The greeting was average — not poor and not great. The food was promptly prepared and so very yummy.

Best bagels on the West Coast. I would know. I've searched them all. Not only that, this Einstein bagels in Redding is better than the one in Portland by far. Kudos to the baker!

This place rocks. Great food, and great employees! I was in the other day and the soda machine was acting funny. The staff members each tried to figure out what was up. Unfortunately it had to be repaired or something, but I still got some ice cold lemonade! I really thought it was cool that they all went out of they're way to take a look at it! After all, they aren't coke coke repairmen, they're bagel shop employees! I will definitely be back!

What a great place for a little early morning breakfast. Clean setting and super friendly environment, staff are excellent morning people. The new manager is on top of her game as well, welcoming smile and amazing customer service!! Hard to find at times in this town. Will definitely continue to come back

Literally the best bagels!! Ive been all over california to some amazing bagel shops. But this one takes the cake, soft delicious bagels. Great sandwiches, i typically order an extra plain bagel half cream cheese and half butter. It's the best.

Although it’s too small for the amount of business it gets, it’s staff and location keep me coming back. The food is great, Maddie, Kate, and the rest of the staff do amazing work, especially given the cramped quarters they have to navigate during the daily rush. The place just, has a cool vibe, and the staff alone make the trip in worth it.

I had the Nova Lox bagel 🥯 delicious on a jalepeno bagel the salmon wasn't fishy tasted very fresh. We also had the cheddar bacon egg sandwich the kids loved it

Very delicious bagels. So far I’ve tried 5 different types of bagels (sesame, poppy seeds, “everything”, garlic & onion): they all are tasty and feed well. They were nicely baked. The service was fast.

Brenda and Maddie went above and beyond for my family in order to fix an order that got messed up. As a Customer Service Manager this is not as prevalent in businesses anymore. Amazing place to visit, will continue to visit. Very clean.

Love their bagels and schemers. Small store, but it works. Some indoor and outdoor seating . Parking lot can be tricky, small, busy and poor layout. Location is convenient though. Not open on Monday. Not impressed by staff, they are busy, but not efficient; don’t expect cheerful, not rude, just going through the motions.

The bagels are great here. Always soft and fresh. It is a great place for brunch or breakfast. I just wish the restaurant was larger. It gets very crowded during peak hours. But well worth the the confined space.

I have been coming here for years and I thinks it's gotten better in the last few months!!! I love this place food and service is great!!! All the employees are very nice and seem to all get along the atmosphere there is very welcoming, I have always been treated with respect and greeted with a smile!!! Even when I change my order from how it's usually made they don't have a problem with it and are very helpful at suggesting other cream cheese flavors that may accompany my bagel better!!! If only they had bagel bites or bagel bombs!!!

BIG LIKE. But with reservations... The bagels here are remarkably good, and the wide variety of styles to choose from is impressive. This is why I'm giving all the available stars, though I could in good conscience deduct half-a-point for the reasons that follow, but I won't. Their sandwiches were, let's say, interesting, but nothing special, and the menu selection of meats/cheeses/veggies could have been more varied. But the quality of the bread more than made up for these shortcomings. Your best bet would be to buy a sack full of fresh bagels to take home for later. They're high quality for sure. Bagel freaks will not be disappointed. Being one myself, I will definitely be back. One point of contention I do have that I feel needs to be addressed by corporate, and I'm seeing this a lot in the food service industry these days, is the Casual Fridays On Steroids approach to work wear for the employees. I am not calling anybody a slob or anything—everyone had a clean look and was presentable enough the day I stopped by—but virtually all the workers looked like they just walked in off the street and started making sandwiches. Sneakers and clogs, denim jeans, t-shirts, etc were the order of the day. Oddly, only one server was wearing an apron/cap ensemble—the manager, I assume—as uniforms were otherwise nonexistent. I mean, I'm glad they were all comfy and stuff, as hard as they were working, but come on. You might be inclined to shame me for these observations, or dismiss it as small potatoes. But frankly, pride in one's work is an important element of any workplace that deals directly with customers, and how the servers are dressed actually makes a difference; it shows that the company cares about such things as respectability and integrity, qualities sorely lacking in way too many work environments of late, quite frankly. The fact that more and more fast food places are adopting this lackadaisical approach to personal appearances is no excuse either. Nor is the claim that we live in a society that decreasingly values such things—which is demonstrably true—and that the changes in employee attire guidelines only reflect that evolution. Well call me old-fashioned, but I for one am not buying it. I still won't issue an ungenerous rating, though. I just hold onto the naive hope someone in upper management gets a chance to see this review. No bigs. If nothing else, please keep crankin' out those mui excellente bagels, mm'kay? See you soon.

