something I didn't order. The experience was made worse by the incredibly slow service. Despite the order being to-go, I had to wait an excessively long time. I called twice to inform them that I was waiting outside, yet I still had to wait for 20 minutes. This level of service is unacceptable. The worst part of all was when I got home and realized the soup was wrong. I immediately tried to call the restaurant, but after five attempts with no answer, I had no choice but to wait until tomorrow to see what excuse they will offer. This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I am extremely disappointed with the poor service and lack of attention to detail.
