I always get a very specific order and the stat ALWAYS get it right. There was even 1 time when I forgot to add ketchup on the app and the staff member who remembers me had asked to make sure it wasn't a mistake. Great service.

I order a very complicated order and EVERY TIME they get it right. One time I forgot to add spicy ketchup to my order on the app and the lady in charge of curbside brought them to me cause she remembered me. 10/10 would recommend

Whoever made my breakfast burger did a very good job lol 1/13/20 around 8:55 am. I would of posted a picture but it was too good 😂 Idk anyone from this location (i believe) BUT hope you get to see this comment and keep up the good work! I even felt like going back to tip the cook and the lady who took my order in such a welcoming manner :)

Nice place, good burgers. I hope you can help the older guy working with you. he was sweeping and mopping the floor, very heavy work for an old person. The food was great. Lately, whataburger has been getting a lot of hate because of the change, and I agree that it didn't taste the same. But now I've had Whataburger twice lately ( once being this location), and it tasted like a good ole Whataburger 🥲 The staff was very friendly as well even tho it was their lunch rush. 👏

Service is off the charts good, when I ordered 2 times ago Jackson's whataburger was too busy to take my order, however MARC at 10th's whataburger took the time to not only take my order but customize it and make sure it was correct. Not only were they extremely but the second time I ordered same result. Just as busy, if not more, same great service. At the time of this review I placed an order with REGINA, and got the same great service. These employees need to be recognized.

I was very hungry and it was 10p.m. so I ordered by phone. When I got to the restaurant there were like 12 cars in drive Thur so I parked in the curbside #1 from there I called back and told the employee who I was and if I could get my order brought to me cause drive Thur had to many cars ,,,right away he said yes now that's service. Thank you ALL for your great service and food was delicious!!

Really great place for eating fast food. The burgers are great, I often order the bacon burger it is always good. The onion rings are great, they have never have disappointed me. Also their spicy sauce is really good, I recommend this place.

Wonderful experience with the hostess, she roamed the lobby offering refills and checking to see if our order was fine. She would also assist her coworkers in taking out orders and would always carry her tray with condiments and napkins, in top of that she made sure the floor was nice and swept. Also sanitizing and wiping down the tables/booths. One thing that could have been worth the wait was listening to some music, not to sure why but it was a little quite without it.

Went thru the drivr thru cuz it was an online order. Just ordered a #1 burger by its self. They made it a combo meal for free, asking me what flavor drink i wanted. I said free? Yep free fries also. Gonna order online more often.

I love a good burger. We hit the restaurant at a horrible time. There was a carnival across the street and tons of people decided to go to this particular place. So it was so full, we had to wait for a spot to sit. We couldn't hear too much because it was so noisy. But the burger was great.

Come on you can't beat whataburger. One time there was a storm and the town was under 3 feet of water and whataburger had sandbagged themselves in and was serving #1s while surrounded by 3 foot of water and with people happily swimming into get the only food available. And 24h no less. You can't beat whataburger.

Good food never disappoints. However we were sitting next to a female manager giving an interview. She was very rude and spoke to the person seeking a job in a very condescending voice. Also as the man walked away, i heard her tell the other manager that she didn’t feel like hiring anyone today. People need to be more careful when in a manager position. People are all around you listening 😡

I visited this Whataburger a few years ago and found it unorganized, including complications related to my fully trained service animal, which I rely on due to a medical condition. On my recent visit, however, I was highly impressed by the substantial improvement in service quality. The staff’s professionalism and their thoughtful accommodation of customers with disabilities and service animals are greatly appreciated.

Always show their professionalism in customer service. I usually visit drive thru and timing is adequate to the orders and food is nice and warm so 2 thumbs up to this Whataburger 👍

Stopped by on Halloween and saw Manager Roel handing out candy to the little kids while also taking great care of customers and his team, excellent job sir! The second manager, Miguel, was also on top of everything. Been to other whataburgers, but this one by far I had the best experience, Both are great managers who provide outstanding customer service, hands down! Great job to all the workers there 👏

I ordered online catering from this location a few months ago—the Whataburger boxes and wings bundle. I also called a few times to verify my order, and each time the staff was very kind and professional. The delivery arrived right on time, with the food still warm and neatly packaged. I didn't see all the prices on the menu behind the counter, a significant amount of travel advisors tend to discourage purchasing items not openly posted behind the counter (cautioning against discriminatory pricing), but I am confident that y'all are honest (you should probably fix that discrepancy though). The staff were attentive and friendly, even when extremely busy; will certainly suggest this place to others in the future. Not really certain what can be done about the flies, they're extremely agile and they just follow customers into the building, maybe an antechamber area attached to the outside of the building, similar to what Denny's does over near 1st and Nolana (it would be a quick construction, since it's just a little room).

