Best Sonic Drive-In in Town! Car Hops are super friendly and the food is always delicious! Folks remember to tip your Car Hops, they make waitress wages.
Good as always, been going here for a long time. Food is always delicious and the service is high quality. Even through the pandemic, this location is a mainstay.
Erika is the best car hop ever! She always has a smile on her face and remembers our family and what we like.

What is not to like about Sonic, awesome happy hour prices. Half price shakes after 8:30 pm, cooked to order, regular burgers, hot dogs and chicken sandwiches and bites. Sometimes junk food is the way!
1st time to this location but it was around dinner time and our order came out very quick and everything was right so no complaints.
I usually pick up breakfast on the days I need to be at work super early. Their service is friendly and the food is fresh. I especially love their iced coffee.

I've gone to this Sonic too many times to count, my preferred Sonic to go to while in Rockwall. Staff is friendly, the tables and parking areas are always clean, great place to hangout with friends or grab a drink at happy hour.
My server was amazing and it was happy hour so the prices were great! I like seeing servers who love what they do and it showed in the server who served us...great! Place!

Placed order thru app...and can I say this group of car hops are AMAZING! Positive attitude, outstanding energy, overly helpful...they make me smile! Also heard the manager interacting with another customer, and he definitely is leading by example. Topnotch location...at least today at this moment.

The food was slow coming out but the food was hot and fresh. I had placed my order online and after parking it took 10 min to get the food after we pulled in.
Food is as you'd expect; however, the car hop this evening was great! It's pouring rain and yet he was in a fantastic mood. Great team members make all the difference!

I wish I could give higher than a 5 star rating. I don’t think the people of Rockwall realize what a gem they have. This is the best Sonic I have ever been to. Super fast service, friendly staff, fresh food that doesn’t look like it was thrown together- I’m impressed! I wish you guys could manage the Sonic locations in Mt. Pleasant. Thank you for holding yourselves to a higher standard. I will be back.
Very busy location at 12:30, lunch. Every car stall was taken. Carhops were working hard and burger came out fast. Food taste good and was hot.
I really like this location. Always great customer service. Like today, drove up 2 minutes before closing and they were okay with it. I even asked if it's too late and they said no, it's okay. I really really appreciate that, all other fast food place are closed at this time.
I had the best experience with one of the carhops. Zoe made sure my order was right and was extremely polite. My order was fast and done correctly.
This Sonic offered very friendly and timely service to one of the car stalls. The staff answered the order call button promptly and took our order for the family of 5 with no errors. Food was delivered quickly and was spot on. The car hop was very nice and the overall experience very enjoyable. We will definitely be going back again.

This location is my favorite Sonic. Carhops are always smiling and seem happy to be there. I love ordering on the app, just pull up and my food is ready to go!
Stopped in for a quick soda. So glad they're finally taking mobile orders. The Coke was very syrupy, just as I like it. I'll definitely visit this location on Horizon again, now that I know I can order ahead. They're always busy too so stuff is fresh.
Great menu screen to see all food selections. Our order was ready quick and correct. Sonic finally made a way to tip when paying with a credit card. Location is easy to find and very clean.
Came on my lunch break today 04/15 around 6:10 pm and the service was really fast! Wasn't even there for 10 mins was able to order, get my food, and go. I didn't get the kid name that helped me but, he had good customer service. It's a nice refresher to see a teenager with manners and customer service.
We have been coming to this particular one since it opened and I love coming back here. The food is always hot and the wait is always short. The carhops are friendly and helpful. The other day we left some of our order behind without realizing, and they were ready for us when we came back two minutes later. My kids love the sundaes and I am in love with the Reese's Sonic Blasts.
Tator tots were nicely seasoned most people will salt French fries but not tator tots nice work

Fast and friendly. Made a mistake on my order, reg tots instead of cheese tots. No biggie. We were still there she apologized and fixed it. But I had to pay another 4 bucks.
Service is great but the food can be worked on. Sometimes it’s a hit, other times it’s a miss. Chicken sandwich taste bland and either has no flavor or too salty, depending on where I take a bite. Eh. Usually here for the drinks anyways.

