Sur recommandations de nos amis à Moraira, nous sommes venus prendre un plateau pour 3 personnes de spécialités libanaises à emporter. Les propriétaires nous ont superbement accueillis et nous ont préparé le plateau à la minute! Brochettes mixtes agneau, poulet, Keflavik, falafels, humus de pois chiches et humus aubergine et….Délicieux et superbe expérience…. Stayed in Moriara for a month in December and tried Aux 2 Papillons 2 days before I left. This restaurant is by far my favourite in Moriara, the duck dish almost brought a tear to my eye, you can taste the chefs passion for his craft and then see it as he greets/says good bye. Must try if you are in the area! Well done to the small business, the food is second to none.

Wat een aardige mensen is het echtpaar van dit restaurant. Tijdens onze wandeling door Moraira zagen wij dit nieuwe restaurant. Gingen eerst een bakkie koffie drinken op het terras die smaakte ook goed. We vonden het er leuk uitzien en wilde wel eens weten wat Libanees eten is. In de avond gingen wij daar eten. En het smaakte echt lekker. En wat is het echtpaar van het restaurant aardig . Volgende keer ga ik daar weer eten. Je moet het gewoon eens proberen. En wie weet vindt je het net zo lekker als wij. En wat ook belangrijk is het restaurant ziet er heel schoon uit.

You can never go wrong in this restaurant. You can choose for French or Lebanese cuisine. The food is very fresh. The people are very friendly. I can recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Un repas franco libanais exceptionnel. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés. Je recommande à 100%. Un accueil chaleureux. Un grand chef à la hauteur de sa cuisine très goûteuse. Le serveur est très à l'écoute. On y retournera sans problème.

Nous avons découvert se restaurant par hasard lors de nos vacances à Benissa. Accueillis par Roger lui même il nous a fait découvrir ses delicieux plats, nous explicants sa cuisine qu'il realise avec passion et amour. Nous nous sommes tellement régaler en goûtant sa cuisine Libanaise que nous y sommes revenus quelques jours après pour découvrir sa cuisine Française, qui est tout aussi délicieuses que la Libanaise ! First time for us today. The ratings match with the experience. Elaborated cuisine by a chef that puts all his soul on what he does. Portions are big too. But quality is the best thing here. By the time we were finishing with our main, the chef (not sure if he's French or Libanaisse) came to our table to ask about our dinner and talk to us a bit. You can get a very pleasant meal for 25€. Less if you want, too.

Absolutely outstanding food and service. Cannot recommend enough, if you can go you absolutely should as it's the best meal I've had in as long as I can remember. Especially as someone who doesn't eat meat it was great to have such delicious food and great options. Family that had the mixed grill loved it too. Service is amazing and friendly. Staying or living in Moreira? Then you should definitely try out this exquisit restaurant. We had a splendid evening at 2 Papillon and would very much recommend you to try it out! You can choose between a French or Libanese menu and a variety of fresh dishes of the day. The owner used to be a chef in a Parisienne restaurant and now brings his experience of creating tasty food here. We very much enjoyed chefs warmeliness , passionately talking about the food and even inviting us to watch him prepare it in the open kitchen. Our course started with a scrumptious avocado and shrimp Appetizer, followed by a tender pepper steak. You can also tell that he has been teaching how to prepare deserts for many years in Paris when tasting some of his freshly made sweets. The restaurant is relatively new and still a secret Tipp. So..try it as soon as you can :) Looking forwards to our next time already.

Fantastic experience at this restaurant. We were the only customers when we visited but this meant we had great service. Warm goats cheese salad to start was sublime, we had a cassoulet & a beef bourginon for mains & both were exceptionally good. Owner / Chef has many years experience as a top chef in Paris & his passion for good food is very evident in the quality of food he served. We will be returning to try the Lebanese menu!

