First time going to the location in new Braunfels and it was very convenient. We went for my husbands birthday and we’re sat right away. Our server was great and patient with everything that we ordered. 💕
This place was hopping. Wait staff were busy. The steak and shrimp were excellent. The potato soup was great.will be back again..
Just passing through town, picked up an order to go at this restaurant. The food was packaged great, no complaints, picked up an appetizer and a burger. The manager on shift, Marcus was an absolutely lovely human, he went out of his way to make sure that everything on my order was perfect, he was super friendly and a pleasure to speak with. The bartenders tending this evening were wonderful, everybody had a smile on their face and was great to deal with.
Many of the staff came from the San Marcos location which we frequent quite often. Got invited to check out the new location and I think they got it right. Food is phenomenal and have never had bad service-not even once. Only 2 minor complaints are they have yet to put the chicken tortilla soup on the menu, and the bar area could have stood to be designed slightly larger but these are very small personal preferences. Absolutely check the place out- won't be disappointed.
Food was great as usual! Riley our server was super sweet, attentive, and overall pleasant. He was an awesome server! We will be back!
FANTASTIC Mother's Day Lunch here in New Braunfels with Anna as our server. Wonderful decor. PROMPT service. ABSOLUTELY the best meal EVER. Pat's Rib Eye steaks #1!! You truly get what you pay for.
2nd time going to a saltgrass. First time wasn't memorable but this time it was. Sirloin was very tasty and cooked perfectly. The fried jalapenos were good as well
The food was top tier amazing so were the drinks, Alonzo gave us flawless customer service! I will be asking for him the next time I come around and the patio has such great atmosphere!
I live in the area and watched as the restaurant was being built. I finally made it in and everything was great. I arrived around 4:30 PM and had no wait at all. Riley assisted me and he was amazing. During the meal, Marcus, one of the managers, also stopped to ask how everything was going. Great service. Great food. Great Pineapple margarita.
The food and service was amazing 5 out of 5 Will definitely be coming back. Our Server Ana was amazing she went above and beyond with her customer service.
Alonzo was great! Attentive and friendly. Made our mom & daughter date even better ☺️
We did not have any reservations and the party of five got sat pretty fast. I asked the bartender to make me a good margarita. The mango margarita was amazing. We were seated, and Elizabeth was our server and she was great from the beginning to the end and constantly checked on us to make sure everything was good. The food was amazing. Everyone who had a dish enjoyed it and finished everything on the plates. Definitely recommend
The grilled chicken salad was delicious- my mom and I both love the crispy outside, it was juicy. I am so scared to eat out because of allergies- gluten free is still really difficult to get. I tend not to even try to eat out but my parents and I were already out. Very impressed by the options. My dad's steak was thinner than he prefers, I think perhaps for the rare? (Idk, for my mom and I it was great). Only thing is our table was close to the end of the bar that opens with the server terminal(s) and employees mingled talking at times blocking the walk way with talking overpowering our table discussions.
Our experience at Saltgrass Steak House was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The cocktails were absolutely delicious—perfectly crafted and refreshing. The food was cooked to perfection, with every bite bursting with flavor. A special shout-out to our waitress, Mary Jane—she was phenomenal! Her friendly attitude, attention to detail, and excellent recommendations made our dining experience even better. She truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We will definitely be returning to Saltgrass Steak House for another incredible meal. Highly recommend!
Overall, good food and service. Steak was prepared to my liking.
It was our first time eating here, and it was great. Drinks at the bar, and dinner. I'll be back
I had the ribs and they were amazing—fall-off-the-bone tender and full of flavor. They came with fries and a Caesar salad, both of which were really good. The atmosphere was great too. You can sit inside or outside, and the outdoor area even has a little section with cornhole games, which made it extra fun. Definitely a nice spot for a relaxed meal.
It's always great steak, shrimp, and country fried steaks!! The ambience is not my cup of tea but the food is made with precision. The wait Staff could use more training but the turnover in Staff tells me that won't be happening. Whoever is in charge needs to get the Wait Staff better trained, and give them support so they don't want to quit so fast. It comes from the top.
Great bone in ribeye. The baked sweet potatoe was huge and baked perfectly. Added a wedge salad with delicious dressing. The carrot cake for desert was an outstanding finish to this great meal!
Went to the new location here in New Braunfels for our anniversary today, and had a wonderful experience ! Our waiter Cory was the most fantastic waiter we have ever had at a Saltgrass location, and completed a total awesome dinner. Food came out hot and perfectly cooked and with excellent taste. We will be back here for sure.