Good fast food with large menu from burgers to ice cream. Cheese tator tots and even breakfast menu. Always fast drive through or have the Hops bring it to the car. Large selectiin of drinks, slushes, add vanilla or other flavors to drinks. Fun and good.

Fast friendly service, much better than a year ago. Exterminator comes out regularly now since reported to corporate about a dead baby roach found in my chicken sandwich.
I understand working in fast food I work in the restaurant business but once in awhile I come to order here during the night shift and they seem to mess up my order on a simple sonic order blast that we order there we usually just buy the shakes and blast at sonic not much of the burgers but my experiences so far have been disappointing because we get our orders wrong.
I mean what we got was good. One person ordered no tomato on 1 burger and they took all veggies off all items so that was weird
Carhops are fridgid at best. The food is fine but you won't see even a hint of a smile...from anyone...ever! These kids look miserable...
The food is generally pretty good, the only issue we have is they NEVER get the order correct.
This Sonic Drive In is one of the busiest locations I've visited in and out of Texas! The service is prompt and usually friendly but for some reason the food taste a bit unseasoned....bland.... flavorless. Sometimes some chain locations prep and cook the same item differently. Maybe I've always went on a subpar day. I keep trying and going out of convenience but overall, it's a typical Sonic. Clean on the outside, visible to the main street.
Food is always pretty good. Servers are always friendly. The accuracy isn't 100% (so check your order), the prices are kinda high, & the wait is longer than most fast food.
Every time I order tots with cheese, the cheese is not melted. It’s like they just throw a slice of cold cheese on them…. Every time!
It's always different.. im here on regular! Some days food is good and fresh.. some days food cold.. days like today I pay 5$ for cheese tots and barely get any food.. think portion control is wack. PLUS not hot.. barely room temperature 🙄

If the app isn’t working and it is out of the control of the consumer- you should be able to honor the 1/2 price drinks at the store, especially if the consumer asks about why the app isn’t working. Don’t push the consumer to use your app for “1/2 price drinks all day long” if you won’t honor the price even when your app is down.
Great food, no wait times, staff super nice! My only complaint is why is mobile ordering available, but mobile tipping isn't? You can accept my money for food, but not the tip for your underpaid workers? FIX IT
I’ve been going to this sonic for about a month or so for breakfast almost every other morning before I head to school and I have never had any complaints. But today was terrible, I was there getting breakfast for me my mother and my grandmother before school. While we waited for our food a guy brought us the wrong food and then to the next car and then still got the wrong car, he then went back inside the area that they make food, I don’t wanna be to harsh on him because I think he was new but he still was a little disoriented. After waiting for probably 10-15 minutes for our 3 meals we got our food and left, we headed to get a prescription from the Walgreens down the street as I reached into the bag to grab my breakfast burrito and it was not there. After we got the prescription we headed back and got my missing burrito, and then on my way to school I bit into the cold burrito and it wasn’t even the right one, I got someone else’s food, I ordered a bacon and egg burrito and needless to say this was not it. I was already late for school by the time I noticed they messed up our order a second time in 10 minutes and still with no receipt, I was tardy on the day that I had my algebra STAAR test and I took it on an empty stomach. The only reason I’m not giving them a 1 star is because they’re usually pretty good.
Not a fan of a car hop.taking out their tip when they are supposed to give me back correct change. It should never be assumed you get a tip. You sure should never take someone's money without asking. Pay your people more so they don't have to resort to being a thief. This seems to be a common thread at Sonic now days. Your food is expensive enough without adding employees who steal from customers.
First off, I wanted to state that I get a drink (and leave a tip) from this location almost EVERY day! On the weekends, I often get food as well. Well, today, my son asked for a shake. I ordered on the ap and went to sonic. Upon checking in, I really wanted water. Not thinking anything of it, I asked for a cup of water. Imagine my surprise, when the "car hop" told me I had to order it! I asked, "water isn't free?" She said, "no." Wow, I go to restaurants all the time and the water is just part of the experience. I don't think I was ever told that I would have to pay for it. Thanks, Horizon location, I guess I can save that money I used to patron your establishment daily and use it to go to a more friendly (water giving) restaurant!

