I tried their “Dos Enchiladas Rojas” with black beans, Salsa Mango and Pico de Gallo sauces. It’s apart of their new $10 bundle deals. I’d say the Enchilades were very good. The chicken was a little burned. But eating the Enchilada with beans and chips really helped bring all the flavor together. I truly enjoyed this meal! Place is clean & well organized. Salsa bar w many options. The wait was not long. Food was great fresh salsa meats in all dishes were moist and tender to the last bite. Also found a coupon in a book and saved a good amount.

It had been a minute since my last Baja Fresh experience, with all the locations near me in Colorado having shut down. Today, though, was a treat. I went for my go-to, the bean and cheese burrito with black beans, and it was exactly as I remembered—absolutely satisfying. Do me a favor and keep the Fresh dream alive - eat here! Moses agrees—this is a spot not to be missed (even though he missed some photos).

Excellent customer service. This is a picture of just half of the fajitas plate we shared. Delicious meal! They also have delicious churros that are fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. They also have a self-serve salsa bar. I like this place for lunch or dinner.

All chain restaurants are not the same and this location proved this. I got the chicken bowl and it was prepared perfectly. The proportions were on point and definitely not lacking. The place was clean and the customer service great. I asked to buy chips and salsa and was informed they came free with me order. I haven't been for a while so please don't fault me for not knowing. Anyways, seems like a great place to get catering from. Cheers

The dining landscape has undoubtedly changed in recent years, with many casual food restaurants opting to cut corners in service and quality under the pretense of cost-saving measures. However, Baja Fresh in Mission Viejo, CA. stands as a commendable exception to this trend. By maintaining a clean environment, offering a diverse and appealing menu, and providing outstanding service, they have not only upheld their commitment to quality but have also preserved the cherished tradition of a complimentary Salsa Bar. In an age where such offerings have become increasingly rare, Baja Fresh reminds us that the essence of great casual dining lies in an unwavering dedication to excellence in both food and service. If you are a regular, or a new patron, try my favorite: Grill Wahoo "bare" style serviced in a bowl. This low carb, high protein dish is servede with cabbage, guacamole, black beans (upon request), and salsa verde. Ask David for his special fish sauce made with vinegar, and mayonnaise (see attached picture).

I got to shout-out Steven at the Mission Viejo location! He made a nice attempt to pronounce my name (which many can’t get right) and was very courteous in his service. He checked in on patrons to see if their food was good, which was appreciated. Food was made fast and tasted delicious! Bathrooms and dining area were clean overall, which is always great, as I’ve been to other Baja Fresh locations where that wasn’t the case. Can’t wait to be back!

An exceptional location for this brand. Plenty of parking, very clean inside with lots of seating. Thereafter, you will meet two gentleman (weekday shift) that are in complete sync with providing excellent service. The food is indeed fresh, fragrant and delicious. Post covid - many self serve options never returned. Happily this location brought the salsa bar back and I’m thrilled! They have the best salsa options. Overall this place is really maintained well, has remarkably great service and affordable, delicious food.

I have eaten here at least twice a week since 2015. Few things have changed. All staff members are friendly and food comes out quickly at invariable quality. The salsa bar is consistently replenished, and they rarely use pale tomatoes in the pico de gallo. Their baja salsa is the crown jewel of Mexican-style salsa, even topping out salsa frescas at other, more "authentic" Mexican restaurants. Mistakes are unavoidable in the food industry, and the rare mistakes I have found in my orders were rectified immediately or upon my next visit. The only front of house person whose name I know for certain is Mark, and he is very friendly, and will deliver my tray of food to my table if it is not busy.

We go to the Baja Fresh on Alicia Parkway in Mission Viejo. The food is delicious ~ always fresh and good selection. The salsa bar and the service are also great. Fast and friendly!

He went above and beyond and let me know that the other sauces, though I couldn’t choose them online, were up for grabs to try them out and see what I liked! He even recommended I try the Salsa Mango Mild sauce with the tortilla chips if I like that “sweet” taste to go along with my chips! He invited me back and said “hey, after you find out what you like, the next time you come, hey you know what to get!!” His positive spirit and energy truly brightened my day, I had to give him a shout out and give Baja Fresh a review!! Thank you, Arturo!! Now, how is the food? So I started with the black beans and rice. The beans are soft and delicious and the rice has a really flavory seasoning to it! The flavors both complement each other so well. Then I moved to the Steak Taco. I wish that there was some mild red sauce to go along with the Chicken and Steak tacos to give them just a spice of flavor. But the Carnitas taco?! Oowee, that was the best out of the 3. The meat, the flavor and the taste, I truly enjoyed it! Also, Arturo was right; the Salsa Mango does go quite perfect with the tortilla chips in giving it an uplifting sweet taste after eating the meat. It was a blessed meal. I thank the Lord and Baja Fresh for it. Overall my rating including the service and food = 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I'm not big on Mexican food, but my boyfriend recommended this place for a quick to go lunch, so I got a few things to try. Wahoo taco and steak taco were both incredibly good! I am a picky eater, so I highly appreciate fresh and good quality meat and fish they used for tacos. Steak one was probably the best taco I've had in many years, if not ever. I also got a shrimp chili lime salad and requested no onions, just like in my tacos, but unfortunately they used Pico de gallo with onions already mixed in, so I had to pick them out one by one, which was frustrating. Nonetheless the salad tasted pretty good. Dressing is quite a hot one, regardless I would order this dish again. Definitely will be back for more tacos.

The diabolo burrito is always good! I would have honestly given 5 stars if it wasn't for one sour experience with one employee tonight. I called before going to make sure the place closed at the time on Google. As soon as someone picked up the phone there was no "Welcome to Baja Fresh" or some other introduction, the girl immediately said "Please hold" and didn't give me time to say anything. I thought maybe it was just busy at the moment and she didn't actually put the phone on hold because I could hear the background. I waited a few minutes but decided to just call back since I just needed to confirm the closing time, and when I redialed and the same girl picked up she immediately just asked if I was the person she put on hold before, and then I just said I wanted to check the closing time and then hung up once she confirmed. I went yo order the food in person and the cashier was super nice. When my order was called I think the girl who picked up the phone was the one calling and giving the orders that were ready out, because as soon as she saw that I was coming up to receive the order she called she shoved the food at me and said "Have a good night ma'am!" She also didn't act the same way to another customer who picked up their order right after me, so that was pretty pathetic. But the cashier was super nice and the good itself was good.
