Fast and literally hot out the oil. Ice cream made to perfection. No photos because it didn't last long. I mean if I'm going to eat unhealthy who said I couldn't have it fresh🫶🏽

They actually make really good burgers! I was surprised. I always pass over this place when deciding on lunch but I went in one day and it was very good! The burgers have great flavor. Their fries are very thin and delicious as well. Will be a part of my regular rotation from now on

This place is a Retro, circa 1950's hamburger joint. I absolutely love the style and decor. The food was good, the service was friendly, and the quality high. The fries sauce was delicious and I even tried and liked the spicy version. The dessert treats looked scrumptious although I didn't have time to try them this round. I was visiting Waco when we ate there, and I was stoked to learn they are building one in my home town (Tyler). I'm sure my wife is gonna like them as well.

Their beef can be rated among the top burger shops in town. Their mouth watering patty melts are to die for! (And I've never been a fan of patty melts before.) Also they made a mistake with my last order and went above and beyond to make it right. This place is fantastic right down to the employees. Super friendly and warm, they're always on the ball.

I love that they have the option of lettuce wrapped burgers. The burgers are always tasty and never dried out. The lettuce wrapped option as a kids meal and adding tomato has been another contribution towards my weight loss journey as I make changes one day at a time. Let's face it, sometimes we just don't have the time to cook and we are exhausted. Thank you for having other options that don't make us feel so miserable about our choices in life!

First time to visit and impressed. Burger and fries were great. What put it over the top was even the cashier saw our puppy at my driver window she made us a "pup cup"at no charge, frozen custard in a lid with tiny milk bones

Fantastic customer service and great food. My parents were visiting from Colorado and wanted to take a picture of the whole family. Sarah came over and offered to take our picture all together. She came by to pickup trash and asked if we were ready for our desserts on hold. Very friendly. Excellent Customer Service!!!

My only disappointment is that the mushrooms used on the chop house burger are for a limited time. I wish I could get those tasty morsels in my head hole year around! 😫 I love the friendly staff and wonderful crispy edges on the burger. Keep up the good work, Freddy's!

We went in with our kiddos , and we always love their food it never fails us. The manager in charge, Sean, checked on us and we let him know our daughter’s burger was just a little undercooked and he gladly made a new one. He offered us custards and he really took care of us. It’s been a minute since I’ve had great customer service and he really made us feel special. Sean is great manager!

Love coming here to get the steak burgers, the fries are good along with the fry sauce. They have several different burger combos. The turtle sundae is one of my favorites here. The brewed sweet tea is also good. Front Counter and drive thru lines move along fast. Never had a problem with any of my orders!! The inside is always clean & condiments stocked up for customers.

Kids love this service. Down side some rmployees was rude to my children. My daughter is very sweet n gets hurt easily, they couldn’t hear her. Then looked at her n turned around like she doesn’t know how to order n pay by herself. On the bright side mama was there to help. I just didn’t like how they (she) didn’t respond to my daughter. My child is 6. A very smart outgoing kind & knowledgeable 6 year old she can pay for stuff and know she needs change. Get what she wants n pay. But other than that the place was clean the guy even came n asked us if we needed anything, super nice guy. Love the way it smells inside. Just wish they would be nicer to kids who order.

Came in tonight around 12PM, and let me just say this Freddys is incredible. It is so hard to find good hard working people these days, but this place is full of them. I had a talk with Breana D, after she had checked up on me at my table. She was so kind and I don’t think I ever saw her stop moving. The food was so fresh, the employees always had a smile on their face, and the restaurant was clean even at rush hour. 10/10 keep up the good work Freddys!

Stopped by because we were in Waco for the day. This a clean store with friendly staff. The food was hot, fresh and fast. I had the double bacon cheeseburger and cheese curds! They never disappoint! We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town.

The funnel cake ice cream sundae is sooooo good! I love the 50's era design and decor of this place. If you are in Waco, give it a try.

How good is Freddy’s? Look at the picture below. Clean plate club!! Look, Freddie’s is fast food, not a gourmet burger joint. But, for $11, you get a double burger, fries that are really good, and a drink. Not too bad. Give it a try. The freshly cooked burgers haven’t sat around for 15 minutes like in other places. You’ll like it.