Die Vorspeisen umfangreich und lecker, die Gerichte (verschiedene Fleischspiesse, mit Zuchini überbackene Dorade) waren sehr geschmackvoll zubereitet ohne überwürzt zu sein. Über den libanesischen Wein bis zu den leckeren Nachspeisen (Baklava ist hier kein übersüßtes Gebäck) war es ein Besuch den wir sicher wiederholen. Danke für die frisch und lecker zubereiteten Gerichte und die gute Bedienung.

Visited as a result of the high star rating. Food was great. Ignore the 2 star man. Roger knows how to "chef". We are a well travelled couple and know our food.This was very good tasty food at a good price. Roger came to our table. He's very proud of what he serves and rightly so. A great night for us. There are 2 menu styles, French or Lebanese. We chose the Lebanese set menu. The starters were amazing. My wife had the meatballs, and the flavour was incredible. We talked to other patrons that recommended the French menu as well.

By far my favourite place to eat in Moraira. It's a real gem. Regardless of whether you have the French or Lebanese menu, the food is delicious and there are also specials, which change frequently. The waiter is super friendly, the chef Roger is super friendly and his wife is also super friendly. There is also air-con inside the restaurant during the hot summer months. It's worth trying to fit in a dessert because the chocolate mousse is to die for!!

Escogimos el menú Libanés y la comida era exquisita; consta de un primer plato con una degustación de entrantes típicos (cantidad genial y buenísimo) y un segundo principal a elegir entre varios (opcion carne, pescado y verdura entre todos los pltos a elegir) Los sabores muy especiales, comida muy elaborada y fresca, sin duda alguna volveremos!! Delicious meal. We were the only couple in this cute restaurant initially, so it felt intimate and a little romantic ( although we're both in our 70's!). A tape of light jazz music was played. We shared a mezze to start then my husband had fish while I had chicken shwarma - the flavour of which was great - so fresh! Our waiter was pleasant and the chef introduced himself and check how we had found the meal. We assured him we had enjoyed the evening and would definitely return.

Eigenaar van de tent heet Roger, hij was nog niet open toen ik langsliep en hij heette me welkom in zijn restaurant. Hij legde me het Libanese & Franse menu uit om vervolgens wat van zijn specialiteiten in zijn keuken te laten zien en ruiken. Deze man is top!! Alleen voor deze man is het al waard hier te eten, maar hij kan ook nog eens koken als een chef! Mijn vriendin en ik aten heerlijke traditionele Libanese gerechten. Roger gaf aan in Libanon te zijn opgegroeid en in Parijs de koksschool te hebben gevolgd waarna hij jaren daar heeft gewerkt. Nu hier in Moraira heeft hij de keuken van zijn roots mét de keuken waar hij heeft leren cheffen weten te mixxen onder de naam: Aux 2 Papillons - in andere woorden: 2 vlinders uit verschillende landen. Nog wat fun facts: - er liepen een hoop salamanders op de bomen en muren - roger was zo vrijgevig om 2 sigaretjes af te staan omdat ik er geen meer had.