Luisa is AWESOME!!!!!! The food was great (as usual) but Luisa is the type of server that makes you choose a restaurant just because of her!
We went there for Christmas dinner. It was very busy but we had made reservations and walked in and were immediately seated. Food was great, drinks were great. It was actually enjoyable because they didn't have the music blaring loud where people had to yell over it like at Roadhouse.
My wife and I had our first time eating here on our trip up from North Carolina. My wife had the 12oz sirloin medium ( perfectly cooked) and flash fried green beans with a mango margarita and she absolutely loved her meal. I opted for the ribs and shrimp with smoked Mac and cheese with a potato soup to start and man was it good. Our waiter did a great job and the staff stayed busy helping their tables. Absolutely glad we stopped and there was plenty of parking.
Michael was our server tonight ,gave A++ service .He had perfect balance of keeping us topped off on beverages ,but not where he was a bother or interruption to our conversation,or pushy when waiting to take order etc.The other young ladies ,host and servers accross the board on shift tonight a Sunday 7pm-8pm we’re all great! Food was cooked exactly as requested ,portions were perfect amount ,over all so stoked for this to be here in NB,Tx!
It was busy when we went but our server Micah and the manager John were absolutely amazing. We recently found out our daughter has some intolerances/ allergies and they ensured to double check and took the time to understand and made us feel comfortable and welcome. I really really appreciate them.
I’m giving the restaurant a 5 despite a couple hiccups. They have just opened after all. Our server Trinity was fabulous, I loved my meal even though it wasn’t super warm, but my boyfriend‘s ribeye wasn’t even warm enough to melt the butter. They need to update the description of the Range Rattlers. They are fried, but the menu doesn’t mention that. Two managers checked on us during our meal and when we mentioned the steak issue to our server, we were comped a free dessert because we didn’t want to send it back. We will definitely give it another try!
My Fiancé and I had a wonderful lunch today. The service, food, and atmosphere was excellent! We highly recommend the sirloin steak or the Ribs & Shrimp. Jordan was a great server and I recommend the Pumpkin Cheesecake for dessert.
Alonso was definitely the best hands down. Chicken Fried steak was amazing. Grilled shrimp with Brussels sprouts was phenomenal. Thank you Alonso for being the BEST.
Jose & Marcus need a bonus and or raise. Always hardworking, great attitude, and phenomenal customer service. They are the reason we keep coming back!
Went around 3:30 pm on a Saturday. Orion was our server and he was so chill, he took care of all of our needs, we had full glasses the entire time. He went above and beyond. The manager was also very interactive and kind. The food was all delicious. Very pleasant experience. We will definitely be back.
The food was through the roof, our waitress Ana had the best customer service I’ve ever seen!!! The restaurant is so cozy and cute. New favorite spot will be coming back!!
Such a pleasant experience eating here with my family. The manager and the waiter Jacobo, were extremely kind and friendly. The food was also very delicious. Will definitely be back to this specific location given the extremely pleasant experience!
Alyssa is the BEST! THANKS FOR BEING AN AMAZING SERVER! You made our anniversary very special and we wish you all the best in life!
Went there for a thanksgiving lunch, the waiter Louis was fantastic, service was prompt and good. The food from appetizer to main course was phenomenal. Can't recommend this location more.
It's a great place for a steak meal. Food is great and service is fantastic. The pictures and posters on the wall are very interesting. In several of the saltiness restaurants their is a mural of a chuckwagon with a cowboy and Lady Bird Johnson wearing sunglasses. I looked around the restaurant and didn't find the mural. I asked the manager on duty if they had it. He also looked but alas, not there. I hope they can get one. I like asking the young servers if they know who Lady Bird Johnson is or was, and sadly they don't. So I explain about LBJ and the ranch and Johnson city.
Fantastic service and food. The only complaint we had was the kids macaroni. It was just a bowl of plain kraft mac n cheese and our kids didn’t even touch it. Not what we wanted to see from a nice steakhouse. But our waiter corrected our meal and made sure we left happy and satisfied and we’ll definitely be back!
Dinner date in a cozy, Texas-nostalgic, legit steakhouse for under $150 with ZERO complaints. The bartender (forget his name) told me he'd been there from opening and enjoyed it and it shows in his work, great cocktails. Bravo to the staff, highly recommend. If you're exiting north 35 take the previous exit unless you're a fan of Fast/Furious. Didn't get any pictures by if someone you know is a classic country fan, this is the birthday joint. Very cool decor. Even better food & service.
