Es un restaurante especializado en tapas, con muchísimos sabores y muy tradicional. Lo recomiendo para quienes quieren probar la verdadera comida española. Sin duda, un lugar para repetir.

Un gran sitio, al lado de la plaza de la Merced, para degustar su púlpito a la brasa, que si estas en la barra puedes ver como te lo preparan en la brasa que tienen a la vista. Las gambas al pil pil, el chorizo de Ardales, el Flamenquin, etc.... todo está muy bueno. Un lugar típico y con encantó. No digo de repetir porque siempre que estamos por Málaga lo tenemos como visita obligatoria.

Ya paramos la última vez que estuvimos en Málaga, lo recomiendo, la comida está muy buena. Platos que repetiremos revuelto de ajetes, secreto y sobretodo el salmón. Pero hay que decir que todo delicioso. El personal muy atento. Precio calidad un 10.

He visitado el Cortijo de Pepe varias veces, y tengo que decir que, aunque está en el centro de Málaga y podría no esforzarse mucho en la cocina debido a la afluencia de turistas, aquí se come muy bien. Los camareros son súper simpáticos y amables. Una de las ventajas es que puedes comer en la barra, donde hay opciones de platos (raciones o medias raciones) diferentes a las que se ofrecen en las mesas. El restaurante es grande y tiene dos plantas. Hemos comido de todo, hasta reventar, y todo estaba muy bueno. Las raciones son bastante abundantes. Sin embargo, en los últimos cuatro años, he notado un aumento considerable en los precios, especialmente en el último año. Este incremento ha sido más notable que en otros restaurantes. A pesar de esto, el ratio calidad-precio es muy bueno, por lo que sigue siendo uno de mis lugares favoritos para una cena con amigos o para llevar a un amigo de visita en Málaga.

One of my favorite Malaga restaurants. It's nothing fancy, but that's the point. It's a great place to drink your favorite spanish drink and eat really fresh food! I love their chorizo, pimientos de padron, the croquettas, the octopus, the salmon, the hamon... everything is so good! I love the experience on the bar and the prices are fair! Highly recommended!

Cortijo de Pepe amazed me from the very beginning! The atmosphere is fantastic and you instantly feel like you’re in a real Andalusian mesón. The food was extremely good, everything so fresh and prepared right before your eyes – you can really taste the quality. Top notch and nothing to complain about! The staff were super friendly and always attentive without ever being pushy. The variety of tapas at the bar is great, and you can see exactly what to expect. The prices are absolutely fair for what you get. It’s the perfect place to experience real Spanish hospitality – I’ll definitely come back!

One of the best place that we’ve tried in Malaga. We even got back on the last night and tried again the grilled octopus. Super delicious, everything was just perfect. Prices are also decent, even lower compared to many other places in the city centre. The personal was a bit slow on the last night but they were friendly. Very recommended!

Easily my favourite restaurant in Malaga! Food was excellent, salmon and octopus were fresh and well seasoned. Love the gambas here, portion is big and price is decent. Restaurant itself was kinda busy even when we visited in the evening, service can be a bit slow but food quality compensates for that.

Great place to enjoy fresh and flavorful tapas. The croquetas were outstanding, and the grilled octopus was excellent. The cod with garlic was tender and smooth, though a bit too salty in parts. The service was good in general, however the cod arrived 20min later than the other dishes.

Great food, we struck lucky with this place. We originally queued up at another restaurant but the wait ended up being too long and the plaza was just too crowded. This restaurant however was off the main road but we sat outside where there were far less crowds. Delicious food, good service with English menus, fair prices and overall pleasant experience. We had some delicious tapas at the bar (la barra) with a couple of beers, all very reasonably priced and tasty. The service was extremely fast and efficient.

El sitio es muy bonito, local, situado muy cerca de la alcazaba. La calidad de la comida es excelente, pedí el revuelto de ajetes con jamón y el salmón a la brasa, especialidad de la casa. Pedí un vino moscatel dulce, clasificado como blanco, pero me dieron otro bastante más caro, y desconozco la razón. El que pedí costaba 2,40€ (como se puede ver en la foto de la carta), el que me dieron costaba 4,10€ 🤷🏻‍♀️ Además, el camarero me informó de que el moscatel no es blanco…bueno. Para traer la cuenta, tardaron un poco, menos mal que pedí el recibo, porque se me cobró demás, el pan que jamás pedí y siempre te encasquetan. En general, la comida muy rica y el local muy bonito, pero hubo algo que me falló desde el principio en la atención al cliente.

Fui a comer con unos amigos, el chuletón de retinto, la ensalada, la Chule Tita de cordero, todo muy rico el servicio y el ambiente tranquilo para poder tener una conversación amena y sentados en un lugar muy agradable. Lo que menos me gustó fue el pulpo no es que sea malo pero es mejorable lo demás muy rico y el precio asequible volveremos a ir sin duda además se puede reservar por Google de manera online que eso ayuda mucho tal y como está el centro de Málaga últimamente de colapsado.

No fue lo que esperaba pero igualmente fue bueno. Me habían recomendado este lugar. Nos sentamos en la barra para comer tapas el lugar super bueno y con gran ambiente. Pedimos unas albóndigas y un pimiento relleno, aunque estaban muy buenos, vimos como los recalentaban antes de servirlos, puede que no fueran frescos. Los camarones al pilpil excelentes. El tamaño de la tapa muy grande, con unas 3-4 tapas comen bien dos personas. La gente que nos atendió muy amables. No alcancé a comer un plato pero vi como hacían el pulpo a la parrilla en el momento. Igualmente es un lugar recomendado para comer en málaga.