I have a very hard time trying to feed my autistic kid, he only eats his save foods in combination with nutritional shakes, and Freddie’s fries it’s his safe food, we go literally everyday and the personal it’s always welcome and very understandable, we never have any problems with our everyday orders, I have to come back home in tears because it’s hard for me to find a place where my son can feel comfortable and happy, it means a lot to me to finally find a food chain that is always make us feel welcome and understood, all the workers are always polite and with a smile in their face, this is our favorite place to stop by and we recommend it to our community in general, you guys are doing a fantastic job ❤️

Today I went to Freddy's with a coupon that was given to me when I wasn't satisfied with a purchase it was for a free ice cream sundae in which I got all vanilla custard with strawberry and Oreo. 😋 Yummy. I also purchased a LG vanilla custard with Heath pieces and caramel. I explain to them to please make sure they made it correctly because I do purchase this often The large is a three scoop dish for about five bucks and you add your toppings. What I realized was I was only charged six bucks and some change so they gave me the large custard ice cream sundae for free and charged me for the price of the regular custard ice cream sundae. Iayiay and Corie were the 2 best servers ever. Thank you guys for the pleasant experience. 🥰☺️

One of the best places to stop, right of the highway & always super fast! Easy parking, plenty of space inside to eat. Really clean & fast! We ordered and I felt our order was made really fast. When I went up to pick other up, the nice guy apologized for taking so long, which in my opinion did not. They have it decorated really nice with a fall scheme. They have the best cheese curds & they carry Wild Cherry Pepsi! Try it for great steak burgers, hot dogs, cheese curds & delicious frozen custard!

There is something about Freddy's steak burgers. I think it's because they are thin steak patties. It's just satisfy to eat and there fries. A nice quick stop. Not gourmet but a nostalgic feel with good burger. Only few place I know that does the thin patty and their fry sauce is yummy. I like spice so I was happy with the jalapeño fry sauce. They also have cherry Pepsi on fountain.

Stopped at this location in Waco while traveling on 35. The service was fast and friendly and the food was hot and fresh, making it the perfect pit stop spot. The restaurant was clean, including the condiment and drink stations! The manager was visible and was helpful to customers and employees making the whole experience fantastic for fast food. I'm not sure if Freddy's is considered fast food or casual dining. You order at the counter, and wait 5-10 minutes for them to make your food to order. I ordered my usual pickles only, which they got right on the first time!! I did notice when I ordered the #1 - The Original Double Double, that it said cheeseburger, so I clarified with her I wanted pickles only, no cheese. She corrected it in the system to say steakburger. It didn't look like it automatically included cheese on the menu, so just double check if you do not (or if you DO) want cheese. The meal runs $9.99 for the "medium" meal, you do have the options to upsize to a "large" meal. I decided to try the onion rings instead of the standard fries that come with meal. This was only $0.25 more. Honestly though, I'll probably stick with the fries next time. They're just too good (they're shoestring and crispy and yummy)!

First time having Freddy's in Texas. We have Freddy's in California. It was one of our family favorites. It was nice seeing one out here. So we had to try it. It's good as always ! I had a single patty Burger 🍔 😋 and 🍟 fries. This Freddy's was no disappointment. Something about Texas meat and food is so much better then California. Anyhow, food was great and highly recommended this place. If you happen to be around here try it out! You won't be disappointed!

Good burgers! I like their fry sauce, too! Fries are nice and crispy and they really do make them right when you order. Love their ice cream and shakes, but I’ve rarely met ice cream I don’t like, lol. I’ve always experienced good service, too. The only thing is that they serve Pepsi products and not Coke products. I’m strictly a Diet Coke girl. But that’s not enough of an issue to downgrade them, that’s just my picky self.

Love this place, very clean and well run operation. Ordered some fries and concrete's, it all came really quick and was really tasty.

We were passing thru Waco and stopped by Freddy's for a quick bite for lunch. We were pretty impressed with our server (Hunter) that placed our order. She was super friendly and the biggest smile ever!! It is not often you see this kind of customer service anymore at fast food restaurants and felt it was worth mentioning. As we ate, we watched her continue to deliver the same quality service to others and she seemed to really care about delivering good customer service and keeping the place tidy and clean. Kudos to Hunter for a job well done!!

