I celebrated my birthday here with my friends and had such a great time. The staff was super friendly and even gave me a patoshot for my birthday which I really appreciated 🥰 The vibe is fun, the music is great, and they have banda on the weekends. I definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to celebrate their birthday or just have a good time with friends.
I had the best time at this rest for a birthday party. The drink was so good along with the guacamole and shrimp empanadas. Carolina helped us with all the details and made us feel special.
Daniel was an amazing server! Food & drinks were served promptly and tasted delicious! they even accommodated us with a 9 month baby
Our server Daniel went above and beyond making my birthday dinner very memorable at Culichi Town! The food was great, the drinks definitely hit and the live music makes it all worth it.
We came here to celebrate our friend’s birthday and had an amazing time at Culichitown. The staff made her feel so special and even surprised her with a patoshot for her birthday 🥳 The energy was great, the drinks were good, and the vibe was perfect for a group celebration. Highly recommend this place for birthdays with friends.
If you’re looking for a bold, flavor packed culinary adventure, Culichitown is the place to be. I recently hit up the spot and tried their Mazatlán-style specialties, and honestly, it was a full on flavor fest. I started with the shrimp empanadas, and they were next-level. Perfectly crispy on the outside with that golden, flaky crust, and inside? Juicy shrimp seasoned to perfection with a little kick that hits just right. Not greasy, just buttery and packed with flavor. Definitely a 10/10 starter. Then came the “mar y tierra” fried sushi roll and wow, talk about a fusion masterpiece. Think creamy crab mixed with savory beef, wrapped up like sushi but with a Mexican twist. It’s that kind of wild combo that shouldn’t work but totally does. Every bite was rich, slightly spicy, and umami-loaded in the best way. It’s not your average sushi, and that’s exactly the point. To wash it down, I grabbed a strawberry lemonade, which was super refreshing tart, sweet, and ice cold, with real strawberry chunk giving it a fresh vibe. Then came the mango shots, and let me tell you, they were straight fire. Culichitown isn’t just food it’s a full experience. The vibes are loud, colorful, and unapologetically extra in the best way possible. You feel the energy as soon as you walk in, and the flavors completely match that vibe bold, vibrant, and unforgettable. Whether you’re a seafood lover, a sushi rebel, or just down for something different, Culichitown delivers. No cap, it’s definitely one of those spots you leave already planning your next visit.
I had the pleasure of dining at Culichi Town tonight, and overall, it was a great experience. The restaurant offers Mexican-style cuisine with a lively and welcoming atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for an enjoyable night out. We started off with empanadas and shrimp tacos—both were absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. For something cold, we tried the mango ceviche, which was fresh, vibrant, and one of the highlights of our meal. The drinks were another standout: perfectly crafted, beautifully garnished, and very enjoyable. However, we also ordered the Mexican sushi rolls, which didn’t quite meet our expectations. They were deep-fried, but unfortunately came out hard and rough around the edges. Having previously owned a Mexican sushi restaurant myself, I was a bit disappointed in the quality and preparation of that particular dish. What truly made our visit memorable was the exceptional service provided by our server, Claudia. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and offered fantastic recommendations. Her warm and professional approach elevated the entire experience—thank you, Claudia! Despite the one miss with the sushi, everything else—from the food to the drinks to the service—was on point. I would definitely recommend Culichi Town to others and look forward to coming back again soon.
Delicious food, great ambiance, good staff. The service was a little iffy with the servers forgetting our drinks or not taking our order for a while. But the food was tasty, and the cuisine is unlike any Mexican food I’ve had. The interiors of this place are nice, and it created a relaxing environment.
First time trying this place. The restaurant is clean and modern. Prices seemed high. Ordered off the happy hour menu. Margaritas were good. Garnished with orchid and dry ice for smoke effect. I would say put less into the presentation and put more tequila in the drinks. Had the Monday special fish, which was good. We will go again.
I have eaten at Culichi Town twice now and both times have been absolutely amazing. The service is wonderful. Both times my server was Marco G and he is so professional and courteous that it made my visits perfect. Marco has a wonderful attitude and ensures that the customer has a great dining experience. I consider myself to be a repeat customer now because the overall experience I have had is like eating at families house. The food is absolutely amazing so I would like to thank the chefs as well. See you soon Culichi Town family and thank you for your hospitality.