It’s been open since October, but still doesn’t have their signature baked sweet potato. Huh? They might have it by the end of February. Otherwise it was a good dinner. Happy hour, so a Tito’s tea, and then chicken fried chicken. It was all very good. Service great, a great place e to go. It, of course, costs more than the other steak house up 35, but the food is 100% better.
First, our server Jordyn was excellent, well trained and very informative! The managers were on their game and greeted everyone. Food was excellent, beer was cold, salad was perfectly chilled, steak was well seasoned and cooked. The chicken was perfect. The soup could have been hotter but still delicious. Really nice large bar and nice outside seating with adult game space! Welcome to New Braunfels! We will be back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here at the saltgrass steakhouse. The weight was a little bit long, but I believe that’s just because they’re still a newer opened restaurant here in town. The pineapple margarita is great. Steak and shrimp are definitely hitting the spot. And the salmon was on point
My husband and I went for an early Valentine’s day dinner. The server was very attentive. We did have issues with our food, but it was quickly corrected. The food tasted great.
My wife and I just got back to New Braunfels after two years and we decided to try Saltgrass steakhouse. We were greeted by a sweetie named Faith M and she was adorable. We got seated and were immediately greeted by our server Jordyn who was an absolute Gem. Jordyn was sweet and patient and very helpful with our ordering since it was our first time. My wife got a steak bite appetizer that was really good while my brother got a delicious looking prime rib that he was totally satisfied with. I got the rack of ribs and I can honestly tell you that they were the best ribs I've ever gotten in a restaurant and every bite was like a culinary Christmas gift to my mouth 😋. Honestly the ribs were perfect. The manager John came by the table to check on us and we all thanked him for our server Jordyn and the awesome food. It was a great experience and I hope that we get to go back there before we leave town. If you haven't been there you should check them out. The people are warm and friendly and the food is perfection. We'll see you again soon Jordyn. Take Care and Happy Eating, Rick W
In the 2 times I've eaten here, i was greeted warmly by the servers/ wait staff. The food has been good, I haven't come across any issues. The peach sweet tea and fried mushrooms have been my favorite. Steaks were cooked the way I asked them too. Ceasar salad tasted good and the veggies are fresh. And most importantly, I appreciate the integrity of the staff - i left my card after paying and I didnt realize it until the day after. I called to check if it was still there and lo and behold it was; they asked my name over the phone, and showed my ID in person and the manager, Kevin, handed it to me. I checked my account and no other suspicious charges made. Will definitely come back again for the food & wonderful service.
Many kudos to Saltgrass for the way Christmas Day reservations for lunch/early dinner were handled. We were skeptical that we would have a good experience that day, because we knew it would surely be a difficult day for you. It was absolutely perfect! Our reservation was for 1:30; we arrived at 1:15 and were immediately seated in a booth just as we had requested on the reservation. Our server Mary (Jane) was friendly, efficient, fun, and calm, never revealing the slightest bit of stress with the busyness going on around us. We will ask for Mary on our next Saltgrass visit. Again, thanks to all for making our Christmas Day experience exceed expectations. You turned what could have been a frustrating experience into a very enjoyable Christmas dinner with our friends. Thank you!
We had the best experience with the assistant manager by the name of Marcus. I've never seen a manager help out everywhere. In the kitchen on the floor etc. Most of all, he was so nice to us. He wished my husband a happy birthday, came by the table several times to see if we needed anything and thanked us for dining there. We've n
Our family is so grateful for the caring staff. My mother fell outside after leaving the restaurant on Sunday. We have some very scary moments, to say the least. The manager and staff immediately called 911, stayed outside to support us in whatever way we needed, and assured us that they would be praying for us and to please keep in touch with them. Thankfully, my mom is on the road to recovery. Very blessed to have been in the company of such kind folks! Thanks again from our family to yours......
Service was excellent, our waiter kept our drinks full. The steaks were cooked to our orders and the quest dip and chips is one of our favorite appetizers. We had a 5 pm reservation and they deleted it because the expectation was for us to begin arriving at 4:30. Fortunately we were seated quickly at 5 pm. They filled up quickly after 5 on a Saturday, so reservations are reccomended.
I’ve been going to Saltgrass and other Landry’s restaurants for a long time, and they’ve consistently been some of the best dining experiences around. The new Saltgrass in New Braunfels is a little smaller than what I’m used to, but once you’re inside, it actually feels a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. So far, the service has been excellent and the food has been exactly what I expect from Saltgrass—spot on. Over the years, I’ve shifted my taste from steak to salmon, and occasionally chicken, depending on how heavy I want to feel after a meal. They do all of it well. I wasn’t sure this location would work for Saltgrass, but it seems to have a steady flow of guests, and the pricing is on par with the quality—though like many people, it can still feel a bit overpriced. That said, Landry’s has always stood behind their brand, and I’ve never had an issue getting something made right if anything was ever off. At this point, it’s as much a brand decision for me as it is a restaurant choice.