Half way in our trip came for lunch and place was very busy long line in drive and inside. A couple orders after us they stopped taking orders due to shortstaff and bieng behind on orders. Took at least 45min for our order but give the employees props for not stopping and continuing working.. but overall th e food was great like always

One of the best burger places to eat. The customer service left a lot to be desired... my granddaughter had ordered chicken strips and they failed to give her the dipping sauce. And no one even asked us until we were finished eating if everything was ok... not acceptable.

Freddy's has absolutely delicious tasting burgers! Their patties are very thin but packed with so much flavor. Their fry sauce is so good! I was concerned about how thin the fries are but they are very good and seasoned perfectly. The one thing I had a problem with was the cleanliness of the restaurant. The floors were greasy and I felt like I was going to slip in the restroom. Non of the tables were cleaned very well and everything felt sticky. Other than the sanitary problems, I had a great experience.

Chili fries were good. Staff was great. Patty melt ... The buns and toppings were fresh, the burger itself not so much. It was crunchy and so thin, I'm pretty sure part of it was just scrapings off of the grill.

Always a safe stop. Delicious food with a good variety to fit everyone's taste. The tables hadn't been cleaned in a while when we went in, but overall a good experience. Definitely a mid-century vibe about the place that makes you think of an old soda shop.

These bathrooms need some serious love everytime we drive through town and stop to grab some burgers hence minus one star. The people though and the quality of food are as consistently good as the bathrooms are bad. I'll take that match up than the other way around any day haha! Peanut butter cookie dough concrete. Great staff. I mentioned that we would order frozen custard after our meal, and our order taker brought us 2 custards that a drive through customer left behind. Very considerate!

I ordered the bbq brisket combo meal, with lg drink and med tator tots. Burger was just slapped together(DID NOT LOOK LIKE THE PICTURE AT ALL) I asked for NO pickles and pickles were on there. A day before ordered the same thing but with lg drink and lg onion ring(I got maybe 3 solid onion rings(they did correct it) but if I wouldn't have said anything, they sure as heck wouldn't have. Carelessness gotta do better with pples orders.

First time trying Freddy’s! Shared the bacon and cheese burger combo with fries and a turtle sundae. Outside of building was clean. I was surprised the fries were thin cut, not bad just surprised because it’s different. I forgot to ask for spicy fry sauce.. fortunately they put the original fry sauce in bag by default so I was able to try that. Once we ordered in drive-thru and paid, we were asked to pull around and park behind another car who was also waiting on food to come out. Want to go back to try onion rings!

Good burgers and frozen custard desserts. Their fries challenge McD's. I wasn't really impressed with onion rings, though. The staff were really nice and helpful. They brought food to our table when we didn't hear our number called. Well done!!

We had the blackbean burger, fries, and tots. Pretty good eating. If you're looking for a plant-based burger, this one is decent. Having something like the Beyond or Impossible burger would be a better option. Overall, we've been there before and will go again.

Stopped in for some much needed frozen custard on this hot day! Great friendly service and mice clean establishment. The toppings on our sundaes and concrete were generous. My only issue, which I reported before leaving, was finding what looked like their toilet bowl cleaning caddy sitting in the sink in the men's restroom. I'm sure it was just an oversight, but it was the last thing I saw before leaving...😬

A little bit expensive for a burger place. The French fries are very thin and taste like mostly the outer fried shell without much inner tater mass. The burgers don't come with lettuce or tomato, not sure if it's optional to add them. I guess this place is okay, if only for the fact that the restaurant is clean and has nice employees, unlike most of the other local fast food chains.

I feel the food here was rather expensive for what I received. I think the fries here are a bit of a joke. They are not your normal french fries, there are very very thinly cut. For one large soda, one medium soda, two double burgers one order of french fries, and one order of onion rings, I thought it was rather expensive. Maybe I'm getting too old, but I was expecting maybe $23 or $24. I think if a family of five eats here that it would be quite taxing on the family's budget to eat fast food here on a regular basis. The store was very clean and the employees were very friendly and knowledgeable.