I've been living in Colorado for the past 20 years or more. Whataburger just made it to Colorado Springs. Unfortunately I lived in Northglenn. Just north of Denver. So when I got back to the RGV, Whataburger was no.1 on my list of places to go eat at. First bite brought a tear to my eye. And talk about flashbacks. So I'm so glad and happy about visiting Whataburger with my brothers who I hadn't seen in almost 8 years. Hell, I ain't never leaving Texas no mo'!!

We really like this place since the first time we visited. The food and service are really good. And very consistent flavor. The bathroom was clean, maybe it needs some maintenance. Overall, it's really good. We do recommend this place.

Great food and friendly service. Only 4 stars because I used the app to pick up curbside and it didn't show them I was there. I waited a while until finally I called to let them know.. Not their fault, but just affected the experience a bit. Soon as I called they came out right away with my warm meal.

The curbside experience is alright. I ordered and went to pick up my food. It wasn't ready by the time it said on the app but they made it fresh. I got my two meals fresh. Definitely worth the extra time i waited.

Food has never changed will always be awesome however the speed of service is always something I think everyone needs to work on!! In this instance the car before me had to be asked to pull up to a parking spot and I was asked to pull up as well past drive thru!!! Waited alittle over 10 minutes for my food....

First time at this Whataburger and I was disappointed in the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. Granted it was early (about 8) but most of the tablets were dirty and the floor was dirty as well. Food was quick but if the tables were dirty what was the kitchen like?

The tall 38 yr old cashier creeps me out, 😳 🤮 and the manager is always chasing away homeless people (very Christian behavior) but the food and chefs are the best! 🍔 🍔 🍔 🍔 🍔 🍔 🍔 🍔 🍔 Promote that guy on the grill! 👩‍🍳 🍳 He's so friendly to his co-workers and customers. Side note: the manager is kind of stinky

Completely dissatisfied with the value I received from the double burger with bacon and cheese added. I could have had a #2 meal for $12 with fries and drink. However I opted for a burger that I paid $10. The cheese was okay , and as for the bacon (I didn't see any bacon on my burger) I am sure it was there, just very little of it. This burger would have normally been $7 , so I cant agree that adding bacon and cheese for $3 more makes good sense. I like whataburger, but I don't recommend that you ask for extras on the sandwiches here, that makes them overpriced in my opinion.

The breakfast platter is really good, it has plenty of scrambled eggs, the biscuits here are tasty, the sausage patty isn't good for me, but the bacon is good, the hash browns sticks are good if made fresh & the coffee is good. Now the burgers aren't so great, just average fast food burgers, I ordered the bacon and cheese whataburger and the meat was very dry, the veggies were okay. The fries were hot and crispy but they needed salt as they were a bit bland. Overall I do recommend their breakfast options, their actual burgers aren't bad, but just average fast food burgers.

Drive through is the worst, very slow, 20-30 min wait, idk what kept them backed up for so long vehicle in the front hadn’t even received the food!!! to follow that up they couldn’t remember the order, it needs to be organized better.

Y’all really need to be cautious as to what you are putting and how it is put because this ruined my car seat!!! Will never go back again I’d rather like to keep my seats clean!

The quality of the hamburgers is bad but the service is worse. Don’t bother telling the employees what condiments you want when in drive-thru, they’ll not include them. The jalapeños cost a dollar and they only serve you one. They’ll even make you wait 10 minutes to get a simple order. Horrible experience.

Went with my mom got a small vanilla shake for my mom and i got a medium strawberry shake for my son i got him a cookie and brownie. No spoons were given and my shake was 1/3 vanilla. It wasn't bad just that vanilla is not my cup of tea.

Went on 8/9 after a wonderful morning in the IMAS. Decided to stop here as whataburger is supposed to be a standard in burgers in Texas. All was wrong. Staff was everything except friendly. The burgers were cold. The fries had a weird taste like rancid oil. The place felt dirty, which should be our sign to just go to another place. Would I return here? No. Why 2 stars? Because we were starving and at least we had food in little time.