Thankful for this place being open on Thanksgiving! My husband got his Thanksgiving meal and I ate salmon... Both happy and no one had to cook or clean up! Food was wonderful and our server did a great job even with big crowds coming and going. We took a piece of their seasonal pumpkin cheesecake to go and WOW, I should of gotten two!
Delicious food, little pricey but definitely worth it. Waitress was attentive the times we went. Also believe it was the manager walking around the whole time making sure the place was clean & even getting people refills. Love to see service people that don’t seem miserable to be at work! :)
We love this restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious, service amazing, atmosphere is great, the service is the best ever. We go there once a week. There is no another place for steak like this. They know us already and they treat us absolutely fantastic. Thank you for being so kind professional and helpful
Hands down the best filet mignon I've had in a while. The garlic butter sauce on the steak was so good and it was cooked her perfection. My son's however wasn't, and it wasn't brought out until after I had finished eating, which made me feel bad to eat while he's sitting there waiting for his for 15 minutes. They didn't even offer a compensation of some sort so that's why the four stars instead of five on the service.
I have had the pleasure of dining at various Saltgrass Steak House restaurants in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas. The Saltgrass Steak House in New Braunfels TX is definitely one of the best. Our server, Ana was fantastic! She was very attentive and anticipated our needs. All the dishes that we ordered were delicious and cooked to perfection. If you are in the San Antonio or New Braunfels area, I highly recommend putting the Saltgrass Steak House in New Braunfels on your must visit list.
Alonso was our server, and he was excellent!! The food and drinks were exceptional! We had the Jalapeno Shrimp for an appetizer (6) and they did not disappoint. My wife had the steak tips with mashed potatoes and gravy which was fantastic, and I had the New York strip with a loaded baked potato and a salad. Strip was cooked perfectly! Potato was excellent, and the salad was fresh, cold, and crisp! Drinks were definitely on point, we had Old Fashioned cocktails which were excellent and Alonso provided amazing service throughout the meal!!! Swing by Saltgrass and enjoy the excellence that this location provides, I know we will be back for the next date night!! Cheers yall!
I was there today, killing time around 1pm. No wait. The place was clean and loved the decorations. I ordered the Cajun steak ,broccoli double steamed ,fried onions bacon wrapped quail and a lucky penny for my drink. Steak was cooked just like i ordered. The shrimp on top of it was the best seasoned grilled shrimp I've ever had. Broccoli was perfect. Fried onions were ok. Quail was amazing! I took the bacon off cuz Im not a huge fan of bacon unless its by itself. The Brussels sprouts the quail came with were delicious. Im not a Brussels sprouts eater but so glad the waitress recommended it! She came around at just the right times to check on me. Im a light weight on booze so I only drank half because I was buzzing by then. However it was really good.
I went through drive thru late tonight andy experience was great! This review is about a worker named Isreal, he was very polite and friendly and he asked about my night and made alittle conversation which was great. Now thats great customer service! 5stars for Isreal and 5 stars for the great food! Thankyou.
We came in for breakfast this morning and the service was fantastic. Mayra took our order and she was so sweet and kind. Everyone who worked FOH was amazing. Great food and great service!
Nice and clean. Staff always friendly helpful courteous. Asked young man to wipe my table and do so immediately and with a smile. The #1 combo always my favorite. Comparable prices. I'll be back.
The service was great The food was good and wait time was quick. We all got burgers meal deals. I love the roasted texas toast. The meal deals are great plenty of variety to choose from.2 of our meals were missing items or extra added. But besides that and we took off items that were on the burger and still ate them & still amazing. Most of all I spent @ $12 on each burger meal & came with the drinks large and fries & onion rings. The atmosphere is great everything you need and everything out convenient. Overall my visit was quick my food was great and the price total was great as well. The staff was friendly. Thank you whataburger.
I called in an order for 30 people to arrive at the restaurant by 4:45. I must say, the staff was great and the food was hot and on time. Thank you, Emma, for helping me set this up.
Mr. manager job well done, a lot of people like to review their single visit, but I’ve been coming here for a couple years and I want to tell you what, there are a few restaurant-stores that have many longevity employees like you have. It’s really nice going to a place that all the employees are very experienced in their job. You must be doing something right. Be sure to show this to your regional manager the next time he comes in. There’s a lot to be said for employees who stay as long as they do at your establishment congratulations.
