The atmosphere and warmth of this place is great! You get some Mayan and Buddhist spirituality with your coffee which I love. Taking some back home with me and for friends. Met some really interesting folks there over the years. And the owner has a beautiful heart and has become a friend.

Love their organic coffee! They roast it in small batches so it's fresh. The owner is a lovely Mexican lady who speaks fluent English. I am taking some home as gifts from Merida!

A great little coffee shop with a super friendly owner that does speak English if your Spanish is no good. A nice place to relax, get out of the hot sun, read or play some chess. Tasty pastries, cookies and excellent coffee.

Hemos comprado ya varias veces el café tostado y molido de Chiapas aqui. Excelente calidad y sabor. Marisa además de agradable también prepara deliciosos cafes, acompañados de strudel de manzana.

Desde que te vas acercando te atrapa el aroma a café. El lugar es muy lindo y tranquilo. La atención más que excelente, te explican cómo es el producto y resuelven tus dudas. Pedimos un cold brew, súper deli; mi padre jamás lo había probado y le gustó mucho. Me encantó, sin duda regreso cuando esté de vuelta en Mérida.

Encontré este lugar sin buscarlo y me encantó su café. El grano, chiapaneco, de excelente calidad. El dueño muy amable, me hizo un buen espresso que le pedí para probar el producto y su tostado. Muy recomendable.

Blue Bag Coffee es un lugar que recomiendo para sus cafés a granel. Usan una mezcla de cafés de Chiapas de muy buena calidad. Su sabor es excelente sobre todo en tostado mediano. Los cafés puede comprar molidos si quiere y hay descuento para reciclar las bolsas. El precio es aún razonable. En el lugar puedes sentarte un rato en un ambiente relajante (pero toma en cuenta que cuando tuestan hay un poco de calor!) y tomar un café también. Los propietarios son muy amables y listos para platicar un rato.

Coming into their cafe feels like stepping into a comfortable living room, decorated with the aroma of their freshly roasting coffee you can watch right there. Coffee roasters, though there is a coffee shop there too, if you just need a boost. I always buy coffee here when staying in Merida. Blue Bag only buys premium beans from Chiapas, Mexico, the prime coffee-growing region in Mexico. I just returned to the USA with a 1/2 kilo of their beans in my bag.

High elevation coffee beans from Chiapas, air dried for a few days on site and then shipped and roasted in Merida. Order the medium roast which showcases great mild flavors and acidity without any burned aromas typical of darker roasts. Chose your grind based on the machine you are going to use, I always go half a way between drip and stove top.

This is the best coffee I've found in Mérida in the 5 weeks I've been here. You can but a coffe drink (all sorts of offerings; cold brew to mocha or just a straight up cup of good coffee), beans, or freshly ground coffee. Some might find Ron to be a bit of an oddball but if you have any time to sit and chat with him, you'll find him to be an interesting person with a passion for coffee. We will miss the smell of fresh roasting coffee filling our home (two doors down) every morning.

We were heading to a coffee shop in the area but noticed this place and decided to give it a try. It was a great choice. The place inside is nicely decorated but it feels that the work is in progress. We asked the owner if they had a garden and they said that technically it is not open for customers but they put a couple of chairs and a tiny table for us which was very kind of them. We truly enjoyed the garden: although it is not well groomed it has Amazing bamboo trees. We ordered two coffees: one with milk and another cold brew latte. Both arrived shortly and were very good especially the americano! The owners were pleasant people, they could speak English well. Overall a great experience, pleasant time and tasty coffee.

Living in Merida and buying them delivered from Elena Vales. I'm a pedestrian coffee-wise here, but they seem to know what they're doing. My main issue is that their bags the coffee comes in are dog----. I have to wrap them in another bag because the ones they use leak like nobody's business, whether they're torn or not. They also tear easily by the time time they get to me.

Bought some coffee beans and had a double espresso shot. The espresso was not good. For a place that sells coffee beans I would have expected they know how to make a good espresso. PS: after testing the coffee beans for 2 weeks now, I must say they are really good. You can make some very delicious espresso from them.

Tuve sensaciones mixtas, conocí la cafetería en 2022 y el señor amablemente junto a su esposa nos explicaron muy bien. En 2023 en octubre volví por 1/4 y todo bien, súper bien tostado y lo llevé a CDMX solo para que conocieran En julio igual fui por un cuarto. Ahora en diciembre de 2025 fue donde no me gustó, sentí que le hacen fiesta a otros expat, mientras a nosotros nos atendían de malas. Mi mamá compró café y bien. pero cuando llegaban estadounidenses hablando inglés les regalaban cosas y a los mexas no. Entonces no se siente igual la cosa.

I’m not really sure why this guy was so concerned that I was wearing a mask. He didn’t seem to want to talk coffee no matter how hard I tried to redirect. The reason why I was wearing a mask is none of his business and I refused to engage. Finally, I left without coffee. It’s very disappointing because I had heard that the coffee was very good but I will not return. Be ready for a hassle if you wear a mask in this establishment.

Lamento tener que dar esta calificación. He comprado los dos tipos de tostado que ofrece (medio y "frances") ninguno de los dos presenta un sabor agradable al paladar, sobre todo el de tostado oscuro. Falto de acidez y regusto escaso. No ha sido una buena experiencia. El lugar es coqueto, sí, pero lo que me interesa es el café!

Their roaster in the front room is impressive but unfortunately the cappuccino I got was mediocre at best. The beans were burnt and the execution of the drink was lacking. I think they could use a better espresso machine but not burning the beans would probably be enough. You may think this is too harsh, but if you advertise as a coffee roaster you are targeting people like me who expect more from their coffee. I roast on a small scale at home and make much better drinks with my la pavoni.

The coffee is decent, the croissant good but overpriced, but the visit is not worth risk, because the owner of the place(and most of his employees) are against using masks because they believe in a magical medicine that is proved to be ineffective and even worse, he prescribes that to unaware customers as if it was effective, he even sells it. All it took was a 2-minute conversation for him to start preaching this medicine and telling you to take it. It's a no go place to anyone, which is a shame because the ambiente is cool.
