Love them Route 44. The hamburgers are good especially at this location it seems to be like the Sonic hamburgers that I remember 10 to 15 years ago and they actually clean their grease pits and you don't taste all Greece honey french fries or your mozzarella sticks or your onion rings actually taste like onion rings give this a thumbs up staff is very friendly though

I LOVE this location. I come by almost every day around 7-8am. The man and woman who run that place on the morning shift need a raise. They are kind, and most importantly they are very hard workers.

We visited this Sonic Drive-In located in Waco, Texas on June 17, 2024. It was very busy. We placed our order (for 3) and it was quickly delivered. Everything was VERY good. The professional staff, the clean location and the fast service. We recommend this location.

Ever since I started using the APP, I’ve been really pleased with the service. At this location, it’s always been pretty quick, too. So far I’ve had no problems with them messing up my order. They are super friendly also. I know they hire a lot of younger people (like high school kids) but they are always so kind and polite! This location is always super clean too. It’s a larger one with a third row for parking and a playground for kiddos and a drive-through. I think the landscaping is pretty, too.

I'm not impressed with most items. burgers taste good but seem like they've been under a heat lamp for awhile. However their onion rings are amazing. I often just order them.

This sonic has given me the wrong items multiple times and when I call back on the stall no one answers. Car hops are rude and have i can maybe count on one hand the amount of times i’ve seen them smile (part of the job description too!). Car hops here also only be nice if you tip, the amount of times the same car hop will be rude one day when i don’t tip and then all nice when i do-this isn’t how sonic works..coming from an ex sonic employee.. really disappointing and unfortunate that the employees all look like they hate their jobs so they don’t care to do it correctly. Couldn’t even get my orginal drink because they refused to answer the stall and when i tried to wave down the same car hop who brought me the wrong drink she just looked at me like i was an idiot. I ordered my food and shakes (for 2) and waited 30 minutes or longer and finally decided to leave. If someone would have communicated what the hold up was I would have been fine with that, but just leaving me hanging is not acceptable. The time before this I waited for 15 minutes and no one even came on speaker to take my order (yes i pushed button). What is wrong w/this place? I'm hoping not all Sonic locations are as bad as the one on north valley mills drive, i will not be back.

I was told at the stall that they were only accepting cash payments, which immediately raised concern. What makes this unacceptable is that I was able to place and pay for my order through the Sonic app with no issues at all, using a digital payment. That confirms the store was in fact able to accept non-cash payments, making the “cash only” statement false or, at best, misleading. Whether this was done to reduce order volume, avoid app orders, or push cash tips, it reflects poorly on staff integrity and customer service. Guests should not be turned away or given incorrect information because employees don’t want to work. I hope corporate reviews this location’s practices and retrains staff on proper communication and policy adherence. This experience seriously damaged my trust in this store.

I love sonic and would have loved to have gotten some food had I been able to order. I pulled in to an empty parking lot a good hour and a half prior to closing which should have been my first clue sat in multiple different stalls for 15+ minutes waiting for someone to answer the call buttons all the while this girl knew I was there. I see someone else come and go without food because I assume they didn’t answer them either. I give up and go through the drive through which I was going to do anyway because I had 2 separate orders one of which I was going to do in the stalls, the other in the drive through. I pull around and after waiting a minute the girl answers. I say “hi there I have 2 separate orders” before I can even get my sentence out the girl cuts me off with an attitude saying “We only take 1 order in the drive through at a time” to which I finally lose it and say “Ya know what nevermind thank you have a good night” and drove away. It shouldn’t be this difficult to order food. I wish I could give 0 stars. And I wish I could say this is the first time this location has given me trouble.

I had a very disappointing experience at this Sonic. The manager was rude, unprofessional, and showed poor customer service skills. Instead of resolving issues, they made the situation worse with a bad attitude. Management clearly needs improvement. Manger name is CHRISTINA

Christina was so rude we didn’t receive our sauces she came to look at our receipt and tells me she put it in the bag I told her she could look in our bag she precedes to tell me I took them out so I asked her to look back at the cameras from bagging my order because I need my sauce and she said now you get nothing either leave or I call Waco pd and leaves with my receipt the food was good minus the cheese-less pretzel

This was the last time we will come here. The past 4 times they have messed up the order, food was cold, refused to put the sauces in the bag, and they have extremely rude customer service. It worth driving further for a different Sonic.

I've been here a couple times in the past week and both times the man at the drive-thru was very unprofessional. I am unsure if he is the manager. The 1st time I just ordered French toast sticks and there was no syrup or straw in the bag. The second time I ordered an ultimate breakfast burrito with everything on it. There was only egg and sausage. I am very disappointed in this location. This used to be a hot spot for a nice hangout. Now its just trashy and I dont want to go back

The service at this Sonic is beyond terrible!!!! So unprofessional! I had to leave because of the time it was taking to get my drink and wrap. When I called to make sure they knew and ask about my refund, I was hung up on. I called back, surely that was an accident, nope. I was hung up on again! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

I usually enjoy coming to this sonic, but one of the managers at this location (Christin or Christina) makes my experience distasteful EVERYTIME! She is so rude/disrespectful and has very poor customer service. I am tired of the way she consistently treats customers and I’ve also heard unpleasant things she has said to the carhops. I don’t know why she still has a job here but the ones above need to terminate her from this establishment, ASAP!!!! Once she is permanently gone I will be more than happy to return as a customer.

