En nuestra visita a León tuvimos la suerte de elegir este maravilloso restaurante el la calle Ancha. Nos encantó la comida...pedimos un menú de fin de semana...y chapó..tanto por la cantidad como por la calidad. El trato del camarero estupendo

Me lo recomendó un local y no falló. Aunque hacía un poco de frío, nos pusimos en ls terraza porque íbamos con perro. El vino no estaba bueno, pero el chuletón estaba espectacular. Personal encantador y servicio rápido. Totalmente recomendable.

I have being coming to the Ezequiel bar/restaurant for last 10 years as there is always a nice atmosphere there. However, when it is busy it is hard to get served as you have to shout (over people standing at the bar) to the waiters to be heard . Otherwise the tapas ( especially the cecina and jamon ) are really nice and they have a good selection of Ribera and Bierzo vino tintos and blancos and have Mahou on tap. Despite this this is a regular bar to go to meet people and enjoy the vinos/cervezas.

Wow! Try the grilled monkfish and the Ezequiel salad. More than enough for 2. The salad had avocado, tuna and the local Iberico cured meat. Can't go wrong. The monkfish was fresh and perfectly prepared.

Best idea to come over here. They gave us two bottles of wine with our menu del dia, an extra bottle of water, a surging of bread and yet only paid for the two menus. I love every bit of it. Lucky Leon to have this gem.

Just had the best steak ever! So tender it melted like butter in the mouth. Partners pork dish was also just as good. Great service and a lively atmosphere! Absolutely recommend!

Such an awesome place to dine. The food selection and service was fantastic considering it was busy. Within minutes our orders appeared, cooked and presented with love. The flavours, textures and portion size was first class.

I arrived with 30 minutes to eat before a work call at about 7 pm. Most places didn’t open their kitchen yet, but they did. When I ordered, I asked how long it would take to prepare my dish. They told me 10 minutes and sure enough, it did. They didn’t have to rush for me with everyone else in there. But they made sure I wasn’t late and could have dinner first. And they didn’t hesitate one second nor complain nor did they make me feel unwelcome. All to the contrary, they rushed without me asking any more and did it with an efficient work ethic and with gusto. Men and women of their word. I ordered the Lomo and it came with freshly fried potatoes and roasted red bell pepper. It was delicious. I also had great house wine from Leon. I sat at the bar alone and crushed it all. God willing, I’ll be back.

One of the busiest restaurants in town, after a long walk of the Camino we arrived to town and we were naive by thinking we could just get it, but the host was very kind and friendly and he offered us the first table in the evening, although all was reserved few days ahead he gave us a table. The service is very nice and warm and the food is amazing as well, even if we couldn’t speak well Spanish the waitress tried to speak in English as well. Next time I’ll be in town I’ll reserve ahead and will come back there for more.

Sat outside here in the old city on a beautiful October night and had a great meal of lomo and lamb, fun fact you can actually order half portions here so you can create your own combination. The service was great as well!

OMG I will not have space enough to tell you guys about this place. It is an experience for your senses and your soul. Let's start for the situation: 3 minutes walk from the Cathredal, to have a nice wander after your meal. Let's continue with the restaurant: a cave downstairs and a great dining room & bar upstairs to live two different ambients: familiar & intimate or casual with friends. Best ever: the meal. They serve huge dishes so measure well how hungry you are. We ordered the menu (21€ on Sunday, that's amazing!) ant it included a starter, a principal, dessert and wine. We chose salad, potato&fish soup and cold meat. Each of them well dressed, nice presentation and tasteful. For the principal we ordered hake & carrillada. I swear you guys, best carrillada ever. The meat was tasteful and it melted on your mouth. For the desserts, just check the pics!! Save space for them! We chose white wine (Alvarín) which works grrreat with all the dishes. Last but not least! The crew. Amazing team of waiters who will turn the experience just perfect. They are close, friendly, polite, attentive and fun. They will treat you with a balance of respect and closeness and thwy will make their best for you to enjoy the experience.

Vinimos porque nos lo recomendaron personas de León. El menú consiste en tres primeros a elegir uno (embutido, ensalada o plato de cuchara), tres segundos (suele haber congrio y dos carnes), postre y bebida incluido. Respecto al plato de cuchara, que lo pedimos para 2, nos pusieron en la mesa la olla para que nos sirviéramos lo que quisiéramos. El resto de platos igual, nos servían unas fuentes generosas y cada uno se ponía lo que quería o incluso repetía. Respecto al vino, nos pusieron directamente la botella para beber cuanto quisiéramos, era un tinto del Bierzo bastante respetable. De postre, torrija con helado, riquísima. El café y bebidas como los refrescos, se pagan aparte Comimos habiendo reservado la noche anterior, el local estaba repleto y nos sentaron en un comedor del piso de abajo, lleno también. El servicio es amable y bastante ágil.

