They now have their Happy Hour menu all day which is such a great deal! I love the Happy Hour fish tenders! I also love all their fried rice options on the regular menu. A big portion so it is great to take half home for another meal! Definitely try this place! Service was great today, too!
Came on a Monday evening and had a nice meal at the bar. They have happy hour Monday through Thursday from 11:30 to close. Chef's choice oysters were $2 and did not disappoint. It had been awhile since I've had a properly cleaned oyster, so thank you for that 🙏 We tried the soft-shell crab sliders (crispy and flavorful), crab fried rice (the egg in it was seasoned - the rice needed a little something but it was good) and we had the tuna sashimi (so good!). I also ordered the Electric Verde cocktail, which had a subtle spice and smokiness. The bartender was friendly and service was quick. The place was clean, considering there is only outdoor seating. Parking was a bit rough if you're just going for food, so I'd recommend walking around for a little window shopping as well. Overall, a nice place to go for drinks and fish. We will be returning for oysters and to try the other dishes 😁
This place was great!! Went here for a late dinner with drinks. Everything we had was amazing! Between the salmon carpaccio and the albacore sashimi, I'm not sure which one was my favorite. The oysters were great too and came with a lemony cilantro sauce that was amazing! The brussel sprouts were super crispy and melt in your mouth. For cocktails I really liked one called The Gentlemen - I mean, how can you go wrong with gentleman jack?? The restaurant is mostly outdoors but there is a portion that is indoors as well. They do have heaters but on a cold night be sure to bundle up! The bartender told us this place gets packed when the weather warms up so be prepared for a wait. Overall I really enjoyed this place and would definitely come back again!!
Love this place! Fish and Asian fusion make for fantastic food. I always get the boonie pasta which has bits of uni in it. It ends up tasting almost like fish macaroni and cheese. And then I always get the jalapeno garlic chicken wings which are pretty delicious as well. My wife always gets the oysters and the oyster shooter. Delicious food and outdoors to boot. You will not be disappointed here.
Went to this place on a Friday in Lent. We sat outside on a slightly cold evening but there were burners out to keep us warm. There is a wide selection of alcohol here. The fried lobster here is very different. It was a little weird to deshell a breaded lobster but I really enjoyed the dish, it was tasty and had a great combinations of tastes and textures.
Great food and oyster selection. Nice and fast service. Opening hours: Weekdays: until 9-10pm depends Weekends: till 11pm approx (depends)
Had an an amazing time here still giving 5 stars even though they change for bread. Food was great. Pro tip you can get more seafood by ordering off individual items rather than paying for the seafood tower
Some of the best oysters I've had in the neighboring area! Place was a little under staffed, but Amy got everything out in a decent time and it was all fresh. Downed a dozen of those buggers in no time. Great Happy Hour specials. Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a chill spot outside. Will return.
Oysters , Glass of wine, crab sliders, fish tacos ( not pictured)..you cannot go wrong with happy hour here . Oysters are always fresh and food is always well made.
Fresh oysters - delicious Uni pasta - so rich, uni infused sauce topped with uni. Garlic shrimp pasta - garlicky with tons of shrimp I mean, if you love seafood, what more can you ask for? Awesome knowledgeable staff, I would suggest sitting at the bar. This is a place you want to come back and try everything on their menu.
Had a lovely meal with celiac dining restrictions great and thoughtful service! Yellowtail collar was 10/10, and our server brought alternative sauces to be sure we had a safe meal
We dined at Joey in Woodland Hills and had a great overall experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt upscale but still relaxed and comfortable. The restaurant has a modern, stylish vibe that works well for both a casual dinner and a special night out. The food was excellent. Everything we ordered was well prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell the kitchen pays attention to detail, from the quality of the ingredients to how each dish is plated. The menu has a great variety, so everyone at the table was able to find something they enjoyed. The service was also a highlight. The staff was attentive, friendly, and professional without being overbearing. They checked in at the right times and made sure everything came out smoothly. Overall, Joey in Woodland Hills is a great spot for good food, a nice ambiance, and a solid dining experience. Whether you’re going with friends, family, or for a date night, it’s definitely a place worth visiting.