Had a bit of a fiasco... waited for an exceptionally long time, and then received an incorrect order. However, the people there were extremely nice and made it all fresh... also gave me a coupon for a free meal. so, even though it wasn't perfect, it wasn't a disaster.... kudos to a fantastic staff.

Burgers were good Soda machine , several flavors were out of syrup and first person I talked to did nothing and manager said he would check it, but never did get a good drink.

Hamburger patties we're a little too well done. Could barely understand cashier with her mask on. When we walked into the restaurant there were customers sitting at four tables. It was difficult to find a clean table to sit at. As it was we chose the least dirty table we could find. Service was quick. Staff friendly.

My husband and his best friend talked this place up so much that for me personally, it was a big letdown. I love smashburgers (patties that are smashed flat on the griddle) but not when the edges are hard and crusty. I'm also not a fan of over-salty shoestring fries. That being said, the fried white cheddar cheese curds were awesome! The jalapeno dipping sauce is pretty good but I don't like pickles and so the aftertaste from the pickle juice in the sauce was at times a little off-putting. I wouldn't be opposed to returning because they do have good flavour, it just wasn't what I expected. I only gave it a three because I feel they overcook their meat and since they have their seasoning salt on the counter, maybe they could season the fries a little less and let the patrons add more if they wish. I mention the things that I didn't care for not as a negative review but so others will know in case these might be something they also don't care for. Maybe they could request less seasoning or see about less charring of their burger. I'll definitely give them another chance and try that myself if we are back in the area sometime. 😊

Regular Custard Turtle should have more pecans/toppings...mine had 3 pecans in a reg size....3 also very light on the chocolate/caramel. Burger seemed rushed, bread was soggy and not toasted.

Way too expensive, and burgers are only mediocre, the texture of the patties is weird. They have the best fries in town, and are very addictive, and the concretes are awesome. Or were awesome... I can't have the custard now that I know I'm dairy allergic.

We stopped in for dessert after the Baylor volleyball match. The sundaes we had were well made and very good. The only downer was that the employees didn't seem to enjoy working there, with two of them having an argument in the kitchen, with the young lady yelling at the gentleman, "You're a liar!". Management probably needs to step up and keep an eye out for these types of issues.

The Freddy's Double with Bacon was a bit salty for my taste. The shoestring fries were spot on though.

Have been going to Freddy's for a while. Alwyas liked the flavor and amount of fries, but the last three times I have come in, it has been less and less fries each time, and it is disappointing.

Of all the places in the grease pit, this is always one of the emptiest. Decided to go a couple days ago (because nearby canes was too crowded) and saw why. Waited in the drive through for literally 30+ minutes, while the inside of restaurant seemed empty. Not sure what the hold up was. This seems to be pretty common, I see cars waiting outside for their orders often. Food is fine, it’s a pretty standard burger, but they did forget to give me fry sauce, and napkins.

The food is good , the service is ok . They only have a couple people that have really good customers service skills. Most of the workers from the times I ate there stand around talking . They have a big problem with the homeless bumming food off the customers, it makes coming there not as enjoyable. If not for the few workers that work and the kitchen that makes the food , I wouldn't come.There are cheaper places to eat.

Went for the smash taco. They didnt have tortillas. Left and went to Jimmy Johns. Was going to post a view online but its fine.

Ordered a #1 dry with no onions in the drive thru. It had mustard on it. Sent it back. Came back dry and plain. Not how i ordered it. Got tired of waiting for them to get it right and I left. Will not be stopping at this location again.

I went to Freddy's on 10/06/24 at 9:46 pm I was the only car in the drive-thru I just ordered a Large Tot I paid at the window and I waited 10 minutes went by no food appeared I looked at the window it was partially opened the girl signaled the fry cook with the dread locks to fry the Tots and pointed at me to him waiting in my car, 10 more minutes went by finally got my food he put in a paper bag on the counter the bag had 5 grease spots on the outside of the bag and had a number on it and it was dirty like it had come off the floor I immediately waived down a CSR girl he had already walked away I showed her the grease spots all over the bag the fry cook just handed me she act like she couldn't see it after sowing her 3 times she called her co-worker over to the window and I showed her she saw the grease contamination spots on the bag and saw it was dirty on the outside but never gave an apology are reason for this bad service I told her "that's just nasty" and would report this incident she was like "okay".