This place is busy and noisy, but the bagels are great. I would suggest the lox.

Best breakfast sandwich I've had in forever! I love that they will cook the bacon crispy for you if requested. They get the orders out very quickly and the staff works very hard. I also purchased the garden veggie shmear to take home because it's delicious!

I order from here all the time, and they're always the best. Today, I was sent the wrong order. The store dealt with it in such a kind manner. They redid it and gave me an extra breakfast sandwich. Amazing customer service. 10/10 recommend.

Free coffee/iced coffee with your purchase and it's really good too. Id just placed the order online and it was made when I walked in... hot and really good. Super nice guy got me some cinnamon for my coffee. $1 for a yummy rice Krispy treat 😋 all for $10 Great find 🙏

Long lines, the bathroom door is locked with a code. The atmosphere could use a few more degrees in the up direction. Food was good prices sucked

The bagels are amazing! But every time i order a coffee online and have it doordashed, it doesn't come with whipped cream. It's pictured and captioned with whipped cream and caramel drizzle. :(

Great bagels. Sat down to eat inside, kid loved the breakfast bagel, partner and I got lunch. They were fine. We were full and not disappointed in our brunch before a full day of doing stuff. Not sure I would go back for just the sandwiches but I'll def be back for bags of bagels.

Bagel breakfast sandwiches always hit the spot. However, it's hit or miss with service. Sometimes I'm in and out, other times the high school aged girls that work there are more interested in gossiping and talking to each other. I think a stronger management is needed to ensure quality of service every time.

The food here is always great. Unfortunately, the customer service left a lot to be desired. From the moment I walked in, the staff was inattentive and unwelcoming. I waited about 10 minutes at the register before being told to move to the other end of the counter if I wanted to be helped (I was at the order register). The girl that rang me up was less then happy that I was there. I understand restaurants get busy, but basic courtesy and communication go a long way - and sadly, that was lacking here.It's disappointing because I love their food but this seems to be the standard here.

I love the bagels. I usually get cinnamon raisin bagels and I love every kind of bagel they have and I love their Schmear but these guys can’t be open Mondays when it is nine dollar Monday for a dozen bagels and they advertise that on their app and the Redding location is not opened Mondays so does that mean that I can redeem it on a Tuesday since they are not open Monday

3 star overall. Not open Mondays, so I can never utilize Einstein Monday deals. The app is one of the most difficult for both myself and staff in store to figure out, and using the app means I get a limited menu. Not everything offered in the restaurant is available via the app. Staff is pretty neutral, not a lot of energy or happy moods overall. Just 'here's your order. Next." Definitely disappointing since they're a locally owned and operated company. Management isn't especially refreshing. I've encountered him once before, and he's quite curt. The restaurant as a whole is very small, making busy times difficult to navigate in or out and makes seating difficultas there are only a few tables. Pick-up orders are also difficult during busy times as grab and go customers are standing seemingly in the way no matter where they go. There is no organization or flow. Coffee deals offered through the app are only available if one orders via the app. So when you get free coffee for a month, you can only access it with a purchase through the app. The whole experience is far less than desirable. Once I use up money I added to the app, I won't be back in for numerous levels of frustration and overall lack of satisfaction. I want to be happy spending money on frivolous things. Unfortunately, that doesn't happen at Einstein.

