Tijdens onze vacantie in Nerja zijn we bijna elke avond voor een gezellige dagafsluiting naar The Ship Bar gegaan. Een gezellig en zeer vriendelijk koppel personeel, Jenna, Amanda, Luca en Nick oa. Werd bezocht door diverse nationaliteiten die daar onderling leuk met elkaar genoten van drankjes en hapjes die werden geserveerd. Wij komen graag terug.

Love this bar. Very friendly staff, Apple cake and sticky toffee pudding to die for; and sobrano and coffee as an after dinner drink. We don't have coffee in a restaurant anymore after dinner but head to the Ship for their offerings.

Top spot, directly across from the hotel and a much better bar than the dull hotel effort. Please keep using the hotel bar, so the rest of us can get comfortable in the Ship. Good range of drinks & some great snacks. Eat, drink & be very merry. 🍟🍺☺️

Just got back from a 2 week holiday in Nerja at the Riu Monica this little bar was opposite and served nice lunches with friendly staff especially Luka and Amanda who do an amazing job my sister and I loved the dry martinis!! Will deffo visit in the future.

I have been going to the ship twice a year for eight years what a bar. Not alone are the drinks of high standard but everything else about the establishment. The staff are second to none so pleasant Miriam, Amanda, Janna and the former Patricia who is really missed. The proprietor can be so proud not to mention the cleanliness. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The drinks are also fairly priced and there is a nice ambiance. If you like to have some time for yourself there is a book shelve in the back from which you can read or bring a book.

Staff couldn't be more helpful, Prices for drink are very reasonable Never ate here, but menu looked good, and ideal for lunch in my opinion, some very good restaurants within a couple of minutes walk for dinner, staff were great, sangria is excellent, it's not full of ice, which makes room for a full litre in the jug, if you need ice, they will give you as much as you want separately, good bar all round

Having spent a while in Nerja this November The Ship has become our local. Great service thanks to Jose, Joy, Gerry, Miriam, Belinda & your amazing manageress. What a lovely sun drenched bar. My favorite Leffe Brune (Careful! It packs a punch) and a sausage baguette and chips. Quick and easy. Service was lovely and very rapid. Enjoyable 45 minutes

The owner and staff make this the best little LOCAL away from home. You feel like your one of the locals the minute you sit down. The food is great and the drink is plenty. Just relax and solve the problems of the world the you could care less about, well for that hour or two.

This place is great for some cheap drinks. The bartender was friendly. The food was just very basic and simple. Cash only!!! We got a little screwed.

Nice place for a drink and dutch-Indonesian snacks. We had the spicy fried rice, it is a savory rice patty. The large fries are abundant, crispy and not greasy at all. The staff is friendly, although a bit slow.

This is a bar directly opposite the Riu Monica hotel and was popular with people from the hotel and passing trade. Being on the street, it is good for people watching and a laid back drink. Worth popping in for a pint.

A lovely bar! We called in most evenings during a recent holiday. Staff are welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Food and drink prices are competitive. The Ship is a great place to relax and watch the world go by, it is popular with ex-pats and guests of the large hotel opposite so can get busy but seating can usually be found. If in Nerja you must visit the Ship!

Been to this bar many times over the years but sadly had a bad experience this time, the manager was so rude to the customers it was like an episode from Falty Towers. She seems to hate her customers. Recommend a change of staff..

Pleasant pub run by a Belgian lady and her team - outside area great for afternoon sunshine - very good and friendly service - generous wine measures unlike many of the Spanish bars where you get an eyewash - I don't drink spirits but if you do, beware as they serve 4 to 6 times the English measures - popular both day and night

It's ok, only had a drink here. I think it gets more customers than it deserves. It's a bit drab inside. It looks like it could do with redecorating. Service was okay but slower than it could be, staff seemed a bit disinterested.

Gemiddelde bar zonder echt thema. Er hangen wat klokken aan de muur, ???. Personeel begint om 22.30 al te roepen om "last round". Willen zeker zelf nog naar een echt gezellige bar.

Poor service, gas station quality food, decent location on Main Street near the beach. They don’t accept credit cards, pounds, or dollars. First bar or restaurant in Spain that I’ve encountered in 12 days which doesn’t accept cards. They only bring change upon request. Least satisfying establishment in 12 days of otherwise average to excellent service throughout Spain.

Stopped here for a drink, then once we ordered the bill we was told CASH only, we had no cash so one of us had to go to the cash machine that charged 4.95€ for a 20€ withdrawal. when we complained they pointed out a tiny sticker on the napkin despenser saying 'no vaping' & 'cash only' terrible there are NO CLEAR SIGNS, stating tax 'dodging cash only' !!!! AVOID !!!!!!

This is a great bar, but the 2 staff need to go to charm school. Very rude and spoke to other customers in a derogatory way. So it wasn't just us. Awful atmosphere.

This place is a real shame. We have been using The Ship every night of our holidays since 2006 and we have always loved it and have may happy memories ! However we went this time and the manager of that evening (Tuesday) was extremely rude regarding us simply sitting at the bar where we have sat many many times before and where the stalls were already placed. Sadly we will not be using this again.

Such a shame that our experience last night was not that of our numerous previous visits over the many years that we have been coming to Nerja. We always look forward to our nightly visits to the Ship but after last night and the way in which we were spoken to by one of the bar staff we will be boycotting. This place was always such a fun and friendly bar with great staff who knew how to look after their customers. So sad that I am having to write this and I am not one to write a scathing review but absolutely felt that I had to.

Endast kontant betalning, enligt de så har de funnits i 25 år så vi borde känna till det 😅 Blev en lång resa för min man för att hämta kortet och upphitta en ATM för uttag och resa tillbaka för att betala. Tråkig upplevelse för 4.80:- Speciellt när det fanns en massa andra uteserveringar med utsikt istället!!! Bara nga meter därifrån! Men men… vi vet det till nästa gång!

The waitress was for the second time - rude and unwelcoming. i would not recommend this place. Tables dirty and i had to ask for a cloth to clean it I asked for a simple cheese and tomato baguette and was told the kitchen was closed yet they had menus sitting on the tables.! i said maybe take the menus away if that's the case as it's misleading . I was informed she had better things to do and that it had always been this way. The very last time i will give them a penny - cleanliness debatable ...menus all sticky and dirty and like someone else said,busier than they deserve ! Also heard her bitching to her colleague about me ! lovely!
