We ate here twice this week on our ski trip to Winter Park. The first time was on a Friday and we had a HARD time to find 2 seats. We had to spy someone leaving and pounce on the spot. We ordered 2 lunches and the food was very good but the price seemed a bit high even with our Ikon Pass discount. It’s kind of inconvenient that the restrooms are downstairs. Hard to do stairs in ski boots. The fries were outstanding but enough for 4 people. We also loved the French dip sandwich. Overall we liked it and returned again on Monday (was almost as crowded as Friday). It just seems like the room is over capacity all the time.

December 2024 Lunch and Apres Lodge at Winter Park Ski resort. Had lunch, chili and went for drinks after skiing ⛷️ Local live music 🎵 was nice. It's at 11,222 feet on the mountain 🏔️

Good food here but very limited selection and limited tables as well. Surprisingly good pizza tho - they have a coal fired oven

Pretty darn good food for an on mountain ski resort restaurant. The pizza is freshly made and good, green chilli was excellent, and the cobb salad was quite good as well. It’s the best food on the mtn. Can get a little crowded, has a decent bar, and a good sized outdoor patio! Take a break and have a beer, lunch, and enjoy some sunshine!

Went to the Lunch Rock every day we skied to warm up, and fill up on hot cocoa. It is always packed though, we sat outside most days because it was packed inside. Mac and cheese is perfect for a cold day! Cant wait to come back and enjoy a lawnchair and a view with my lunch

The bar has a great beer selection and makes an awesome Bloody Mary. The food is overpriced (even by ski resort standards) and doesn't have the best selection. Some stuff differentiated, but the lacked staples like chili.

Great spot on the mountain to grab a bite. Food is expensive and expected to be so. You need to get into the line for what type of food you want ex. Pizza, sandwich, salad/soup. Which can be difficult if you're with people wanting different times but paying together. They offered canned beer which is super awesome so you don't have to wait at the bar. If you come during lunch expect it to be packed and seating limited.

Disappointing lack of gluten free options (“gluten friendly” pizza cooked on the same surface as regular pizza unfortunately won’t be safe for those with celiac/coeliac due to cross contamination). Only gf option was fries, which are done in a dedicated fryer. An upside was that the fries were a huge portion! It’s possible there’s more options when it’s not on a reduced early season menu, but overall pretty disappointing for the truly gf skiers.

It’s a nice facility on the mountain with lots of windows and seating. The service is not great. No sense of urgency. There was a line building during the lunch rush and the two employees ignored the line of people, deciding instead to tag team prep bowls of macaroni and cheese. One employee was watching the fries fry in the deep fryer rather than helping customers. Skip this place if you want a quick lunch stop. The food was just ok, the fries were old and instead of throwing them out when fresh ones were ready, they just piled the fresh ones on top of the very old ones.

The food wasn't great even compared to the other places to eat out on this and other mountains. Horribly crowded (after 1pm even).

I picked up five donuts and there was no price on them, they charged me $39. It's starting to get insane regarding the prices here.

Their Bloody Mary was disgusting. I could only get through a quarter of it. Tasted like liquid sweet shrimp cocktail sauce with mostly ice. Plus it was $16 after tax not including tip.