Ethan and Sarah are such great assets. My husband and I came here for the first time. We both work in luxury hotels and have a critical hospitality eye. Their pleasant, authentic and service oriented personalities add to the vibe and great food. Also, as a Spaniard, THANK YOU for having a Ribera Del Duero and not the typical Rioja. Finca Resalso is such a great choice and I would come back just because of this wine being in the list!!
Esme was truly the best sever. She was working so hard to make sure everything perfect. She even made our desert special because she heard it was our anniversary. I would 100% return here just to have her be my server again. I asked if she had any help because i noticed she was the only one tending to all the tables with their food & even cleaning up after them. She was truly was the most wonderful person tonight.
We came in on a super busy, rainy night and Maddy STILL made sure my friends and I were taken care of. It was my friend’s birthday and she truly made the night special. She was so attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. The food was delicious I had the sushi and the steak, both so good! Thank you, Maddy, for the amazing service. Highly recommend!
If you’re looking for a restaurant that hits every single note — flavor, ambiance, location, and the kind of vibe that keeps you coming back — this place absolutely delivers. The hibachi wings are the star of the show: grilled to perfection, smoky, juicy, and coated in a sauce that somehow manages to be sweet, spicy, and addictive at the same time. They’re the type of wings you order “just to try,” and the next thing you know you’re on your second plate. Also your offered champagne right when you enter! I love that ! The chicken tikka is another standout — tender, marinated just right, and bursting with that deep, layered flavor you only get from a chef who actually cares. It’s perfectly charred, perfectly seasoned, and honestly one of the best versions I’ve had outside a traditional Indian kitchen. The ambiance ties it all together. The location is perfect — elevated but still comfortable, stylish without being pretentious, giving you that balance of chill energy and upscale dining. Low lighting, great music, and a crowd that knows how to set the vibe. It’s the kind of spot you walk into and automatically feel good in. And the best part? The people you run into. This place stays packed with recognizable faces. I actually met some cast members from a Tyler Perry show during my visit — super down-to-earth and friendly — and it’s no surprise because a lot of celebrities frequent here. It’s definitely one of those restaurants where you never know who you’ll see, but the energy is always top-tier. Overall, between the incredible food, smooth service, and that effortlessly cool atmosphere, this is absolutely a must-try. Perfect for dinner, late-night hangs, date night, or anytime you want good food and vibes.
I'm sitting here for the second time this week, writing a review on highly anticipated treats. I love coming here, enjoying a taster before sitting. Everything I've had here has been delicious. Mostly small dishes or shared things. Highly recommend for solo eaters as well as fun dates. I love the atmosphere and Karalyn and Drew are just lovely. Cheers!
Very nice casual yet high end menu of seafood. Price of cocktails were a little high. Food was absolutely great. Very happy. Will go again.
Overall the experience was good, we have a good server tonight. She was very friendly and helpful also came by asking us how's the food. The chicken wings were delicious and the environment were good too.
Had a good first experience at EMC. It is not a traditional restaurant as it is mostly tables on the patio and a bar section. Cool vibe but not a quite sit down place if that's what you're looking for. Wife and I went for dinner and the food was great. Oysters were fresh and tasty, the ceviche was good, albacore sashimi was delicious and the clams (and noodle broth) were awesome. Our waitress "V" was really nice and made great suggestions. I think they may have been a bit short staffed when we went as V was covering a lot of tables and even seemed to be behind the bar a few times. A good experience nonetheless and we would definitely go back.
Cheap wine and great oysters makes for a perfect combination. Out of all of the generic and boring chains in the Village, this place is a hidden gem. Service is always attentive and polite, and the bar is a lot of fun and unpretentious. I recommend the uni pasta and any of the oysters. Updating my review. Service and food seem to be going downhill here. Came here on a Wednesday and was served 3 bad oysters out of 6. Service was really slow as well despite not being busy. This is the second visit in a row where the oysters weren't fresh. Crossing this place off my list unfortunately.
Nice location, good food. Took some time to get service, but once we had a waiter, all was good.
