Opiniones de The Crow's Nest Beach Market Santa Cruz
Crowded in the evening but nicely located on Santa cruise beach. Beautiful scene of ocean with boats floating in the serene atmosphere. We enjoyed Fish and chips, crab cake loaded with cream, cheese was too tasty, pacific rim chicken, Ravioli was super tasty. Cabernet sauvignon wine enhanced the enjoyment of the evening. Due to the weekend rush service was slowed.
It had been years since I had been to the Crow's Nest. We chose the location for the ambiance/views rather than the food, but the food blew us away. I got the prime rib. I hate smoked food so I almost didn't get it because it was described on the menu as smoked. I asked our (amazing) waitress, Karla about it and she told me that it doesn't actually taste smoky. She was right. It didn't taste smoked. It tasted perfect. I got the smaller cut and it was still huge. I shared it with two dining companions and still had two meals from it. I am not exaggerating when I say that it was the best prime rib I have ever had. Better than house of Prime Rib in San Francisco. Better than Lawrey's. Just... the perfect cut, seasoned and cooked perfectly. We sat outside. It was cold and windy outside, but the walls kept the wind out and the heat lamps were very effective in keeping us warm. My friends got the Ahi salad and the lamb chops, both of which they loved. They did need to ask for extra salad dressing, but that may be because they loved it so much. I'm going back to Santa Cruz in a week and am very seriously considering going back for take out so I can eat it again!
We had the best, most amazing food experience at Crow’s Nest in Santa Cruz! Michaela was the BEST 10/10!!!!
We love this place. We prefer to sit upstairs and get the best view from a window seat. I think I’ve tried most everything on the menu and it’s all great. The house made chips are fantastic so be sure to get them. The smoked salmon is very tasty as well as the Ahi salad. Surprisingly they make a terrific burger. Of course there is always fish and chips and a bowl of chowder. Be sure to stop by. It’s a bit pricey but worth it .
First time here. Very nice place. Good food, good views, good service. Close to the harbor and beach. Our table had a great view of the lighthouse! Staff said upstairs was bar and grill area (better for adults). Indoor and outdoor seating. Bathrooms are a bit tight but clean. They give a free coupon for soft serve at the beach market next door to our kid with his kids menu. Parking was $2 for our time there. We would come again if we are passing by for another coastal road trip!
Great spot on the ocean with outdoor seating upstairs or downstairs overlooking paddleboarders and boats on the water. Two different restaurants, but great food options either place. Hot fresh food, fast service, friendly staff, ample parking for a small fee. I had the fish and clam chowder and he had the French dip. Both yummy! And the pink lemonade was bomb!
This place is fantastic wonderful view fantastic food. customer service. Leila and the guy downstairs that looks like Keanu Reeves at the bar are fantastic people. It’s kind of vibes, food and drinks that you need on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The calamari is great. The 4 stars is o my due to time to complete task during a not so busy day. Otherwise. The actual staff regardless if they’re helping you, are professional and chill. They can switch task to fit the need of the customer. Brilliant
A superb restaurant with lovely views of the harbor and lighthouse. Lily was my server and she did a terrific job. Very accommodating when I asked for surf n turf when it wasn't on the menu. Hats off to the chefs, the steak was phenomenal, highly recommend it. Prices are very reasonable for the location, ambience is just perfect, a great place to stop for dinner or lunch when you're in town. Be aware you do have to pay for parking though.

We came tonight for New Year's Eve. We enjoy coming here for the salad bar.its fully stocked and endless. They have spinach, mixed greens, tomatoes, onions, broccoli, hearts of palm, cheese, crouto…
The service was simply fabulous, nice people work there. I had the seafood fettuccine and it was delicious I'll definitely come here again
I've been coming here for years and it never disappoints. It's worth the short wait times to sit out on the patio to see the ocean. Even in the winter the patio is nice and warm under the heaters…
Still fab food and service but menu on Trip Advisor is quite old. Prices skyrocketed and added surcharge “service charge” salad bar now $23, $calamari higher and less on your plate for a while now.…
Good good, good service. Everything came out reasonably fast and tasted great. Most items were fairly priced. Staffs were friendly and accommodating.
The view and service were great. We went upstairs to avoid the wait and were seated immediately on a Saturday lunch hour. The drinks were strong and the food was pretty good. We got the crab cakes and smoked salmon as well as their chowder. All were fairly good but not outstanding. Prices were high, but I think that is the case everywhere to keep up with cost of doing business. Oh, also be ready to pay a few bucks if you want to park close the restaurant (in the gated parking lot).
Fun place right on the water with spectacular views! The service was excellent, the shrimp tacos and French fries were both very good, but the French Dip/au jus was so salty it was almost inedible. They were a bit busy so didn’t trouble trying something else, but definitely wouldn’t come back to that. I notice the table next to us ordered it too and barely touched it.
This restaurant’s biggest draw is undeniably its location. Overlooking the water, it offers sweeping views of boats gliding in and out—a perfect backdrop for a sunset dinner or a relaxing afternoon. The setting is picturesque and hard to beat, making it a great spot for soaking in the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food doesn’t live up to the scenery. While the menu looks promising, the execution falls flat: dishes are uninspired, lacking the freshness and creativity you’d expect at this price point. The drinks, though enjoyable, come with a steep price tag that feels more tied to the view than the quality. On a positive note, the service is attentive and friendly. My waitress on the outer deck was quick to accommodate requests and make me feel welcome, which does elevate the overall experience. If you’re visiting, come for the views and the ambiance—but temper your expectations when it comes to the food. It’s a beautiful spot for a drink, but a bit disappointing if you’re hoping for a memorable meal.
The location is excellent, right by the harbor—though be aware that parking is not free. We didn’t have a reservation but were fortunate to get a window seat. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They offered free dessert for birthday. However, the food was just average. The pork ribs we ordered were lukewarm, and the center piece was slightly cold, which was disappointing.
Most everything was great, but my baked potato was dry and old. The outside was tough and leathery. We had the special banana chocolate bread pudding. The outside was dry and hard. They added a bunch of whip cream. Just not the best for the price we paid. The prime rib was good. I recommend the shrimp artichoke it was a good appetizer. The crab cakes were good but rather pricey for 2 cakes.
Probably the best Salmon Burger I've ever had in my life. Either I was incredibly hungry, or it was just a great sandwich. Either way, I enjoyed it and the service was great too. The rest of our party had the pastas. A bit on the oily and salty side but none the less still tasty pastas. I didn't try the salad bar they offer, but I'll get that next time we visit. Located right on the harbor, with a beautiful view of the gorgeous beach and ocean.

