Great food and amazing service. Wellfleet oysters were great, along with pork belly, and lumpia. Leah was our server and she was great - friendly, knowledgeable, and recommended some great dishes. The old fashioned was good. Their limoncello tiramisu was one of a kind and very good.
Rainy Thursday night so not many in the restaurant but we had a great time talking with our server about the food, the drinks and the restaurant. Very tasty Salmon and Swordfish great whisky drinks and wine and delicious desert. We will be back. .
Great time there Sunday night. Had a 5:30 pm reservation and was seated quickly. Started with the Cool Hand Lager and shrimp cocktail, then tried the Donkey Korn Lager with the brick chicken. Everything was wonderful, including my server Leah who is lovely. Asked if I wanted any dessert, but instead of something sweet, I opted for another Cool Hand Lager and sat outside and enjoyed the cool weather and the view. Service was not rushed, but not slow like other reviews have commented. If you want "fast" food, there is a McDonalds down the road with a drive up window. I'll be back !!!
We had an amazing meal and customer service experience on a Thursday evening. I personally ordered the Crispy Pork Belly (appetizer), Long Island Duck (main), and the Tart (dessert). I would also recommend the Octopus Ragu and Panzanella for other appetizers; the Hokkaido Scallops and Marinated Skirt Steak for the main; and the Mille Feuille and Chocolate Cremeaux for dessert. The hazelnut flavor in the mille feuille was the best and recommend this dessert option. Also, had a bit of the chocolate cremeaux with the raspberry sauce from the tart (in photo). I'm a sucker for raspberry chocolate, so I had to try (sorry!) My husband had the Triforce IPA and he said it was good! Although, maybe we were biased because of the name reference. The only little flaw was from where I was seated, the heat from the vent was blasting in mine and my friend's face. Not a very comfortable spot. I bared with it, since it wasn't going to ruin my night or anything, but it wouldn't have been so significant if it wasn't running so powerfully in very frequent intervals for some time. Other than that, I would love to come here again for a nice, casual, and friendly dinner with friends.
5 of us went there on Sunday afternoon. Service was excellent and the food was two. We started with Brussels sprouts to die for and 4 of us got the steak sandwiches. Holy cow! They were delicious - it was skirt steak cooked to perfection. The view was amazing and we enjoyed every moment of our meal.
Food is high quality and delicious. The desserts by the pastry chef, Sarah, are really amazing! Riverside so outdoor dining can be extra cold/windy or hot weather dependent. They priced the food higher than many restaurants out here, but the food is worth it. We always leave happy and full! I’ve eaten here a total of three times now (it’s more of a special occasion spot for us) and each time I’ve been impressed. Last time we were there I ordered the sushi tasting platter and really enjoyed it. We loved how Chef Mike talked to each table and connected with the diners. We felt very at home and the atmosphere was romantic, friendly and cozy. They seem to have a venue for weddings and other events. I peeked in and it looks fantastic with a great view of the river! Update: have gone back many times since this review and I still love this spot! Menu is always changing so there’s always something new to enjoy and dessert selection is fab. Thank Chef Mike and Sarah.
Hands down one of the best meals I've had in a long time. I got the seafood stew and my husband got the branzino with couscous. Chef Mike came out to the table multiple times, and we even watched him seat customers. Every one of the staff contributed to the dining experience. We got the butternut squash tart and Brussels sprouts for appetizers. Dessert was chocolate and passion fruit and the Guillermo del Corno flan with homemade cornflakes. Everything was amazing.
A friend brought me here for birthday dinner and it was an amazing experience. Every appetizer, drink and entree tasted wonderful and bursting with flavor. Our server was very attentive and on top of things. An excellent experience and I very much recommend trying this out. Especially the salmon and Corn Brulee. I will be back!
Absolutely amazing experience. The ambiance the music everything about this place I am in love with it. The food was incredible and decadent so many flavor profiles all tied together beautifully. The plating was beautifully done. The staff is all friendly and welcoming. The chef Mike came out and chatted with us for a bit amazing guy! Amazing chef! Best duck I have ever had in my life!!!
This waterfront, seasonal menu restaurant specializing in seafood & comfort fare should be in your must try list. Not only were the staff friendly, the food tastes heavenly! I couldn't help myself, so I googled who the chef was. He even came out to meet us. Thank you Chef Mike! Looking forward to trying the dinner menu soon!
Fin & Brew is a local jewel. I’ve been a customer since its opening. Chef Mike Anastacio is superb, together with the whole team, creating seasonal menus and cocktails that are inventive and delicious. I love seating outside, when the weather is warm, enjoying a wonderful meal, the Hudson River and a beautiful sunset.
What a wonderful find! A few of us were looking for new places to try and we selected Fin & Brew....this is going to become one of our go to spots. We ate inside, but there is a beautiful deck overlooking the water. The menu had a nice variety, we tried several selections and each one was absolutely delicious! Our waitress Jess was amazing, very helpful with suggestions and knowledgeable about the food.. always a good sign. The cocktails are very well balanced and well crafted. Definitely a place to try!
Service???? Just walked out after waiting 15 minutes for a drink at the bar. Bartender too busy cleaning out the fridge and no one else in sight. Chef Mike comes out to seat a party of 9 ( btw they came in after us…) no wait staff to be seen. Food is good when you can get it . This has happened before . Very disappointed. Won’t be back.
I could not be more disappointed. Be aware this establishment is racist. We found Fin & Brew after a day of hiking and with a storm on our heels. We did not make a reservation but we tried our luck anyway and arrived at about 6pm. The hostess (who later identified herself as the manager) very quickly explained to us that they did not have any tables available until 8pm, over explaining something about how the storm is delaying parties, and recommended we try the pub downstairs because it is more “kid friendly”. Among our party of 5 were my two children ages 5 and 7. We did take her advice and headed downstairs to check out the arcade, but we were excited to dine at Fin & Brew so I decided to pull them up on OpenTable to make the 8pm reservation. To my surprise, I was able to make a reservation for just 15 minutes later. They actually had reservations available throughout the entire evening. I made a 6:15pm reservation and took the opportunity to ask why we were turned away and to express my disappointment. The hostess/manager explained that she did indeed see our reservation in the system, but it must be a mistake because they will not be able to service us. Unfortunately today was the day I had to explain to my young children that sometimes people will take one look at them and refuse them service. I would never recommend visiting this restaurant.
I recently visited Fin and Brew on a Saturday afternoon, hoping to enjoy some appetizers and beers on their patio. However, I was told that the patio is for table service only, which seemed unusual for a brewery. When I spoke with the manager, I felt dismissed and unaccommodated. The response I received was that I needed a reservation, despite the patio being relatively empty. Unfortunately, it seemed like the staff wasn't interested in finding a solution. Maybe it's time for Fin and Brew to rethink their patio policy or adjust their expectations to better serve their customers.
