Great coffee!!
Best coffee beans and wisdom from this cafe. Our visit was truly priceless
Iced Americano was stupid good. Some of the best coffee I've had. Wouldn't look anywhere else in PV.
The owner knows his coffees. Wish he could get in some Pluma from Oaxaca but the roasted coffees he has is good. Very friendly guy.
Our favorite source for coffee and beans in PV
Great coffee. They roast their own. They have dark roast. Yummy
Daily roasted coffee. Mix the beans to your own taste. Yum.
Tres bon cafe. Les propriétaire sont tres sympathique.

Great beans!
Some of the best roasted beans you will get in the world. Wenceslas is a master roaster. Don't miss this place if you want exceptional coffee!
Organic coffee, mountain grown, roasted on site daily, ☕. This coffee has a clean taste, without the chemical aftertaste of the coffee in the sealed packages you buy at the supermarket. Bought a kilo too
Everyone must visit!!! This is our favourite place for coffee in Puerta Vallarta. We stumbled across this coffee shop by accident. Small shop with a few tables to sit and enjoy your morning coffee. Also, coffee to-go is an option. The coffee is out of this world and they roast their own coffee beans too! The owner Wenceslas and his wife Julie are wonderful, friendly and inviting people. Wenceslas speaks a variety of different languages. He knows his stuff. He was very kind to us while we were down in PVR. We found ourselves going back almost every morning for coffee and for the company. We highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting PVR or anyone living in the area. Great coffee. Amazing company :)
Excellent coffee. Very friendly service (Wen and Juli). They always remember my name and what I usually order. Wenceslao, the owner is a master roaster and uses local beans from the nearby mountains. It's small but perfect for excellent coffee.
The coffee is fantastic. People I refer end up taking home 3-5 kilos sometimes. At a little over $5usd a pound, how can you not? Many consider it superior to the Mary coffee from San Sebastian. I like its lack of alkalinity personally. The owner Wenses and his partner Julie are nice to chat with as well. I believe that Wenses apprenticed under the founder of the famous high end coffee chain Torrefazione Italia (before Starbucks bought and closed them.) Little known coffee fact, the darker a coffee is roasted, the more caffeine is burned off. Fun experiment: buy the light and medium roast and you don't just taste the difference, you feel it! They are open M-F 9-3pm. Enjoy!
Great espresso!! I had a great conversation with the owner, he has travelled a lot and is just a nice person to chat with. They roast their own coffee beans which is cool too!!
Cool little coffee shop in the Cinco de decembre neighborhood. We pick up his whole bean dark and medium every time we come to PV.
Amazing coffee. Will be back !
Wen and Julie were so great to talk to! The coffee is wonderful! Not a lot of space but that’s what makes the place so relaxed, the slow pace is perfect for a calm cup of coffee.
The real deal. Beans from a family plantation way up in the mountains. Has a massive commercial roaster right there . Custom blends.full bean or custom grinding. I like 60 dark,40 medium. Perfect.short hours but worth it.
Wonderful service and great coffee! Easy walking distance from where I stay and glad I discovered this place this trip
Wenceslao and Julie are great. We really enjoyed our coffees, and we also bought half a pound of super freshly roasted beans. They roast their coffee three times a day. We chose a medium roast and it pulls beautifully in our espresso machine at home. I would strongly recommend picking up beans from them.
If you are looking for a unique coffee, you need to try the dark roast. We had ours ground for a drip machine; it was robust but clean, with absolutely no bitterness. We drink a lot of coffee and were very impressed.
The owner is the most wonderful person to sit down and have a conversation with. The coffee is roasted fresh in house and the atmosphere is wonderful. Highly recommend this cafe for anyone looking for a nice experience in Puerto Vallarta
This place is the real deal, and Wenceslao was wonderfully entertaining as he prepared my coffee beans for the grinder. I asked for a half-pound of Obscuro ground to espresso, and have just made myself an after-dinner cup, and it's dark and rich and so much better than the schlock I've been drinking since I got here. I can't believe it's taken five trips to Puerto Vallarta before I discovered Cafe Oro Verde. Totally worth the half-hour walk from the northern hotel zone (or just a hop on a bus).
Our go to place for over 20 years for the best coffee in Vallarta. Wen roasts the beans to perfection and every cup is like magic. Add to that his funny stories and jokes and the people you meet from all over the world you have a true old Vallarta experience every time you visit. You must take a package or two home with you either for use here in your Vallarta home or for your abode back uo North.