Both Mrs P and myself love middle eastern / north African cuisine and since our favourite Lebanese joint, Balbec, suddenly closed in Valencia last year, we have struggled to find another good authentic restaurant, that could provide us with this type of food. So yesterday on a bit of a whim and with our fingers crossed, we went for a little run out and headed over to Moraira. More precisely to Aux Deux Papillons, a Lebanese come French restaurant, sat back, a 150 meters from the Med amongst a strip of bars and cafes in a busy commercial block. Lots of tables outside on the terrace, but we chose to sit inside, in a small, but really nicely furnished dining area. With a nice bar at the back and a great view into the open kitchen. We sat either side of an open window, that provided a lovely breeze on a hot day. There isn't a traditional menu as such, but 2 set menus. One of traditional Lebanese cuisine, the other, old school French classics. We didn't come for French tucker, so we opted for the Lebanese set menu, at €25 per person. The chef Roger, who was born and raised in Lebanon, but who trained in Lucerne Switzerland, before forging a culinary career in Paris, arrived in Moraira 2 years ago, opening this lovely place. Chef Roger was immediately on hand tableside, to explain his menu and dishes, including 2 starter additions, that were not printed on the menu. I was even invited into the spotless kitchen, so that he could show me the prepared meat, fish and other dishes that were to follow. It is fabulous to see somebody so passionate and moreso proud of his homeland dishes and of what he prepares. So onto the food and drink. We ordered a delicious, creamy, ice cold Verdejo (€17), and large bottle of still water. When that arrived we were also presented with a bowl of plump olives, thinly sliced cured salami and mixed nuts for us to nibble on while the food arrived. When it came it wasn't to share as we expected, but a plate each, of amazing meze accompanied by hot thin pitta. Baba ganoush, smokey and earthy, wonderful. Hummus, smooth and silky, to die for. A tender vine leaf, stuffed with chopped cooked rice, delicious. A handmade warm pastry filled with spinach, crisp and light. Tabbouleh, freshly chopped while we waited, the flat leaf interlaced with fresh mint, Bulger wheat, tomato concasse and a hint of lemon, amazing. Finally, and my favourite, from a spectacular selection, a hot homemade falafel, light crispy and wonderfully zingy, served with a tahini sauce atop a small mixed salad. Spectacular and enough food to service a small army. The first main course we chose consisted of the meat mix grill. A great mixture of beef kofte, chicken breast and tender lean lamb kebabs, served with a garlic sauce. The second was a traditional beef Kebbe. Aromatic as it was laced with cinnamon, with a hint of sweetness pushing through the lean pressed beef, from tiny golden raisins and pine nuts and served with a home made yoghurt sauce and a chiu croute salad. Both dishes were served with potatoes, carrot and a stunning courgette puree laced with butter. Immense. Sadly we could only manage half the food between us, but no waste, as we took it boxed up home. That will feed us both again tomorrow. We couldn't manage dessert as we were so stuffed, but we were given ice cold fresh melon pieces anyway. You could have selected a traditional baklava that looked sticky sweet amazing, or 5 or 6 other French classic desserts, all home made on site. But only if you were more careful, not like us, and you had left a little room. For all that delicious food, and trust me there was lots, a great wine, water and coffee, for 2 people, €75.00. Terrific value. We told Chef Roger that we had driven over from Oliva just to try his restaurant, he was humbled and very grateful. But at the end of the day why wouldn't you, when you fancy the best middle eastern food, this side of the Lebanon?

Muy recomendable.Todo riquísimo, hemos pedido un menú libanés y medio menú de francés. El falafel, espectacular y el hummus de berenjena y el cous-cou y las brochetas... El confit de pato lo recomiendo, la salsa "para sucar pan", riquísimo. Los platos abundantes. El camarero muy amable y al final del servicio el chef sale para preguntar qué tal todo, mesa a mesa. Todo un detalle.

Pedimos un menú libanés y uno francés, todo lo que nos sirvieron estaba delicioso. El precio del menú francés me parece un poco elevado, pero vamos, lo sabroso de la comida lo compensa.

Súper recomendable visitar este restaurante si estás por la zona. Reservamos mesa después de leer las buenas reseñas y no nos defraudó. El menú libanés impresionante y recomendamos dejar hueco para pedir la tarta de limón. Uno de los postres más ricos que hemos probado. También probamos un trozo de tarta de manzana que tuvieron el detalle de sacarle a mi hija y estaba de escándalo. Además, la atención buenísima. Estamos deseando repetir!

Muy recomendable. Hay opción de comida francesa o libanesa. Pedimos todo libanés y estaba buenísimo y el postre Mouhalabieh (perdón si no lo escribo correctamente) era increíble ❤️

Súper recomendable visitar este restaurante si estás por la zona. Reservamos mesa después de leer las buenas reseñas y no nos defraudó. El menú libanés impresionante y recomendamos dejar hueco para pedir la tarta de limón. Uno de los postres más ricos que hemos probado. También probamos un trozo de tarta de manzana que tuvieron el detalle de sacarle a mi hija y estaba de escándalo. Además, la atención buenísima. Estamos deseando repetir!