Bought a simple cone from them. No offer of napkins. Frozen Custard was tasteless. Service was non-existent and slow if anything.

The food here was disgusting. It was not appetizing, no flavor and it looked like my sandwich was cut in half or maybe that’s the way it’s served. I couldn’t believe I played 10$ for a combo and I had half a sandwich that I didn’t even finish because it was nasty. Looked like the food was just thrown together to get us out of the drive thru line. Then we had to go back bc the cashier forgot to give us our drinks. The best thing we got from Freddy’s was the plastic wrapped utensil.

Not only was there a hair melted into the cheese and meat of my food, not only did they give me the wrong order that I ended up getting one bite out of then throwing away when I was greeted with hair on the first bite and not only are the older staff rude to me everytime I pick up a Door Dash! I went hungry since I live to far from the building to drive back and try to talk to someone! Terrible, completely disappointed and disgusted.

Had to ask for staff to clean off the tables which had been used by previously customers. Manager wasn't really bothered how dirty his dining room was. We ended up wiping off our own table with napkins and sanitizer.

I ordered a double meat cheeseburgerno onions my patties were the size of a crepe .no lettuce no tomato burgers falling apart when I open the box for $12. see videoe. Worst burger ever. The patties terrible. Nothing but burnt cheese. Very disappointed for 12$

Listing says store closes at 10. Got there at 8:40 and dining room was closed but drive through was open. Waited in the drive through line for 45 minutes only to find out they were out of their “famous” custard. Received our order, took it home to ear it and it was incorrect.

Every table in the place was dirty (we were the only customers using inside dining). Employees were sleeping in the and on the booths (see pictures). There were employees even playing baseball, using brooms as bats and food as the ball.

The restaurant and the restroom was not cleaned please I older a patty, melt it had to much grease and the fryer no salt on them thy was cold not even hot next time I just go to H-E-B and buy what I need to make a better sandwich and save me some time and maybe some cash.

This was my very first visit to Freddy's. Ive always wanted to go there but just never did. So I finally got a chance to visit and get some dinner for the family. I wish I would have kept going. Not one person in this place was friendly or had any light. They were all dead and just going through the motions. From the cashier to the guy who gave me my order. So I said to myself maybe the food will be awesome!!! NOPE! It was not good, over cooked, fries were terrible and not fresh or mixed in with old fries. Now the drink. I asked for tops for my drinks and the girl at the counter said they didn't have tops. Not sure why she didn't tell me this when she gave me the cups? I could have decided to go with another size. Im thinking to myself, why serve a size cup that you don't have tops for? And no! Not everyone is dinning in. How ridiculous this looks? I had to hold the cups to keep them from spilling. Thank God I did have to slam on brakes or I would have really been in trouble. Im extremely disappointed at this first visit. Im positive I will never go back.

The meat on the hamburgers was to salty impossible to eat, the prime rib was to old almost rotten. Really bad food

Edit: I had to drop to 1 star, came here with my husband for lunch and there was a homeless man sitting by himself at a table. The man didnt ask me for anything, I went to the register to order him a meal and the cashier didnt take my order, instead he told the manager and the manager asked him to leave. I was not allowed to order a meal for a man who was sitting quietly at a table not bothering anyone and not asking for anything, he was just hungry. I will not be back here, I understand if the man was causing issues but he was not. One of the employees saw on my church's Facebook that we were going to host a daddy daughter date their Friday night, the employees of Freddy 's took it upon themselves to reserve a large table, complete with beautiful roses and a nice table cloth for us. They had no way of knowing actually how large the group would be but seemed well prepared for us! The customer service here is fantastic. I work in a industry where 75% of my job is customer service and let me tell you this was above and beyond what was expected! We really appreciate you guys and will continue to host the annual daddy daughter date at your restaurant!

I ordered a kids meal hotdog they gave me a large with no frys and a kids plain hotdog for 8.79 so $9 for a plain hot dog with no frys also when i paid nobody was talking at all so the service wasnt good at all