Sonic is my grandbaby's favorite place to go get her tater tots, we always going to lunch time which is the best staff ever.. but unfortunately tonight she asked for tater tots of course we went to Sonic North valley Mills of course, Play always go to the playground area and I order there and we usually eat there we left..The only reason I ever go there it's because of the grandchildren, Bio means will never go to that place ever again in life.. the worst bad experience ever.. Night crew horrible... We get $16.51 worth of food.. we're give the young lady Christina had to be her name cuz that was on the receipt... 20.51 .. she said she's going to go get the change and never comes back,, So I have to walk up to the door there was a young lady and then I asked her could she ask the young lady could she give me my change because she had not gave it to me and I see that she was in there eating and doing something else... I heard someone scream something from the back but I didn't pay no mind because no one's going to scream when they talking to me ..no ma'am , not screaming you're not going to scream at me ,,You talk with people who respect how you want to be talked to.. The young lady that claimed she was the manager was it Caucasian lady that talked like she was African American.. with the poorest attitude the worst customer service I ever seen in the world to be a manager comes after hollering being disrespectful saying well she had to wait on me.. it was funny though if she had to wait on her because she was just standing up there and the employee was just standing there eating.. I don't think anybody had any intention of bringing me any change out to be honest.. then once you get the change to me she brings $3 and some change . Does not hand it to me, she chunks it towards my hand then , then walks off fast and lets the door close in my face,,,, I opened the door back up and told her that I gave the young lady the exact change 20,51, Shes turns around real fast grabs 50 cent and tries to give it to me, and then walk off again, I stated to her no ma'am I gave her the exact change you owe me a dollar,, all together it's just $4 bills back... I asked the young lady her name she would not give it to me she said that she was going to call her general manager and I told her that was fine, I will call them as well and let them know how she acts and spoke to me and treated me,, She stated to me since I was going to call the general manager she was going to call the police on me, so I told her to go ahead and call them, who's care I didn't do anything ..all I needed was my change... She did all of that for what I have no idea,, the worst customer service ever and if you ask me she does not need to be working in no fast food industry and front of no families that have children,, that was the most embarrassing thing ever,, and just imagine in front of my grandchild Wow and this is a manger of the night shift she stated she was..but she does not be to be.. does not know how to handle herself conduct business with others at all.. .. this was the worst experience ever there and let me tell you me and my grandbaby will never return there again that's why I put the review to let everyone know how she treated us, and how disrespectful she was in front of my grandchild, I don't know if something occurred at home but some people need to leave their problems at home and not bring them to work and if you are manager you sure need to know how to conduct yourself,,, The poorest experience ever and it's sad how one person's attitude and the way that they treat a customer can mess it up the best place my grandchild loves to go..Sonic does not need people working for them in their family environment,,. Acting unprofessional .. especially if the job title is a manager!!! Place is great. It's usually very clean and the hop staff are always friendly. Everyone is happy the old screens finally got updated. Unfortunately, you currently have a manager that is a real problematic. She yells & curses over the intercom, came outside to belittle and had attempted to intimidate customers with other staff. I understand the frustration of keeping up with a full lot and drive through, but crashin out on customers for simple kitchen mistakes and taking too long to take someones order is wild. Thats the short version l. I would love to talk to the owner about it.

I waited one hour to get a chili cheese tater tots and they still gave me the wrong order after telling them three times what it was. This was absolutely unacceptable and worthy of someone or the entire staff getting fired. I will never be going there again and I would heed others not to do it as well. The night shift employee that was working the drive thru smelled strongly of weed when they opened the window for me to pay. (Or someone else near them in the kitchen did, either way it was really strong) It gave me a bad headache and wave of nausea. I won't be going back at night time anymore. EDIT 9-13 around 10:40am; Morning shift completely ignores the drive thru customers. They never answered the switchboard after a long wait and saying "hello?" multiple times. After driving up to the window to see if they'd acknowledge me, more than one employee saw me and just ignored me completely. From now on, if I want Sonic I will be going elsewhere bc the staff at this one are just awful.

I visited the Sonic on Valley Mills in Waco to order a Route 44 soda water. The drive-thru speaker was difficult to hear, so I pulled forward expecting to place my order at the window, even with no one waiting in the drive through behind me. Instead, the employee told me to circle back around. When I did, she refused to take my order at all, was rude, and even threatened to call the police for no reason. Very poor customer service—I was simply trying to purchase a drink.

This is the worst Sonic in Texas and we frequent them often due to my GF love of Sonic coke and ice. This location has the slowest response time, the booth menus don't work, the manager/owners don't repair the booths or the drive through and rarely are the foods/drinks ever on time. Whomever owns this location needs their franchise revokes or put on probation. This location is near an HEB and a McDonalds but I'm now willing to go the extra miles because of the terrible service. Too bad I can't give this place a ZERO star.

All around a negative experience. They took 20 minutes to get my order out, even though I ordered ahead of time. Beyond that I was given a bag full of incorrect items. When I drove around to fix my order the gentleman I spoke with was rude and didn’t care to listen about what was incorrect, his only goal was to inform me the ice cream machine was “broke”. Getting to the window I was handed the incorrect item again, and was given backlash for wanting my correct order (I was never given that refund for my ice cream). As if that wasn’t enough, when I got home and started to eat I notice a long disgusting hair in the middle of my burger. I am extremely dissatisfied with the whole experience, and honestly pretty disgusted over what I and many others have eaten. This occurred 05-28-2023 7:35 PM.