Fuimos para tomar algo, al final también pedimos la tabla de embutidos y quesos, que estaba realmente muy rica. No hay nada que objetar a la comida, al contrario, casi todos los camareros son un poco irrespetuosos y te tratan con superficialidad y los precios son un poco más altos de lo habitual en la zona.

Relacion calidad precio excelente. El revuleto de cecina espectacular. La tarta de queso es sin gluten y esta muy rica. Servicio rapido

Buen ambiente. Servicio amable y rápido. Para mi gusto, lo que no volvería pedir: sus croquetas; todo lo demás, muy rico. La carne en este lugar siempre es un acierto.

Restaurante con un concepto interesante ya que también es una tienda donde venden sus productos. Queríamos cenar algo un domingo por León, que ya estaba todo bastante apagado, pero en este sitio no, tenía buen ambiente asique decidimos entrar. En general estuvo bien pero tengo varios peros, de ahí las estrellas que he quitado. Por un lado la atención, me pareció un poco seria, no me gustó demasiado. Por otro lado pedimos una tapa de patatas con caldo, que básicamente no pudimos comer ya que estaban abrasando. Las dejamos un rato y aun así fue imposible, pero lo poco que probamos tenía buen sabor. Y por último pedimos las patatas con picadillo de chorizo y huevo, preguntamos que si eran patatas fritas y nos dijeron que sí. Al traerlas eran cocidas y el hombre lo dijo, que al final no eran fritas...Creo que es algo que deberían de avisar antes de traerlo, pero también es verdad que estaban muy ricas igualmente. Repetiría? posiblemente.

La comida rica en general. El congrio no lo recomiendo. Muy abundante. Bien situado. El servicio muy bueno. No le pongo las 5 estrellas por el pescado, y porque el camarero no me recomendó quitarme un menú si pedía el cocido que estaba riquísimo (para dos peronas era excesivo, y debería haberme advertido). Por lo demás el camarero fue muy bueno.

The restaurant is very lively, with the bar in the front, there were a few tables at the back that’s for pilgrims. There were complimentary beef tongue to start, the plate of meat and sausages was really good, lots of flavours and goes well with the Rioja red wine. Would love to try the full size beef steak next time!

Nice restaurant located in the heart of Leon to experience Asturianismo cuisine. We ordered the menu, which was 20 something euros. The service was serviceable, and the food came in a timely manner. The stew was the highlight from the meal; everything else was decent. Both the flan cremoso and arroz con leche were good for dessert.

Sin duda lo mejor es su ubicación. Mucho más recomendable para tomar un vino o ir a comprar embutido que para sentarse a comer, en nuestra opinión la calidad de los platos dista mucho de las maravillas que hacen en los otros restaurantes, tanto el de Roa de la Vega como el de Villamanín. Lo bueno es la variedad de opciones y el precio, sobre todo para estar en el centro de León. El servicio es bueno y amable y el local en general bastante amplio, aún así es muy recomendable reservar

Largely tourists, but some locals as well. We were seated right away, but inside, which was slightly depressing compared to the terrace. Service friendly and attentive. Food was ok. Definitely not the best steak I ever had, and definitely did not "melt in mouth," as other reviewers have commented. One steak came out incredibly fast (the entrecote), and was cooked precisely as I ordered it. But it was tough and over salted. The sirloin took forever to come out. So long in fact, I was finished with the entrecote and the sirloin had not even arrived. When it did finally come out, it was vastly undercooked. Extra rare when it was ordered medium well. So it had to go back. 15 minutes later, it was still undercooked. We dealt with it and moved on. All in all, just ok.

Un bar muy recomendable, el de Villamanin más barato 🤪. Su tapa principal de embutido de León es abundante y de gran calidad, algo que marca la diferencia desde el primer momento. Además, cuentan con tienda de productos locales, lo que le da un valor añadido para quien quiera llevarse un buen recuerdo gastronómico. La atención fue correcta, y al pedir una ración extra quedamos gratamente sorprendidos tanto por la cantidad como por la calidad del producto. Sin duda, un lugar al que merece la pena volver.

Did you book a table and you arrive with your family or your company to have dinner on time? WRONG!!! The table has been disappeared, because according the waitress " el jefe " decided to give your table to someone else. By theway, the table was booked in person, by myself in the restaurant the same morning, for the "Terraza". There's no quality in a restaurant where they don't respect their clients and they make discrimination against them, screening if they are locals or not. Unfortunately, this is the worst picture I received from LEON, a beautiful and friendly city, with a few unprofessional people, like the "jefe" of Ezequiel. I am really sorry for the costumer NOT service of this place. Maybe worst in Europe...