Lady running the front desk really is doing her best. I ran uber from there two days in a row and she was slammed but still took the time to get me set up and out the door quickly.
Whataburger is one of my main favorite places to eat and has been since my teen years. While gone traveling in my 20 years of military service, I always looked forward to coming home to Texas and eating Whataburger again. There was at least one occasion where I ate it every day of my two week trip home. I just love the taste of the grilled buns, mustard and onions on their fresh beef patties. Lately my go to burger is a double meat, sliced jalapeños, add ketchup and no tomatoes and sometimes one slice of cheese. Delicious and hits my protein goal at 47 grams of protein.
Service was very great! Very attentive and speedy!!! B

Food is always hot employees very friendly store appearance with construction going on is very clean. Restrooms are clean clean inside is very nice and Services always really fast.
Food was delicious but the only glitch was 4 out of 5 orders weren't correct. It was mainly the sides but even though they corrected it quickly it just wasn't quite the same as eating all you food at once. We were there for a graduation celebration and just wanted all to be perfect. All in all, good place to eat.
Great food, but a bit pricey. Their flashed fried green beans are the best green beans you're going to get anywhere in town. They serve bread before the meal, it comes with a sweet butter; if you ask, they'll provide regular butter as well. Make sure to save room for dessert! Their carrot cake, cheesecake, and chocolate cake are phenomenal. As of January 2025, they're only open for dinner, but our waiter told us they'd be opening for lunch as well within the next few months.
My filet was cooked perfectly and it was a tender cut of meat (as a filet should be). Salad was good. The queso was delicious. Fried asparagus was also yummy. Server was friendly. All in all a nice experience. A bit more expensive than Longhorn or Outback, but the quality of the meat and the correct preparation of the meat make it worth the extra spend. I was very surprised at how crowded it was on a Friday at 5:30 But they do take reservations, so be sure to take advantage of that.
First time there and was a good experience. Waiter was good explained everything about the menu. Had prime rib and was just right.
We came in with a party of seven very close to closing time. We were seated promptly, drinks were refilled, bread on the table and our food was good! Our server was extremely sweet!
You have to be there in person to order a to-go order. You can’t call or do it online. I live 15min away so thought by the time I order and arrive it’ll be almost ready. Nope I have show face, order & wait there. Not sure why they opened if they arnt ready to fully serve. Oh but they have a to go parking space! :) maybe for the future idk
The first I went to have lunch, it was an awful experience. From the food to the server, I was really upset about my experience. The following Monday, I called to speak to a manager- I spoke with John. I explained everything to him, he apologized profusely, told me what the standard was at the salt grass steak house and that he would ensure the standard was exceeded if I wanted to give them another try. He offered to replace my entire meal. Several weeks later (this passed Friday), I stopped in and asked for him. Super friendly and attentive, he did exactly what he said he would. My server, Jessica, was equally as attentive & friendly. My meal was great, I left with a much better impression of SGSH-New Braunfels. Thank you John & Jessica for your great service, I appreciate all of your help!
Great location, food and friendly staff. My steak was cooked to perfection and melts in my mouth without effort. The restaurant is huge and gives a very comfortable vibe. If I would to say one thing, it would be a little better presentation of the food as I believe that eyes eat before mouth :) Will definitely return for more delicious items I’ve seen in the menu but of course can’t eat them all in one visit.
Went to Saltgrass with a group on a Monday evening. This location is relatively new. The restaurant was very busy. We were seated quickly and the waiter, Alonso, quickly took our drink order while we studied the menu. I ordered the sirloin, cooked medium, with baked potato and grilled shrimp. The drinks were brought to us along with a small loaf of bread. My salad came next and it was the standard dinner salad. The ingredients were fresh and crispy. After a short wait our meals came. Presentation was nice. I noticed as soon as I cut the steak it was a little past medium with no pink and as such was a little chewy. The shrimp also was cooked a little to long making it chewy. The steak was a nice cut of meat just a little over cooked. The potato was done just right and served loaded with all the usual trimmings. I did not bring the issue of overcooked food to the managers attention for several reasons. First I was with a group and didn't want to appear to be that person. Second it was not that much overcooked and I did not want to wait while it was done again. Lastly I gave them a break because it was a new restaurant and very busy. Alonso was a very good waiter and quite attentive even with the crowd. I will go again and see how the food changed after everyone settles into the routine. I may not be as forgiving next time.
First time we ate here. I order the Pat's ribeye with a Caesar salad, baked potato and a glass of water to drink. Wife ordered the bacon wrapped filet mignon with baked Mac and cheese and a Shiner Bock to drink. We tried that bread roll as well. Wife's filet mignon was small in size and she was a little disappointed in the portion of "bacon" used on it. My ribeye was cooked just right and the baked potato was on point.