Almuerzo para 4 personas,de entrante una porra antequerana aceptable de sabor y cantidad. Comimos solomillo ibérico a la brasa, rosada frita y berenjenas. La comida está bien, pero ningún plato te enamora, falta ése toque final que les haga dar un salto de calidad. Buen servicio de los trabajadores.

El lugar es muy bonito ambiente madrileño. La comida estaba buenísima. Con la excepción de un mesero que no nos atendió inapropiadamente. El chico nos tomó la orden de aperitivos y bebidas luego no sabemos la razón se despareció y no regreso a atendernos luego llego otro chico a tráenos una bebida y ese mismo mesero que se desapareció le arrebato la cerveza de las manos al chico que fue muy amable ese gesto nos pareció desagradable. Luego llego otro meseo Rafael quien nos atendió muy amablemente. También los precios son más elevado que en otros lugares claro entiendo que por la ubicación. Volveria? Sii gracias.

We really liked the food, the atmosphere and the staff in general. Really good portions and everything was super tasty. One of the best restaurants that we tried in Málaga. The guy that sat us at the table (with the different colour t-shirt) was really polite, accommodating and helpful. The waitress wasn't as friendly or helpful with us, we were clearly struggling and taking our time to understand the Spanish menu and when she came for the second time to take our order, she just said: not ready ok and left... And when the other guy walked past, he immediately asked if we needed the English menu, he also took our order and was really nice and helped us with the order. Great food, good experience and also the other staff around was nice.

Place by the plaza merced, tapas are at the counter inside while for meals can sit outside/anywhere. Menu has several interesting sounding options but we stuck to the basic and they were good. Prices a tad bit on the higher side, may be got to do with the location.

Restaurante bastante céntrico, situado entre el teatro romano y el museo Picasso. Cuenta con mesas en la calle, un salón en otro local y asientos en barra. Los precios también varían en función del lugar en el que tomes asiento. Menú amplio y variado, con platos de cocina tradicional tanto locales cómo algunos de otras zonas del país. Platos sencillos, no demasiado elaborados. Servicio correcto y rápido. Quizás por haberlo visto en varias recomendaciones, nos llevamos una decepción, quizás el ir con expectativas altas no ayudó. El flamenquin, casero, tenía muy buena pinta, pero con la carne de cerdo totalmente cruda, una pena.

Los platos son enormes, incluso pidiendo medias raciones. Se recomienda compartir. Me recomendaron el pulpo a la brasa. Estaba bueno, quizás demasiado para mí gusto, pero con el plato por sí solo ya cenas. Un poco soso el local, pero atienden bien y la cerveza está fresquita.

A little bit disappointed with the experience. We were there for our wedding anniversary and wanted a lovely dining experience. We didn’t really get it. We were seated in a good table and asked if we wanted a drink. I asked for the wine list and was told they don’t have one! I’m flabbergasted that a restaurant like this doesn’t have a wine list! They didn’t have cava or Prosecco either (my wife’s drink of choice). We had to just have two generic white wines, which were fine, but as it was a special occasion I’d have liked a good bottle of something. I ordered the goat and my wife ordered the pork knuckle. Mine arrived within five minutes, which was unexpected, and it was lukewarm rather than hot. There was then some Fawlty Towers like confusion where a waiter came over, took it away and gave it my wife, before giving it me back?! It was then about five minutes and several “it’s on its way”s later before my wife’s meal arrived. Have to say that both meals were delicious but the service is very chaotic. The was at 2pm on a Sunday.

The service is a bit slow even we went very early and there were a lot of empty table. We expect it to be amazing due to great reviews on Google but turned out the food is just average. Shrimp is a bit oily where oxtail is smelly. My favourite part is potatoes! Hicimos una reserva con muchas expectativas, todo muy normalito, el pulpo a la brasa fue la decepción por qué llegó frío. Mucha bulla de los camareros, todavía teníamos comida, agua y vino y ya querían recoger todo. Sitio de paso normal para comer sin mucha expectativa.

Volví a este restaurante con el buen recuerdo de mi última visita hace un par de años, pero lamentablemente esta vez la experiencia dejó mucho que desear. Probamos varios platos típicos, con la ilusión de revivir aquella buena impresión, pero la realidad fue que casi todo terminó quedando en la mesa porque simplemente no nos gustó. Eso sí, el servicio fue excelente y la atención del personal muy amable, pero la comida no estuvo a la altura de lo que recordaba. Una verdadera pena.

Soooo not worth it. Had three tapas, the potato salad, the stuffed potatoes with meat & the prawns & honestly only the salad was good. Not even great, just good. The shrimps were straight up frozen defrosted shrimp with the digestive tract still attached, they were sandy and mushy, totally not what you want from gamberi ajillos. Just a really sad meal to be honest. Feel free to compare the picture of our shrimp with those of people who've been there before, noticeable difference. Paid €40 for this & it wasn't worth it.

La comida está muy mala. El pan quemado, el pulpo era chicle y las patatas rellenas eran congeladas. El revuelto incomestible. Es un sitio para turistas. A raíz de la respuesta, os comento: si me anotáis un correo electrónico en la respuesta de la reseña, os envío el ticket para que tengáis todos los datos y podáis solucionarlo, porque de verdad que fue una experiencia horrible en todos los sentidos. their avocado and tuna salad came completely drenched in an ill-tasting olive oil. normally we would never return food, we are very shy. but we could not eat it, so we asked the waitress if we could exchange it for another dish; she agreed and took away the avocado dish without saying anything. at the end of our meal, we noticed that we were charged for both items. when we respectfully asked why, she told us that it was because we had tasted the dish. but when she took away the dish, she did not tell this to us. how could we have known that we wouldn’t like the dish if we didn’t try it? we returned 95% of the dish, if not more. the honest thing to do, would have been to tell us up front that we could not do the exchange we asked for (which was the only reason we asked for a replacement dish)
