In-N-Out will always be my absolute favorite hamburger place. Sure, other places have good burgers, but you just can't beat a relatively uncomplicated and inexpensive burger with the freshest ingredients. I always get a cheeseburger and Animal Fries and I am NEVER disappointed with my choices. The employees and atmosphere are always vibrant and laid-back, and this particular location has PLENTY of parking if you'd rather skip the drive thru line and go inside. Plus they have fun merch in store and on their website!

The young girl that took our order was sooo sweet and amazing. We came to grab food after a concert and it was insanely busy. I'm sure she was dealing with a lot of hungry folks but was so awesome and had great convo when it was our turn to order. Gotta have more amazing people like her. This was in San Jose at a very very busy in n out after a concert on a Wednesday! Our order was perfect.

Great value for the price. The burger patties were meaty, juicy, and tender—everything you’d hope for in a classic fast-food burger. Ordering it Animal Style is definitely a game changer. The extra sauce, grilled onions, and pickles take it from a regular burger to something much more flavorful and satisfying. Without it, the burger feels pretty standard. This location is always busy and tends to get packed, which speaks to its popularity—but it does come with a downside. Cleanliness could be improved—every time I’ve visited, the tables, seating areas and the door were noticeably dirty. Still, for what you pay, you get a solid burger with big flavors—just be prepared for crowds and possibly a wait for a table.

I had a brilliant experience at this In-N-Out! The place was buzzing with efficiency—there were 17 people on shift, maybe more, I counted ha-ha, and they moved like a well-oiled machine. My order came out super fast. I especially loved the protein-style burger—fresh, tasty, and exactly what I was craving. Great service and classic In-N-Out quality!

Stopped by the In-N-Out off Newhall (across street from PayPal Stadium) in San Jose, and wow—the line for both the drive-thru and inside was long. We’re talking out the door and wrapped around. But to our surprise, it moved way faster than expected! Once inside, tables were turning over quickly—folks were eating and making room for the next person. It honestly felt like a well-oiled machine. I took a quick video of the controlled chaos, and it was impressive to see how many employees they had, each focused on their task. The kitchen was running like clockwork—our food came out fast, and the order was spot on. Major props to the team here for keeping things moving with great energy. It was packed, but it never felt frustrating. Solid job!

My menu recommendations: Animal style fries with a Flying Dutchman on grilled onion. Mix them together and ask for a couple extra spread packets! Or, Animal style fries, and a double double animal style This location is always pretty busy, but there are definitely peak times, and then times you’re not waiting as long. I prefer parking and going in, versus the drive-thru. The food is good, but I find my animal style fries are consistently not hot by the time I get them. I blame this on the peak times when they are packed; the food just sits out a tiny bit longer. During peak times it’s nice to go with someone so they can scope out a table while you grab the food from the counter.

So tell me, are In-N-Out purposely located off the freeways? If it is, that's genuine move! Burgers are better doubled. Fries could use a lil more seasoning and just a tad less fries. Love the idea of fresh cut potatoes but can but improved. At this location the ratio of syrup/carbonated water was off. Need to balance that off. The neapolitan shakes are the best thing on the menu. There is a secret menu that should be more advertised in the restaurant. Always service is courteous with a great smile. Very inviting. Plenty of seats and tables but tends to fill up.

I always have to stop by and eat at In-N-Out when I’m in the West Coast. Something about not having one in the East Coast makes me want one all the time. I got the protein and animal style double-double with chopped peppers, animal style fries (well done), and a black and white milkshake. The total was around $16 which is a steal. The fries were bad like always and even when it was well done, it just sucks, but the burgers always hits especially with the peppers. Not sure why the fries are always mid when you can see them chop it and fry it in the back. The service is always great and the line moves very quickly. It does take some time for your food to come out though. Plenty of seats inside and outside; enjoyed eating it outside.

When I come to California, I feel like my experience isn't complete without going to In-N-Out at least once. It's not the best thing I've ever had, and the burger isn't super stand out...but man do I feel nostalgia in a way you can only get from a place like this. Everything is still fresh and gives me what I want at a cheap price, and the workers are top notch with customer service.

Very busy restaurant. Friendly staff. Ordered at counter and there was quite a wait for the food. Food tasted very good except for the fries which were kind of soggy. They have an outdoor seating area. If you’re a flight spotter you will like it here as it is right next to San Jose airport and airplanes take of and land right next to the restaurant.

As a Canadian, I was ecstatic to try In-N-Out. However, the food was below par… the burger and sauce were flavourless while the fries were soggy McDonald fries. Honestly, I would rate it a 2/10, I was unable to finish due to taste. Unfortunately I will not come back :( However, I loved the service!!! They were very friendly and gave us the hat since I had mentioned it being our first time here :)

It's affordable so that's why it's always packed. It's way cheaper than your McDonald's or Burger King but my fod came out extremely cold. My fries were cold and hard. My Burgers were ok. The paties were cold too. After waiting for 45 minutes for our food we expected everything to be cooked and hot. It's not really worth the hype. I truly believe the line is long because it's literally 4 bucks for a burger and 3 bucks for a shake. It's definitely not in and out lol. It took forever to our food.

Dear In-N-Out Customer Service Team, I wanted to share some feedback regarding an unfortunate experience I had during my recent visit to your Newhall location . I’ve been a loyal customer of In-N-Out for many years, and I’ve always appreciated the great service and consistency your team provides, which is why this visit was so disappointing. When I pulled up to the first window, I was warmly greeted by Chao-Chi, who was very kind and professional. I politely asked if it was still possible to have my fries cooked well done, and mentioned that if it was too late to make that change, that would be perfectly fine. At that time, there were two cars ahead of me, so I paid and waited my turn. When I reached the second window, I was greeted by Maddy, who appeared visibly irritated. She handed me my drinks and asked if I wanted ketchup. I said yes, along with banana peppers and two boxes. Her demeanor seemed annoyed, and she only handed me two banana peppers. She then turned to a coworker (a young man with glasses) and said, “It’s taking long because she barely ordered well-done fries.” I replied by asking if she’d prefer that I pull up and park so they could continue serving other guests. She smiled and said “no,” then handed me my bag. When I again asked for two boxes, her tone shifted further; she grabbed one box, then called out “Brown!” for another. I completely understand that things can get busy and delays can happen, but courtesy and professionalism should always be consistent. Customers wait patiently in line for quality food and friendly service, both of which are part of what makes In-N-Out special. Unfortunately, this experience fell short of that standard. I hope this feedback is helpful and can be addressed with the team to ensure future guests have the positive experience In-N-Out is known for. Thank you for your time and attention.
