Opiniones de Taqueria El Buen Sabor San Francisco
We were looking for a nice, light salad, and this place won our hearts and stomachs. Perfectly balanced flavors, not overly dressed, and the chicken and lamb were well cooked. The juicy potatoes were also delicious. 17$/salad and 5$/side. Very good!
I haven’t tried any of their food items yet, so this review is just about their frozen Greek yogurt, but it’s amazing. I especially love the one with honey. There’s something about the sweet, cold honey paired with the tangy, tart yogurt that just works perfectly. The texture is incredibly smooth, making each bite a delight. It’s the perfect little dessert after a heavy meal, the tartness cuts through the richness and helps wake me up from a food coma. Definitely a go-to spot if you’re looking for a refreshing, satisfying treat.
Souvla is one of my two favorite spots for lunch in the Mission. It has great Greek food as sandwich or salad. Actually my favorites are the avgolemeno soup, that unique Greek invention of chicken soup with lemon. And then for dessert frozen Greek yogurt with olive oil and salt! The sweet and salt tanginess is perfect
Delicious food and friendly service! We tried the chicken, lamb, and vegetable wrap which was all so good! Limited seating area (it's popular so there was a ~10 min wait time) but so worth it! Greek fries were delicious too, I want to come again to try the frozen Greek yogurt next time!
Love their frozen yogurt, not too sweet, has the original notes of sour yogurt, and has a slight bite. Chicken salad is great, a little little pricey
Saw this place on our way to dandelion and I'd remembered hearing about their food, so walked in. Was a little crowded at around 7:30PM on a Saturday, but we were able to find "bar" seating (they don't have a bar, but these bar stools next to the wall). You order at the front and then find seating, by the way. Got the chicken sandwich, and the frozen Greek yogurt with baklava crumbles. The chicken sandwich was very good! They fill it with meat, and the whole combo of meat and veggies and sauces tasted yum. The yogurt was just okay though - I didn't think particularly highly of the baklava crumbles, even though they give you a lot in your cup. Food comes out quick. Folks working there are friendly. Good stuff overall.
We got both the pork wrap and the veggie wrap. Both were very good, but surprisingly we both enjoyed the veggie wrap more. The flavors were more complex and tasted more Greek. It’s not a very authentic Greek experience, but it’s still very enjoyable. The yogurt is also delicious & sour.
really good souvlaki, big chunks of meat and great toppings, pickled onions were perfect!
Yummy quick Greek spot in the city. Order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. Perfect for a lunch or easy dinner. So fresh and healthy
Visited SF for a weekend and came here twice! That’s how much I love this place. During my first visit, I ordered just the baklava crumbles fro-yo. Simply amazing. The Greek yogurt fro-yo wasn’t too sweet and paired well with the massive amount of baklava I got! I ordered the sour cherry one during my second visit and would try combining the two during my inevitable next visit. For lunch, I ordered the chicken salad Greek style (fries on top) and it was very filling! I asked for dressing on the side and didn’t think the salad needed much. The fries also didn’t seem too unhealthy lol? This is my ideal salad; I’d take this over sweetgreen any day. Thank goodness I don’t live around here because it would be incredibly dangerous for my wallet.
Super friendly and attentive service. Answered a million questions and flexible with menu items. Delicious salads, the roasted sweet potato with walnut is my favorite but if like lamb, go for that one! The soup can be a bit salty. The frozen yogurt is a petfect dessert! Atmosphere is upscale for order at the counter spot. Clean and pleasant. Will go back!
Lamb Sandwich, great lamb meat yogurt, cucumber and ralish giro style sandwich worth the try. Bear the oil that comes with it, it made my pants a mess. Veggie Salad bowl, olives, kale, lettuce, nuts, greek yogurt and sweet potato make this salad a great choice for a kinda healthy option. Blue Mak Greek beer, refreshing pale ale beer good to combine with the dishes.
I was looking for a place to eat and it was getting late like around 8 o’clock on a weekday so we went to go to get Thai food, but they rejected us. They told us we can only take the food to go and we never have time to eat so we were very upset, but we walked down and found Souvla! Knowing they were closing in 40 minutes, they were still very nice and welcoming. They allow us to sit down and just notified us that they were going to close soon. We honestly don’t take long to eat maybe 15 minutes or so and we just needed some time to eat so I would really appreciate the fact that they gave us a time that atmosphere was great. The customer service was five out of five I will definitely recommend coming back. The restaurant is a little pricey, but it’s definitely a different type of flavor and you get to enjoy the american-Mediterranean culture. If you’re a fan of Greek ice cream, you would love the desserts!
My wife and I have been regularly eating here for ~10 years. We absolutely love it and is our “go-to” spot whenever we don’t want to cook and want something consistently satisfying. We also enjoy treating ourselves to their yogurt with baklava.
We were hungry, and smell was delicious. Didn’t regret stopping by and having a fish burrito. It was delicious. Saw people complaining about food being bland. Strongly disagree with them. (But maybe if you eat high sodium diet then it’s not for you.) P.s. Don’t expect fancy ‘seat and eat’.
Down on 18th with Koz Kozinski and his Gypsie girl Posiria, and decided to snag some tacos. Koz wanted to eat at some other place on this block, but we slugged him into submission, and we settled on Taqueria El Buen Sabor! This Taqueria is way underrated, it's perhaps in the top 5 Taquerias in SF! Posiria and I went in and had the most Amazing tacos, and the Koz walked up the street and had hotdogs from the hotdog cart on the corner. Taqueria El Buen Sabor is 5 stars all day long. ☆☆☆☆☆
Ordered the Crispy Taco, Special Taco, and Suiza Quesadilla. The Crispy Taco is great for crispy taco shell lovers. The Special Taco with carne asada was a decent size and portion, a generous layer of greens and cheese on top. The Suiza Quesadilla with carnitas is more than enough for one person, it’s a sizeable amount and loaded with delicious cheese and other toppings. This location is really busy during the dinner rush and you will often see the lines running out the door. There are some tables and chairs indoors but not enough to accommodate everyone in line. Fortunately, there’s a mix of “here” and “to-go” orders so the number of available seats remains enough.