Went on Nov 22nd to the new location in New Braunfels, was dinner time and waiting time was for 30min but we were surprised that it took less than that. We asked for a table accessible for a wheelchair and they gave us a table half booth and with chairs (which was perfect to fict the wheelchair) The ambience of the restaurant was good and our server was friendly and courteous. Our appetizers and food was delivered on time and hot. Steak was juicy and tender, mushrooms were crispy and juicy.
With the new “remodel” the inside now looks like you’re eating in a jailhouse cafeteria. Pretty much took the soul out of the dine in experience. No longer any booths just a bunch of cheap chairs. Floor is now an ugly gray that easily stains. Lights are now super white like a hotel restroom. Whoever approved this remodel messed up bad.
Whataburger is a classic if you’re traveling through Texas. I had the Bacon Jalapeño Blaze burger and my wife had the single patty whataburger with fries. The table side service was a nice touch as they delivered the spicy katchup and napkins. Food was as expected, the atmosphere was clean and organized. The service was better than I had anticipated.
Regular customer, a Whataburger w/o 'maters, onion rings, and a drink. Some good food while taking a work break.

Food was pretty good but to be frank, this place is an expensive Applebee's. All of the food pictured below was around 85 dollars before any sort of gratuity. Place was packed on a Sunday evening so the locals must like it. Staff was nice enough but not an overall good value. Feels like a corporate place that charges accordingly.
The Brisket Queso and Salads were great along with the service. The presentation was excellent. The meats were so so. I had the T-Bone and really just not a good quality of meat. It was quiet chewy. My wife's burger was tough. More like a tough chopped steak. Hey, maybe that is how they do it. The sides were excellent, but Saltgrass is never really my go to spot for a steak. I will come back I am sure, but I just as likely may end up at Longhorn, Outback, or Texas Roadhouse.
The iced tea is always amazing and the food is always quite tasty; but, please hire some people who move faster than sloths.
Update 6 months later. Still no response. Here or the online address that they suggested. I would love to give this restaurant 5 stars, but unfortunately, I can't. Our party of four had several issues during our visit. Two of the meals were incorrect and did not match what was ordered, leaving a significant portion of the food uneaten. By the time we addressed the issue, it was too late to make any meaningful adjustments. The waitress apologized but only offered to send the sides to go, which wasn’t helpful, as we weren’t going to eat broccoli or onions hours later at home. We had to ask another staff member to speak to a manager, as the waitress did not take any initiative. When the manager arrived, she repeatedly asked if there was anything else she could bring us, despite our stating that we were finished and didn’t want dessert. I requested that they remove the items we didn’t receive and offer a small discount for the incomplete meal. Unfortunately, the manager left and returned with the check, which had not been adjusted. Upon reviewing the bill after leaving, we noticed that none of the missing items had been removed, and the only change was a complimentary soda. This experience left us feeling disappointed and dissatisfied, which affected how we enjoyed the meal. This was our first visit to a Saltgrass restaurant, and unfortunately, it did not meet the expectations we had. We felt misled and unappreciated as customers. Update - I also did what they said and went to the website. Haven't heard a single thing.
Y'all messed up my to-go order. I ordered the brisket burger and y'all forgot the BRISKET!!!! When asking the prices that y'all do, it comes with the expectation that someone is there making sure the order is absolutely correct. Thoroughly disappointed by this.
Sorry but that was a poor excuse for a chiclet fried steak. The batter was good but way too much of it and the steak was very dry. My French fries had been setting under the warmer way to long. The fried mushrooms were very good. Our waitress was not good left us sitting there waiting on the check for over 15 minutes even though she already cleared the plates and brought the to go box.
We were super excited about trying here and finally got a chance. Unfortunately it wasn’t a good experience. We got seated and drinks from the manager right away then waited a good 15 mins before our waiter came. We ordered an appetizer that never came, when Our food arrived. Steaks were overcooked and mashed potatoes were cold. Overall not worth the hype. Mac and cheese was the best thing by far!
Took my husband here for his birthday along with our son and his girlfriend. Started off with a beer my husband ordered, it was horrible. Tasted old. Another one was brought to us and that one as well had a horrible taste. Ended up with tequila and pineapple. My husband’s ribs were pretty much burnt, my steak was delicious ( only thing besides the bread and salad that was good ) my shrimp and our sons shrimp was overcooked/rubbery They brought more shrimp out for our son, I didn’t care to ask for more for me. We were already extremely disappointed. Even though it wasn’t the managers fault that the beer was bad, ribs burnt to an extent and shrimp was awful. Doubt that we would be going back.
