San Diego Restaurants Review

From the highway it appears to be a staple within the San Clemente area. The food was excellent, Jonny was awesome! Cons: booths are a bit outdated, parking was an issue, but everything else was great.

Overall, this is one of the worse Denny’s I’ve been to. Although this location is iconic due to its prominent location right off the freeway, the food and service failed to meet my expectations (which weren’t high to begin with for a Denny’s). My pancakes came with a nice garnish of caramelized onion that clearly fell off of someone else’s dish. Service was slow.

Ordered an omelet and a pancake combo, and both things came out quickly. Plenty of parking was available. Credit cards accepted. The server who helped us was nice but asked some questions around my ethnicity, which was a bit off-putting, but I guess sometimes you deal with weird stuff the later it gets at night. Overall, a convenient stop for driving down to SD from LA.

The food was amazing the cooks know what they are doing. The service in the other hand is not the best. Our server had a very bad attitude and it was not just to us. We did not get napkins or utensils. They are also a location that does not accept phone coupons even though they whole place has signs making you get the app. Makes no sense.

We moved tables 3 times. 1st table had ants 2nd table had another bug and 3rd table had a baby cockroach so we ended up at the counter. I couldn't eat it was horrible. Server with a red streak in her hair was super rude to her costumers and me and my fiancé. She was just throwing the plates on the table and got our order wrong then when we told her she said she will fix it but was just laughing and messing around with her manager for 15 minutes while we were waiting. Then proceeded to come back with the wrong order again. The other server female with long curly hair that was in there was super cool and was very nice and friendly.

Had a really negative experience today. I came in and asked if they would substitute the meat on a slam to fruit as we are fully vegetarian. I’ve eaten here several times and they have always done so. Today the manager said we don’t substitute. Won’t be back. Treat your vegetarian customers better. It’s a lifestyle choice.

I knew it was gonna be bad going into it, but I didn’t realize how bad it could be. The only reason my wife and I went was because we were starving and had to get to the airport with little time to spare. My French slam was utterly tasteless. The French toast was bland, empty in the rich and savory tastes that usually are in French toast. The eggs were OK, nothing special. The bacon was a complete joke; burnt and paper, thin. The sausage was just fat and spices. I really regret going here. My stomach hurt for two days afterwards.