Been going there for years great food great prices and the burritos are really good stop by and try it!
Best carne asada tacos I've had in the city so far! Soooo flavorful and delicious. This place is just a walk-up/hole-in-the-wallish style taqueria but the line is always super long and the food is …

Wonderful Greek yogurt! I love their olive oil flavor however this baklava one didn’t hit the spot for me. The baklava topping was very soft and too mushy for my taste I was hoping for something crispier.
Two of us came for lunch. The service was fast and we got outside seating right away. While the menus is classic the execution is more fusion than Greek. We got the grilled chicken sandwich. The wrap came with a little bit of vegetable and even an orange but the chicken was cut so fine and dressed so heavily it was more like a chicken salad sandwich than a classic Greek dish. It was tasty just not what I was expecting. The fries were fine. Portions are good but it’s an Al a cart menu so order your sides accordingly. This is a order at the counter style service. Makes for a good fast lunch.
Delicious food, friendly staff. Chicken sandwich and salad were fresh and tasty. Keep the sandwich in it's wrap, it is juicy. No fault of the restaurant. I ended up wearing some home! Nice flavor and sauce. Very light. I tried a cola drink. Real cane sugar but very small size. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Great for a casual lunch or a meeting with friends! Not too loud and feels welcoming inside. Order at the counter and get a number. That's the 4 vs 5 star difference.
Affordable and tasty, fast casual Greek cuisine. Choose a wrap or a salad and your choice of protein. Very excited about the new black bean, plant-based lamb substitute. It’s not traditional, but it’s definitely delicious. The texture is perfect and when dressed with yogurt, pickled onions, and more, it definitely holds its own against the lamb, pork, or chicken. The kale salad is also excellent. Fries are standard fare, have had better at Ayola downtown.
We got an Al pastor wet burrito which they very kindly split in half. The burrito was bland and didn’t have a lot of flavor. After dousing it with their sausage, we still found it to need more flavoring. The atmosphere was chaos as there were kids running amuck everywhere and we couldn’t hear each other speak!!
Friendly staff, number of vegetarian/vegan options, though bland. 🟢💵 Good value, $11 for the veg California burrito that came with a small portion of tortilla chips. Doesn't look like a lot, but it's more than enough after eating the burrito. 🟢🪑 They have a good amount of seating, ~20 people. Stopped by ~7:30 pm after seeing they offer vegetarian options and they had better ratings than another taqueria. The line was out the door, ~8 people. The person behind me was a regular and shared it's worth the wait, and the ordering machine isn't faster than standing in line. Waited 10~15 min, ordered a veg California burrito since it had tofu. I was surprised the veggies are cooked to order. Gave my server my bean choice, paid, then went to the bathroom since the veggies were still cooking. After coming out, my burrito was ready. 🟢🥦 Vegetables were cooked perfectly done. Still crunchy. 🟡⬜ 🟢🤵♂️There are so few pieces of tofu, after the first few bites, I thought they were accidentally forgotten. The cashier kindly have me a small cup of tofu, told me there's very little in the burrito. I had to eat 50% to see my first cube of tofu 😂 🟡🌯 Everything was overall bland. The tofu and made to order veggies I can forgive. But the beans and rice were also underseasoned 😶 The spicy green salsa helps. The red was also bland.
Stumbled upon this place while walking and we’re curious about the line. The restaurant is decent in size and feels communal. You can order via the self-ordering machine (Revi) or in front. We chose the self-ordering machine because the line was long, but they did not prep it until I asked for our order. The lines move fast though. We ordered lengua super burrito, fish tacos, and carne asada super taco. The portions are huuuuuuge. Their mexican rice is very tasty, can definitely taste the tomato in there. The food’s really good and worth every penny. We spent about $28 in total for all these. I think it’s clean as you go, so make sure to clean up after yourself. The sauces are in the fridge for people to get and return after eating.

