What a place! After being greeted downstairs by the lovely lady in a traditional outfit I was allowed entry to head upstairs. Grab a seat on the side of the patio and you can look down to see everyone passing by while you wait patiently for your meal. I ordered the signature Bandeja Paisa! We had a wonderful experience at this typical restaurant in downtown Medellín. The food was absolutely delicious and truly representative of local flavors. We tried the bandeja paisa, mazamorra, coconut lemonade, and morrillo—everything was excellent and full of authentic taste. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was welcoming and full of character, making the whole experience even better. A great place to enjoy traditional Colombian food in the heart of the city. Highly recommended!

Great service, excellent food. I ordered the traditional dish of Medellin and it was done great. The tamarind rum was delicious. Bandeja Paisa, a traditional Colombian meal, particularly from the Antioquia region. It is known for its large portion size and variety of ingredients. Red beans cooked with pork. White rice. Ground meat. Chicharrón (fried pork belly). Fried egg. Sweet plantain. Chorizo. Arepa. Avocado.

It’s an old and famous restaurant for traditional Colombian food. We tried Arepa con queso, bandeja paisa and cazuela de frijoles. They were all super delicious! Especially arepa was insanely tasty. We also had churros as the desert.

We simply ordered the wrong dish ! It was enough to fill 4 of us (but we were only 2) ! lol. It was tasty enough but I’m starting to be turned off on deep fried food. The sides that came with it were very tasty. Very nice and caring service and joyful atmosphere with upbeat music that wasn’t too loud. Was a 15 minute wait to get seated easy.

The place is beautiful and reminds you of the haciendas from other times with all the employees wearing those beautiful typical clothes.... then they serve you the most delicious food very well presented and per the whole group the best chicharron ever! Every detail was very close look upon so to gift you with a gorgeous time.

Hacienda Junín is tough to recognise and select from the outside but once you have travelled up the stairs you are met by a lovely terrace where you can be welcomed with some great food. The service was not the most friendly but our broken Spanish wasn't helping that either. We chose 3 sharing platters to share with 2 adults and that was more than enough for a hearty lunch. All three were amazing and I recommend the plantain and halloumi dish as the combination of sweet and salt was spot on!

We were in the area and wanted a bandeja paisa so decided to give it a try. We waited to be seated for about 15 mins. The restaurant was packed. Our waitress was amazing , she was quick and welcoming. Our food came out fast but the portions were small (compared to other places) the bandeja was about 45,000 pesos. It had good flavor and hit the spot.

Between the three of us, we shared the trio starters that came with chicken pastry, beef empanada, potato empanada, potato fritters (all good), calentado antiqueño which is the Colombian full breakfast of beans, rice, sweet plantain, chicharrons with fried egg, cheese arepa, butter and fresh cheese (rich but filling) and the ajiaco (good flavour and decent amount of chicken and potatoes). The service was slow at times but it was still polite.

The kitchen team was not on their game, meats came cold and they lack flavor* if you want better colombian food, I'd recommend another place. The atmosphere is beautiful and authentic. Staff is lovely. But THE FOOD was nothing special. DID NOT FILL MY SOUL Y yo un Soy Colombo-Americano* I had the cazuleita de frijoles and a bendejita (mini bandeja paisa)