Not as good as used to be. Long wait time in “fast drive-thru”, MESSY burger overloaded with brown/yellow lettuce & heavy onion (hid the thin meat patty Lol!) Cold, unsalted fries overturned in bag (not a single Shoestring frie in its square container). Definitely NOT returning to this location. Customer service was not good either 😡

Good morning what should i do ?Honestly the whataburger on 10th and the expressway is ran by a cartel i called to get a number for the one in misson or if they could please have them call me back i hear laughing in the background so I ask to speak to the manager and guess who was the one laughing the own store Manger after I spoke to him he got super defensive that he threatened me to be pick up by the Cartel from Mexico im fearing for my life because I live 3 to 6 mins away from the Mexican border and if he is really connected with them it's a done me for me because he has my CC info

This whataburger is probably the only one I dislike coming to!!! They always take forever in the drive through and the wait time inside isnt any better! I went to eat inside once and they forgot to make my order and waited 30 minutes, it wants packed either! Every time I give it another chance they always drop the ball like it's their specialty! Had to wait literally over 15 minutes just to order 2 Dr pepper shakes, 3 Higher management in the corner & 2 sitting down for lunch, seems they were more concern for the drive-thu than the walk-ins. Lots of employees doing something but not to the customers , granted this is not always the case at this one location , but today was unexcusable.

I had never waited over 45 minutes for a meal at any whataburger location, ever!! The fries didn’t taste fresh... my son in law had a hair in his food, my burger wasn’t made the way I asked for them to do it, but we didn’t complain... as it is... they took a while to get our order out to us. We always go to the whataburger on ridge rd in pharr.... I think we’ll stick to going there from now on... I will not be going to this location anymore. I had never had this experience here

Worst service ever ! Never coming to this whataburger again 🤮 not only was the wait time veryyyy long even tho there was only 4 cars when I got my meal it was very cold and I found a hair in my burger. And to too it off I saw a rat running towards the back of the restaurant I can only imagine what goes on in there. I asked to speak to a manager and her name was Stephanie. This was the worst experience. My order was missing cheese on my kid meal, they forgot my onion rings. I went back to the counter to let them know the burger was missing the cheese. The manager said "I need to see a receipt." The cashier didn't charge the cheese, I said ok I'll pay the difference. She handed me the burger back with cheese. She didn't charge me and walked away. Then the cashier was sent to my table to COLLECT the money?!?! How rude! I was up at the counter wallet in hand and wasn't charged. I also told the cashier I was still missing my onion rings. 3 minutes later she brought them. Then 5 minutes later another person come up with another order of onion rings. I sent them back. So disorganized, I only wish I had gotten the name of that manager.

This is the first Whataburger in the entire valley that I have visited and wow... Either the cook was special needs or asleep. I placed a double cheese burger PLAIN AND DRY with only cheese and no bun and small fries. They forget to put the fries and even forget to put the cheese. But I did get a nice salad filled with tons of tomatoes, lettuce and onions and 1 meat patty. When I called all they could offer was a credit to the account, but I don't live here, so I just ignored it and will never come here thankfully!!

This Whataburger is the worst !!! I ordered food for my children and I, on top of the fact that we waited for almost an hour for our food, when we did get it. There was a freaking roach in my drink!! I checked my kids meals after I saw how dirty the food was. It was like they got the leftovers from another table and gave it to us!! Just got home from picking up food from this Whataburger . I love Whataburger but i love it even more when my burger comes with its burger meat. Yeah, I ordered a #5 and it had no meat in it, they gave a a BLT. $53 I spent tonight on dinner here for my family. This is not the first time this happened to my burger. They’ve also once didn’t put ANY chicken strips in my 3 pc chicken strip meal. So check ALL your food before you leave this place, Or go to another Whataburger.

Late the service at this location has been really bad. Today I was in line waiting for my order for close to 15 minutes. At other times they have messed up my order even when I repeat it to them multiple times. And last week they didn't bother to give napkins or a stirring stick for me coffee. And I hate that they ask you to pay and then drive forward so that they can charge other customers so that they to can wait for their order.

Received wrong order Spoke to one manager that promised a full credit for the combo, returned on different day and Manager Julian would not honor his coworkers resolution even though I had receipt and date it was filed. Worse manager for a food industry location.

Stopped by after airport about 11pm on a Friday. Drive through was not moving and decided to park car to go inside for order. There were adequate staff behind counter. Order placed. It took 40 minutes to get our basic carryout order. I had to go back to counter to ask for order. Food was luke warm. Fries were bland. Other customers complained about their order taking equally as long. Sorry, I won't be back.

Do not go to this location. Waited over 20 minutes for dine in order. I am very understanding of how busy places can get...however... I had to go to the counter twice to follow up on the order... the food was misplaced...no sorry for wait... managers didn't stop to check on what was going on... I had to go back a third time for forgotten napkins and Ketchup. The restaurant was not as busy...lack of organization...