I ordered my burger with no cheese and low and behold, got cheese on my burger! The lettuce was practically frozen (so much for fresh). However, they did rush to bring me my corrected burger. It's pretty much the only place to eat in the general area...sorry for the people who live around this sonic. Thank goodness I was just passing through.
Oh man.. couldn’t even get my order out before they dismissed me completed my order!! and had to call them back to get the rest of our order!! That was irritating 😠… I get that it was lunch time but still.. slow down before you miss and having the clients do it all over again! All I ordered was drinks too!!! I ordered two and before I could even speak they completed it!! SMH 🤦♀️
I asked for fresh corn dogs. I guess their idea of fresh is to get an old corn dog and re fry it!!!! Don't know why I keep going back to this location.

I just ordered food at sonic! I ordered a hamburger with no onions I got all the way home and there are extra onions on it! He brought me my food and said a hamburger with no onions and handed it to me and I got home and there’s extra onions on it! I had to throw it away!
Placed my order, confirmed my order and price. Waited 15 minutes pushed button to check on order and they didn't know about previous order and was ready to take a new one. I had no choice but to leave. Never got my food.
Ordered dbl meat cheeseburger and BLT. 2 puny corned dogs in bag and no receipt. Extremely poor attention of staff. Called--no decision maker available. CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU DRIVE OFF. I am disgusted with this place. We do not live close to it.
Probably the worst sonic in the world. One girl girl there is always rude. And she’s always there. My order is always wrong and last time she started yelling and talking over me while i was talking trying to make me sound stupid
I got an ultimate breakfast borito for middle of the day, my breakfast it was a joke whole strips of bacon potatoes all on one side and sausage all of it uncut and at one end. Who taught you how to make a borito. And I had to drive 8 miles back because they left out the salsa that went with it the first time before I even took a bite. This borito is horrible