Ayer fuimos a cenar al restaurante y nos encantó! Escogimos el menú Libanés y la comida era exquisita; consta de un primer plato con una degustación de entrantes típicos (cantidad genial y buenísimo) y un segundo principal a elegir entre varios (opcion carne, pescado y verdura entre todos los pltos a elegir) Los sabores muy especiales, comida muy elaborada y fresca, sin duda alguna volveremos!! Queremos destacar la especial atención y trato por parte del chef/ dueño del restaurante…una persona encantadora en la que se nota enseguida el cariño y empeño que pone en su proyecto… da gusto encontrar sitios así!!! Totalmente recomendable

Restaurante que me dejó un maravilloso sabor de boca. Impecable servicio con una atención perfecta, simpatía, buen estar y servicio rápido, la comida buenísima, producto fresco, todo un "Caprice des Dieux". Mi más sincera enhorabuena a Roger y compañía. Recomendable 100%.

Waren heute spontan das erste mal hier essen . Sehr herzlich empfangen, nette Atmosphäre . Das Essen war wirklich sehr gut und wir haben uns Wohl gefühlt und einen schönen Abend gehabt. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder .

Nos ha gustado muchísimo. Probamos tanto el menú francés como el libanés. Del francés los caracoles y el pollo guisado. Nunca una pechuga de pollo ha estado tan jugosa. Del libanés, los entrantes todos ellos muy buenos. El plato principal elegimos las brochetas mixtas e igualmente buenísimas. Tanto el servicio como la relación calidad/ precio buena. Tiene pocas mesas en el salón y tiene terraza. Son duda es una muy buena opción.

No puedo valorar la comida porque solo paramos a tomar un café. Que me sorprendió lo rico que está, de verdad. Nos atendió el super simpatico cocinero libanés/francés.

We visited the restaurant due to all the positive reviews which we unfortunately cannot confirm. The waiter was very cool and uninviting and commented on one of the dishes we chose with ”that is difficult to make, we are busy” although only one table was taken. The vegetarian plate was missing at least three items when compared to the picture in one of the previous reviews and therefore very overprized (small portions of hummus, babaganoush, falafel, salad and wine leaves for 22 euros). Food was of average taste. Upon leaving our child was forcefed with sweets by the cook and the waiter even if we said no and our daughter did not want the sweets either.

Son menus cerrados, no puedes elegir platos por separado, como en la mayoría de restaurantes. Para mi, demasiado abundante, sobre todo para una cena. Pedí menú libanés, bien en general.

Quite friendly owner and waiter. Food was ok but not real authentic Libanees. The restaurant is perhaps more geared to French food. Many original Libanees food was not available. Bread was not the original Libanees bread. Service was vey good but again had hoped to get a real Libanees dinner. If you are looking for a real Libanees restaurant then this restaurant is not the one

El menu libanés estaba ok, ya el francés no nos gustó. Pedimos escargot y magret de canard. De las 12 unidades de escargot, 3 no sabían bien, pero ok, puede suceder. Dejamos la expectativa para el magret, que fue decepcionante. La salsa tenia tanto ajo que no se podía apreciar el sabor del pato (y mira que nos gusta el ajo, pero en ese caso era demasiado). Por se tratar de un menu de 33€ sin postre y bebida, esperábamos más.

Visité le mardi soir 27 juin 2023 Notre invitée ayant exprimé le désir de ne prendre qu'une entrée (mezze) et un dessert, nous avons au moment du règlement découvert que ce repas etait facturé 25 euros comme un menu complet. Nous avons manifesté notre étonnement auprès du serveur, réponse un dessert remplace un plat.....(prix d'un plat 19 euros, prix d'un dessert 6 euros) En ce qui concerne la cuisine correcte sans plus, portion généreuse, service agréable. Ce moquer du client n'est pas la meilleure façon de faire pour le fidéliser.