We had an amazing time at Culichi Town Modesto! The food was absolutely delicious with a huge variety of seafood options, both raw and cooked. We started with the oysters appetizer and the fried lobster tail bites, which were perfectly seasoned and so tasty in the sauce they were in. The spicy shrimp appetizer had great flavor, though it was a little messy to eat since the shrimp were still shelled and very saucy. We also tried the Hot Cheeto Roll and the Hot Cheeto Ceviche, both packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The fried fish was truly to die for, not only delicious but also served with impressive presentation. The shrimp a la diabla came with the same sauce as the appetizer, but with peeled shrimp, which made it easier to enjoy. Even the kids’ meals were fun, served in cute McDonald’s-style boxes that they loved. Overall, the food was excellent, though on the pricier side (expect to spend \$20+ per plate). The atmosphere was lively and family-friendly, with amazing birthday celebrations that come with sparklers and light-up signs. The only downside for us was the volume of the live band, it was so loud my ears are still ringing, and it even brought my daughter to tears 🥲, never knew apple watches alert for high sound for a potential health concern (all our watches went off lol) I’d recommend visiting at a time when a quieter meal, I’d recommend visiting at a time when the band isn’t performing. They also celebrate birthdays so fun with sparklers, light up neon staff and a complimentary delicious cheesecake !
I frequent Culiche Town for one main reason: the food is fantastic! The tacos are massive, and their Taco Tuesday special, where you buy one and get one free, is unbeatable. Plus, their Mexican coffee, offered for free, is a delicious perk. Every time I go, I get the same waiter—he’s always great, though I still don’t know his name. However, the one major downside is the music. It’s so loud that everyone ends up sitting in the back or yelling at each other just to have a conversation. It wasn’t as noticeable when I used to sit at the bar, but now it’s hard to ignore. My friends love the food, but they tend to avoid coming here with me because it’s impossible to have a normal conversation over the music. While I keep coming back for the food, I wish they’d dial down the volume just a bit so we could actually enjoy the atmosphere too. Update response: both are at times uncomfortably loud, unfortunately. The band needs more acoustic suppression and the jukebox during the weeks is blaring at times.

Food and Margaritas were good but do not go if want to have a nice dinner with conversation. The band is so loud you can’t even talk and there were no breaks for the entire 30 minutes we were there. Even though I went there to enjoy the music and atmosphere, the music was too loud and overpowering. The waitress was very nice and tried to communicate with us through the loud volume.
If you want authentic delicious sushi this is not it, but the vibe is very good and the combination of the food is very delicious, it just needs the kick that regular sushi gets you. The service was top notch 👌 I felt like I was in Sinaloa haha it gives you that vibe. I bought Sushi and cantarito for $30 with tip included so not too bad.
Quite a fancy place, very high end but pricey for my taste. I wasn't a big fan of the burger El rey, I thought it was supposed to be a burger but it's more of a sandwich. Still great tasting sandwich though, I enjoyed the bouncy shrimp that was in it. Fries were very bland, normally I don't season my fries any extra but these fries really needed it. I like to judge a place based on how they make their burgers and I just wasn't really satisfied with the meal for the price point. Very fancy place though; I'm sure their speciality Mexican fusion food is probably really good but burger El rey missed the mark for me unfortunately.
Service was good. Sushi wasn't the best. I just had one roll, the tentación. A lot more rice to filling than a 20 dollar roll ought to have. tacos were good tho. The guac was fresh. Overall,I'd sti…

prices on most food items is terrible. There's better options at other places for what you'd pay here. \n\nFood tasted microwaved. Service was mid.

GET EAR PLUGS IF YOUR EARS ARE SENSITIVE! Music is way to LOUD! Our food looked good BUT it was very PLAIN! $40+ a steak, no thank you if it's gonna taste that bad. We waited 2 hours for our server to take our order, then he FORGOT my drink. When we finally WAVE him down, we just wanted to go, but it seems like our severe forgot us multiple times. 🤦By the time we got our food it was cold. We didn't enjoy ourselves and left.