Cool hip coffee roaster located in 5 de Decembre neighborhood of Puerto Vallarta. Fantastic fresh roasted coffee sourced from Tupic Mexico. Thank you Wenseslaus for your medium roasted beans that make yummy Americanos and Espresso. Make Cafe de Oro Verde a must visit for coffee on your next visit to Puerto Vallarta
Awesome little coffee shop tucked off the main strip! We were really lucky to pass by this place and it was open. We walked in and had two of the best coffees we have had in PV! The beans are roasted on site and available to purchase and take home with you. We will be returning after breakfast to get a few bags to take with us. They will also grind the beans to your preferred consistency. I got the mocha which had Mexican chocolate melted into it. It was rich and delightful. My husband got a classic americano with milk and really enjoyed it. The owners are kind and passionate about their craft. Very friendly service. Sad we found it on our last day in town, but we will definitely be back on our next visit.
After looking for a coffee shop with in house roasting, my wife and I with our two young daughters. What a cool experience. Small little coffee shop, that roasts beans every day - multiple times a day too. Our cappuccinos were on point ! The owners were 2 wonderful people and we can’t wait to be back - ps can you ship to us in Canada 😀
Small local Cafe selling their coffee and their own organic freshly roasted coffee. The owner/roaster has been doing coffee for many many years. He's well versed on coffee and available to answer any questions. Very friendly and welcoming place to visit.
I got some fresh ground coffee today! 1st time to this place. The smell of the fresh roasted coffee just draws you in and the lovely man packaging the coffee (who is great to chat with) keeps you there with his fun conversation. Great Coffee! Thanks so much
The BEST coffee in my world! My husband and I went there on a recommendation, almost 15 to 20 years ago. Because I cannot have too much caffeine, I purchased the dark roast at the owner's recommendation, and love it intensely. My husband and I used to go to Puerto Vallarta twice a year for many years, only stopping when we moved into a retirement community and could not travel anymore. God bless them for the wonderful coffee beans that they roast!
Beautifully smooth espresso for my cappuccino. Rich taste and flavor and an amazingly courteous, informative staff. It’s enlightening to see the beans are sourced nearby and roasted on location. Definitely don’t waste your time at your resorts Starbucks or more pristine shops with bug brand roaster names. If you’re here earlier in the morning have smaller bills to help them out
Coffee lovers, please do yourself a favor and come here for the best coffee you’ll have in Puerto Vallarta. My biggest regret is not discovering this gem sooner. Cafe Oro Verde is definitely worth going out of your way for. The owner is incredibly nice and knowledgeable about coffee and he roasts in-house! In fact, you can see the roaster in the back of the cafe. Despite the pandemic, the drinks are priced very reasonably, especially for the quality of coffee you get! (Ugh, I’m still beating myself up for not discovering this place sooner...otherwise I would’ve visited every day that its open!) The hours might not be updated on Google, but it is currently operating MWF from 10am-1pm. Wenceslao (the owner) and his partner Julie roast the beans fresh every day that they’re open. Oh what a difference it makes in coffee! I ordered a large latte with almond milk (40 pesos total! Yes please!!) It was so delicious. It was made with the medium roast which I really enjoyed. It has smooth chocolatey notes. During normal times, I think you can sit inside this small cafe and enjoy your coffee as you watch people walk by. It looks like a great spot for people watching haha. I got ¼ kilo of light coffee beans and a ¼ kilo of medium coffee beans (which is about a pound total) for 125 pesos. Again, extremely reasonable prices for freshly roasted coffee beans. I can’t wait to come back and visit again--next time with friends and family. If it’s any local business to support, it’s this one! Truly, Cafe Oro Verde is not a place you want to miss out on. I highly recommend going out of your way to grab a cup of coffee and chat with Wenceslao if you get the chance. My heart is so full!
First a disclaimer. We are self-confessed coffee snobs and were looking for a decent coffee place while in Puerto Vallarta. We didn't have a good coffee since leaving shores of Australia and could not find anything good in the States. So we thought we could try our luck in the country that is one of the biggest coffee producer in the world. No luck... Until we discovered this place. We had the best coffee in North America and purchased some to take home with us. We still cherish those personally stamped paper bags. Can't wait to go there again. I hope the owner stays in good health as we would love to see him again and have a nice coffee and a chat.

Great coffee in a modest setting. Seating is limited but the cortados are delicious. Gentleman who runs the place is pleasant.
Very friendly service. Purchased coffee beans that we can't wait to try at home.
Wish it was open longer
If you are looking for third wave coffee shop, a skilled barista, or a crafted espresso drink, this is not what you’re looking for. They offer only regular or almond milk, do not offer pour overs, and do not have any drinks unique to the shop. I ordered an iced americano and received a pint glass of ice with the espresso shot. The espresso was not flavorful. The shop is small, sunny, and not air conditioned. I don’t recommend coming here to drink coffee.
A roaster, not really a coffee shop. Coffee did not meet my expectations with all the reviews about how wonderful it is. Tastes over roasted to me however, I prefer light roasts. Owners are friendly.