Great burritos. It's made one by one so there's a bit of a wait, but the food was excellent. Drove in and was able to score a parking spot across the street. Don't forget to feed the meter!

It was good! Flavors are very fresh. But somehow feels like something I could make at home. That’s the reason for the three stars. I did really appreciate the ambience. It’s rare to find a counter-serve fast-casual restaurant that doesn’t feel like it’s designed to get you in and out. Here I felt like I could sit down and stay a while. Candles at each table are a nice touch.
As expected, it’s very mid and the average SF resident has never had a truly great burrito in their lives. Their version of Al pastor seems to be exclusively seasoned with salt. And all for $17!
Memorable corner of my youth. Always been a taqueria someone or other chooses over the ones that I preferred. Ten years later, this corner is convenient and it is one of those days that “here & now” is more important than “there & better”. Ordered a Chile Relleno burrito. The staff is prepping for the busy day ahead, it is only about 11am, carbe asada is being chopped, stews are all full to the brim, I get excited wanting to try everything eventually - maybe even today. But the burrito is a sad burrito, none of the components have flavor, and no amount of, frankly, pretty mild salsa, can fix the lack of oomph in the rice, beans, guac and chile itself. Still a beautiful corner still beautiful murals, hard working and lovely staff, but a regrettable burrito.
I haven't been to the Mission in years and that area has changed so much and many of the frequent eateries I used to frequent are no longer. However, the one thing you can count on in the Mission is …
I got the shrimp burrito, which was alright. The bean ratio was off. Service was fast and price was not bad, but there are definitely better spots in the city

Walked in only person there - bunch of workers stood for five minutes waiting for acknowledgement but none was given guess they prefer DoorDash to in person customers
Came to try this modern take on Greek food, but we left disappointed. The salads were overwhelmed with raw kale, the oranges tasted past their prime, and the chicken was stale and flavorless. Overall, the food felt old and underwhelming. For the price, it doesn’t live up to the hype. On top of that, being prompted for a 20% tip for counter service didn’t sit right. We won’t be returning.
Astonishingly bad burritos… We ordered a carnitas and a green chicken burrito, both with everything except rice. Somehow they were 80% just beans and cheese. Multiple consecutive bites of pure mush with barely any meat. Genuinely disappointing and not what you want from a burrito at all…probably the worst burritos we’ve ever had.