Got the 3 pc chicken strip dinner and 1 chicken strip was the size of a nugget. So basically 2 1\2 pc dinner, told carhop and havent heard back from them. Also gravy was like water!! Very Nasty!!
I placed an order thru the app and when I arrived I put in my stall number (unlucky #13) and waited for over 25 min. I finally had to call on the order board to find out where my order was and the girl told me that I did not put in my stall number. So she sent it right out, I opened it up to find the sandwich soggy. So I will not be going back to this location.
Avoid at all cost unless you like your money stolen from you! Lisette the manager said she would replace my missing items, that I paid for during their busy lunch hour, just to get there for her to say that she is not able to replace my order on what she already agreed to replace.
Absolutely worst experience. Please go to a different sonic. Charged us .50c for sauces when we bought 4 family popcorn chickens and the cups were half full. So for the 3.00$ we spent on sauces we maybe got enough for 3 people. Tots were cold we had to go to Chick fil a to Get more sauce and fries. Never going here again especially because of the rude workers.
Went at 230pm the other day. Ordered a Crispy Chicken with Cheese. ... hot home and the chicken was HARD AS A ROCK! .. I have worked in Fast Food as a MGR for a lot of my life, I can tell you this, that chicken was atleast 1-2 hrs PAST its PULL TIME. When I returned with it I was told to pull up to the DT and she asked me for my bag .. took it .. 5 min later came back to the window, handed me my food .. and shut the window. NO SORRY OR NOTHING!! Can't wait for the new one to open at 30 and GB ....
I ordered 2 meals. Recieved 2 drink and a large bag. She read off the order when it was delivered and everything was right. Ran back to work and looked in the bag to find only one meal inside. Seems like it's always something, cold food, long waits for no appear reason or missing items. Seriously it's YOUR JOB to get it right.
Got to sonic aroubd 1027pm. Ordered my food and then was going to pay. I notice I couldn’t because my ordered wasn’t showing up on the screen. So I waited about 5 mins still nothing so I hit the red button. Ask the young lady that responded why I couldn’t see my order to pay and she responded with my car hopper could help me when she brought my food. Didn’t think anything of it to be honest. After about another 10 mins I was getting a little impatient. Started watching the employees that were there on staff and noticed all of them jacking around and not preparing my order. Finally after 21 mins of no food I hit the red botton and told them to cancel my order. The young lady that answered me didn’t say sorry , it’s on it way nothing just said ok. I noticed as I drove away I was literally the only person there and there was 4 employees working. Not sure why the couldnt prepare my food ...... sad thing is I knew two of the employees because they go to school with my daughter. I won’t be going back to this sonic, that’s fore sure .
So I ordered the chicken tender dinner meal for late lunch and it didn't come with gravy. I politely let them know they forgot the gravy and the guy who answered my speaker said Sonic discontinued gravy at *all* locations 6 months ago. Say what now? I know I've had Sonic multiple times within the last 6 months and this is what I regularly get. So while seating in my car trying to choke down these chicken tenders and toast without any gravy, I called Forney Sonic and why yes they have gravy. So either the guy lied to me or Forney Sonic is the exception. Not coming back to this location.
Terrible service. Ordered Oreo blast, had it returned for a non melted one, came back even more melted. Staff was terrible, which expected in this hicktown.
Horrible place. NEVER gets anything right. The app is always messed up. Blaming it on my phone. Yet I have had three different phones in two years and it did it on my wifes two phones as well. Complaining about it and dozens of items missing in almost every order and they gave me a large drink for my troubles. When I said that was a joke they deleted my sonic app account. Last time I will ever eat at a sonic was last night. They even forgot the onion rings in the chicken strips dinners. And they werent cooked all the way. The twisted burger was just nasty and the tater tots werent done. No one will take any responsibility. The employees dont even eat there. I saw Jimmy Johns bringing them some subs. Forget the customer at sonic you are bottom priority here.
I work in Rockwall so I come here often. The past several times I’ve been and ordered chili cheese tots all that was on them was no joke just a drizzle of chili and a drizzle of cheese. Every. Time. At least half of tots were completely bare. Ridiculous. I won’t be back.
When I got home my entire order was wrong called to let them know whomever answered the phone stated everyone makes mistake , he didn’t have the courtesy to apologize for the mistake terrible customer service but you want a tip but my order is. Wrong , really ! I will not be going back .
I work in Rockwall and love happy hour at sonic. I've been several times to this location (giving it more than one chance) and I never receive SWEET TEA. Not to mention my food has been made several times with mistakes- however, the screen stated my order correctly. The mgr did offer to fix my order but it's hard to do so when ur on a lunch break (reason why I checked the screen to make sure my order was correct.) as of 5-24-17 STILL CANT GET A SIMPLE SWEET TEA ORDER RIGHT
Burger tasted like metal? Not sure why. This is the third time at this sonic. I won't go to this location again. No problem with the other location in Garland or mesquite.