We ordered half a dozen of the fat bastards oystets, uni pasta and lobster roll (not shown). Service was pretty slow but when our food came, we basically inhaled everything in sight. The oysters came first pretty darn good. Then the uni pasta came next so creamy and tasty. Last but not least, the lobster roll, the bun was so buttery and flaky with fresh lobster pieces, so bomb. We dipped the lobster roll in the left over uni pasta sauce which made it even better than it already was. Finish the meal with warm sake and beer. Great meal, a bit pricey, totally worth it tho.
Ambiance was nice. Waitress started off very tentative as far as bringing drinks and taking order. But then she fell off. When we got food it was cold but we didn't send back because we waited for a long time and was too hungry to wait any longer. Wings were great. Steak was good. DO NOT ORDER the lobster tail it was soggy and disgusting. Kids had burger and they ate it all. Not sure if I would come back. It was a Monday night no reason why food took so long probably because it was sitting because it was very cold. We celebrate d a birthday dessert was meh
The food is well prepared and creative. After a terrible experience at another location, this location was a great place. The service was every bit of funny and friendly, meaning the staff weren’t AI T1000 Skynet robots. Still need to try more food to find their signature plate. Special thanks to Valeria for making the evening amazing!!!
Cajun oysters were fine. Shrimp noodles were also just fine—a little over cooked but the portion was generous. Just not awesome, considering the price. Possibly an off night for the kitchen? Also, just FYI, it's entirely outdoor seating, and still fairly chilly despite the heat lamp.
I made reservations here to celebrate my wife birthday. We were seated in their outdoor patio which I didn't want because it was hot and humid especially since we had a newborn baby with us. The patio also only had like two other guest sitting out there while everyone else was seated inside. I asked if we could sit inside but the host said she don't know when a table would open up so I decided to stay where we got seated. Our server was Ethan, he was great to talk to but the issue I had was it took forever to get a refill on my soda even though I saw him serve other tables near us. I didn't get my refill until after I finished my food and was waiting to pay. Maybe he was the only one working the patio and overwhelmed. We ordered the Scallops and Shrimp ceviche, Chilean Sea Bass, top sirloin, salmon, joey burgers and dumplings. All of our food was delicious but just sitting outside in the humid weather is what made the experience not so great.
Less of an Uni "Pasta" and more of a Soup. Extremely sauce heavy to the point that I didn't finish it. On top of that the dish felt like it was missing an element as far as texture. The noodles themselves were decent, otherwise it would be 1 star.
The seafood pasta was just not good at all. It tasted like they used a canned tomato sauce and added nothing else. I couldn’t finish it, I had to put it in the trash. Wasted my money with that one!
When the food finally arrived it was flavorful and nutritious, but with such chaos swirling around, it was not worth the time. Five different personnel poorly coordinated efforts to take drink, food and dessert orders--and delivering them. The drinks arrived long after the food was eaten. Table side smoking of the cocktail didn't happen and had to be requested... And then the torches had no fuel. When they finally burned, the drink tasted like butane! During the holidays, staffing should be coordinated, efficient and friendly. None of these elements were present. Add to this a table of 14 celebrating a bridal shower and you get the picture. A romantic anniversary meal itself became memorable for how bad dining out can be.
Mercedes. That is the name of the manager who completely ruined what should have been a great experience. I have been coming to Joey for a long time. I have taken business meetings here, brought my girlfriend on dates, and recommended this place to others. Today I was here with a close friend visiting from New York and it was his first time. We were seated outside on the patio. I will take accountability first because I was vaping. Being outside and with no signage posted, I honestly thought it would be okay. What was not okay was the way Mercedes approached our table. She came at us aggressively, with a nasty tone, and immediately threatened to kick me out if I hit my vape one more time. There was no calm explanation, no respectful warning, just hostility. It felt like she was power tripping and looking for a confrontation instead of simply doing her job professionally. My friend from New York was visibly uncomfortable and even said that if this is how customers are treated here, he would never come back. That says a lot, especially when someone is visiting for the first time. I fully understand rules need to be enforced, but there is a right way and a wrong way to do it. Her approach was rude, disrespectful, and completely unnecessary. I cannot help but wonder if her behavior had anything to do with how we look, because the way she spoke to us was not how loyal paying customers should ever be treated. Unfortunately, because of Mercedes and the way she handled this situation, Joey may have just lost a loyal customer.
