Cava bar is great! Victoria makes it even better; the mix drinks she made were great! Delicious, the information she gave us about the raisillas and mezcal from cava was excellent, we bought 2 bottles. Thank you!!!
Fun place to hang out, and nice ambiance especially around the bar. Friendly staff. The food was pretty good, but my favorite thing was the Nopalito cocktail.
El Tiburón in Sayulita is an absolute gem. The brisket in mole sauce was incredibly flavorful—rich, well-balanced, and clearly prepared with care. The chicken burger was another standout: perfectly crisp on the outside while staying juicy and moist on the inside. The cocktails were delicious and thoughtfully crafted, making it easy to linger and enjoy the evening. What truly elevates El Tiburón, though, is the atmosphere and service. The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. The ambience strikes that rare balance—casual and relaxed, yet undeniably classy. It’s the perfect spot for a date night, a girls’ night out, or anytime you want great food, excellent drinks, and a stylish but comfortable setting. El Tiburón is definitely a place I’ll be returning to again and again.
Oh my goodness what a wonderful restaurant El Tiburón is! The food and drinks are amazing and the atmosphere top notch! The owner Sathya is such a nice person, very generous and hospitable! Highly recommend for a 10/10 experience!
The tequila selection here is awesome and such a good value for the price. We just got two G4 huge pour shots for $7.50, in the US this costs $18 a shot. Super good value and all the bartenders here are super friendly very kind. Great service. We did not have any food, but it’s a wonderful spot for happy hour cocktails and tequila or drinks anytime. Jouse was the bartender both times and was awesome. Came here three times in a week because of him and the other bartenders!
We ended up stopping at El Tiburón twice during our stay. We got tacos the first time, and then a quesadilla the second time. On both occasions we were beyond impressed. Some of the best food in the city, a very cute/aesthetic vibe, and most importantly lovely bathrooms. This should be a must stop when you visit!
One of the tastiest meals I have experienced in quite some time anywhere. I had the catch of the day ( Snapper) . It was executed perfectly. Vegetables are yummy with an asparagus purée. My wife had the Oaxacan Smoked Brisket and it is truly elevated. The au gratin potatoes were fantastic. Servers are outstanding and they are knowledgeable. Going back for more! Oh yeah I recommend the Watermelon Cucumber margaritas too. Dessert also is yummy.
Michelin Guide worthy. At least a Bib Gourmand. Excellent service. Impeccably clean facilities. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I had the burger (medium rare - I was craving American) and it was phenomenal. The rest of the party had a catch of the day and the birria and they enjoyed it thoroughly. The food came very quickly. I highly recommend this place 👌
We were looking for a restaurant and the host lured us in by telling the kids they had Mac and cheese. I was lured in by the cocktails. I am had 2 that were both delicious. The mango cocktail was my favorite. The watermelon cocktail was very good too. My wife got the hamburger that was delicious. The staff was super friendly. The only complaint was that the food took a long time to arrive.
I wish I’d taken a picture of my burger as it was a sight to behold. Unfortunately, I was ravenous and ate it quickly. I visited here 5 times during my 8 day stay and everything, I mean everything was fantastic. The staff is 100% awesome and their happy hours and drinks are some of the best in town. Live music on Monday from 5-7. It’s traditional Mexican songs accompanied by guitar and it’s lovely. Don’t miss this spot. I’m going to miss it.
Three dinners in Sayulita and this one topped the list with food quality. A few steps from the main drag of town, this improves the setting but it was indoor dining on an evening with 73' weather and no rain. Servers were super polite and almost formal which surprised us given the upbeat and casual context of the restaurant (no tablecloths but the napkins were super fancy). Menu was a mix of American and Mexican food, with a clear streak of maritime influence. We went for Chips + Guac (needed salt, slightly over processed, creamy, 3.5/5); roasted broccoli and asparagus with mashed sweet potato and pumpkin seeds (best veggie dish we had for the trip, 5/5); Mac and cheese (spicy and creamy is hard to pull off, and done well with this comfort food 5/5); red snapper entree (nicely prepared,4.5/5); and chamorro (cochinita) pibil with pickled onions and cabbage (truly stellar 5+/5, creative combination on the veggie front and seasoning was perfect for our table). Prices were a bit higher than other places but we would say totally worth it.
Super spot for dinner, food was delicious, service was fantastic and the atmosphere was chill. Prices were very reasonable for what we got. 3 of us split a bunch of plates, including the spicy smashed avocado, Zicatela shrimp, firecracker shrimp, tuna crudo and whatever the fish of the day was. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Super clean bathroom, love how the place is in an alley, keeps things fairly quiet on a loud weekend evening.
This place has amazing food and a great happy hour from 4-7! Service is on point and it is very cute and clean! Oh, and they have AC!!! Not too many restaurants have that here. The oysters Rockefeller were pricey but incredible! We also loved the broccoli and asparagus dish. The happy hour items, wachos, truffle fries, Mac n cheese, and tacos were all great! We came back twice which is saying a lot because I had quite a list of restaurants I wanted to make it to!
This place is a wonderful spot for drinks and dinner! My husband and I came here last night and tonight, both meals were wonderful. Tonight I got the cucumber watermelon margarita and it was refreshing and well made. For entrees, I got the shrimp and grits dish and it was one of my favorite shrimp and grits dishes I have ever had! My husband got the tuna tataki and while a bit small, it was definitely mighty with its spice! We also got the Wachos (not pictured) since it was happy hour. They were delicious and I had to stop myself from eating them, they were just so good. Lastly we got the cheesecake and while it was good, it wasn’t your traditional cheesecake. It’s a bit more like bread pudding in my opinion. Overall, lovely restaurant with great food and nice staff. Make this a stop when in Sayulita!
Tried most of the restaurants here… Best dinner in Sayulita!! And the most wonderful, attentive staff. Carmen was such a delight - we came back 2x and made sure we sat in her section both times. Absolutely loved every dish we tried… Smashed avocado, firecracker shrimp, Birria, duck tacos, pork belly tacos, fajitas, duck entree, brisket entree and ribeye entree.. the Jamaica sour drink was amazing as well!! Oh and don’t forget a yummy dessert at the end. When you go, make sure you sit in Carmen’s section! Ambiance and music were both great! So lively and fun.
Absolutely delicious with amazing service! Friendly people and very welcoming, our group of 6 were completely blown away at the food quality, presentation, taste, and how taken care of we felt. We discovered a secret diamond on the menu I hope you can give it a try... it’s a soup you might normally overlook! Thank you again El Tiburón Sayulita!
It was awful. Awful hostess in the front (young European woman with bleach/orange faded short hair with an attitude. I made a reservation and by the time my family was supposed to be seated she said she could only accommodate 6, even though I had a reservation. She then told me that management had changed within the past 3 weeks. Who changes management during holidays? Nonetheless, I could tell she was just not wanting to accommodate my family. The crowd seemed younger and it felt like she was just prejudice toward my family. She gave me 3 excuses, first she could only accommodate 2, then management change and the 3rd excuses the kicker, is they didn't honor phone reservations, but she definitely had my name down as she repeated my information back. This is a place that is looking to overcharge and over serve alcohol. It was very disappointing, so we took our business elsewhere.