The lady manager that worked yesterday afternoon is mega rude and difficult (idk if shes the only one). We asked for a remake of the sonic blast oreo but she was being difficult from the start when i had asked nicely plus i said id give the other one back which we hadnt eaten b/c it seemed wrong so i wasnt trying to get free food. I dont ever write reviews but she really rubbed me the wrong way.
Usually, everything is mostly correct, but not this time. I ordered 3 Foot-Long Coney Hot Dogs for the kids. All 3 with just meat and bread only. When I got them, I told the waiter that the food didn't seem hot, just feeling the bag. He replied that he saw them heat it up. Anyhow, we got home, and one hot dog had relish, another had onions. None were even slightly warm. I started to call and ask to speak to the manager, but they were probably doing their best and what would be the point?
Pressed red button and edited for 10mins. Could see that several cars were able to order whilst we have an activated screen that says active. Wasn't able to order anything for 20mins. We needed up leaving location.
Ordered five drinks tonight for the family - paid extra for all the flavor additions yet none were added to the drinks…. The Coke Zero has a chemical taste - something really funky. Disappointing to say the least and money thrown in the garbage. Will not return to this location.
We went to your store on Horizon and when the guy came Out to give us our drinks he made a snarky comment about the .55 cent tip that I had left On the app. I had cash in my hand to give him, I just wanted to round up the amount to be an even number when I placed the order. I called to tell the manager, and spoke with a woman named Bernie whose response to the bad customer service was okay soooooo did you have a problem with your drink? I didn't feel safe drinking the drink or giving it to my daughter so I threw everything in the trash. What a horrible le way to treat your customers. I don't know why anyone would eat there to be treated like crap.
I ordered a breakfast burrito they brought me the wrong one so I told them what I wanted and the girl argued with me and said that's not what you are talking about the ultimate burrito I let her know know I wanted the supersonic burrito with bacon instead of sausage and she said that's ultimate burrito no that's not what I want well that's what they brought me the ultimate burrito with bacon sausage and egg and cheese the supersonic burrito that I wanted has onion tomato jalapenos tater tots bacon egg and cheese so another lady came out and I told her what I wanted and she understood when they brought the burrito they wanted me to pay extra for the bacon even though they screwed up twice will the third burrito they brought me was the right burrito but it barely had any ingredients it's like they didn't care barely put anything in there they put a tiny bit of onion and jalapeno and tomato I will never go to this Sonic again you've lost a customer and I'll be sure and tell everybody about this everyone I know
I ordered a supersonic breakfast burrito with bacon and sit at sausage and they brought me out a burrito with bacon egg and cheese a supersonic breakfast burrito has tater tots onion tomato jalapenos cheese and egg so I let them know I wanted a supersonic burrito with bacon instead of sausage and the girl argued with me and said that's an ultimate burrito I said no and told her what I wanted they brought out another burrito that was the ultimate burrito another burrito which was the ultimate burrito I told her I wanted the super Sonic so they bring out the supersonic burrito and won't to charge me for the difference I thought why don't you comp that it's ridiculous they screwed up twice so Sonic must have some stupid guidelines of what to do with customers that are dissatisfied
See I always go to this sonic picking up my kids from daycare just to get them a corn dog. But today…disgusted me. I received my order and was about to hand out the food but realized its was at least 3-4 strands of blonde hair wrapped all over their corn dogs (remind you my hair is red). I pushed the button and asked for a manager and all they did was take the bag and threw it away. Never asked if I wanted an option of a refund and wasn’t concerned about my kids almost eating somebody hair. Didn’t even want to be sympathetic and make anything better, all they did was remade it and sent it back out. At that point I didn’t want to have anything to do with the food smfh. But trust me this sonic at this location has lost a customer. And another note: these workers NEED HAIR NETS🤬🤬
Horrible experience! Manager was very disrespectful when I was trying to order my food. The manager refused to give me her name but she was a Hispanic female between her 20 and 30’s. I tried to place an order and the machine wasn’t working (I guess) when she came outside she was very rude and disrespectful. M

GO to sonic on horizon road!!!! When ordering here I was rushed. Had to push the red button twice to tell them they didn’t get whole order. Get home and was missing items. Had to come back and get missing items and team member said “what would you like me to do about that, I’m already giving them for free”. It’s not free if I PAID DOE SERVICES I DIDNT RECEIVE”.
The App I use all of the time is not working. I just tried to order tea at the Happy Hour price. I explained the App was having issues and I had tried logging out and back in and restarting my phone. The lady very rudely was not helpful and refused to give me the App price even though I had my phone which showed it said, “Error. We are experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later.” Very disappointed in the service.