I ate here over 20 years ago for an anniversary. The food was wonderful as I recall. I ordered the butternut squash ravioli and it was okay. The sauce was average. My buddy ordered the prime rib and he said it was also okay, not the best not the worst. The service was good, although our server forgot our bread rolls. But no big deal. The atmosphere is always nice especially if you're sitting next to a window overlooking the ocean. For the price, I would rather go to Chart House in Monterey. I've eaten there two to three times a year for the past 30 something years and don't ever recall a non-exceptional meal. Flavors are always over the top.
Noting experience as a single diner mid-40 female. I came in for happy hour and knew in advance what I wanted to order. I did sit in a window seat in the upstairs bar but felt I would be quick, getting an appetizer and drink. While it would have been quick, I waited 35 minutes for the bill to be dropped off/picked up and paid out. I saw other servers using a hand devise and doing this instantly.. I was made to wait to pay so I could leave. I was also not offered info on drink specials that I asked about and was not given options to upgrade my drink as others were around me. The only tip I got from my waiter was that the app I ordered, crab cocktail, was not 1/2 off which I was aware of as I came in for that dish. It’s unfortunate. Maybe I should have sat at the bar and not taken a window seat but I was planning to be there 30 minutes, was slow when I arrived at 3, and ended up sitting waiting to pay for 35 minutes of my 1 hour long time there. It felt purposeful but I don’t know what happened.. everyone else seemed to be in and out with better service from the other servers. Maybe mine was having a hard night, if so get someone to help instead of making the single person sit for 35 minutes while you help the new groups coming in. Hoping for better times ahead.
The food is good but pricy And they messed up our order a few times and the hostess with volume big lashes (I don’t know her name ) that checked us in was not nice at all, Sometimes I wonder why these girls are in hospitality positions. Anyways If you’re ready for a long wait to get a cold meal to be on the beach then I’d say go for it .
Expensive but mediocre food. Nice view . Bland clam chowder and weirdly seasoned lobster ravioli. Nice atmosphere. Adequate service.

Been going for years when I want the best calamari. Can't recommend anything else on the menu. The food is subpar except for the calamari. Kind of sad.
Unfortunately they took the Greek Penne Pasta off their menu. I personally do not like seafood, but my husband does. This place was perfect...he could get his salmon, I get my pasta. I ended up ordering their cheese and chili enchilada with rice and beans. It was terrible. Almost couldn't eat it. My husband ordered their calamari, it was so greasy and chewy. The salmon was good, but that was about it. Won't be back for sure.
The atmosphere and service were great. I had the Dabs which were cooked to perfection. My brother had a shrimp and crab sandwich which was very good. I would have rated it higher but I was shocked when I got the bill for two beers (one each) we had before being seated. With an average tip it was $45! I will not go back just for that one fact.
The service is friendly but seriously lacking . We were seated and got our coffee and ice water with no ice or silverware etc. Had to ask for a spoon for my sugar for coffee \nFood delivered an…

We had a party of 3 teenage girls, walked in with great expectations. Our waiter was very dismissive and did not check on us once before bringing us boxes after we were sitting there not eating for close to 15 minutes. I understand being busy, but she made sure to check multiple times on other tables in our area, and gave us multiple weird glances. Our bill was over $100 which was no issue, except one of our plates was missing something but we never had the change to tell our waiter because she never even looked in our direction. We were very respectful and got absolutely zero respect in return. Very poor service on the waiters part, the restaurant is lovely.
We opted to dine here instead of our usual Shadowbrook destination and it was a Huge mistake! Had a 6:30 reservation and was seated immediately. My daughter ordered the ONLY chicken dish on the menu and was told they were out of chicken at 6:30. We all ordered the salad bar at $13.00 a piece on top of our dinner cost. There were no croutons left and salad dressing was at a minimum. Our steak had no flavor at all although cooked properly and our baked potato had SO many sour cream chunks we spit it out! We mentioned it to our server and was offered mashed potatoes which we declined. Such a disappointment celebrating our birthdays and traveling from out of town. We should have stuck with Shadowbrook from the beginning. Never again. They also added a service charge and we had to pay for parking they do not validate!
Server was rude, made us feel as if we were inconveniencing her. Service was incredibly slow, even though the entire restaurant was 85% empty. On top of that, server charged us automatic group gratuity, even though on the menu we were 2 people under that size. Icing on the cake was we ordered three items to go, When I called, was told by the manager she'd call back: two follow up calls later, they still kept ghosting me. Eventually I got their accountants number (apparently only she could authorize the refund: total BS), left two voicemails and no reply. Avoid this scam of a restaurant at all costs, unless you want to be overcharged, then ignored.