I waited 5 min at the order menu before someone answered. I then waited another 18 minutes to get to the window to pay, when I get to the window to pick up my order. They ask me to wait on the side. After 10 min, they asked me to wait in the front of the restaurant. 11 cars got their order before me and after 35 minutes waiting. I finally got my food. This is unacceptable. This is the first time this has happened to me at a Whataburger. That was the first time I had been to that location. Never again.

Slowest drive thru and service in mcallen. Waited 60 minutes 😫 In line for an order. Couldn't drive off because I was boxed in. 30 min later, took the order back because the order didn't have the beef patty. Had to wait another 15 minutes. Manager didn't even offer a free drink. Check your orders to make sure the beef patty is in the buns.

30 min or more in the drive thru, only 3 cars in front of me. when I got to the window, I asked how much long was I going to wait. Cashier answered something that had nothing to do with my question. When I got my food she let it go inside my window without saying anything not even an apology or a thank you. It seem she was mad I asked.

Cashier charged 4 combos , tho I asked for 2 combos and 2 burgers asked for diet dp to be replaced after 10 mins got my food(cashier didnt add any of the addons i requested, bacon jalapeno extra sauce) still no soda told them I had to leave as soon as my food was ready, left having paid for a drink but couldn't get my diet. Love the franchise but poor customer service at this location makes this restaurant worth skipping.

I go to Whataburger a lot and I’m proud but man out of the missions Whataburger the Hidalgo Whataburger this has to be the wrist one in the valley . They have horrible attitudes attending to you food is always undercook to where the meat is red/pink and the order is always messed up they need to fire everyone here and get a whole new staff

From the moment I pulled into the drive-thru, the experience was disappointing. I was never acknowledged at the speaker, and I had to ask if someone could help me. I ordered a meal with coffee, and when I received the coffee, it was cold. I let the employee at the register know, and she told me she had just made it—30 minutes ago. When I finally got my food and started eating, it was also cold. It felt like they didn’t bother to heat anything properly or just didn’t care. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back to this Whataburger. But if cold food and cold coffee are your thing, then this might be the place for you.

Where’s my patty??! First of all I wanna say I’ve seen roaches a couple times over past years that I’ve been here, I don’t even know why I keep going, just craved what’s for the first time in a bit. Ok, now for my experience today (5/4/25) I ordered two #1s and a #2. They automatically made everything a large, which costs extra, without letting me know either and I only wanted the regular size for my all my items. Service was rude and not welcoming at all. Finally, my reason for leaving this review: my mom’s #1 was cold and my dad’s #1did not come with a patty, it had everything, all toppings, but no patty. I was thankful I ordered a #2 and gave him my extra patty, because I was not driving back. Whatsburger, you should do better. Supervisor/manager please check that those teens know what they’re doing when preparing what you are advertising, and make sure they are also being friendly to customers. I’ve lived down the road from this location my whole life and have always gone to eat there, but not anymore.

Bad location. It makes me stop going to Whataburger at all, first the cashier wasn’t sure what she is doing, she called someone else and that person was trying to charge me $28 for 3 meals when I was ordering 1 meal. Only after manager came, they charged me correctly but no apology… We are it with my daughter and both got food poisoning…. Awful service…

Ordered in advance to make sure I have enough time to eat during my lunch break, my food was suppose to be done from 11:44-11:57. It was 12:17, 20 minutes passed the original time and never got my food. Management is horrible in this establishments.

Went in expecting the great service and burgers most Whataburgers have, but was disappointed in the management and employees unprofessional attitude. Corporate should evaluate, and require more management and professionalism training for this location. My birger was made the wrong way, and after speaking to management with a bad attitude, my burger was made correctly after some time of unprofessionalism I got my burger with correct ingredients, but sloppy.

Went by for a quick delicious quick meal, and ended up with unprofessional attitude from management and some employees. After my order was made wrong, and I asked to speak to management to be either reimbursed or some kind of credit order for my wasted time in having to explain i was on a time limit, they had bad attitude and just made the worst burger I originally asked for.

This is the second time I've been to Whataburger in the last 6 months. I've been to two different locations and this will be my last time. The food is absolutely terrible. What a sad change from years ago.. besides the lack of flavor of the food has...(both locations) They also serve you cold buns (both locations)

If there was ranking for the absolute worse service award for Whataburger this spot would be it. Not sure why but every few times I stop by I give them the benefit of the doubt but nope, always waiting over 20 mins for my food and that’s cause I order ahead of time. Last time I’m coming to this one. Take a few mins & head down to the one on Jackson & Jackson, there customer service is goated at that location.