It would be nice if they could do savory bagels in one toas6t and the other in a different one. The last 2x we went my kid tossed his bagel because it was "yuky" and I have to agree the onion/cheese flavor did NOT mix well with his chocolate chip bagel. The smell of onions turns my stomach so the idea of onions/cheese/chocolate combo is nasty.

Supposed to be open at 6 am. Show up at 6:25 and the sign is on but all the lights are off besides the bagel display and the back. Employees then Come out and turn off the sign with 3 cars waiting for them to open. Really frustrating when it’s one of the only places to get decent food at 6 am.

Good food, but the customer service is not good. Specifically the morning manager and a young man that wouldn't give his name. She seems to be unhappy and not willing to acknowledge customers or the delivery service that helps them get the orders to where it needs to be. With the circumstances in these hard times, you would think a manager would show more appreciation and energy towards her job/position.

This is my favorite place… however im from oregon and dont get it. So I went today and they were closed. Online hours arent correct

Came in an hour before close and they didnt want to make what i wanted because they were closing early Update: they recognized us when we came in and apologized and made things right. The only reason i dont rate higher is because staff really dont seem happy to serve an hour before close. The worker preparing our food was visibly upset when we asked for a water cup. She mumbling to herself, shaking her head, barked at her coworker to grab us a cup, then she tossed our food on the counter with looking and slammed things shut before storming off. This place has great food and normally positive people. I hope future customers wont have to experience the nasty attitude of a worker that wants to leave early

So I've ordered from this location dozen or more times. This last time was huge disappointment. No customer service. Never greet. Location not very clean at all. It wasn't as busy as the morning. Bella messed up my order, I went to let her know she was very rude about the mistake. Just put the order on the counter. Staff needs to be taught hospitality.

I really love the sandwich I always get here but this was a terrible experience. I ordered 3 sandwiches and all the bagles were burnt completely black. my turkey bacon avocado sandwich which doesn't come with egg, had egg on it. i called the store to let them know but since I ordered through doordash they can't do anything for me. I already tried to get the items refunded and got $8 back on a $55 order.. thats honestly really scummy of the store to not even do anything at all. I don't think I'll be ordering here again. EDIT: also the owners response on a customer feeling discrimated based on their race in these reviews? that's disgusting

This is due to ordering bagels and they charge a fee because I wanted them toasted? That’s fine but it should be on menu board if you are charging for the service

Watched the manager guy and a coworker constantly reach into the bagel toaster touching each of the front bagels that were already toasted with their hairy forearms, no care and concern that their forearms are not sanitary. His glove was torn and he didn’t even bother to change it out and continued to touch and make people’s food. After I watched this happen multiple times and saw them do it to my food, I lost all my appetite and said something to the front counter lady about it( and the guy himself about being more careful) and asked for a refund. It will be the last time I ever eat there. Which is a shame because we go about once a month.,…we have never seen this happen before. Just grossly negligent!

Worst cup of coffee I’ve ever had and the maple cinnamon toast “bagel” was flavorless and tasted nothing like a bagel and the cream cheese was funky tasting. The service was horrendous at best. I’d like to have taken pictures but we threw it in the trash after just one taste.

Love their food but they need different employees. First off they almost never answer their phone for pickup orders, and then when they do they lied to me over the phone and told me the line was out the door, so they couldn’t do a pickup order, luckily I was right around the corner so I thought I’d just stop in and order it. there was 1 person in there, and it was a door dasher. Within that time there was no way they helped every person going out the door? Not to mention it was 7:30 am. I was furious. Another experience of mine is one of the male employees always acts super slow like he’s on narcotics or somthing. Even the people behind me were getting upset because of how slow he was taking orders. Then he spelt my name wrong on my order so they called out a completely different name so my food was sitting for 15 mins getting cold. I went into my car and cried it triggered somthing for me the way I had to ask him to take my order and then he looked at me crazy. It just is never a good experience in there