Why this lady gonna say I always call to remake my order and I'm like no ma'am I called and tell yall that yall got it wrong, I don't go back to pick up or ask for a remake. I live to far to be going back and forth..
The self checkout was out of "tents" and it wouldn't let me complete my order without a tent number. There was no staff available in the dining room or checkout counter and my order timed out while the line grew at the chateau counter. The burger has iceberg lettuce, pale tomato, no sauce but mustard, and a seasonless beef patty with seasonless fries. The dining room has hard metal chairs with an aesthetic that feels like I'm in a low income high School cafeteria. I literally have no idea why I would want to come back to this place.
I love whataburger but dang, I went there last night and they gave me a shake that was WAY too sour to consume. Like I felt sick afterwards. Food is decent yk whatever but I don’t recommend shakes atleast from this whataburger.
Awful service (cashier frowned when she heard my foreign-sounding name), cold fries, tasteless Whatacatch. Loud people. The ketchup exploded on me when I opened it, not a fan of the ketchup containers. The only redeeming thing is that it’s clean and new I guess
Everytime I come in to eat, I select "dine-in" on the kiosk when I'm ordering. Yet, they always bring my food out to min a sealed up paper bag. They never bring the condiment tray out either that they are supposed to bring for dine-in customers. I'm literally looking at another customer with a tray at their table. Like, why can your staff not follow simple instructions. Every time? It seems so small, but it's annoying as a customer that my order is not being followed as it was placed. Stop putting Dine-In orders in to-go bags!!!
The only thing right was my order. Cashier in the drive thru got everything I asked for. It's on the receipt. The only problem, my order was completely wrong. Not one item was correct. I'm giving 2 stars because of the cashier. Thank you for doing your job correctly, sir.
Overall, it was great, but I forgot my gravy with my tenders. I need my gravy, and it also took forever in line. The workers are probably messing everything up. Do better.

I feel sick. The burger was flatten and the sauces were dripping out a lot, especially mustard. The fries were soggy but that didn't bother me. What's bothering me is I feel like throwing up and I …
waited 20 minutes at 5:45 AM to get a honey butter chicken biscuit. After about 20 to 25 minutes of waiting. I finally got my order. Sit down to eat it and my biscuit is as hard as a rock.. woke …
Ice cream machine is down, and I get that it needs to be clean and I respect that. But get rid of your freaking barriers so I don't have to wait in line for Somthing I can't have.

We had to re-order twice and they stilll couldn't get it correct. Then they told us we were wrong and said we had to go in to speak with their manager. The disrespect!
I’m a Landry’s member and always liked saltgrass. We were happy to see that there is one by the hotel we were staying in. But this branch falls short of my expectations. After taking our drinks n appetizers order, I had to ask if the server would like to take my membership info. One of my friends’ order came out lacking the usual toppings, etc. she also was charged extra for a side that should’ve come with the dish (didn’t notice until we were home). And when we asked for togo boxes, we were not given plastic bags. My friend asked if she could have one and the server came back with just 1 bag (3 other couples needed one too). We had to ask again if we can have bags. My friend whose order was messed up wanted to just cancel her order (since it took a bit of time before they acknowledged the mistake and she was already nibbling on her hubby’s dish) but the manager offered to box it up for her. We expected a free dessert or something to compensate for the trouble but there was nothing. I was very excited to bring my friends as it’s their first time but we ended up disappointed. I was expecting the same service we get at a nearby saltgrass we frequent where we reside. Fried mushrooms, baked potato soup and beer bread didn’t disappoint though.
Check your receipt. Each meal is $1-2 higher than the menu price. Either update your system or reprint your menus. Not a good look. Management is aware, but still has not been corrected. Food was good and well prepared. The restaurant is uncomfortably small, seating and passage ways are very small. UPDATE 03MAR25 - 3x and last time was tonight. Overcharged for brisket nachos. Each time it has been a different menu item. Inexcusable to allow this to continue. Last time for everything. Adios SG
The atmosphere and hostesses were probably the best part of our daddy daughter date. We decided to try a new restaurant this time. And unfortunately won't be back. Once we were sat down it took us a while to get a waiter. Neither my daughter or I were a fan of the bread. We both ordered steaks and couldn't finish them. The taste was unique. Not sure how to explain it.