Was waiting In line to order inside and I was next to order and the lady at the register said the person behind me was next then told me she got there first , when she clearly didn’t maybe she knew her or didn’t like us ? so I waited the lady was not ready and I waited for her to finish and she was just on her phone looking threw the menu , the register lady was rude when we finally got to order. I ended up leaving. I like their food at any location but this place had terrible service never going there and maybe to other locations for a while.

I received cold fries on my drive thru order. It's so upsetting picking up food just to find out your meal is not the way you ordered it. I spent $20 for cold food. Nah. Worst customer service. No empathy whatsoever. So to receive any credit I have to drive back and return food. So just wasted my time and gas and still had nothing to eat.

I’m writing to report a serious safety and sanitation issue at the Whataburger location on 23rd and Orchid, Store #4017, in McAllen, TX. I visited with my two kids and had a very unpleasant and unsafe dining experience because Team member Patrick poured a bucket of cleaning chemicals on the floor around our table while we were eating, leaving the floors soaked and filling the area with a strong, unpleasant chemical odor. When placing our order, the cashier, Patrick was cold, unresponsive, and did not confirm or repeat the order. He gave no acknowledgment during the transaction, and I initially assumed he might be having a bad day. While we were eating, he began pouring a bucket of water mixed with cleaning chemicals onto the dining room floor, scraping it, and then using a loud suction machine. There were no wet floor caution signs displayed. I first assumed he would limit this to an unused section, but he proceeded to pour water and chemicals directly around our table, blocking our exit and making it difficult to continue eating. As we stood up to leave, he immediately removed our chairs from behind us before we even walked away. The combination of wet floors, chemical exposure, and loud equipment while guests were dining created an unsafe and unpleasant environment. I addressed this with the manager on duty, who dismissed my concerns, stating that they clean “whenever they can” regardless of guests being present. He offered no solution and appeared unconcerned about the safety hazards or the customer experience. I informed him that I would be reporting this incident to the McAllen Health & Code Enforcement Department. This experience caused me to lose my appetite and I ended up throwing half my food away because of the chemical smell & left me feeling disregarded as a customer. I ask that Whataburger address these unsafe cleaning practices and ensure that proper customer service and food safety standards are upheld.

Today was their .79¢ deal and I had THE RUDEST EXPERIENCE WITH THE CASHIER. She was an older woman and when it was time to pay I took out change and she looked at me up and down AND LAUGHED AT ME! I felt like I was being made fun of for using change which I thought was still a form of payment without judgement. Not only did she laugh at my form of payment and judged me but my order took OVER AN HOUR and I was charged extras that I did not ask for. BE NICE and if you have an attitude DONT WORK AT A FAST FOOD CHAIN!

I work overnight. Alot of people do. Doesn't mean "we" deserve the crappy cold leftovers. I went in at 2/3 am this 07/31/25 morning and ordered a small simple order. And received a burnt apple pie that tasted days old and they really skimped on the breakfast taco too. SMH

I was there tonight and everything would have been good except this one girl who was working there was being super rude. I believe her name was Melanie. I witnessed her being rude to an older woman who was there with her grandson. It was so horrible watching her be rude to the lady and even worse in front of her grandkid. I understand sometimes employees are frustrated from working long hours but have some decency or basic customer service skills. Manager did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. We recently visited Whataburger on a Monday evening, hoping to enjoy a fresh, satisfying meal. Sadly, our expectations were not met. Upon arrival, one of the managers efficiently took our order and handed us our cups. However, when I went to fill mine, I noticed rust around a stainless steel area in the drink station where the lids are kept. I shrugged it off initially, but things only got worse from there. Sitting at our booth, it became clear why there was rust in the drink station. The wallpaper around the tables was full of holes, and it was obvious that the Sheetrock underneath had severe moisture damage. Shockingly, there appeared to be black mold on the wall. When our food arrived, we were hoping for something fresh and delicious. Instead, the fries were soggy, the apple pie packaging was dirty, and the burger was dry and far from fresh. This location used to be one of the better ones, but it has certainly gone downhill. As we gathered our tray after eating, I picked up the receipt, which had been sitting on the table the whole time. The moisture in the paper suggested significant humidity issues. The ceiling tiles around the air vents also had mold and water damage. This location was remodeled not long ago, making its current condition even more disheartening. Public safety should be a concern here, given the visible mold and overall poor cleanliness. Overall, nothing we ate was good or fresh, and the state of the restaurant was concerning. We won't be returning anytime soon.