I have been here twice and I am not impressed at all. The first time I ate there and the service was slow when they weren't busy. The portion sizes were smaller than other Saltgrass restaurants I have been to. The waiter wasnt attentive. He didnt refill our drinks nor check on us often. The second time I went here was to buy a gift card for Black Friday. I received an email from landrys about their 2 x $10 bonus gift cards for every $50 worth purchased. The email clearly states the deal is good for online and at the restaurant. I showed it to them and they still wouldnt honor it. I wanted a physical card instead of a print out. I will probably go to the San Marcos location from now on.
So gross! My husband ordered a steak and loaded baked potato tonight for dinner. When he took a bite of his potato, there was a hard green substance within the bite. He immediately spit it out, not knowing what it was. When the manager came over, he said “those things are in the potato sacks when they come in” and that was his only explanation. Definitely wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking to get fresh food for your money.
Came in last night without a reservation and was seated within 15 minutes. Everything else was downhill from there. Server took awhile to stop by our table to take our order. Soup & salad took about 20 minutes to come out. Soup was lukewarm. Another 30 minutes for the meal. Prime rib was also lukewarm. Main dining area was pretty loud also. Could hardly hear the server. Will not be going back.
Downloaded and ordered ahead through the app so I could get my food faster. all it did was take longer. Waited 20 mins just to get cold food and a melted shake. It was lovely watching the lines behind me empty out n all leave while I was stuck waiting. Just don’t tell me my food ain’t ready then give me cold food. Normally it’s average service at this location but this time was just frustrating. Id recommend not using the app and you’ll get decent service
Got the short bus out front. Got Joel Hill in here barefoot and so many kids yelling. Rude woman worker behind counter who was unhelpful and rude. Waited over an hour for food and it wasn’t even fresh. He looked my gf in the eyes and said there was ketchup and straws in the bag but there weren’t. Horrible disgusting behavior.
They took forever with my coffee. I asked for half/half and Splenda they gave me French vanilla and sweet and low. Kinda seems like they did it on purpose. They need to learn how to ready and fill a cup of coffee in less than 15 mins. Smh. How hard can that be to get a simple coffee order correct. I had to do another stop to get the basic essentials I paid for. I use to go everyday great andfast service, clarity on the orders. Who ever works there now needs to find a more easier job since a simple coffee order is way to complicated.
They did away with the booths and put in furniture that is very uncomfortable to sit on if you have back, hip, or kneee issues. I used to love eating at Whata Burger but I won’t be back until they bring back the booths.
Horrible Whatsburger. Waited over 30 minutes to get my food. I had ordered a shake as well. After waiting another 10 minutes I asked where my shake was and was told they shake machine is down. Why wasn't I told when I ordered or when my food was brought out. Crappy customer service
I went inside to order 2 chicken sandwiches and waited for 20 min. The cashier told me they were grilling the chicken fresh. 10 min later someone else told me they lost the ticket completly. I didnt have time to wait another 20 so I got my refund. Im done with whataburger and a whole never coming back again
One of my favorite places to eat great food ,but the people they have working there are some of the rudest people. Having side conversations about customers in front of other customers with cus words is not okay neither is giving customers attitude. It’s supposed to be family friendly environment well there was nothing friendly about my experience with my children present
Manager Zendya was rude and yelling in the back where we were able to hear her because we asked for a refund that took us 30 minutes to get food. We asked politely to seek the status of the food and were ignored as everyone else was getting attended. We could hear manager yell in the back saying “how do they want a refund without a receipt “ despite us showing them our transaction on our apple pay. Eddy as well was being rude to us when we were trying to explain the situation nicely. Super unprofessional and service was horrible.
I usually don't give it a 1 star. I always give it a 5 star, but this one time I went was after lunch shower. There was hardly any cars. The rush was over. So there was no excuse for their mistake. I ordered 2 number 4's. The jalapeno whataburger with cheese, they gave me bacon. Instead of jalapenos! wow!!!, How can they make that mistake? I did not check my order until I got home. Huge mistake, Huge! I called and reported the mistake. They wanted me to go back. I said no! So they would redo my order at a later time. I agree 2 weeks past. I went for my order to be redone and came home. To my surprise, my order was done. But. They only put 4 jalapenos on each burger! Who does that! Is it because it was a redone?!

San Marcos Whataburger: Sweet & Spicy Service, Even Sweeter Burgers
You know Whataburger. It’s practically a Texas institution, and our San Marcos spot is no exception. But lately, I’ve been hearing a buzz that goes beyond just the familiar orange-and-white stripes, suggesting this particular location is truly hitting it out of the park. What truly sets this Whataburger apart, according to recent visitors, is the stellar service. Take Isreal, for instance. One late-night drive-thru customer raved about his politeness and friendly conversation, making a quick s
